"I. Love. You."
He did it right this time. He knew he nailed it. All afternoon he'd been buying flowers at various shops. Six different kinds of chocolates in heart shaped boxes, and a stuffed pink bear so large it claimed the entire corner of his living room. Annabeth stood by the door, framed with flower petals, candles, and streamers. A glow in her eyes that swarmed his heart with flutters.
Then she crossed the room to him in three simple steps and plucked a chocolate out of one of the heart shaped boxes he was holding open.
"I love you too. Dork," she smirked, then fell into the teddy bear's arms.
He facepalmed.
