bopdog111: Well guys you had seen the beginning of this fic.
Ulrich362: True, something related to the Shadows is going on in Domino City and in order to investigate the Shadow Operatives are joining the tournament Seto Kaiba is hosting.
bopdog111: Along the way they will meet a new face, and get some practice in with the Dueling Robot, Kaiba Corp. supplied them in.
Ulrich362: Sounds good to me. Enjoy the chapter.
Disclaimer: We don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! or Persona but we own the OCs!
It had been a few hours since the team got started to create there own cards. It was hard, and labor-intensive at first but later they gotten use to it.
To start Mitsuru went with a Arctic Empire Deck, which can freeze her opponent's cards locking them down effectively.
Then Akihiki went with a Thunder Boxer Deck which swarms around the opponents for quick attacks before the opponent can react.
Yukari then went with a Gale Sniper Deck which uses attacks through piercing or direct attacks with Spell/Trap support.
Fuuka herself made a Sentry Deck to fit her navigator lead to check her opponent's cards, and use effects based on what she finds.
Aigis was tough herself but made a hybrid of a Persona/A.I. Maiden Deck which uses her ability of the Wildcard to call Personas, and her role as a Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon for protection.
Ken had a lot of creativity as since Koromaru can't duel with them made a Deck symbolizing them both known as the Beast Tamers which focus on Normal Monsters, and summoning Fusion Monsters by banishing the cards needed.
And finally Junpei created a Olympian Deck that uses Tribute Summoning at it's finest to gain multiple effects while also making sure he remembers Chidori by making a special card in the Deck about her.
Each with there own characteristics, and abilities which they want to test out against a opponent like the Dueling Robot but even though they finished creating the Decks the robot seemed to take longer to set up.
"Fuuka-san, do you need any help?" Aigis asked her.
Fuuka looked over before smiling, "I'd appreciate that Aigis. But I think I can manage some more."
"If anyone can figure this out it's Fuuka." Yukari smiled.
Mitsuru watched on with a smile before she received a call on her phone. Blinking she answered it. "Hello?"
"Mitsuru-sempai." was a female voice on the phone, "Just calling to let you know that we're finished uploading the data Kaiba Corp provide for the robot. We just need it to be connect before we can get it working."
"I see, we'll be right there." she mentioned. "They're ready for us, the robot just needs to be connected and we can get started."
"Just a bit more wiring." Fuuka said to them before an important thought came to her. Stopping on the robot for a sec Fuuka turned over, "Actually now that I think about it who's going first to practice against this robot?"
Ken was quite surprised from this but after thinking about it makes sense. He was the only one who has the experience in Duel Monsters so it makes perfect reason for him to test it. With a determined look he nodded, "Right, I'll do my best."
Nodding they stepped back as Fuuka turned the robot on.
"Alright robot's connected!" a female voice over the speaker announced as they looked seeing from a glass window above was a girl that has auburn hair in a ponytail along with barrettes which form the roman numeral XXII. Along with that she is wearing a white long sleeve shirt with long blue jeans while wearing blue, and white-laced sneakers telling them on a microphone, "You guys might wanna keep your distance cause we don't know just how much power this baby is packing!"
"Uh... Mitsuru-sempai, can you ask her something for me before we start?" Ken asked Mitsuru.
"Is something bothering you?" Mitsuru inquired.
Ken only explained, "Well... if there is a difficulty setting on the robot can it be placed on the highest? I mean, we're gonna be facing really strong opponent's in the tournaments who won't hold back against us... so we should face the robot's full abilities to try, and make it the same."
"That's true." Mitsuru nodded.
"If you're certain Mitsuru-san." the female voice stated. "It's set to the highest difficulty setting."
Ken nodded before he used the button which the Duel Disk flared to life attaching some mechanisms before several devices shot out around the field started to glow around.
"Alright..." Ken takes a breath breath, "I'm ready."
With that he gears to duel.
"DUEL!"

Duel Robot 1st Turn:
"Turn begins." the Duel Robot takes the first turn before it spins it's join hand as a card appeared on the Duel Disk portion, "Normal Summon, Vorse Raider, Attack Position."
At that a light gathered on the field to the robot's left monster zone before what rose was a beast like warrior that's wearing black armor with some horns, and holding a two handed curved axe.

