Chapter 5: The Tournament Begins
"Vs Sakura Haruno."
Both girls stood up and walked quietly from where they were sitting (They both already knew that they would fight each other due to the preliminary paper note).
Once they were standing mere inches away from each other Genma, the proctor called out
"Begin!"
Both girls immediately got into their stances then fought.
Sakura used as many quick Jutsu as fast as she could, knowing that if Hinata used her Byakugan, it was game over for her.
'Naruto-Kun is looking at both of us and so held me Hinata, you're my best friend of the same gender, but I won't let you take him away from me' thought Sakura.
'I see what you're doing Sakura, but your forgetting that my desire to be with Naruto is just as if not stronger than yours' thought Hinata.
Meanwhile, Naruto was looking down at both of them and couldn't help but wanna cheer for them both. So, he got up and exclaimed to the both of them "Give it your best you two!"

The fight was lasting a while untill finally, Hinata activated her Byakugan.

'Damn, well, it's now or never' Sakura thought. She put her hands into a familiar pose "Kage Bunshin No Jutsu!" She called out. And like that three other Sakuras came outta nowhere.
"Isn't that..." Hinata trailed off.
"Yeah, it's Naruto's favorite Jutsu. I learned this from watching Naruto fight" Sakura explained.
"Well it doesn't matter, Jūken!" Hinata called out and began to go after the real Sakura.
All three Sakuras stood their ground and cocked their fists back. As soon as Hinata's Jūken strike neared them, they all let out one chakra enhanced punch (Sakura learned this move from Naruto as well). The Jūken strike met the six Chakra enhanced punches.
There was a struggle and both sides were gnashing their teeth, until, Hinata smiled. She thrusted her arm forward, easily overpowered the six Chakra enhanced punches (Yes Hinata was holding back at first), and launched Sakura forward until a Jūken strike hit her in the chest, knocking Sakura out.
Genma knew that the match was over as soon as Sakura hit the ground and waved it off. "The winner is, Hinata Hyuga" He announced.
Everyone cheered and while they were, Naruto dropped down to the stadium and picked up Sakura, Bridal Style, and once he was done giving Hinata a thumbs up, carried Sakura over to the chair she was sitting on originally. Hinata of course got jealous of the attention that was being given to Sakura.

