Author's Note: Hey, guys and girls. It's been a while, life has been busy, but here I am with a new chapter. The original length of this chapter was nearly 11,000 words, which is probably why it took so long it make. Given that, I've broken it up into two chapters of equal size, and am posting them both at the same time. But before we get into that, let's answer some of these comments!
'Actually, there wasn't a shipping war between Ted X Sucy and Ted X Diana. That was all one reviewer, though I should have brought that up sooner.'
Thanks for correcting a joke I made like 5 years ago lol, good to see people are still reading those early chapters.
The three problem students leaving the Luna Nova building was no hard matter. Amanda, well known for her sticky fingers and sly ways, easily bypassed the many spirits and phantoms. They were all cardboard cut outs anyway, exactly like the other in their incompetence. Once the three were able to secure a broom, and fly off in Anchovy's direction, they were completely safe. It seemed as though those creatures can't travel by air, and even if they could, they couldn't hope to compete with the flying skills of Amanda O'Neil.
Up in the clouds, the roar of spells are still quite apparent, a battle is indeed talking place right below them. While the witches are fighting inside the school, Anchovy and her club are fighting outside. High school girls, driving tanks, fighting ghosts, next to a school of magic; this really isn't something anyone could have predicted.
Even though her friends, Jasminka and Constanze, are right besides her, it was extremely difficult to hear them, especially considering Constanze is a mute and Jasminka is otherwise soft spoken.
But even with the roar of battle below them, and the current of the wind in front of them, it is very easy to hear Anchovy.
"Set your eyes on me, Luna Nova!" She cries from the top of her tank, her comrades piloting and shooting. "I, your illustrious Duce, have returned not as your partier but as your savior! I will avenge the Vittoria Mutilate!"
Smirking at what she saw below, Amanda can feel her heart beating with excitement. Besides that little exam they took in The Forest of Arcturus, life at Luna Nova had been pretty boring as of recent, the last exciting thing being the battle with the titan at The Witch Parade, but even that seems like so long ago.
Things are getting dangerous, getting fun, and Amanda wishes to enjoy every last moment of it.
With this fighting spirit still in her heart, Amanda and her friends touch down on the ground. Scanning around this way and that, the red head sees no more enemies, only the smell of smoke in the air, the grass ripped up from tank tracks and cannon fire. Although a battle was raging only a short few seconds ago, the scene is now still.
"Hello there and greetings, friends!" Anchovy beams at them from her tank, sweat dripping from her smiling face. "Have you come to watch our grand battle plan in effect?"
"Nah, I'm here to help!" Amanda declares with a smirk, pounding her fists together. "No reason why all of you get to have all the fun!"
"And I've brought you all candy!" Jasminka beams, eagerly laying out her bags of candy, chips, and other forms of junk food on the tank.
Contanze adds to this conversation with a simple nod, affirming that she is here to help as well.
"Ah yes…" The duce smiles at their offering, her fist clenched in determination. "A sugar rush may just push us past our limits and reach new realms of possibilities!"
Amanda finds no difficulty in matching Anchovy's energy, making her own fist and cocky smirk.
"Ha! Then what are we waiting for?! Let's go kick some ghost butt!"
Upon Amanda's utterance, Anchovy's confident expression falters, her once wicked smirk uncharacteristically faltering into a droopy frown.
"Well I would, but it seems as though we've pushed a bridge too far, so to speak." She turns towards the back of her tank, a fair amount of damage visible. "One of those ghouls got a good hit on my engine, and now it's stalled."
Folding her arms and leaning back, Anchovy dully follows up with
"We're waiting on the maintenance team right now, we're stranded until they arrive."
Although the little dictator sits sullen, Constanze absolutely beams at the prospect of a damaged piece of machinery, or at least beaming as much as Constanze is able to.
To almost everyone else in the world, there is no visible change in Constanze's expression, nothing to signify any desire or excitement. But to people like Amanda, she can read her friend like an open book.