This wicked Beast-Warrior does every horrid thing imaginable, and loves it! His axe bears the marks of his countless victims.
"Incredible, it's just a hologram but it looks so lifelike." Junpei admitted.
"Activate Continuous Spell, Dust Barrier." the robot activates a spell next.
(face-up)
Dust Barrier
Continuous Spell Card
Face-up Normal Monsters on the field are unaffected by your opponent's Spell Cards. This card is destroyed during your second Standby Phase after activation.
A seal from the card build on the ground below Vorse Raider like giving it a protected seal from anything that can harm it.
"Interesting." Akihiko grinned.
"While face-up on the field Normal Monsters on my field cannot be effected to opponents Spells." the robot explained, "During second Standby Phase after activation card is destroyed."
Ken only watched on at this while the robot places two cards face-down each side by side of Dust Barrier as larger versions appeared behind Vorse Raider. "Set two cards, turn over."
Duel Robot's Hand: 1/Field: Vorse Raider (Attack Position), Dust Barrier (face-up), Two Set Cards
Ken 1st Turn:
"Okay... my first turn in a long time..." Ken takes a card before closing his eyes taking a deep breath, "Here goes!" He drew at that before looking at his drawn cards, and checked at his hand.
"Show us what you can do Ken." Junpei grinned as Koromaru barked encouragingly.
The others nodded seeing that. Ken looked seeing he drawn a blue monster card before he then placed it in his hand, and grabs a second card, "Well first... I think I'll... Yeah, I'll use this! Call of Loyalty!"
A spell showing a silhouette of a human shaping as him with a dog following him appeared walking down a road with a sunset overhead.
Call of Loyalty
Normal Spell Card
If only your opponent controls a monsters: Special Summon 1 "Beast Tamer" or 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster from your Deck in Defense Position. If this Set card is destroyed by an opponent's card: You can Special Summon 1 "Beast Tamer" or 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster from your GY in Defense Position. You can only activate 1 effect of "Call of Loyalty" per turn.
"Since your the only one that has a monster, I can summon either a Beast Tamer or a Dark Attribute Beast Normal Monster from my Deck." Ken said before taking his Deck out of his Duel Disk, and checked through it. Finding the card he's looking for he grabs it, and placed it on his Duel Disk, "So come Beast Tamer Stella!"
At that what rose was a young girl the same age as he is with long crimson hair in a braid wearing a hide ragged armor with a strap around her chest with some covering her legs like a skirt with animal hide made shoes while holding a long staff with a deer skull on it, and she opened her eyes with a grin showing a missing tooth, and blue eyes.

During your End Phase: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Attack Position, then you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower DARK Beast monster from your hand or GY in Defense Position. If this card is banished: You can add 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster from your Deck to your hand, then discard 1 card. You can only activate each effect of "Beast Tamer Stella" per turn.
The others nodded seeing that.
"Then..." Ken looks back at his hand. Nodding he takes a card placing it, "I summon Guiding Companion in Attack Position!"
At that a light aroused from beside Stella before what jumped out was a brown shiba inu dog with a red bandana around it's neck barking.

