Random ass cave in Afghanistan 3 days later (Toni POV)
"Well there are a lot better ways to wake up." She thought looking in this dark cave with one other person who looks about a war weary as a damp cat.
Let's see what has lead me to this little situationthat I now have in my hands.
Well the weapons demonstrate went great did a super dramatic turn and everything when the shockwave reached my back.
"Drama is timeless."
Then some soldiers wanted me to ride with them and hey good PR. After that while I was talking and it sounded like fucking WW3 started outside on the road then one by one my escort was mowed down. Also if that was not enough one of my fucking bombs lands not 3 feet in front of me and attempts to turn me into a blood puddle. It blows and goes straight through my vest getting blood on one of my favorite shirts. Get dragged to some cave and opened like a turkey but instead of stuffing they put something into my chest.
"OH MY GOODNESS WHO IS ME THIS HURTS." My brain screamed once I was in more working order. Deal with that later first need to do get some information of my surroundings then greet the glasses man currently shaving in a tiny mirror.
Trying to sit up only to feel something yank on my side I see an actual car battery hooked to what they put into me looks like some kind of magnet which means I need a magnet for some reason.
"Great I'm going to need a whole new set of shirts to go with this fucking horror show of a centerpiece." Getting up while grabbing the battery I see there is a camera looking right at me and the man finally looks at me only for me to realize he's the one I remember putting this thing in.
"Ah your finally awake." He says way to cheerful sounding.
"Where in the ever loving fuck am I." I say in a groggy sounding voice.
"Your still in Afghanistan in a small cave system." Ya real specific thanks four eyes it's not like Afghanistan is over 200,000 miles.
"And what the hell is this?" Gesturing to the electric health hazard digging into my flesh.
"That is what I used to keep you alive after I saved you. It will keep the shrapnel that's in your body from reaching your heart." Well he gets some points for that one. "The people of my village call it the walking dead because it takes about a week for the shrapnel to reach the vital organs." He finished with a solemn tone.
Well that explains the magnet but who are the people holding us. As if to answer that question there is a yell at the door and a bunch of guys with my me dammed guns pointing them at us.
"Put your hands up!" He says grabbing my arm but like and ancient being with a temper as big as Texas I just kept them at my side not that this smiling bastard walking towards me cared.
"Welcome Toni Stark most famousmass Murderer in the history of America." The bastard says gesturing to me.
Glasses translated not that he needed to when you got as much time as me you learn a lot of languages bastard also then tells me to build the Jericho missile. Now on principle I have to say no considering they kidnapped me and stuck me in a cave but as soon as that leaves my mouth they shove me in a tub of water to drown me.
They start to drag me out of the cave for me to see all of the toys with my last name on them lots of people running around. Not really listening I was cataloging the way out of the cave and every poor son of a bitch I would have to kill to leave this area. When my captor's voice goes up a little I know that was directed to me looks like he wants a handshake so putting on by best smile I take his hand."your all going to die here." I say in a happy tone shaking on it.
They take us back to the room in the back of the cave and I asked the question that started bugging me when I woke up "Who are these people?"
"They are your loyalty customers." He said
"Wait wait just wait these are not my customers. They are someone's customers and when I find out who at my company, because I just know it was one of those assholes on the board of directors, I'm going to rip out there large intestine and strangled them with it!" It had to be one of them because it would take a lot of power in Stark industries to cover it up.
"They call themselves the ten rings." He said ignoring what I just said.
Well the Ten cock rings are about to have a just the worst time when I'm done with them.
Cave workshop 5 hours later (Yinsen POV)
Toni Stark was not what I expected. The first time I met her it was at a science conference in Switzerland she was sitting at the bar slowly drinking and I just said hi and she just raised her glass and nodded her head meaning she did not want to talk. Who knew I would meet her in a cave being held by terrorist and I would have to save her life.
The men moved all the equipment into the room and she immediately started taking apart weapons she waved at me to come over she was pulling some out it was a small piece of metal from the circuit board. "This is palladium I need 11 more of these be a dear and help me get the rest." Nodding I grabbed a screwdriver and started to do as she said." Also glasses what's your name?" She said not even looking at me.
"Ho Yinsen." She just turned and smiled at me like she remembered my from all those years ago.