For as long as the American rebel has known her, Constanze really hasn't uttered a single word, nothing more than an occasional grunt or groan. It was off putting to Amanda at first, but long since has simply become part and parcel of one of her close friends. Amanda would have to speak on behalf of her silent silly little short fellow.
Winking at Anchovy with a smile, the red head points a thumb at her two associates, her other hand on her hip.
"Well, what if I told you we got a big brained, hardworking, robo lady who makes up with knowledge in robotics for what she lacks in height?"
Craning her head towards Jasminka, Anchovy raises a brow.
"You can build robots?"
"No, not her!" Amanda roughly shoots a finger in the German's direction. "Her!"
"Ah, Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank Albrechtsberger!" Anchovy pronounces the long name without losing a hint of stride. "Yes, you will make a fine addition to my legions! Please, come and work your magic!"
Emphasizing this invitation, Anchovy pats the metal tank, the knocking catching Constanze's full and undivided attention.
Similar to a small child at an amusement park, Constanze's eyes and mouth widen somewhat, her expression transforming into excitement, or at least as much as it can for someone who refuses to smile.
Immediately getting to work, she opens up the panel, using tweezers, blowtorches, wires, and a whole plethora of other equipment, Constanze truly is in her element.
As the sounds of her mechanical work overtake any conversation, Amanda leans with her back against the tank, pulling out one of her Kool cigarettes, igniting it, and taking a puff.
"Hey, put that away!" Anchovy jabs a finger at the paper cylinder. "One misplaced ember and we'll be reenacting The Great Fire of Rome!"
Amanda's bewilderment is met by a scowl from both Anchovy and Constanze, the silly little short fellow sharing the Italian's conviction.
Although Amanda really can't care less what Anchovy thinks, the glare that Constanze is giving her is fairly unsettling.
"Fine…fine…" Amanda mumbles, dropping the cigarette and grinding it with her heel. "You two are such squares…"
"I'm not a square, I'm Anchovy!" The duce fires off.
Before Amanda can utter another word, Anchovy grabs the tank's radio, pushing a few buttons before putting the phone next to her ear.
"Alright, how is Operation Macaroni coming along?"
Another female voice comes from the speaker, a student of Anzio High.
"Sorry, we're currently busy." A rushed voice responds. "Can we talk about this later?"
"What's happening?" Anchovy pushes her friend, her brows narrowing into a more serious posture.
"We're currently engaged with a group of those monsters, I'm not really sure how they found us."
Letting out an irritated grunt, Anchovy asks
"You did set the tank decoys on the ley lines, right?"
"Yes, of course!" The voice cheerfully responds. "Every single one of them!"
The Duce's annoyed expression quickly breaks with her short temper.
"What?! Putting out all eleven is too many! Of course they're going to catch on!"
Despite the clear frustration in her words, her friend responds with as much friendliness and cheer as before.
"Oh yeah, right! You're such a smarty!"
These girls must really love Anchovy.
"No, you're just an idiot!" She yells before twisting to the witches. "We need to get ready, the enemy is almost here! Are you done with the repairs, Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank Albrechtsberger?"
The German holds up a thumbs up, her hands covered in grease and oil.
"You know, you don't have to keep calling her by her full name, right?" Amanda grimaces. "It's just a mouthful."
"Don't boss me around! Who do you think you are?!" Anchovy snaps, clearly not liking to be commanded. "If I don't call her by her full name then how will she know that I'm talking to her?!"
"Well, it's not like there are many Constanzes around here…" Amanda grunts in a hushed mutter, not caring much for Anchovy's tone.
The two stare silent daggers at one another, causing Jasminka to get between the two.
"No fighting." The foodie states with as much command as a gentle girl like her can muster.
It's not much, but nevertheless it ends their feud, not that really was much energy behind it to begin with. Just a friendly quarrel, not unlike what Amanda and Akko would sometimes have, quick to anger but quick to forget.
