Chapter 4:. The Tournament Training

Naruto woke up from his deep sleep and got ready to train. He put on his orange jumpsuit, pants, and his bandana. He then dashed out the door and headed straight for the Hokage Tower.

(The Hokage Tower)

Naruto opened the door and called out "Jiji! I need to train even harder than all those other times before!"

Hiruzen simply looked and naruto and sighed "Naruto-Kun, I'm sorry but today I won't be able to train you."

Naruto looked at his Jiji and said "You rarely ever have time, but when you do, you make the most of it. In total I would say we've had a total of about 55 training session ever since you first started training me 6 six years ago."

Hiruzen smirked and announced "I have a fix for that, come on in Jiraiya."

And with that an old man with red makeup, white hair, red bandana, red tank top, and a grey long sleeve shirt walked inside the room.

"Ahh, so this is the Gaki I'ma be training" said Jiraiya.

Hiruzen nodded his head and Naruto asked "Is he strong?"

Hiruzen looked at Jiraiya and said "Show him."

Jiraiya looked at Naruto and began forming a sphere of wind. "Just a little perk from training with The Toad Sage."

Naruto was amazed by this and immediately said "Alright I am fine with this! As long as you teach me other cool moves like that!"

Jiraiya nodded then both himself and Naruto left the Hokage Tower.

(A Lake)

"Alright Gaki, the first thing I'm gonna be teaching you is what I showed you" (Jiraiya knows that Naruto can walk on water due to the fact that he was trained by The Third Hokage).

"Alright so how do I do it?" Asked Naruto

"First you must start off with this." said Jiraiya before handing Naruto a water balloon. "Try to gather as much chakra as you can into this balloon and eventually it will pop."

Naruto did just this and was able to pop the balloon almost immediately.

"Alright, alright, I must say, that was impressive Gaki" Jiraiya said before handing Naruto a rubber ball.

"Alright let's do this" said Naruto whilst stretching from side to side.

And just like the water balloon Naruto was able to pop the rubber ball shortly (It took a few minutes and the balloon took a few seconds).

"Wow, I'm impressed Naruto-Kun. This was a move created by The Fourth Hokage and you managed to get the first two steps down in record time" complimented Jiraiya.

"Yeah, Kakashi-Sensei already taught me how to slice a leaf in half with only Chakra, so this was much easier" Naruto reasoned.

"Well okay, how about the final step. Making the Rasengan" Jiraiya said. "Gather chakra into one of your hands and use the other to contain and control it."

Naruto did just that, but it was proving more difficult than the first two steps. Naruto was trying as hard as he could and then stopped after about five hours due to Chakra exhaustion (Naruto used the Kage Bunshin No Jutsu to speed up the time but it was still proving difficult).

"Alright Gaki take a rest for now and we'll start again tomorrow, as soon as I get done with some research" explained Jiraiya.

'What does he mean by that?' Naruto thought.

They both camped outside to rest for the night.

(The Next Morning)

As soon as Naruto woke up he looked around for his new sensei "Hey, Jiraiya-Sensei, where are you!" He yelled out.

Naruto walked around for a bit untill finally finding his Sensei.

"Hey Sensei!" Naruto yelled out again.

"Gaki quiet down!" Jiraiya loudly whispered.

Suddenly all you could hear were women creaming their heads off about a peeping Tom.

Naruto immediately caught on and yelled out to his Sensei "This is what you call research!?"

The women that were screaming all came out of the hot spring and started yelling out they were gonna get whoever was peeping on them.

Naruto immediately made a run for it deciding 'Better you than me Sen... actually how about Pervy Sage.'

After Naruto got farther away from where his new Personal Sensei was, he decided to catch his breath. Naruto was a bit relieved to have gotten to the fire they had set up before beginning to train. He was just doing some thinking while waiting for his Sensei.

