Avengers compound common room (Toni POV)
"Then I helped the Underground Railroad free slaves but that life was cut short when I took a bullet buying time for everyone to escape a shootout. Then I was living a quiet life in Austria just to die in time for the Eiffel Tower to be made. I missed Women's Suffrage but was just in time to work in a factory during World War Two. The last life was when I died and became Toni Stark." I finished my story after explaining why I was being reincarnated. Nobody interpreted me but there faces we're going in between disbelief and thinking I'm crazy.
"That's a great story Toni but... can you provide any proof?" Rogers asks voicing everyone's skepticism.
"Well there's this!" I yell summoning two copies of myself then materializing Necrodaggers and proceeded to juggle them in sync with my clones.
"I picked up juggling in 1700s Sweden after I slept with a court jester." I say demonstrating my skill.
"That's not what he meant, can you prove your you? This could be a trick to replace the real Toni Stark with a magic doppelgänger." Nat say clarifying the situation.
"Oh... at least say your impressed with the juggling. It's a skill I've kept up with for three hundred years." I say dismissing my magic with a pout.
"I thought it was cool." Peter says with Shuri nodding along.
"Thanks kids! Now ask me any questions only I would know the answer to." I say in confidence.
"What's your most embarrassing moment in college." Nat says not missing a beat.
"Natasha Romanoff you are a bitch and a half." I say scowling at the super human spy.
"That doesn't answer the question." Wanda says obviously wanting to know the answer.
"Fine! I was running late to class after working all night so... when I woke up, I forgot to get dressed and sprinted through school in only my bra and panties." I say mortified shoving my face into Fenris while Rhodey nods in confirmation.
"Ya that's her." Nat says laughing shortly followed by everyone else.
"You know what fine! I'm some evil clone that's going to kill all of you so run!" I yell trying to get them to stop... it didn't work.
"No you're definitely Toni." Rhodey says chuckling as well.
"Wait so your Thor's older sister?" Wanda asks.
"Technically half sister but it's not like we grew up together, I was already banished when he was born. I did know his mother when Odin took her as a spoil of war." I say leaning against Fenris.
"So to sum up your story... you conquered the universe with Thor's dad, tried to kill him, got banished to the land of the dead, went nuts from isolation, made a deal to escape and have been screwing with human history." Jennifer says rubbing her chin.
"Those are the highlights so ya." I say agreeing.
"Toni only you could turn out to be a death god on vacation. My father would have a heart attack." Hope says getting a pat on the back from Lang.
"Should we still call you Toni or is it Hela now?" Barnes asks.
"Toni is fine. I haven't been called Hela in a few thousand years." I say shrugging.
"Well your still Toni death goddess or not." Wanda says smiling.
The sentiment seemed to be shared with everyone as I answered more questions. We would have continued if not for the light signaling the arrival of Thor.
"Listen I'll deal with this you just watch, Fenris stay here I don't want you to get hurt." My faithful companion wined but listens to my request.
"Are you absolutely sure you don't need help?" Nat asks standing causing more to rise getting ready to help.
"He will assume I'm controlling you if we all fight, plus I'm way stronger than him. Jarvis send my armor." I say walking out to the front of the compound.
"Mam May I advise against fighting with Thor and company. It is to dangerous." Jarvis says concerns evident.
"Jarv don't worry I got this." I say opening the front door.
Thor was standing there with a woman I don't recognize and surprisingly Bruce and Loki, they looked ready to charge until they noticed me walking over and the Iron Queen armor walking behind me.
"I don't suppose we can talk about this?" I say letting the armor wrap around me.
"Cease the impersonation of my shield sister, it will not help you." Thor says Gungnir in one hand and Mjølnir spinning in the other.
"Thor I'm going to say this once I am Toni Stark and Hela Goddess of death. If you let me explain we don't have to fight." I say charging my repulsor.
"It's a trick Thor the hag just wants confuse us." The woman says.
"Well fuck you lady I don't know, I'll have you know I'm hot." I say in offense.
"You don't remember me." The lady says in a low menacing tone.