A sudden noise in the distance causes the young girls to turn.
The ghostly forces that Anchovy had once repelled are now reformed, strong, and ready for round two. Charging at them, the girls really can't dwell on much else now.
Turning back towards Amanda, Anchovy flashes a wink towards her with a smirk.
"Well, Ms. O'Neil, it appears the battle has resumed!"
Both of the girls raise a fist in the air in solidarity, and declare with wide and wild smirks
"Time for some fun!"
A pounding pain is all they feel, a painful sting deep in the brain. First there was pain, and then blackness, and now?
"Uhhh…" Lotte leans upright, rubbing her injury. "My head…"
Akko quickly follows suit, groaning in pain.
"Amanda really gave us a good whack, didn't she?"
Although Akko knew very well that it was going to be painful, she had no idea the wallop Amanda had in store for all of them.
Weren't they friends? Couldn't she have gone just a little bit easier on them?
"Yes." Diana confirms, also easing her pain. "If I didn't know better, I would assume she enjoyed that."
Diana couldn't help but feel as though Amanda liked whacking her the most.
"Never mind that!" Akko declares, shaking her head as if that would ease her pain, jumping up to her feet. "We made it!"
As the other two stand to their feet and their vision slowly becomes normal, the surrounding area comes into their view.
The three witches are inside of a city, surrounded by buildings, tall and small, of all different shapes and sizes. Likewise, brass and bronze constructions ornately decorate the outside, the sun's light reflecting off the polished metal, creating a notable shine on the buildings. At their feet, spanning off in many directions are cobblestone and dirt roads, Akko recognizing them as something from a long time ago, perhaps she saw them in a history book once upon a time. Carriages, wagons, and foot traffic congest the streets and sidewalks.
"Wow, it looks much more different than Sucy's…"
"That would make sense." Diana nods at Akko's statement. "I recognize most of these buildings and architect. We're in Rome, or at least Theodore's version of Rome."
"I think it looks charming. I've always wanted to go to Rome." Lotte beams, always trying to find the bright side in everything.
"Oooh, Rome?" Akko beams with wonder, her head twisting this way and that as she admires the scenery. "Isn't that the city of lights?"
"That's Paris, Akko." Diana corrects the witch in a matter of fact way.
Always quick to a retort, Akko fires off at the blonde, as if insulted by this correction.
"Oh yeah? Then why are there lights?!"
Diana sighs to herself, pinching the brim of her nose. Hands on her hips, the blond turns towards Akko, prepared to give her a full analytical speech, complete with cited sources, on why and how Paris became known as that.
However, whatever audible essay Diana was prepared to give is completely ignored, Akko's eyes wandering the streets and roads until she sees…
"Hey, Ted, we found you!" Akko cries out, running towards the figure.
Immediately lunging at his general direction, Akko wraps her arms around him in a pretty rough hug, obviously catching him by surprise.
"What?!" He cries out in surprise, the voice sounding just like Theodore's.
"That was fast." Lotte comments, herself and Diana walking up to Akko and Theodore.
Physically ripping himself free from Akko's embrace, Theodore's expression of violent surprise melts into mere annoyance as he recognizes the three.
"Oh, it's you…" He mumbles, not sounding very happy to see them.
"What do you mean 'Oh, it's you'?" Akko replies, offended by his reaction. "Aren't you happy to see us?!"
Diana's brows widen by Theodore's behavior. It wasn't hard to see why he was acting so cold. Being assaulted by a Roman god in the body of Barbara, and then slowly losing consciousness until your transferred into your own mind would be a difficult thing for anyone to process. Poor soul, he must be confused.
"Theodore, we've come to save you." Diana clarifies, flashing him a warm smile.
Surely Diana's pleasant expression would be enough for him to come to his senses. Theodore always fell victim to it without fail. All it took was one smile, one wink, one kiss, even on the cheek, and the effects were quite immediate. It was more potent than any potion that he had drunk before, and completely eclipsed The Cupid Bee.