"Shino Aburame Vs Shikamaru Nara"
Both made their way to the stadium and began.
(After a bit of back and forth battling, Shikamaru and Shino both lost via Chakra Exhaustion).
The next match was called out.
"Naruto Uzumaki Vs Neji Hyuga"
Every Jonin attending started talking about how Naruto didn't stand a chance against Neji. Hinata however, heard exactly what almost every Jounin was saying about Naruto and couldn't help but sigh and say more to herself than anyone else
"If only they knew."
Tsume overhead this and asked Hinata what she meant by that. Once Hinata was done explaining, Tsume found herself smiling at the fact that the boy she wanted, was going to win.
Naruto and Neji decided that they should speak before the match officially begins. So Naruto spoke up
"Let's see whether or not our score will change for my favor or yours."
Neji nodded and said "Well let's see then."
Genma brought his hand down and said "Begin!"
Naruto immediately went for his famous hand signs and called out "Kage Bunshin No Jutsu!" And like that ten Narutos appeared out of nowhere and each were drawing Chakra into their fists.
At the same time that this was all happening Neji made his own sign and yelled out "Byakugan!" This was soon followed by a rush against all eleven Narutos while Neji yelled out "Jūken!"
Naruto of course drew out his fist and met the Jūken strike head on (Naruto knew that Neji would go for a Jūken strike and did this to honor Sakura since she lost to this same move).
Naruto was overpowering Neji for a bit, untill Neji brought out his other palm making it a total of two Jūken strikes and twenty two Chakra enhanced fists. Eventually the attacks cancelled each other out (Neji has been training harder than ever would have since he first lost to Naruto and every other loss just made him train harder).
Naruto was surprised by this, but didn't think too long about it. Naruto then rushed after Neji wih his hand s forming one sign that The Third Hokage knew all too well and yelled out"Katon: Karyu Endan!"
And just like that a giant Dragon made of fire rushed after Neji.
Neji saw this and yelled out "Hakkeshō Kaiten!"
It was a clash between both attacks and after a while both attacks dissipated. Both were a bit tired but not too much and decided the same thing.
"Lets end this in Taijutsu!" They yelled in unison.
Everyone except Hinata and Tsume was surprised by this and began thinking that Naruto was done for. However, they couldn't be farther from the truth.
Both Naruto and Neji were clashing head to head with about equal speeds (Neji was using the Hyuga Taijutsu). They were fighting with everything they had until Naruto managed to increase his speed with a simple smile and easily began overwhelming Neji.
Naruto managed to back Neji into a corner and then with one Chakra Enhanced punch ended the fight.
Everyone except Hinata and Tsume were shocked and speechless. Even Genma was, but he brought himself out of his stupir and announced "The winner is, Naruto Uzumaki."
Naruto walked over to Neji and offered him a hand. Neji of course took the offer and managed to get back up.
They both went to the stands and waited for the next bout.
Naruto got up from his seat and walked over to Sasuke knowing that he was up (Sasuke was just standing by the edge of the stadium the whole time). Once he got close to him he asked him mockingly
"Do you think your gonna need my help this time?"
"Laugh it up while you can, because I'm gonna win this thing" Sasuke replied.
"You sure?"
"I'm sure"
They bumped fists and Sasuke went down to the stadium to meet his opponent.
Sasuke stared at Gaara without speaking, untill Genma announced
"Begin."
Sasuke immediately rushed Gaara with speeds equal to Rock Lee and was throwing punch after punch at Gaara only for it to be blocked by the sand.
Gaara realized that now was not the time for jokes and so he brought out his hand and opened up his palm. he began launching many bursts of sand Sasuke's way. Sasuke was of course able to dodge them all and after a while called out his signature Jutsu.
"Goukakyuu No Jutsu!"
Gaara hid inside a sand dome he made and stayed there for a bit.
Sasuke realized that now was his best chance to use his new Jutsu. So he made his handsigns and yelled out "Chidori!" Suddenly lightning started cackling in his hand and he too this chance to rush into the giant sand dome and put a hole through it with the Chidori
After the attack landed, Gaara was psychotically talking to himself about the fact that he was bleeding.
"I bled, I bled, you made me bleed Sasuke Uchiha. You will pay dearly for that, with your life!"
Gaara began undergoing some type of transformation.
"Oh no!" Exclaimed both Temari and Kankuro.
After seeing what was happening to Gaara, The Fourth Kazekage revealed himself to be Orochimaru. This was immediately followed with a Genjutsu being placed on everyone present except Orochimaru and the allies.
Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Shino, and Hinata immediately caught on to what was happening and released the Genjutsu (Sakura was still knocked out).
Sasuke immediately began chasing Gaara. Naruto saw what was happening and began telling Shikamaru and Shino to wake everyone up from the Genjutsu and began following Sasuke with Hinata in tow.
Sasuke managed to pass through both Kankuro and Temari, but Naruto and Hinata didn't get off that free.
Hinata looked at Naruto and hastily said "You chase after Sasuke I'll deal with both of them."
Naruto flinched and just as hastily, asked Hinata "Are you sure, I can and will help you if you need me."
"No it's fine, after all, this time I won't need to hold back against her."
Both Kankuro and Temari were shocked to hear that Hinata held back against Temari in their fight and still won.
Naruto nodded and made a run after Sasuke.
Hinata looked at both her opponents and exclaimed "Bring it on!"
Both of the two immediately rushed Hinata yelled out
"Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō!" This one move alone was able to injure and knock both opponents to very distant trees.
Hinata then decided that she should end this a lot quicker and also decided that she wouldn't kill them. So she sent about three Jūken strikes each to each of their bodies (She targeted Chakra Points that would knock them out cold).
After this was done she went after Naruto.

