Reeses Puffs Cereal, which Bakura's eating out of the box, sleepy-eyed, with his hair in his face, just like he does every morning. The Other One's far away somewhere, wherever it is that he goes. Right now, it's just the two of them.
Pegasus grabs a handful as he goes by, and Bakura looks up at him. "Want me to fix you a bowl?" He has the milk out and the cereal poured before Pegasus has a chance to say no, and he sets it on the table.
Then they both sit down. "You're the one who doesn't eat enough," Pegasus says. He shoves the bowl across the table. "You don't eat enough," pushing the spoon after it, "and you're all over bruises." He waits, glaring sternly, until Bakura takes the first bite. "If I had any kind of sense, I'd take you out of here. I'd put us both on a plane, and we'd fly to the U.S. right now, and I'd hide you away, keep you all to myself."
Bakura eats cereal steadily. For a while the only sound is the spoon, scraping porcelain, as he gets the last few bites.
"That's what I'd do," Pegasus says. "It would be just you and me," dreamily, "and the big desert sky all around us."
After a while, the bowl is empty. Bakura leaves the spoon in it, and pushes them both away. "Yeah," he says. He doesn't pull away when Pegasus puts his arms around him, and when he kisses him, Bakura kisses back.
There's still a few hours before the Entity will be back, probably. More than enough time for them, if they start right now, and they're both used to that. Pegasus pulls him a little closer, leaning over the back of the chair. "I will do it, somehow," he says. "I'll take you away, and you'll never have to put up with this, ever again."
Bakura gives him a kiss. "Yeah," he says, and he manages to sound like he believes it while he's saying it.