'I wonder if Hinata-Chan is upset with me for brutally beating one of her teammates? Well, I mean it didn't seem to bother her that much but then again she could've just been wearing a mask. I better make things right" Naruto snapped out of his train of thought and rushed to the Konoha hospital but not before putting out the fire with dirt.

While Naruto was making his way to the Konoha hospital he ended up bumping into someone rather harshly. They both fell to the ground and Naruto with his eyes closed immediately apologized.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you like that!" Naruto exclaimed in alarm.

Naruto opened his eyes and saw that the person he bumped into was a woman who looked a bit like Kiba. She had his hair, his red marks and the same canine teeth.

"Are you Kiba's sister or someone else?" Naruto genuinely asked.

The woman blushed at Naruto's use of words, due to the fact that she could tell he was being serious. She cleared her throat and spoke

"No, I'm his mother, Tsume" she answered.

"Oh, I didn't know Kiba's mother looked so young" Naruto said.

Tsume blushed even more and asked Naruto "Who are you?"

"Oh I'm Naruto Uzumaki, and I was looking for the hospital that Kiba is in which is why I ended up bumping into you that harshly."

'Ahh this boy is the one that holds The Nine Tails. He is also the one that Kiba hates because of the fact that Kiba called -dibs- on Hinata but she still doesn't pay any attention to him and instead this blonde haired boy.' Tsume thought but then asked "Why are you looking for Kiba, are you a friend of his or something?"

Naruto sheepishly replied with "honestly don't know. I just wanted to check up on his injuries."

Tsume with a cocked eyebrow asked Naruto "How do you know about his injuries?"

"Well, I'm kinda the one that put him in the hospital" Naruto shyly replied while rubbing the back of his head.

Tsume immediately turned wide eyed and thought 'Wow this boy is something else.Whats worse is I can't even be mad at him. Because all I hope is that Kiba learned his lesson about calling -dibs- on a girl as if she was a possession.' Tsume was brought out of her train of thought when she heard Naruto explain.

"I really don't know my own strength, do I? I thought that I held back enough during my fight with him, but apparently it wasn't enough."

Tsume was shocked to hear that this boy was holding back against Kiba but still did so much damage. She began to get back up and Naruto followed suit.

"I don't blame you if you hate me now" Naruto told Tsume with his head downcast.

"I don't hate you Naruto, it was a tournament and Kiba probably needed it" Tsume assured him.

Naruto brought his head up and smiled at her.

'Wow, this kid is kinda cute, no wonder Hinata likes him so much' Tsume thought. "Well I'm going to the hospital to visit Kiba, do you wanna join me?"

Naruto quickly nodded in agreement and so they both made their way to the hospital.

(Konoha Hospital)

Naruto and Tsume were at the front desk waiting for the receptionist. Once she came they immediately got straight to the point.

"Is Kiba Inuzuka in one of these rooms?" Tsume asked. The nurse nodded and Naruto asked

"Can we know which room?"

"Room 32" The nurse informs.

"Okay thanks" Both Naruto and Tsume replied in unison before making they're way to the room.

Tsune opened up the door to the room and Kiba immediately got up. He was about to yell at her for checking in on him since he is a -man- but immediately froze when he saw who was with her.

"Hey Kiba" Naruto greeted with a smile.

Kiba was still frozen so Naruto didn't get a response. Naruto waited for a bit, but after a minute he decided that they needed to wake him up. Tsume agreed and so she slapped hom across the face, which succeeded in waking him up.

"Ow, mom!" Kiba yelled.

"Well your Naruto here was greeting you and you wouldn't respond!" Tsume argued.

"Why should I he's not my friend! And either way, I hate him!" Kiba yelled back.

Tsume was about to slap Kiba again but Naruto held her hand down. He shook his head, silently telling Tsume to let this slide. Tsume reluctantly stopped and consented. Naruto then told Kiba

"You can hate me all you want but that doesn't mean I hate you. And don't talk to your mother like!" Naruto yelled the last part.