Beast/Normal
ATK: 1200
DEF: 1000
A fierce canine that is loyal to all those who makes peace with it.
"Huh, wait didn't the rules say you only summon once a turn?" Junpei asked.
"Normally you can." Ken explained remembering what the rulebook said, "What I done for Stella first is Special Summoned her. Special Summoning is a summon that isn't limited, you can do how much you want by following the effects of the cards. It also doesn't use up your Normal Summon either."
"Oh yeah." Junpei nodded.
Looking at his hand Ken then grabs a card, "Then I use Loyalty of the Master & the Companion!"
Loyalty of the Master & the Companion
Normal Spell Card
If you control 1 "Beast Tamer" monster, and 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster face-up while your opponent controls a monster with higher ATK then either of those monsters: Draw 2 cards. You can only activate 1 "Loyalty of the Master & the Companion" per turn.
"With a Beast Tamer, and a Dark Attribute Beast Normal Monster on my field while you have a monster that has higher points then either of those monsters, I can draw 2 cards." Ken drew two cards from that looking, "Then I use the Equip Spell, Master's Loyalty!"
(Equipped to Beast Tamer Stella)
Master's Loyalty
Equip Spell Card
Equip only to a "Beast Tamer" monster. Your opponent cannot target other monsters you control for attacks. If the equipped monster attacks an opponent's monster: You can have the equipped monster gain ATK equal to the ATK of 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster you control that's in Attack Position. If this card is sent to the GY: You can shuffle this card from your GY into your Deck.
Beast Tamer Stella: (Equipped with Master's Loyalty)
Stella grinned as she rubbed the head of the dog as it barked licking her hand before she stepped beside it as it growled at Vorse Raider.
"They work together, just like you and Koromaru." Yukari smiled seeing that.
Ken smiled before calling, "Alright Stella attack Vorse Raider!" Stella grinned running forward at Vorse Raider with Guiding Companion running beside her. "Then Master's Loyalty's effect allows Stella to gain points equal to Guiding Companion's points!"
Beast Tamer Stella: (ATK: 1300 + 1200 = 2500)
"Très impressionnant." Mitsuru noted. "By having the two weaker monsters join forces they become more powerful than his adversary. We should all keep that kind of tactic in mind."
But...
The Duel Robot soon reacted as one of the face-down cards rose up, "Trap activate."
Mirror Force
Normal Trap Card
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Destroy all your opponent's Attack Position monsters.
"A trap?" Ken's eyes widen when he sees this.
"Mirror Force. When opponent attacks, destroy all Attack Position monsters."
A barrier popped which Stella struck only for the barrier to retaliate firing light beams at Stella, and Guiding Companion destroying both while Ken watched in shock from this.
"Are you alright?" Fuuka asked nervously seeing that.
"Yeah... just surprised, I fell for that." Ken admitted. "The robot is placed on the highest difficulty, I should've guessed it had a trap card waiting when I overpowered it's monster."
"Well, what happens now?" Junpei asked him.
Ken looked at his hand, and by the look in his eyes, not much as he sets a card. "I end with 1 card face-down."

Duel Robot 2nd Turn:
"Turn starts, draw." the Duel Robot drew before it placed a monster beside Vorse Raider, "Summon Caninetaur, Attack Position."

Once per turn, if this card battles an opponent's monster, during damage calculation (in either player's turn): You can send 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to the sent monster's Level x 100, until the end of the Battle Phase.
Koromaru growled seeing the monster.
"Don't worry Koromaru-san." Aigis reassured him. "They aren't real and Ken will be ok."
"Battle Phase." the Duel Robot announced before directing. "Vorse Raider attacks directly."
Vorse Raider charged in raising it's axe, and slashed down Ken who backed up flinching from the holographic attack while Vorse Raider jumped back to the robot's field. (Ken: 2100/Hand: 3)
"That isn't good." Yukari frowned.
"Caninetaur attacks directly."
Caninetaur galloped forward towards Ken readying it's dagger before Ken called, "Quick-Play Spell! Canine's Loyalty!"
Canine's Loyalty
Quick-Play Spell Card
If your LP is lower then your opponent's while you have a "Beast Tamer" monster in your GY: Target 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster in your GY who's ATK is equal or lower then the difference of both player's LPs; Special Summon that target in Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Canine's Loyalty" per turn.
"With my points lower, I can summon Guiding Companion back from the graveyard to protect me!"
The graveyard portal opened before Guiding Companion jumped out landing in front of Ken to protect him.
Guiding Companion: (Defense Position)
Caninetaur attacked destroying Guiding Companion but since it was in defense position Ken didn't take any damage.
Ken sighed in relief, "Thanks boy." He was saying this to Guiding Companion that was destroyed to guard him.
"Caninetaur effect activated." they looked as the Duel Robot sent a card. "When battles monster, send 1 Beast or Beast-Warrior from Deck to graveyard, Caninetaur gains 100 points equal to level. Sent Level 7, Garnecia Elefantis."
Caninetaur: (ATK: 1500 + (100 * 7) = 2200)
"That thing gets stronger too?" Yukari cried in shock.
"During end of Battle Phase, Caninetaur effect ends."
Like the Duel robot said, Caninetaur's ability vanishes.
Caninetaur: (ATK: 2200 - 700 = 1500)
"Oh, it's only temporary... that's good at least." Junpei admitted.
Fuuka then wonders something mentioning, "So... why exactly would it do that? If it gets stronger during battle, and Ken's monster was in Defense Position wouldn't that mean damage wouldn't come through no matter how strong it can be?"
"That... um... Ken?" Junpei asked.
Ken shakes his head just as confused as they are. "Don't look at me, I don't have a solid clue."
"Spell activate."
Hearing that they looked seeing the Dueling Robot activating another spell, "Silent Doom."
Silent Doom
Normal Spell Card
Target 1 Normal Monster in your GY; Special Summon it in face-up Defense Position, but it cannot attack.
"Special Summon 1 Normal Monster from graveyard in Defense Position but can't attack." the Duel Robot explained the spell's effect.
"What's it doing now?" Akihiko inquired.
"Rise Garnecia Elefantus."
The graveyard portal rose in between the two Beast Warriors before what rose was a large elephant like monster that trumpet loud wielding a large sword with armor on before knelling down crossing it's arms.