"Uh don't tell me... your... I think... maybe... ya I got nothing but I've always been bad with names." I say tapping my chin in thought.
"Maybe this will remind you!" She yells pulling a sword and charging.
Dodging out of the way I blast her but she blocks it with the sword. I dive just in time for a beam of energy to Miss me coming from Thor. Flying higher up I see Thor throw Mjølnir straight for me but I grab it. Spinning the hammer I throw it right at the woman hitting her hard. Before I can congratulate myself a dagger flys past my head from Loki. Another energy beam from Thor almost hits but I move and fire a salvo of rockets stunning him. Using the opening I summon a clone and send it to Loki to fight him.
"Ok it's raining swords!" I yell summoning hundreds of Necroswords and firing them at the group.
With them distraction I fly at full speed at Thor punching him in the face. Asgardian strength plus Vibranium armor at speeds of one hundred miles an hour equals a large shockwave.
Boom!
Crack!
He flys back sliding across the grass in a blur stopping when he hits a tree. The woman is already on me so I summon two swords to fight her in close combat. As we trade slashes I instinctually flip a sword to stab a copy of Loki that snuck up on me causing it to disappear.
"Banner we need help!" Thor yells running back into the fight.
"That cheating!" I yell seeing Bruce shift.
I can take Thor, Loki and the mystery lady but add Hulk and my odds go down. Hulk charges my clone and makes short work of the copy as it's only about ten percent of the originals power. He charges at me so I Kick away the lady a good distance, I summon a war hammer and hit Hulks face with all of my strength making him roll back. But while I did that an energy beam hits my back from Thor making me stumble. Hulk was already on me again so I summon a massive blade pillar to knock him away.
"Ok to close for comfort." I mutter rolling my shoulder.
Thor fires more beams as the woman charged, I immediately put some distance flying back into the air. I was going to fire some wrist blasts but a massive chunk of earth hits sending me into the ground. Picking myself up I see Hulk coming but he never made it courtesy of a double kick from Nat and Jen.
"I told you to stay inside!" I yell at the duo who just kicked the Hulk away.
"Well to bad! We won't watch you fight alone." Nat yells back.
"Plus we have a bone to pick with my cousin." Jen says cracking her knuckles.
The Hulk seems to register who just kicked him and looked confused.
"Jenny?" Hulk says looking at Jennifer.
"Ya Bruce now me and you ex are going kick your ass six ways to Sunday." She says running with Nat to fight.
With Hulk occupied I turn my attention to the trio of warriors. I didn't see Loki until I hear a grunt from behind me, looking back I see Loki surrounded by red energy and Wanda in close by. Loki had his arm raised to stab me with a dagger but Wanda raised him into the air and slammed him into the ground repeatedly.
"And what's your excuse?" I ask now that more people came to help me.
"Seemed like fun." She says with a shrug proving I'm a good influence on her.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Barnes and Rogers start to fight the mystery woman while Vision helps with Hulk. Now it was just me and Thor, he looks to see his friends seemingly helping his enemy.
"Friends do not let her fool you!" Thor yells but is ignored.
"Stop fighting so we can talk." I say trying to stop before something bad happened.
"I will free my friends from you!" He yells with a massive amount of lightning surrounding him.
The lightning strike was the biggest anyone has see from Thor and it hit me directly. Even with the armors natural electric defense I feel that power to the bone.
"Granted it didn't do much but still impressive." I think feeling my hair frizz.
"Now I'm going to kill you... do you realize how hard it is to take my hair once its frizzy!" I yell redirecting all power to enhance my strength.
He seemed to reciprocate as he charged more lightning into his hands and ran at me. Flying at him we meet in the middle.
Boom!
Smash!
The new shockwave was huge breaking the windows in front of the compound and pushing everyone back. Once the dust cleared people saw me standing over an unconscious Thor with steam coming off my armor. Looking around Loki was tied up, Hulk was Bruce again, and the mystery lady was being carried away by Barnes while she kicked and yelled.
"I'll kill that bitch!" She continued flailing around managing to kick Barnes in the face.
"Nooooooooo!" I shout landing on my knees when I noticed the area.