"Save me from what?" He questions, looking absolutely confused.
"Save you from your mind!" Akko answers. "Come on, Ted! You're trapped! Let's get back to Luna Nova!"
Once again, Theodore looks absolutely confused.
While Akko is attempting to explain herself, Diana narrows her eyes, attempting to understand Theodore's unusual response.
She recalled hearing Akko speak of encountering many different Sucys of all different sorts of personalities. With this Theodore behaving as such, Diana can only assume…
"Girls, I don't think this is the Theodore we're looking for." Diana expresses her thoughts vocally with a sigh.
Theodore raises a brow at her words.
"The one you're looking for? Oh, you must mean the Original Theodore."
Lotte nods at this.
"Yes, and you're not him?"
His neutral expression falters for a moment, a scowl appearing on his face only momentarily.
"I almost became the original…"
A short silence falls over the four, an awkward presence in the air set by his words.
Diana and Lotte exchange a glance, seeking rapport in one another as they attempt to work out the hidden meaning behind his words, and the miniscule amount of malice behind it.
However, the brief malice in his voice was unheard by Akko, herself far more tone-deaf than her fellow witches.
"Sooooo, if you're not the Original Ted, do you know where we can find him?"
Akko emphasizes this question, pulling off the cutest face she can muster, eyes wide and sparkling with joyful anticipation.
Not being affected by such a display, Theodore sticks out his tongue, as if disgusted.
"I have an idea of where he is. He's probably where all the other rejected Theodores go. Good thing too, he might be the original, but he really has changed for the worst."
"Hey, Ted is a good guy!" She proclaims defensively. "He might be a little rough around the edges at times, but we are all!"
"That's the issue, Akko." Theodore fires back passive aggressively. "He used to be rougher around the edges, but they've become blunt over time."
"Yeah, he blunted his bluntness! Isn't that a good thing?!"
"No, it's not. He pushed me aside. I was a part of him for most of his life. It was only after he started hanging out with you lot that he started to get soft, friendship and all that gross stuff. He would've been far better off without any of you."
Diana's expression tenses into controlled anger, clearly hurt by his previous statement.
"Well, I can certainly see why Theodore would." Diana states with her arms crossed in a matter of fact manner. "You may look like him, but your manners are very ill fitting of Theodore."
Not backing down from this jab, Theodore twists towards her, another scowl on his face.
"Have an issue with this side of me, Cavendish?"
Not one to back down either, Diana takes a step forward, glaring at him with a look that could kill several times over.
The two look like they're about to fight.
"Hey, hey…" Lotte comes between the two, her hands up as she sheepishly smiles. "Come on you two, we can get along."
Even if he isn't the original Theodore, he still looks and sounds much like the person that Lotte cares for. The Finn finds it hard to be hold any cold feelings towards him despite his bad attitude.
Instead of lashing out at her as would be expected, Theodore simply raises a brow, speaking to Lotte in a calm tone without edge or aggression.
"If you three have come here just to make a scene, I'll have no part in it. I was having a good day until just now."
"We're not." Lotte shakes her head without a fault in her warm expression. "We're here to find the Original Theodore. If we don't wake him up, something bad may happen to him and us. If you know where he is, can you please help us?"
Upon Lotte's pleads, Theodore's demeanor visibly changes. His once angered, almost hostile, expression changes. What was once a violent and confused storm is now calm, almost as if the very presence of Lotte pacifies him.
"Then let's get going." He states, pointing his thumb behind him and into the distance. "He's probably being held in the prison. That's where all the other Theodores are kept."
Breaking his conversation from Lotte, his gaze finds himself back towards Diana, and his expression falters once again, back into annoyance.
"As long as this one doesn't push my buttons."
Without waiting for a response, Theodore walks down the road, prompting the three witches to follow.