Tsume blushed and smiled at Naruto's last statement, but the smile faded once she heard what Kiba said next.

"Why shouldn't I?! She's the reason why Tou-San left!"

Tsume got up and ran out the room after hearing this. Naruto could tell what Kiba said got to her and so he asked Kiba in a voice filled with anger while grabbing onto his shirt collar

"Why would you say something like that to your own Mother!

(Forrest)

"He always reminds me, because he knows how much it makes me want to do this" Tsume whispered before bringing a Kunai and thrusting it to her heart, only for it to be stopped by a hand.

When she turned around to see who stopped her, she was surprised when she saw that it was Naruto.

Naruto took the Kunai away from her, looked at her, shook his head, and said "Don't listen to him, he's just spouting bullshit."

'Nobody ever stopped me from doing this before. Why did this boy do it?' Tsume thought before speaking "No he's right" Tsume argued.

"What are you talking about?"

Tsume took a deep breath and began explaining "Long ago, me and my husband at the time were taking care of Kiba and Hana. Hana is Kiba's older sister. After a while however, the man I married was not the same. He was starting to not only hurt me physically but also mentally. He also wanted to be the new head of the Inuzuka Clan but when I refused the idea, he left."

Naruto clenched his fists, but unclenched them and instead gave Tsume a big and tight hug. Tsume felt warm under his embrace and didn't notice herself returning said embrace.

Naruto then whispered in her ear "Don't ever do something like this again, please. You're son might not care about you, but that doesn't mean I don't. Think about your daughter, do you think she will be happy about you acting this way?"

"But I..." Tsume began but was interrupted by Naruto.

"No buts, and another thing. That piece of shit you call an ex husband does not deserve you."

Tsume began crying a bit and told Naruto "According to him, an ugly spineless bitch like me isn't worthy of his attention."

Naruto clenched his fists, he couldn't believe what he was hearing and so he told Tsume what he thinks. "That piece of shit must not have eyes then, because you're beautiful, strong, and a great person in general."

"You really think so?" Tsume asked him.

"I know so" Naruto replied.

"You're the first person ever to stop me from trying something like this Naruto."

"And I hope I will be the last Tsume-Chan." After this was all said Naruto broke the embrace and ran off to the camp he and his Sensei set up.

Tsume blushed deeply at Naruto's use of an honorific and said to herself "Well Hinata, you've got yourself competition. That kid will become Chunin soon and when he does I'll make my move. He saved me from myself and I feel I can save him from loneliness."

When Naruto made it back to the camp he was greeted by the bruised body of his new Sensei.

"Where have you been Gaki?" Jiraiya asked him

"I had something to take care of Pervy Sage."

"Since when did you start calling me that?"

"Since I found out about your Pervy nature."

"Just stop calling me that."

"Nope."

They argued for about five minutes untill Jiraiya got fed up with it and told Naruto.

"Fine, just don't call me that in front of anyone."

"Maybe" was Naruto's only reply.

Jiraiya sighed and they both got back to training.

(Two weeks later)

After days of Jiraiya trying to teach Naruto the Rasengan, Naruto finally figured it out.

"Now...why couldn't I... use the Kage Bunshin?" Naruto said in between pants.

"Because. Now you won't call me Pervy Sage anymore, will you?" Jiraiya replied with his arms crossed.

"Son of a bi..." Naruto started off but fell into unconsciousness (Naruto didn't sleep after one week into training, so his chakra exhaustion was bad).

"Get some rest Gaki you're gonna need it." said Jiraiya with a smug grin.

(One week Later)

Naruto finally woke up in one of the tents that the two set up. He rubbed both of his eyes in order to finally fully awaken. And when he finally was fully up, he got up and met his New Sensei outside the tent.

"Pervy Sage, you're up too?" Naruto shockingly says.