Once Naruto managed to catch up to Sasuke, he noticed that Sasuke was on the ground and Gaara became half human half Sand. Gaara launched himself at Sasuke but was met with Naruto's Chakra enhanced fist.
Gaara stumbled back and asked Naruto one question "Why are helping him?"
"Because, he's my friend!" Naruto exclaimed.
Sasuke managed to overhear this and thought with a smile 'So it not just me, I leave him to you, Naruto' then drifted off to a deep sleep.
"What do you mean -friend- and why would you fight for them?" Gaara asked.
"Because, they save me every day, by just being my friend and saving me from becoming you" Naruto answered.
Gaara let out a demonic laugh and declared "Why would I need friends, if I can have all this power, fighting for myself!"
Gaara began throwing sand wave after sand wave at Naruto.
Naruto was able to dodge them all with ease but and soon began overwhelming Gaara with speed alone.
Gaara was getting hit left and right with punch after punch. He managed to get ahold of himself and block some of the punches with his sand, but was still after a bit of time overwhelmed by the sheer speed of Naruto.
Naruto after some time realized that Gaara's sand was hardening and decided to try to finish it before he grew any stronger. So Naruto drew his hand back, opened it, and began channeling Chakra into it, eventually forming a Rasengan. Naruto then yelled out
"Rasengan!"
Gaara brought his sand claw back And then slashed at Naruto. Gaara's sand claw and Naruto's Rasengan clashed and after a bit they cancelled each other out.
Both Naruto and Gaara were sent flying into distant trees, but soon, both got back up. Naruto was trying to keep his guard up since he was right in front of Sasuke, but Gaara took that as an opening to let Shukaku take over.
As soon as Naruto saw this he bit his thumb and thought 'I guess it's now or never.' Then called out
"Kuchiyose No Jutsu!"
But instead of Gamabunta, Gamkichi showed up. "Wait are you Gamakichi?"
"Yeah, What's it to you?" Gamakichi asked.
"You were the first Toad or Tadpole I should say, that I summoned."
"Oh, that was you?" Gamakichi genuinely asked.
"Alright I'm free!" Shukaku yelled out.
"Damn, we're gonna have to cut this meeting short. Is your dad gonna come out ot anything?" Naruto hastily asked.
"I was only summoned here because you barely used enough Chakra to do that' Gamkichi explained.
Naruto face palmed and thought 'I was so focused on Sasuke and Gaara that I forgot about using the right amount of Chakra.' Naruto's thoughts were interrupted as he saw Shukaku raise an arm and bring it down. Naruto grabbed Gamakichi and Sasuke then jumped quickly to a different spot.
After placing both Sasuke and Gamakichi down he tried again "Kuchiyose No Jutsu!"
This time was a success and Gamabunta was summoned.
"What do you want kid?" Asked the chief Toad Naruto just pointed and Gamabunta said "A Tailed beast, you're kidding me right?"
Naruto shook his head and explained "I know that this seems like too much for you, but you're the only hope I've got."
"I don't know, this would just be suicide. He gets stronger every second, due to the fact that every second that kid is asleep, Shukaku become more and more free."
"If that's the case then we cant waste anymore time."

And the clash happened,

Naruto didn't waste anytime and immediately brought out his fist and punched Gaara straight in the face. This action woke up Gaara and Gamabunta dispersed along with Gamkichi.

Gaara began to understand what Naruto was saying and stuck out his own fist. They both bumped fists and that's when Temari, Kankuro, and Hinata showed up.
Temari and Kankuro held up their Kunai whilst Hinata got into her stance. However, both Naruto and Gaara held their hand sideways, signaling them to stop.
Kankuro and Temari reluctantly agreed, grabbed Gaara, and took off. while they were carrying him Gaara muttered two words

"We should check up on Sasuke."

"You should get some rest then, due to your condition with Chakra Exhaustion."
Sasuke was going to retort but quickly fell back into his slumber.

"Well, you won Hinata. That's all that really matters in the end isn't it?" Sakura said and then ran off sobbing into her hands.
Hinata had her head downcast and was very sad about the impact that her new relationship with Naruto was having on her Best Female Friend. But then she decided that there was nothing she could do without Naruto there to help her, so she left the stadium as well.