"Toni what's wrong!?" Wanda says running over concern all over her face.
"It's going to cost a fortune to fix the grass and windows!" I cry hitting my fist on the ground.
Everyone gave me a flat look before moving into the compound.
Avengers compound dungeon 2 hours later (Toni POV)
We where waiting for Thor to wake up until we try talking to the group. The cells were reinforced glass cubes that could survive a nuclear blast. The woman hadn't stopped shouting about killing me since we put her in the cell. Loki has been sitting quietly in the cell like the little shot he is.
"Toni why do you have a dungeon under the compound?" Nat asks observing the prisoners.
"Never know when you'll need one." I say going into the personal effects of the prisoners.
We have a pile of daggers from Loki, Gungnir and Mjølnir from Thor, and a sword from the woman. I pick up the sword and inspect it, pulling it out of its sheath I recognize the blade. Dragonfang the weapon of the Valkyrie.
"Well that explains why she hates me so much." I think looking at the Valkyrie.
"She hasn't stop yelling about killing you." Nat says seeing the Valkyrie kicked the glass cell wall.
"She may have a very good reason for that." I say exhaling a deep breath.
"And why is that?" Nat Jen says walking in with Bruce next to her.
"I may have slaughtered all of Odin's Valkyrie when I tried to escape my banishment... and left one to tell the tale." I say rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly.
"You were a real bitch weren't you." Jennifer says getting a chuckle from Nat.
"I can't argue that, hay Bruce how it hanging?" I ask changing the subject.
"I was stranded on an alien planet as a gladiator for two years. Then when I come back my cousin is a She-Hulk and my ex can beat the Hulk up, oh and my friend is Thor's older sister who I tried to kill. So it's great." He says flatly.
"Well so long as your good." I say walking over to the Valkyrie cell.
"Miss Stark can I study you?" Shuri says running into the dungeon with Peter and her guards.
"When your older." I say ruffling her hair.
"She wants to study magic and incorporate it into tech. Could you help?" Peter says with those big doe eyes.
"Oh I can't say no to both of you, here is a book on magic from Asgard take it and I'll be up later to translate." I say pulling a beginner magic book out of my storage pocket handing it over. They smile grabbing the book and run out causing me to smile.
I look back at the Valkyrie to notice that she stopped yelling and was looking at me slack jawed.
"What?" I ask.
"You were nice." She says like it's an impossibility.
"Well yes, what were you expecting?" I ask confused.
"I expected for you to yell and threaten them, The Hela I know was a cold hearted hag who enjoys killing! What happened to you?" She says frustrated.
"It's been over a two thousand years was I not supposed to grow as a person?" I says.
"You were supposed to be the woman in my nightmares that I drink myself into a coma to escape! The woman who covered the ground with the body's of all my sisters!" She shouts sitting on the ground pulling her knees to her chin.
"Well that woman died when she was trapped in the land of the dead... she was alone and scared for a long time. She was so desperate to escape that she would have done anything to avoid being alone again. Because when it's just you in a desolate wasteland with only the sound of yourself breaking from the isolation..." I trail off getting to deep into those memories before I feel a two hands on both my shoulders. Glancing I see Nat and Jen giving me comfort.
"You really are different... I'm not sure how to handle that." The Valkyrie says seeing me in a new light.
"Listen if I let you out will you promise to not kill me, maybe spending time with me with help you see the new me." I say smiling.
"Do you have any booze?" She asks standing up.
"Yes I have gallons." I say with a chuckle.
"Fine I swear on my honor or what little I have left that I will not kill you as soon as I'm free." She says with a genuine look.
"Perfect. Stick with me and I'll show you how to be a fashionable lady and a functional alcoholic." I say opening the glass cell.
"Just to let you know she's neither of those things." Nat says.
"Plus look at what she's wearing, she has no fashion sense." Jen adds.
"What is your problem with sweat pants and toe socks? It's comfort with functionality all in one package." I say defending my great wardrobe decision.
"Ya I'm not wearing that, I doubt that's a good look even on Midgard." Valkyrie says with a deadpan look.