"Gaki, I'm surprised to see you're up, since you've been knocked out for a week. Also The Chunin Exams happen in just one more week" said Jiraiya.

"What, okay do you have any other strong Jutsu to teach me that could help me?" Asked Naruto.

"Of course" Jiraiya replied. Naruto let out a sigh of relief and asked him the question on his mind.

"What is it?

"Just watch" and with that said, Jiraiya stepped back, bit his thumb, and made some hand signs and yelled out "Kuchiyose No Jutsu!"

A large toad with a scroll in between it's tongue popped outta nowhere. Naruto looked at the toad then at his Sensei and asked him

"Wow, can I do that?"

Jiraiya smirked and assured Naruto "Of course you can, if you sign this contract that the toad I have summoned brought and agree to my training."

Naruto nodded his head vigorously and so Jiraiya threw the scroll down, this made said scroll unwrap itself then Jiraiya told Naruto "And another thing, you must sign it with your blood."

Naruto had no problems with this and so he bit his thumb and signed the contract. Once this was done he immediately got the hand signs down and called out "Kuchiyose No Jutsu!"

Then a small tadpole appeared in a cloud of dust (Naruto is still tired due to Chakra Exhaustion). Jiraiya looked at the tadpole and laughed

"A tad pole really?!" He said through loud laughter while on the ground and clutching his sides.

"Shut up! I'm exhausted what do you expect?"

Jiraiya's laughter calmed down. He knew that this was due to Chakra Exhaustion from the start but couldn't help but laugh since the boy was doing so good up untill now.

Jiraiya dusted himelf off then looked at the tadpole. He then told Naruto "I believe that is Gamakichi."

Naruto looked dumbfounded and asked Jiraiya "Who is that?"

"The eldest son of Gamabunta, the Chief Toad" Jiraiya affirmed.

"Can I meet this Gamabunta?" Naruto asked.

"Summon him and thats how you'll meet him, although I would recommend you wait a few more days. This is because summoning Gamabunta will take up even more Chakra and you're already tapped out, as we see by how you only managed ro summon a tadpole" Answered Jiraiya. 'Well if you could use the fox's chakra then you'd be able to do it today most likely.

Naruto then got an idea. He lit his hand together and started gathering some of the fox's chakra (Naruto did not form a tail).

When Jiraiya saw Red chakra start leaking from the boy he knew that Naruto would be able to summon the toad. He then asked Naruto "Sice when could you do that?"

"For a while, this is something that Hokage Jiji taught me. I can only summon one toad so far though. It doesn't matter though, because Im gonna summon The Chief Toad!" Naruto answered and yelled the last part.

Jiraiya stepped way back knowing that the boy was completely capable of doing it. And was shocked when he heard the blonde yell out

"Kuchiyose No Jutsu!" and The Chief Toad appeared.

The toad looked around then spotted Jiraiya and thought 'If Jiraiya didn't summon me, who did?' He immediately got his answer when he heard yelling.

"Are you The Chief Toad!?"

The toad looked up and asked in a deep voice "Who are you, and why did you summon me?"

"I summoned you as a part of training and I was hoping that you an I could work together if I ever needed you" Naruto genuinely answered.

"As long as it's a fight next time then sure. But don't you ever summon me for training again" said Gamabunta.

Naruto nodded, got off the toad, and then said toad dispersed. He then looked at his Sensei and said "Well I'ma go home. I should rest untill the tournament starts."

Jiraiya agreed and Naruto went home.

(With Sasuke)

Kakashi looked at Sasuke and ordered him "Try again."

Sasuke did just this and still couldn't completely get it.

Kakashi looked at Sasuke and asked him "Sasuke, You've told me about the Orochimaru incident as well as the bite mark, but you didn't tell me who suppressed it for you. So, who did it?"

Sasuke turned around to look at his Sensei and said "It was Naruto."

Kakashi turned wide eyed and asked Sasuke "How?"

