I do not own Glee or any of the characters created by Ryan Murphy. If I did we would see way more of Shelby. This story will contain spanking of a teenager. If that's not your thing stop reading now and go read something else.

Smelling bacon, Shelby slowly opened her eyes and smiled. Her father must be cooking breakfast. Noticing that Rachel's bed was already empty Shelby slid from it and headed to her bathroom. Finishing her morning routine she then headed downstairs.
"Really you had to make bacon, Sabe?" Rachel's voice came from the kitchen.
"It's your mother's favorite."
"Bubbe help me out here. Pigs aren't something that should be used for food."
"Sorry kiddo, I'm with your mother on this one."
"But you're Jewish. I didn't think Jews ate pork." Shelby waited to hear her mother's response to the statement.
"A lot of Jews don't eat pork, Rachel," Emily conceded. "However we don't keep kosher and do eat pork."
Entering the kitchen as she heard Rachel begin to protest, Shelby pulled her daughter into a hug. "I am sure that Daddy made something you can eat that isn't bacon, Rachel."
"I did," Theo smiled at his granddaughter. "In fact if you sit down I will plate everything and get it on the table. Shelby you're just in time."
"Wonderful," Shelby helped herself to a cup of coffee before sitting at the table next to Rachel. "Daddy, this looks so good."
Helping herself to some bacon and pancakes, Shelby nudged Rachel with her elbow. "Come on, Rachel. There is nothing in pancakes that prevents you from eating them."
"I know," Rachel grinned. "I just wondered how many of them you were going to take and if we were going to have to fight you for them."
"Hush you." Shelby shook her head as Rachel and her parents finally dug into their breakfast.
"These pancakes are wonderful, Sabe." Rachel's mouth was full of pancakes and Shelby merely nodded. "Does Bubbe ever cook breakfast?"
"Not if she can help it," Shelby quipped only to yelp when her mother swatted her on the thigh.
"Watch it, Shelby. I am still your mother."
Giggling at the exchange, Rachel wisely put another bite into her mouth when her mother looked at her with raised eyebrow. "So what are we going to do today?" Rachel asked after swallowing.
"Your Sabe and I will be heading back to Columbus after we finish eating, Rachel." Emily placed her hand on Rachel's at the look she was given. "I promise you that your mother is not going to kill you today."
"Are you sure about that?" Shelby deadpanned only to yelp as her mother's hand made contact with her thigh yet again.
"Shelby," the tone sent shivers down Shelby's spine and she wisely turned to her daughter.
"I am not going to kill you, Rachel. Granted we have a lot to talk about but your death is not among those things."
"I'd still like witnesses," Rachel mumbled.
Pinching the bridge of her nose Shelby shook her head. "Get the table cleared off, Rachel, and put the dishes in the dishwasher. I'm going to talk to your grandparents and then I'll be in to check on you."
"But Mama…"
"Now Rachel." Shelby ignored the smirks from her parents and followed them into the living room.
Feeling herself being pulled onto the couch between her parents Shelby let her head fall on her father's shoulder. "How did you survive my teen years?"
"With prayer and strong drink," Theo teased.
"And chocolate. Don't forget the chocolate, Theo," Emily added.
"Mom!" Shelby's hazel eyes caught her mother's and she finally grinned. "Well I guess you're right about the chocolate."
"Have I said how sorry I am for my teenage years?" Shelby asked.
"You have," Emily giggled. "And we appreciate the thoughts, sweetie. Just remember that Rachel will one day have a teenage daughter just like her."
Shelby smiled at that thought and then sighed, "I never even managed to do what Rachel did last night. Granted I thought about it, but I never could figure out how to pull it off."
"We were never dumb enough to give you an empty credit card," Theo deadpanned.
"What I wouldn't have given for an empty credit card at fourteen," Shelby quipped only to yip as her mother's hand met her thigh once more. "Do I have a swat me sign on my back or something?"
"Nope. But I know that look in your eye," Emily teased. "Nothing good ever came from allowing Shelby Lorraine Corcoran to think that look could go unchallenged."
"Mom," Shelby whined as her father kissed her temple.
"So, baby girl, what are you going to do with your little runaway?" he asked.
"I'm not sure. LeRoy and Hiram took her phone away for the week and grounded her for two. They also had me take the credit card for safe keeping."
"You know what you need to do, Shelby." Theo's voice was soft and Shelby nodded.
"I know, Daddy. That doesn't mean I have to like it."
"We never did," Emily quipped as her daughter turned to look at her.
"Really?"
"Really. Do you really think we enjoyed spanking you, Shelby?" Emily asked.
Shelby shrugged, "Well, sometimes I wasn't sure," she answered honestly. "After the whole driving your car into the house thing…"
Emily laughed and pulled Shelby away from her father's side and into a hug. "Even then, we did not enjoy it, but you deserved it."
