I do not own Glee or any of the characters created by Ryan Murphy. If I did, we would see way more of Shelby. This story will contain spanking of a teenager. If that's not your thing stop reading now and go read something else.

Chapter 41

"Do you ever think we will see the light of day again?" Santana whispered to Rachel as they hurried to keep up with the women in front of them.

"Doubtful." Rachel replied as they were once more issued into Sue's office.

"Sit." Sue commanded only to find herself sighing as the men in dark suits also followed the girls into the room. "What are you doing here?" She demanded.

"I wanted to leave," agent Tennent admitted, "but Black here wouldn't listen and company policy won't allow us to be alone on a job. Otherwise I'd be enjoying a burger at that famous joint downtown before hopping the next flight back home."

"I see." Sue nodded at the man and then looked at Shelby. "He gets a pass. Forrest does not."

"Understood." Rounding on the men Shelby pointed to a chair towards the back of the office and motioned agent Tenett to head that way and make himself comfortable. After the man did so she turned her focus on the girls in front of her seemingly forgetting about agent Black, much to his annoyance.

Directing the girls to sit in the chairs in front of Sue's desk, Shelby sat on the desk as Sue came to stand next to her, leaning on the desk while she watched the girls. "Explain. Now."

"Explain what?" Rachel asked.

"Do not play dumb with me, Rachel Barbra Corcoran!" Shelby's voice was a low growl. I want to know how you and Santana managed to not only get around the ban I put on your cell phone, but also how you managed to make a call from Schuester's office."

"With all due respect, Coach C.," Santana began.

"And if you say, it was Snixx, and not you, Santana Lopez, you are going to find yourself on the receiving end of my left hand. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, Ma'am." Santana all but whispered as Rachel rolled her eyes wondering how Snixx managed to roll over so easily for her mother.

"Shelby," Sue interrupted. "If I may," taking charge of the situation she tapped the bobble head to her right and shook her head as the code to her personal security number became visible. "Look familiar girls?"

Looking at each other the guilty parties nodded and then started when Sue stalked over and grabbed the notebook from agent Black's hands. "What do you think you're doing, Black?" Slapping him upside the head with the now closed book she broke his pen by dropping it to the floor and stepping on it. "Who gave you permission to record any events in this room? Did you not read your information and briefing files on myself and Shelby Corcoran?"

"Of course, I did." The agent rubbed the back of his head where Sue had hit him with the notebook. "I just didn't think that this was a situation where I could ignore putting down some of the facts and turning it in since I'm here and all."

Stepping closer, Sue managed to take away any personal space the man had left. "Listen to me very carefully, agent Black. If you want to remain an agent, then you will not record anything that goes on in this room. Nothing. In fact, it would be in your best interest to take your ass and leave. However, since you don't seem to have the sense that a goose does, and insist on sticking around, then you need to just do no harm by standing there like a statue and let your brain absorb the greatness that is Sue Sylvester and Shelby Corcoran. Perhaps then, you will understand. Now, shut up and don't move."

Hearing a snicker from the back of the room, Sue winked at agent Tennent and then turned her attention back to the girls in front of her girlfriend. Knowing that Shelby needed her support and knowing that the knowledge they gained from her put them in this position, Sue sighed and moved back to stand next to Shelby hoping that nobody would need to die today.

Sue and Shelby stared at Rachel and Santana for a long minute before simply relaxing in front of them. They had started a conversation on what type of flowers they wanted at their memorial service and though Rachel was thinking white calla lilies; Santana was more along the lines of black dahlias.

Nudging Shelby with her shoulder, Sue smirked and leaned against the desk once more. "Okay, ladies, listen up. I am saying this once and once only. We already know how you got the security codes and managed to figure out the B & E part of the crime. What we can't figure out is how you managed to circumvent the whole, we can't call out of the country blockade I had going, even with my security code you shouldn't have been able to do it."

Gulping, Rachel and Santana looked at each other and then down into their laps avoiding the women in front of them especially their eyes as much as possible. "I'm waiting." Sue's voice came again, and Santana briefly looked up at the women and tapped Rachel on the leg.

"Don't make eye contact, Santana." Rachel hissed.

"Oh no, Santana, please make eye contact." Shelby said happily. "In fact, please tell us how you two managed to do this huge thing that seemingly has Sue Sylvester perplexed."

"Rachel, we have to tell them." Santana's voice came once more, and Rachel sighed deeply.

"So much for Snixx being a badass," Rachel muttered looking up in defeat. "A toddler could take Snixx down right now, Santana and then knock you out for good measure."

Narrowing her eyes at Rachel Santana stood up and pointed to the women in front of her. "Would you look at them, Rachel? Just look at them. I mean I can take punishment from Coach with the best of them, but when they both get that look…." She trailed off and looked at her friend, jumping when she heard Rachel's phone begin to play.

"Miami Sound Machine Rachel?" Santana's usually brown complexion paled as the door was thrown open and agent Black was pushed out of the way. Santana turning to find her petite mother now glaring at her.

"Mami?"

"Don't you, Mami me Santana Lopez." Maribel's voice was deadly. "I hear my phone; I see it's Shelby and I answer it expecting a nice call about the weekend you girls have planned and what do I get? A call about how you and Rachel not only broke into this office but managed to get around a federal security block to call out of country on Will Shuester's phone. A call that shouldn't have happened! So, unless you want all of your friends to know exactly how you're going to be punished at Casa Lopez tonight you will start talking right now, young lady."