Sasuke looked at Kakashi and told him what happened that day. "Naruto and me just got done fighting Orochimaru and Naruto noticed that I kept clutching my neck. So he sat me down and used a suppression seal he learned from The Third Hokage."

"Naruto is even stronger than I thought" said Kakashi. "Well keep trying with this technique, I'm sure it will come in handy for the future."

Sasuke nodded and kept trying to use the technique.

'Sasuke is doing better than when he began' Kakashi thought.

'If I can't at least learn this Jutsu by the time The Tournament happens, then I'm not gonna be able to beat my opponent. Much less Naruto' Sasuke thought.

Kakashi ordered Sasuke to stop and he did. Sasuke looked at Kakashi and waited for Kakashi to give him some tips.

"You're not forming the right hand signs, why do you keep messing that up?" Kakashi asked.

Sasuke was thinking about what Kakashi just told him and realized that he was indeed not forming the right handsigns. "I guess I'm just used to my Fire Jutsu" Sasuke lied.

Kakashi noticed that Sasuke was lying and ordered him in a more serious tone to "Cut it out and tell me whats really bothering you."

"Fine, it's the fact that I might have to face Naruto! Are you happy now?!" Sasuke yelled out.

"Why is it bothering you so much Sasuke."

"Because I've never beaten him before during our sparring session in The Academy or our own training. And worst of all he was the reason why I managed to beat The Ice User on the mission we went on. If I can't successfully form this jutsu, then I don't stand a chance against him, that's what's really bothering me" He admitted.

Kakashi got an idea "Well how about instead of worrying about being weaker than him, focus on becoming stronger than him. You keep losing your focus when you think about him and his power, so don't think of it and insead think of being stronger than him."

Sasuke realized that this wasn't a bad idea since the thought of Naruto stil being dtronger than him was in fact still clouding his mind and making him lose focus. With that being said he looked at his Sensei and assured him

"Okay Kakashi Sensei. I've got this now." And with that being said, Sasuke began trying to form the same technique and was actually starting to get the hang of it.

(With Hinata)

Hinata was training harder than ever before with her father as was Neji with his own father (Both were training in different areas around the compound).

Both were pumped for their fights and we're not going to slack due to their opponents.

'That Naruto kid is a great inspiration to Hinata, because of him she is stronger than ever before, so I should thank him for that some time in the future. If Hinata ends up being with him then she will train even harder and become even stronger, so I hope that she does. Although, that pink haired girl might have an edge due to being in his team. As long as Naruto ends up with my Daughter I'm fine, I wouldn't even mind if he took her virginty and impregnated her soon afterwards. Because all that means is that I'm gonna have an even stronger Grandchild due to who said Grandchild's parents are gonna be' Hiashi thought through out the training. Strangely enough Hizashi was thinking something different while training with Neji.

'Hmm, I wonder who his opponent is to have him so riled up?

(With Sakura)

Sakura was doing her own training (Sakura is training herself since Kakashi is training Sasuke and she doesn't have a clan to train her) at Training Grounds 7.

Sakura was throwing Kunai at trees and also practicing her Jutsu. She would not back down from the Tournament she was gonna be part of. This could be her best chance to make Naruto fall in love with her, like she has him.

'Naruto always talks about how he likes strong girls/women, due to him being strong himself. And if that's the case, then I will be the strongest girl in this village. I know that he has the potential to become the strongest boy in this village. And when we grow up we'll be the strongest couple this village has ever seen.

(Back to Naruto)

Naruto went home and got some rest. when he woke up the next morning he decided to take it easy until the Tournament arrives (Meaning he's only gonna practice Taijutsu since it uses no Chakra, although there is one exception).

(The Tournament)

Naruto woke up, bolt upright and dashed through his closet looking for his clothes. When he got ready he made beeline for the front door

The Tournament started and everyone even Sasuke were at their seat waiting for their matches. The first match was called.

"Hinata Hyuga vs..."