"Oh did you deserve it," Theo agreed.
"At least she's not driving yet," Shelby quipped.
"Give her a few years," Theo teased.
"Thanks Daddy."
"Mama are you going to help me?" A whiney yell came from the kitchen and Shelby groaned.
"She's in trouble and yet…"
"She's your daughter, Shelby," Emily confirmed. "Remember when you were about fourteen and we gave you extra chores for some reason or another? You got tired of doing them alone and had the nerve to ask us to help."
Shelby groaned loudly, "Again, I am so sorry for my teenage years."
"That's okay dear," Emily chuckled. "We just enjoy knowing that you're getting a taste of it now."
Sighing heavily as another yell came from the kitchen Shelby finally left the comfort of the couch. "If you'll excuse me I think I need to go have a chat with Rachel about the difference in checking on her chore and helping her with it."
Scooting to sit next to her husband Emily chuckled again, "Do you think we need to stay?"
Theo shook his head, "No, they'll be fine. Besides Shelby may not want witnesses," he teased.
***GLEE****GLEE****GLEE***GLEE***GLEE***GLEE***GLEE***
Rachel couldn't believe that her grandparents left her alone with her mother. Didn't they understand her need to have witnesses? I mean she didn't have just any mother, she had Shelby Corcoran for a mother. Shelby Corcoran, surely her grandparents just didn't understand the magnitude of having her as a mother and being in her sights for doing something really stupid.
Rachel was currently sitting on her bed waiting for her mother to join her. She was hugging her rabbit tightly and could only hope that her death would be quick and painless. Then again her mother was the woman who made her own glee club do an entire routine while walking on their hands or wearing metal underwear. Fast and painless might not be in her vocabulary.
Hearing the brief knock and seeing the doorknob move Rachel scooted against her headboard and tucked her legs up trying to make herself as small as possible. Her mother finally entered and Rachel looked for obvious signs of what she would do to her, but wasn't able to see anything out of the ordinary. Her mom was wearing a pair of yoga pants and an NYU Tisch t-Shirt and actually looked rather calm. Rachel knew though, that looks could be deceiving. After all, she was the queen of the show face herself and she wasn't about to underestimate her mom's own show face capabilities.
Shelby was silent and Rachel became more nervous. Damn her mom was really good. She wasn't giving anything away and Rachel once more hoped for a quick and painless death.
"We need to talk, Rachel." Shelby's voice was quiet and Rachel merely nodded.
Sitting on the bed Shelby moved until she was facing her daughter with her legs crossed in front of her. "I am going to talk and you are going to listen. Then we are going to talk. After that you will learn what your punishments will be for the stunt that you and your friends pulled. You may ask questions when I am finished talking. Do you understand?"
"Yes Mama," Rachel gulped.
Shelby bit the inside of her cheek lightly to stop her smile. She could tell that Rachel was petrified right now and though she had no intention of actually killing her daughter it wouldn't hurt if Rachel thought that was an actual possibility.
Taking a breath, Shelby raised her eyebrow and caught Rachel's eye. "Alright young lady let's start with the facts. First, you lied to me about where you were going to be, you used your fathers' credit card to buy Lady Gaga tickets, finance a limo, and a hotel suite in one of the most expensive hotels in Columbus. Pretty impressive actually.
"But you didn't just lie to me, Rachel. You lied to Kurt's father, Santana's parents, and Mercedes parents. It seems that you all knew what you were doing and decided to use each other as your alibis with the intent of returning to Lima on Saturday with none of us the wiser."
Rachel looked down at her rabbit's ears and took a deep breath. Hearing it laid out like that sounded so much worse than what she felt she had actually done. Opening her mouth to defend herself she quickly closed it when her mother's eyebrow raised yet again.
"I am not done yet, Rachel," Shelby's firm voice spoke once more. "Now, let's talk about what could have happened during your road trip. What would you have done if the limo would have broken down or if the hotel wanted to see an adult before allowing you into the room? Better still, what if one of you had gotten hurt or sick? What if someone had tried to take advantage of you in some way? What would you have done then? And let's not forget the concert. I am not stupid, Rachel. You are damn lucky that your grandparents didn't smell drugs or alcohol on any of you. Because that is a one way ticket to never seeing sunlight again on a very sore bottom."
Rachel shifted and remained quiet while her mother took a few breaths. "I want to know why you and your friends decided to do this, Rachel."
Rachel was silent and Shelby cleared her throat. "I am waiting for an answer, Rachel."
"Oh, is this the part where I'm allowed to talk?" Rachel's question made Shelby's eyebrow rise again and Rachel gasped. "I'm sorry, Mama. I didn't mean it like that. I was just making sure you wanted me to talk."
"Good save," Shelby deadpanned. "Tell me why, young lady."