"Suit yourself, I'm Toni Stark Genius, billionaire, inventor, and Goddess of death it's nice to meet you." I says holding out my hand to her.
"I'm Brunnhilde and I'm not sure what I am anymore." She says shaking my hand.
"Witch your honeyed word will not work on me! You may have won the hearts of my companions but I will deal out justice!" Thor yells finally awake glaring at me.
I have had it up to here with this! Apparently I hit him to hard because he's even more of an idiot!
"Thor if you don't stop being a jackass with his head so deep in his anus he can see his own throat I'll rip off your dick, put it in a blender, then make you drink it!" I yell having had enough.
"That sounds more like the Hela I remember." Brunnhilde mutters to herself.
"Stark it is you! Wait your my sister!? What joy that my shield sister is also my older sister!" He yells like the dumb bitch he is.
"That's what convinced you!?" I yell in disbelief.
"Of course! Only Stark came come up with threats that make grown men flee in terror." He explains.
"It is kinda on brand with you." Nat says nodding her head.
"You shut it." I say to Nat only getting a smirk back.
I was about to address the Loki in the room but a portal opens next to me and Dr Strange walks out.
"Why is Loki still on earth?" Strange says looking at Thor.
"He is here to help with my sister, but my sister is no longer a threat so we will leave." Thor say smiling.
"More like they tried to fight me and got there asses kicked." I say getting Strange's attention.
"Ah yes it seems you have your power back, any plans on world domination?" He asks passively.
"Don't be a asshole, you know I don't." I say offended at the question.
"Then what do you plan on doing?" He asks.
"Right now? I was going to teach two teenagers how to bend reality to there will just for my own amusement." I says smiling at the thought of Peter and Shuri casting spells.
"Please don't or at least teach them proper safety." He says eyeing me suspiciously.
"If I may. I have information that will prove vital." Loki day getting our attention.
"And what would you want for said information?" Strange says.
"Protection. I wish to stay on Midgard under the Avengers protection once someone I failed inevitably comes." Loki says with a serious demeanor.
"And by the Avengers you mean Stark." Strange clarified.
"She is undoubtedly the strongest and will become stronger. When he comes I believe Stark can stop him." He says looking at me.
"What is he doing that would involve us anyway?" I ask.
"He is gathering the Infinity stones." Loki says gravely.
"Who would be stupid enough to do that?" I say.
"Thanos." He says like the very name burns him.
Stark industries research and development 2 weeks later (Toni POV)
Working on weapons to kill a genocidal mad titan was time consuming. While I did have fun teaching Peter and Shuri how to cast spells my mind inevitably went back to Thanos. A plan to wipe half the universe clean born of some sense of duty to save everyone was insane, but he wasn't called the mad titan for nothing.
"Friday begin production of the Nano suit." I say working on my latest and greatest suit.
"Coding upload compete... Vibranium grafting complete... estimated completion time is five days." Friday says working hard.
"Mam you have a call on line one from Wakanda." Blue the slime girl says from the intercom.
"Thank you blue. your doing a great job." I say trying to encourage personal growth from the slime.
"Hello how can I help you?" I say answering the call.
"First you can explain to me why there are ten of my daughter running around the Citadel." King T'Chaka says sounding frustrated.
"Actually did you know Shuri is a magic prodigy, because I sure didn't. All I had to do was translate a beginner manual and she just starts flinging magic all over." I say pride clear in my voice.
"So it true what Shuri said about you being a Goddess of death... I'm not sure what to do with that." He says in a tone I cant identify.
"Is this going to be a problem?" I say hoping that it wouldn't.
"No it won't. mostly because when Shuri heard you were missing she was devastated and after she came home still thinking the world of you... I knew you were still the same." He says with a wise tone.
"Well she's a smart kid with a kind heart who will take the world by storm. If magic will help keep her safe then I will teach her everything." I say resolute.
"I don'tdoubt that. But she is in trouble for sending a clone to dinner and staying in the laboratory." He says with a chuckle.
"Ha that hilarious, but is there anything else you need?" I say.