Akko follows him without issue, her lack of focus ensuring her failure to hear his muttering.
However, Lotte heard this little jab, and glances towards Diana, the blonde herself gritting her teeth as she stares daggers in Theodore's direction.
Lotte gulps at this, the sight of a visibly frustrated and angered Diana unknown to her.
She and Diana follow behind the other two, Akko jabbering Theodore's ear off about something, the Finn using this time to console the blonde.
"I'm sorry that you have to put up with this, Diana. It must be hard to have someone you care about say such awful things to you. I know it is for me."
In truth, Theodore's hostility towards the other two witches pained Lotte, herself always preferring positivity among her friends. Although Theodore has come to verbal blows with people like Hannah and Barbara at one point or another, he was always sweet to her, and especially towards Diana.
"Thank you, Lotte. You're quite right. Although he may not be the Theodore that I've come to love, the fact that he looks and sounds exactly like him is impossible to ignore."
Upon stating this, Diana comes to the conclusion that it may be best if she keeps out of the conversation, instead deciding to let the Finn do the negotiations from here on. She is the only one that Theodore isn't unpleasant to, after all.
For some reason, despite Diana's best attempts at being warm, only Lotte can seemingly get through to him. Even Akko, known for her joyous and infectious energy (although annoying at times), can't break down the walls between herself and this Theodore.
Her boyfriend, Theodore, would've never referred to her as 'Cavendish', at least not in such a condescending tone. Perhaps it is seeing the one she cares for acting in such a hostile manner towards her, and everyone that the original Theodore holds so dearly, that is causing her pain. It seems like anything and everything can set him off, well anything but Lotte. Somehow, she's not in his line of fire.
Like Lotte, Diana knows that her own current attitude is not normal of her either. Even dealing with an annoying Akko or her devilish Aunt Daryl, Diana was more or less able to keep her cool. Yet now, she seems eager to be confrontational towards Theodore, almost as much as he is towards her.
However, she can't dwell on such thoughts, and instead must not allow this new reality to affect her. After all, this isn't the real Theodore, not the boy in Luna Nova she's come to love. He only looks and sounds exactly like him. If this were actually her boyfriend, things would be going far more smoothly. In fact, they'd already be back in the real world by now.
"So, how many other Teds are there, anyway?" Akko asks curiously. "When I was in Sucyworld, there were all kinds. Plenty more than I could have ever imagined!"
"There are all kinds of Theodores in this world." He answers as they continue to walk. "The Theodore with a normal sized nose, the Theodore with an even bigger nose than before, and so on and so forth."
Akko bites her lip, containing a fit of laugher before it can manifest itself.
"And which Theodore are you?" Lotte asks.
"I'm the part of Theodore that still wants to actualize his original Roman ambitions."
Well, that would explain his edgy antagonism.
"So many different Theodores…" Lotte points out. "Are they all so different, or is there something you share in common with one another?"
"Well, besides all of us looking like, and having the same name, there really is only one other thing."
"What's that?" The Finn follows up.
"We all-"
Before Theodore can continue, Akko butts into the conversation, a finger on her chin as she ponders.
"I went into my friend's mind, and they went on trial in a courtroom before they were executed. Is it the same way here?"
Shaking his head, Theodore responds with
"There aren't any trials here. We just imprison people for a bit and then execute them when we feel like it."
Akko's expression of inquisition drops into sheer disbelief, mouth open in shock.
"What?! Are you saying that you guys don't have trials?!"
Raising his nose at her with slight contempt, this Theodore doesn't flinch or falter as he speaks.
"Yes, that's what I said. You should listen closely to what I'm saying, Akko. You tend to have an issue of not paying attention."
"Hey, where did this come from?!" Akko fires back with a clenched fist. "I was just asking a question, you don't have to be so rude about it!"
"You're annoying voice makes me wince." He states, before turning away from Akko, clearly done with this conversation as he continues on down the road.