"I really wanted to see Lady Gaga," Rachel spoke quietly. "I figured if I went with my friends it would be safe enough and there wasn't anything to worry about."
"I understand that you wanted to go to the concert but you can't always have what you want, young lady. I told you no, and you never should have gone to the concert in the first place."
"I know, but I figured you wouldn't find out," Rachel admitted. "I also figured my dads would be too busy to even notice that I'd used their credit card."
"So that makes it okay?"
Silence met the question and Shelby put her hand under Rachel's chin making the girl look at her. "I asked you a question, Rachel Barbra and I expect an answer. Just because you thought your dads wouldn't notice does that make what you did alright?"
"No?"
"Do you want to try that again?"
Rachel gulped, "No Mama, it's wasn't right to do that."
"Is there anything else you'd like to tell me, Rachel? Anything that I should know, this is your only chance because if I already know something and you choose not to tell me then I consider that lying."
Rachel was quiet for a long minute lost in thought. "I'm sorry I worried you, Mama. I shouldn't have gone to the concert or used my dads' credit cards. I just wanted to go so badly and I really didn't think anyone would notice…"
"What else?"
"I didn't think my dads would even care. I figured they wouldn't find out until the credit card bill came and might not even ask me about it."
"And me?" Shelby asked quietly.
"I was hoping that you wouldn't find out. I don't have a death wish after all. I have far too much potential for stardom to want to die an early death."
"Then it's a good thing I don't plan on killing you," Shelby stated. "However you are in for some major punishments, Rachel."
"Punishments?"
Shelby nodded, "Your dads have grounded you and I am going to enforce that grounding. I will also keep the credit card until it's decided that you are responsible enough to have it back. You broke our trust, sweetie, and that is going to take a while to earn back.
"You and your Columbus road trip friends have also been signed up for the Shelby Corcoran extra glee club practice every Saturday for a month. I can guarantee that you will learn loads and some of it may even help you in glee. You have also earned a spanking, Rachel."
Rachel's head popped up and she looked at her mother with panic in her eyes. "What do you mean by the Shelby Corcoran glee club?"
Rolling her eyes at her daughter Shelby held her chuckle, "I mean that you are going to be introduced to my way of learning what it means to be a winning member of a glee club."
"Will we have to worry about anything chafing?" Rachel asked in all seriousness.
"No, there will be no metal underwear."
"Thank you," Rachel relaxed a bit and then panicked again. "I'm not good at acrobatics either. I mean Santana is a Cheerio but I don't know if we could do …."
"Rachel, calm down." Shelby shook her head. "There will not be hard acrobatics to learn, but there will be hard work."
"Okay Mama," Rachel managed to calm herself a bit when the rest of her mother's words finally hit home. "I'm getting spanked too?"
"Did you really think that there would be no spanking for this stunt, young lady?"
"I could hope," Rachel whispered.
"You could," Shelby agreed. "But you are getting spanked."
"When?"
"Nothing wrong with the present," Shelby uncrossed her legs and moved to the edge of the bed. "Come over here and stand in front of me, sweetie."
"Already?" Rachel squeaked.
"Yes." Shelby's voice was quiet but firm. She wanted this spanking over so she and Rachel could move on from it. "Come on. Let's go."
Sniffing Rachel put her rabbit on her pillows and slid as slowly as she could from the bed finally ending up in front of her mother. "Why are you here, Rachel?"
"Because I disobeyed you, snuck to Columbus, went to a Lady Gaga concert, and used my dads' credit card without permission to pay for everything."
"Good girl," Shelby held Rachel's hands in her own for a few minutes. "Go get the hairbrush from the dresser, Rachel."
"No Mama, please. I don't need the hairbrush, I promise I'll never do something like this again," Rachel begged.
"Now." The one word command was followed slowly and Shelby watched as Rachel dragged her feet to the dresser finally returning with the hairbrush. Holding out her hand Shelby took the brush from her daughter and laid it on the bed next to her. "It's time."
Placing Rachel on her left Shelby pulled the girl over her lap and managed to get Rachel situated without much difficulty. Resting her left hand on Rachel's bottom Shelby took a breath before lowering Rachel's sweat pants and beginning to impress upon her daughter just how wrong she had been that weekend.
Stopping the spanking for a moment Shelby removed Rachel's panties exposing her now pink bottom to the world. Picking up the hairbrush Shelby laid it on Rachel's backside as she spoke, "You're almost done, Rachel. It's time for me to remind you that I am your mama and you do as I say not what you feel like doing. I never want you to do something like this again."
Stopping her lecture Shelby raised her hand and brought the brush down with quick, crisp swats. Rachel's bottom was turned red rather quickly and Shelby stopped after two dozen swats. Putting the brush down Shelby allowed Rachel her tears before righting Rachel's panties and then helping Rachel sit up on her lap. "It's over, sweetie," she crooned rocking her daughter back and forth as she finished her tears.