"It's more what I can do for you. If the information is correct then another invasion is coming but this time it may engulfed the world. Wakanda will stand with you and the Avengers to fight this threat." He says steel in his voice.
"That is very appreciated and I would like for you to be here for a meeting that we are having to discuss this issue." I say.
"Send a time and place and I shall be there." He says ending the call.
"Mam the President is on the line for you." Blue says from the intercom.
"My work is never done." I sigh out answering the call.
Avengers compound 1 week later (Toni POV)
Field trip was an appropriate word for this outing.
When I mentioned the possibility of visiting the magic center of earth to Wanda she immediately wanted to go. Then I asked Shuri if she wanted to go as well so she begged her father, of course Peter is going if Shuri is going. Somehow Loki talked his way into the trip which annoyed me to no end.
Now it was just us waiting for Strange to open a portal for us to enter.
"I don't know what fascinates you with Midgardian magic. You already copied the entirety of Asgard's library, so why bother with anything else." Loki says standing next to me while the kids and Wanda chat in front of us.
"Because it has a lot more variety than Asgard magic. Tell me little brother are you a master of magic?" I asks knowing what he will say.
"Of course I am sister." He says dismissively.
"Then you have already begun to stagnate. The moment you think you have mastered a craft is when you no longer can improve." I say now focused on the portal opening.
"Please step through." Strange says gesturing to follow.
Kamar-Taj same time(Toni POV)
Walking into a place dedicated to magic had calming effect on everyone, even Loki relaxed. The place was beautiful as an old temple with many training in the courtyard.
"First some ground rules. No touching the artifacts without permission, do not take any books from the library with without Wong's permission, and do not wander off." He says all business.
"Oh try and be more fun Strange." I say noticing Shuri Peter and Wanda we're already gone.
Loki was trying to sneak off but I grab him by the coat and yank him back.
"I trust them not to intentionally cause trouble, but you will stay at my side at all times." I say with a glare.
"Thanks for minding him but let's find the others." Strange sighs out.
Walking down the sacred halls we quickly locate the others in the library with who I assume is Wong chasing Shuri as she reads and runs around while Wanda and Peter just stare.
"Ok what did she do?" I ask.
"She has taken a book on transformation magic!" Wong yells still.
Shuri puts the book down on a table she passes and a light covers her. In her place is a calico cat that jumps on my shoulder glaring at Wong. I smirk pulling the cat off and into my arms giving it a scratch on the head.
"Wow she is a fast learner." I say still scratching.
"She took that book even after I said it was to advanced for her." Wong explains taking the book.
"There's your first problem, never tell a genius that something is to advanced." I say putting Shuri on the ground while she changes back.
"She is quite skilled." Loki says with a look I don't like.
"Don't even think about it." I say glaring at him.
"Now that at least one rule has been broken let's continue the tour." Strange says gesturing to the exit.
The tour was interesting but we all wanted to return to the library to read the arcane arts. Wong didn't stop watching Shuri the entire time as we read, even after I gave him some Asgardian books as a peace offering. There was one book that drew me like a beacon, a guide to death magic and necromancy. I didn't notice time pass as I read all the books contents showing the art of bending death to my will.
"That book seems appropriate for a Goddess of death." Strange says with a knowing tone.
"Goddess of death is not just a fancy title, I've never been able to explore my abilities due to Odin deeming it unnecessary. Normally someone with my natural inclination to death magic would receive tutoring from a master but those are rare." I say closing the book after the last page.
"Why didn't he deem it unnecessary?" Strange asks.
"He wanted a warrior not a mage. Summoning my Necro-weapons was all the magic he thought I needed." I mumbled.
"Miss Stark look!" Shuri yells grabbing my arm and taking me out into the courtyard.
In the middle of the courtyard was Wanda and Peter tossing a ball of blue energy like a dodgeball nearly missing each other's heads. Shuri jumps in with her own ball of energy tossing it and nailing Wanda in the stomach.
"Toni I need help!" Wanda yells making more magic balls.
I run over ready to assist with my own magic laughing the whole time.
Later more masters would join and that day until it went down in history as the great magic dodgeball battle of Kamar-Taj.
