It follows after her. The new Director.
There's nothing unusual to be seen when looking directly at her, but the eyes corners catch more than most people are prepared to admit they do. The Bureau has long history of paying pointed attention to such oversights.
Strange shadows are typical, here. The lights and walls are more than enough to ensure that. But there's a difference between strange and the glitchy, jagged thing that flickers after a pitched firefight settles into silence.
And she talks to it - or it to her. Never anything anyone can hear - and when she does, her eyes are ancient things, implacable and eerie. Beyond the paygrade of anyone but a Sector Head, and the oversight of anything but the Board.