He got his answer, "Activate spell, White Elephant's Gift."
White Elephant's Gift
Normal Spell Card
Send 1 face-up non-Effect Monster you control to the GY; draw 2 cards.
"Send Garnecis Elefantus to graveyard." the large monster lowered back to the graveyard before the robot drew two cards, "Then draw 2 cards."
Ken's eyes widened seeing that.
"Set two cards. Turn over." the Duel Robot end it's turn.
Duel Robot's Hand: 0/Field: Vorse Raider (Attack Position), Caninetaur (Attack Position), Dust Barrier (face-up), Two Set Cards
Ken 2nd Turn:
Ken grunted before looking at his Deck, "Okay let's try this again..." He takes his Deck before drawing, "My turn!" Looking at his drawn card he nods getting an idea.
"Are you going to be ok?" Fuuka asked him.
Ken nodded to her. "I'm focused now. I won't be off guard again." He sees his drawn card was his Persona, Nemesis, which he takes another card in his hand, and shows it, "I activate the spell, Undying Loyalty!"
Undying Loyalty
Normal Spell Card
Banish 2 monsters from your GY (1 "Beast Tamer" monster, and 1 DARK Beast Normal Monster), then Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that has those monsters listed on that monster as material, ignoring its Summoning conditions. During your Standby Phase, you can banish this card from your GY: Add 1 "Beast Tamer" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Undying Loyalty" per turn.
"By banishing 2 monsters from the graveyard a Beast Tamer, and Dark Attribute Beast Normal monster, I can then summon a new monster." Ken explained to the Duel Robot.
"Hopefully that helps." Yukari mentioned.
Taking a card from his Extra Deck he shows the card, "I banish Guiding Companion, and Beast Tamer Stella that way, I can summon Beast Tamer - Hope!"
What appeared was a blonde haired boy his age holding the same staff while wearing a different looking attire then Stella with a freckled face while beside him is a golden furred shiba inu dog.

"They're together." Yukari smiled.
Ken smiled seeing both his Persona, and Koromaru's on the field together like there both on the field together fighting against all odds. He turned over to Koromaru with a smile to see the dog's input. Koromaru barked happily with his tail wagging.
Turning back Ken looked ready, "Alright battle! And Cerberus' ability! Evil Smile!"
The Cerberus charged a dark attack which covered the robots field, and Vorse Raider with Cainetaur both started shaking, "Now your cards are not allowed to be activated during battle!"
"That sounds useful." Aigis admitted.
"Cerberus start us off! Agidyne!"
Everyone watched surprised as Cerberus started charging fire in it's three heads.
"Hold on, isn't he in defense though?" Junpei questioned.
"Is it another ability?" Akihiko realized.
"That's right." Ken grinned to them, "Cerberus can attack while in Defense Position by using it's Defense Points to attack with!"
"That's amazing Ken-kun." Fuuka smiled.
Cerberus fired a blast destroying Caninetaur. (Duel Robot: 3100/Hand: 0)
"Now Hope your turn!"