"Yinsen you saved my life so I will do my best to get us out of here in one piece." She said that with so much confidence I almost believed her.
Cave after building montage 2 days later (Toni POV)
I could feel Yinsen looking over my shoulder as I powered the mini arc reactor this was just phase one of escape plan dubbed Flaming fire claw TM.
"That does not look like a Jericho missile." He says as the lights dim from the power draw.
"This is a miniature version of the Arc reactor I have a bigger one powering my factory back home this should power my heart so I won't have to lug a car battery around." He looks impressed but doesn't say anything else.
Walking over to the workbench pulling out some wax paper that I was using to design some power armor to bust us out. I would not need this if I had my magicback but then this place would have a blade coming out of every available surface looking like a horror moviebut can't do that, so power armor it is.
"What is that?" He asked not seeing the badass armor I just diagramed.
"This is our ticket out of here." I say with a smile that would make a grow man run for the hills but he was stuck with me.
Another building montage with added death threat to assistant 3 months later (Toni POV)
Well it was now or never because Yinsen and I can't stall anymore they were staring to question us on a timeline for missile completion and getting more impatient.
"Ok power is hooked up and interface running just need to put me in and we're good to go." Yinsen was running around double checking everything including the incendiary bomb strapped to the door.
"Why an incendiary bomb?" He says running over helping me into the armor.
"It's homemade napalm that will burn for about 2 minutes and cover the entrance. It will buy us time if we need it." Made the most sense if we we're running out of time which we are.
I instructed him what commands to type in so we could get going. Right as the last line of code was put in someone started to yell at the door they did not sound happy. He was yelling at us to move onto the wall and I shouted at him in hungarian surprise Yinsen.
"You speak hungarian?" He said wondering why he had to translate all this time.
"Yinsen worst time to grill me on what language I speak and don't speak!" Right as I finished saying that the door went boom and the cave was an inferno of burning people.
The lights started to flicker from the power draw and the fire was still going so we had time. "Ok get behind me and get into the harness if we do have to fly out of here make sure to hold on tight." The lights died and the fire started going out more men started moving in slowly but it was to late.
In the dark I made my way to the blasted door and punched the first guy into the cave walls. "Damn I missed super strength." This was starting to get fun as I moved along the path I memorized 3 months ago. Bullets were bouncing off me as I kept punching and moving hitting anyone in my way then when we got near the entrance some bald lookin shit stane fired a grenade launcher at me barely avoiding Yinsen in the back. I shot a mini arm missile at him and hit him in the chest making him explode. Moving on we came to the entrance and saw every single man start to open fire. After a solid 30 seconds of pings on the helmet that will give me a headache for a week I look over them.
"He he he my turn!" I released a torrent of fire from the makeshift flamethrowers on my wrists lighting up the camp making it look like the Christian version of hell after that a bullet hits a belt on the armors leg shooting one last flame burst I get ready to take off.
"HOLD ON!" I scream hitting the button on my wrist launching Yinsen and I to freedom
Desert outside ofcamp 30 secondsLater (Toni POV)
"AAAAAAH!" Was that only sound I could make plummeting back to the earth slamming into the sand.
"Ow not doing that again." Looking around in the crater made by a very unreliable method of transportation I notice I'm alone.
"Yinsen? YINSEN!" As I said that I hear a groan from behind me he gets up and walks over to me while I'm still stuck in ground.
"Please don't yell my head is ringing." Helping me up he hugs me which was surprising but not unwelcome as we just survived operation Flaming fire claw TM.
"Ok ok let's get moving that way is south so if they are still looking for me the search area should be in that direction." Pushing him off and wrapping my head in my shirt leaving me in my tank top.
He nodded and started to follow me we walked for a few hours before I hear a chopper flying over head. Letting out a cry of victory and falling to my knees I see the chopper land and Rhodey of all people run out to grab me hugging me very tightly.
"Next time your riding with me." He said slowly releasing my from the bear hug.
I just collapsed on his shoulder to tired to move, needing a shower and wanting some real food. They finally notice I'm not alone and direct there attention over to Yinsen I tap Rhodes on the back to get his attention. "He helped me escape, now let's get out of this god forsaken desert." He nods and some men help both of us escapees onto the chopper.