Gritting her teeth at Theodore, Akko holds a glare towards him.
Really, this whole situation is getting her worked up, just as it is with Diana. It reminds her of how Theodore treated her after Akko accidently made Diana sick. Definitely a mistake on Akko's part and definitely a low point for Theodore, one which this one has sadly seemed to embrace. Perhaps it was this very side of Theodore, this one which still wishes to realize his Roman ambitions, that spoke so cruelly towards Akko that day.
"Try not to pay him any mind, Akko." Diana requests, doing her best to follow her own advice. "Once we find the original Theodore and wake him up, we won't have to deal with this one any longer."
Even though these words were only meant for Akko's ears, the other Theodore hears this as well.
Stopping in his tracks, back still turned to the three girls, his head is lowered, and a low voice can be heard from him.
"Oh, so that's your end game…"
"Huh?" Akko questions, not understanding the tone of his voice.
However, Diana can.
Whether she meant it as an off handed comment or not, it seems to really have antagonized an already antagonistic Theodore.
Before the other Theodore can elaborate, a huge roar can be heard, and some large creature quickly comes into their vision, and is coming right for them.
It looks just like their friend.
"What the heck?!" Akko cries out. "A giant version of Ted?!"
In truth, it looks much more fearsome than that. Although bearing a striking resemblance to Theodore, the similarities quickly end. This creature appears to be a giant blob of a monster, with exaggerated proportions, boiled and bubbly skin, and a misshapen and haphazardly put together body. It looks more like that Sucy monster that Akko faced than it did Theodore.
Whatever it can be described as, Theodore or monster, it doesn't look like it wants to make friends.
Letting out a disturbed screech, the monster narrows its eyes towards the four, revealing jagged teeth partially concealed by a foaming mouth.
Without a moment of hesitation, the other Theodore jumps in front of Lotte, pulling out his wand, using his other arm to shield The Finn from the threat.
"Lotte, stay back!"
"Just what is this thing?!" Diana exclaims in confusion, firing off a spell towards the monster, it having little effect.
"And why is his nose even bigger than usual?!" Akko cries out, as if disgusted by such a sight.
"This is the version of Theodore who's body is proportional to his nose!" He explains with haste, making sure to keep Lotte behind him. "He also has a pretty bad temper!"
After this interesting explanation, the other Theodore fires a spell of his own.
The lightning quickly tears through the air, colliding against the monster's forehead. Once again, the spell has absolutely no effect; the monster doesn't even blink or flinch.
Diana stops her assault, finding this lack of reaction to harmful spells curious.
She can only recall seeing this once before, back in The Labyrinth with Hannah and Barbara so long ago. Despite their best efforts, the two of them were entirely unable to damage the dragon in question, each offensive spell only causing the creature to grow in size and power.
Although the power of those two girls pales in comparison to the blonde, they aren't pushovers by any means. Their spells would have been enough to harm any creature, small dragons included. And right at this moment, Diana feels exactly the same as Hannah and Barbara must of felt in that situation, frustrated by the lack of effect.
Although this giant and corrupt monster, barely resembling Theodore, isn't growing by their attacks, it still isn't being damaged. That can only mean one thing.
"Spells have no effect on it!" Diana comes to the conclusion.
"So, are we going to have to punch it, or something?" Akko suggests. "I can punch pretty hard when I'm mad, like when Soul Glow Activatur left Family Force Five. That really got me upset!"
While Akko continues to rant about her second favorite performer, Shiny Chariot being her natural first, Diana decides to take matters into her own hands.
She's been doing that a lot this school year.
"All the stones!" Diana cries out, raising her wand in the air.
As if moved by these very words, all the rocks, stones, and other mineral materials glow with an aura of magic, and slowly hover in the air.
"Become my weapon, and strike him down!" The blonde finishes the spell, and in one swift motion, points her wand in the monster's direction.
In an instant, all the debris conjured by Diana is flung right at its head, striking against its skull savagely. The creature reels back, clearly suffering from the blunt force of Diana's spell.