Ken blinked taking a moment to realize what just happened as the holograms vanished before he asked slowly, "Wait a second... Did I win?"
"It would seem so." Mitsuru nodded.
Ken didn't notice something before something jumped on him making him cry out landing on his back on the ground looking to see Koromaru jumped on him before licking him which made him stutter started laughing. "Ah! K-Koro-maru! O-Okay, okay, okay, st-stop stop!" He kept laughing from Koromaru's appreciating licks.
"So that's how it works." Akihiko nodded. "I'll give it a try next."
"It sure does look like the robot's a success." the girl said after watching the duel from the window with a smile, "I might have to try it sometime myself. If you'll allow me that is, Mitsuru-sempai."
"That should be fine." Mitsuru nodded calmly.
Ken walked back holding Koromaru in his arms with a smile looking at his teammates, "Well that's how the game is played."
"It doesn't look that complicated, but we just need to do well enough to keep an eye on the Shadows right Mitsuru-sempai?" Yukari inquired.
Mitsuru nodded agreeing, "Yes. Also be careful when using your Personas in matches like these. We don't know what kinds of effects happen."
"That makes sense." Akihiko nodded.
"Alright robot's powered up for another road." the girl at the window told everyone.
Akihiko grinned taking Ken's place.
"I'm interested in a challenge." Akihiko grinned while readying a Duel Disk.
"Well the difficulty is placed at the highest like before." the girl said to him.
"Got it." Akihiko nodded.

Jericho punched Chu-Ske which didn't destroy it but pushed it back rubbing his jaw with the back of it's hand. (Duel Robot: 2500/Hand: 2)
"So it can't be destroyed huh, well I can attack with Guerrero." Akihiko mentioned.
Guerrero charged in giving a uppercut to Chu-Ske which made it land on the ground on his back. (Duel Robot: 1500/Hand: 2) Before the mouse fighter jumped back up readying his fists.

"So that's your plan, not bad." Akihiko admitted.
"Chu-Ske attacks Jericho."
Chu-Ske ran forward to Jericho who readied it's boxer hands before Chu-Ske went to punch.
"If this hits he takes 600 points of damage right?" Junpei recalled.
"Not really monsters in Defense Position can protect you from damage but your monster will be destroyed." Ken answered.
"But he used that belt right?" Yukari asked.
Chu-Ske attacked Jericho who moved giving out boxer attacks while Chu-Ske blocked or attacks before kicking Jericho at the cheek as he stepped back but wasn't destroyed.
"Huh, what happened?" Junpei asked.
Akihiko grinned at this, "This robot made a miscalculation. My Thunder Boxers can't be destroyed in battle once a turn!"
"A clever move Akihiko." Mitsuru smiled seeing that.
The Robot only said, "Monk Fighter attacks Jericho."
Master Monk charged in fighting with Jericho which the Thunder Boxer was punched down destroyed.
"Well, he avoided damage at least." Ken mentioned.
"Turn end."

"Yeah." Ken nodded.
"Then I sacrifice both my Thunder Boxers!" Akihiko called as the two were Tributed as he raised a card glowing blue.
"Polydeuces." Mitsuru whispered.
"Come Emperor Persona Polydeuces!"

Mitsuru smiled seeing that.
Following Akihiko; Yukari took her turn as her Gale Sniper cards managed to get past the robot's monsters and earn her a win, Fuuka's Sentry deck managed to give her enough information to play around the robot's cards and secure a victory, Mitsuru's Arctic Empire froze the few traps the robot tried to play and allowed her to win, Junpei's Olympus deck managed to overpower the robot with powerful monsters, and Aigis took advantage of both her A.I. Maidens to set up a strong defense before using her multiple Personas to win her own match.
"Well out of all of us I think Junpei had the most trouble." Akihiko joked to them.
"I thought I did pretty well." Junpei admitted.
"Well regardless it does show we are all prepared for Battle City." Mitsuru then cleared her throat, "I mean ALMOST all of us."
"Almost?" Yukari asked. "What are you talking about Mitsuru-sempai?"
"She meant me."
Turning over it was the girl from the window which Junpei, Ken, and Akihiko froze when they take a close look towards her as she smiled warmly towards everyone.
Ulrich362: Who could this be?
bopdog111: Sound be someone who played Persona 3 Portable should know.
Ulrich362: Interesting, it'll be interesting to see her get involved. Next up will be the beginning of Battle City right Bopdog?
bopdog111: Yup. Along with meeting the King of Games, and his group of friends. Of course where there are friends there are enemies, and we don't mean the Shadows.
Ulrich362: True, very true. See you in the next chapter. Oh, and what's the Trivia Bopdog?
bopdog111: Trivia for here is...
Trivia: bopdog discovered the Persona series from the WatchMojo video 'Top 10 Games Where You Die At The End' though he originally believed the non-canon ending was the part where you die in the end while in the canon ending you survived.