"And you wondered why a toddler could take Snixx?" Santana rounded on Rachel."

Shaking her head, Rachel crossed her arms in front of her. "It's going to take more than that to get me to reveal my secrets."

"The child has a death wish," agent Tennett muttered from the back of the room. "Even I'm ready to tell them how it was done, and I don't have a clue what they're even talking about." He muttered to himself.

Slipping from the desk, Shelby smiled and looked at her daughter before shaking her head. "Stand up, Rachel."

"I'm fine sitting."

"Now." Shelby's voice had changed octave but not tone.

Huffing, Rachel stood, and Shelby nodded to Sue and then to Rachel and then to the desk. Smirking, Sue picked up the petite brunette and placed her on the desk where Shelby immediately took up any personal space Rachel felt she may have, need, or want. "Drop the attitude now, Rachel Barbra," Shelby warned. "You get one shot at this before I pull out the big guns and you get more than you ever bargained for where it comes to your mother and the mother fucker of punishments. And I do mean the mother fucker of all punishments. Because I swear to all that is Barbra if we have to ask you one more time how you did this you will not only not be sitting for the foreseeable future you will not be using that wonderful voice of yours for anything other than to be singing the blues while you are grounded through your golden years. Have I made myself clear?"

Standing up Shelby backed up and heard a muttered yes from Santana as well as agent Tennett. Suppressing her smile Shelby looked at Sue and saw the woman's smile mirror her own. "Very well done, my friend." Maribel bowed to the taller woman.

Nodding in acknowledgement Shelby looked at her daughter, now even considerably paler than usual. "Alright, no need to get so violent." Rachel finally spoke. "It wasn't so hard once we had Coach's code. We knew all the phone lines in the building would be blocked, even the land lines. Especially the one in Schuester's office. What we figured is that you wouldn't count on one of us calling the phone company and telling them that we were Principal Figgins and that the phone in Schuester's office took a dive and we needed the line replaced on the pole with a new one. And because it was a school, they did it with no questions asked and as quickly as possible. They even gave us a new number and extension. After that it was easy to use your code to circumvent the feds covering the no international call block. All we had to do was pull the 'How dare you question the Sue Sylvester' card and they all backed off."

"Yeah," Santana agreed. "Nobody but agent Black here is dumb enough to question you Coach."

"What do you mean, I'm dumb?" Agent Black asked.

"Well…." Santana looked at the man. "I mean you're here, in this room, being a witness to what might be the murder of Rachel and me and you're wondering about your intelligence." Turning to the back of the room she looked at the other agent. "How did you get stuck with him? Did you get the short straw or were you late that day or what?"

Rachel nodded, "Yeah, who did you piss off to be dealing with that on a daily basis?"

Hearing Sue snort Rachel held in her smile when her mother rounded on her. "Not another word, Rachel. We are going home now and when we get there, I want you to go straight to your room. Collect anything that you think might bring you joy and then bring it straight back to me."

"The same goes for you, Santana." Maribel instructed as she pulled Santana from her seat leading the young woman in front of her with a swat to her behind. "Move it."

"It's been nice knowing you, Rachel." Santana murmured.

"Yes, it has." Rachel agreed watching as the young Latina slowly made her way from the room and towards her fate with her mother.

Pulling herself to her full height, Sue motioned for agent Tennett to join her in the front of the room. "Go downtown, tell them I sent you at that lovely little burger joint, and enjoy their finest on me. I guarantee that you will love it. Then, hop on the next plane home and forget everything you saw and heard here."

The agent nodded and then pointed to his partner. "And him?"

Sue grinned. "You won't have to worry about him much longer. After all, there is more than one way to get a new traveling companion, for lack of better word."

Agent Tennett let out a low whistle, "Thanks for that Coach Sylvester. I'm still not sure who I ticked off enough to get stuck with Black."

"What do you mean, stuck with me?" the younger man looked at the older agent glared. "What is wrong with being my partner?"

"Let me ask you, Black, what are you planning to tell our bosses about today?"

"The truth." The man answered. "Exactly what I saw, observed, and heard." He looked at Tennett then and back to the two coaches and Rachel. "Why, what are you telling them?"

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing. As far as I know, I came to this school, I saw Sue Sylvester was handling it, I went out for a famous burger and I flew back home. Any questions they have they can address to her."

"But that's lying."

"That's self-preservation," Rachel quipped. "Something you are sorely lacking. Even more than myself." Looking around her mother she looked once more at agent Tennett. "Seriously, what in the hell did you do to get stuck with him as a partner?"

"I wish I knew…" Agent Tennett shook his head as Sue shook hers and then moved towards agent Black shooing everyone else out of the room.

Entering the hallway a few moments later Sue took Shelby's hand as they led a very reluctant Rachel towards home. Turning to his partner, agent Black gulped and quietly spoke. "I'd like to go get that burger now. I hear they're quite good."

"Nothing else?"

"Nope. Nothing happened here today. Coach Sylvester handled everything, and her report will be on the desk of whomever needs to know whenever it gets there. Now, let's get going."

"Gladly." Thanking his lucky stars for whatever had transpired in the Coach's office, agent Tennett led his now subdued partner out of the building toward their waiting car so they could go and try one of the best burgers Lima had to offer.

The Historic burger place I'm referring to is called Kewpies and is a pre-curser to 'Wendy's' and, yes, it's amazing.