In just a few moments, Diana had quickly deduced that the creature was immune to spells and magic, and thus decided to switch to blunt force weaponry; fitting intelligence and adaptation from the well known 'Pride of Luna Nova'.
When the creature recovers from this blow, it is met with yet another similar spell from Diana, and then another, and another. Each blow to the head from the numerous stones disorientations it, a very large purple welt forming. It's as if the blonde has the giant monster in gridlock, unable to move forward, and unable to respond to the vast quantity of stone being lobbed at its skull.
Even brute beasts and primal creatures have some level of sense and self preservation, and this monster located inside of Theodore's mind is no exception.
Almost as quickly as it came, the monster flees from Diana's constant assault, and in its rush, bumps into Lotte, her small frame causing her to fall to the ground. From that angle, it looks as though Lotte hit her elbow pretty hard.
"Lotte, are you okay?!" Theodore cries out.
Sprinting like a mad dog, Theodore comes to her quickly, getting on his knees, a trembling expression of worry and fear spread widely across his face.
"Yes, I'm fine." She smiles sweetly, waving a hand in an attempt to calm his worries. "I just have a few bruises from hitting the ground, that's all."
Upon inspection, it's obvious that what she states in the full truth, no suppression of pain. Only a few minor cuts and bruises decorate her left elbow, not even a drop of blood present, just a slight red mark. Lotte has faced worse injuries from Sucy's potions.
However, to Theodore, any injury on Lotte may as well be the end of the world. To see Lotte hurt in any way, shape, or form would be similar to harming a defenseless creature, cruelty at its finest.
"This never should have happened!" He exclaims, rubbing his fingers through his hair. "You should never have been here, and now you're hurt!"
"I'm fine, please don't worry." Lotte attempts to calm him, a forced smile on her face. "Although you weren't personally there, remember, I was on Filicudi with the original Theodore, and was just fine."
Really, seeing Theodore ranting and raving over this is hurting Lotte much more so than her physical wounds. It's as if Lotte getting hurt has pained Theodore more than it did Lotte herself.
"Yeah, Lotte might look like a pushover, but she can be really scary!" Akko recalls fondly, supporting her friend. "I remember when I accidentally tore up her song scroll during The Witch Parade! Oh boy, when she started screaming, I was saying my prayers!"
At the mention of that painful incident, Lotte lets out a wavy smile, slightly discomforted by the memory.
"Yes, but I've forgiven you, Akko. I know it was an accident."
The very mention of Lotte on Filicudi causes the other Theodore to scowl, almost growling with a twisted expression.
"Never mind that, you should've never been on Filicudi. The Original Theodore should've never let you go. You're too important to me to be in such a dangerous place."
This sudden, rather forward, statement catches the Finn off guard.
"Huh?"
Realizing his slip in words, the other Theodore turns his head away from Lotte, as if attempting to conceal himself from the rest.
"I-I mean…" He whispers, trailing off. "Too important to him."
Taking a heavy sign, he turns back in their direction, his eyes still towards the floor.
"I can't believe he let you go there…" The other Theodore mutters under his breath. "He's got some nerve…"
"Children, if we are done with the arguing, may we continue?" Diana sighs, pinching the brim of her nose.
At this point, Theodore is getting on her nerves much more so than Akko ever did. That's something she'd never thought would happen.
"We need to stay on task. If we don't act soon enough, Luna Nova may fall without us."
Rather than continue with the argument, the other Theodore turns towards Diana.
"You're right, Diana. Let's go find the original Theodore. I've got a few things to say to him…"
Author's Note: And there's the first of two chapters that will be uploaded today. Hope you all enjoyed it.
Did you know that the Diakko extremists demonize every chapter I make, because they're haters? It's crazy, I know. But do you know how you can support the story? By following and favoriting, and leaving a comment. Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and I'll see you in the next one.
