Chapter 9: A Saviour's Heart

Naruto was chasing The Sound Four all by himself.

'I can't let them get away, if I had waited they'd already have been long gone by then!' Naruto thought.

Naruto was trying to go slow enough to keep up with the footprints. If he lost the footprints it was all over and he knew that.

Naruto thought that he was going a miss guided direction, until he saw some right in front of him.

"Orochimaru!" Naruto yelled loudly.

Orochimaru smiled and said

"This is the end of the road for you, Nine Tails!" and without another word he brought out his poison tipped Kusanagi and pierced through Naruto's heart.

(Real World)

"Ahhhh!" Naruto yelled as he awoke from a deep sleep. He looked around and realized where he was "Why am I in the hospital? And why don't I have my sweater on?"

"You were knocked out cold last night, we only barely found you. We had to take off your weights and sweater in order to carry you here." answered Shikamaru.

Naruto made a sudden realization and yelled out

"Where's Sasuke!?"

"Calm down Naruto-Kun, your okay, and we don't know where Sasuke is" Ino said in order to console Naruto.

'Did she just now not use Kun when describing Sasuke? Either way, a major fangirl is still a major fangirl' Naruto thought. Naruto began thinking about the actions of last night and then he remembered everything. Naruto bolted upright and dashed straight for the door, only to be stopped by Ino.

"Hold on Naruto-Kun, you haven't told us what happened to you yet. We were worried when we found you unconscious in the park. Actually... I was worried when I found you unconscious in the park" Ino said while holding onto Naruto's hand.

(Flashback, Last Night)

Ino was walking through the streets of Konoha, looking for Hinata and Tsume.

'The sooner I find them, the sooner I can ask them for permission to share Naruto-Kun. And I'm so glad that Sakura is willing to help me win Naruto's heart if Hinata and Tsume agree' Ino thought.

Ino was scared but also happy, and how couldn't she be, there was a chance that the boy she loves could be hers after all.

'But in the end, it all does matter upon Naruto's choice, but I swear that one day he will be mine!' Ino inwardly yelled. She continued walking through the streets when a strange noise drew her attention. "What was that?" After saying this, Ino decided to walk in order to get closer to the strange sound.

She was walking without a care in the world towards the sound that she heard. But then she saw what immediately changed her attitude. She saw -HER- Naruto-Kun knocked out on the ground of the park.

"NARUTO-KUN" Ino screamed before rushing over and picking Naruto up by the back of his head. She had Naruto's head pressed against her breasts while she was crying and praying for him to be alright.

Ino's tears were falling uncontrollably and harshly, as well as on Naruto's face. She thought the worst possible outcome and ended up bringing Naruto's head closer to her face. She looked at his shut eyes and whispered

"I love you" then she kissed his forehead (The headband was off once he hit the ground). Naruto's eyes began to slightly open up and that's when Ino got happy. "NARUTO-KUN, YOU'RE ALIVE!" She immediately brought his head against her chest again and after a little while he was unconscious (Due to lack of oxygen) again.

Ino realized what she had to do, but realized she wasn't strong enough to hold Naruto (She weighed 85 lbs. Naruto also had his one ton in total weights on). So instead she decided to yell for help and after a bit Shikamaru showed up. With his help, they were able to carry Naruto to the Konoha Hospital (They decided to work together to take off his orange sweater, mesh shirt, and weights before carrying him).

(Present Day)

"Let go Ino, I need to find Sasuke! If I'm quick enough I can still find him, so let go!" Naruto yelled (Naruto couldn't feel either of his hands or arms at the moment, which is why he hasn't just shoved Ino outta the way).

Ino felt sad, and how couldn't she, the boy she loves just yelled at her. So she let go of his arm and instead went in for a full and tight hug. She was sobbing into his back and said "Naruto-Kun, please dont go, and please inform me about what happened. I don't wanna see you so badly hurt."

Naruto felt a bit bad himself for making Ino cry, but he was able to quickly shake it off after thinking about how she would do the same thing to him back in the Academy days. He managed to gather enough strength to pry Ino's arms away from him, turned around, and told her

"Leave me alone! If it was so easy for you to get over Sasuke like you claimed, then it should be just as easily to get over me and leave me alone! And while you do, I'm gonna be busy saving my Best Friend!" Naruto then turned back and started walking outta the room.

"Do you even know where you're going?!" Shikamaru shouted.

"A bit" Naruto turned his head and answered.

"What do you mean?" Shikamaru questioned.

"I know that Sasuke was taken by Orochimaru's goons and I also know where, but I don't know if there are gonna be enough foot prints to lead me there" Naruto explained.

"If that's so, then why don't you bring some of us with you for support?" Shikamaru asked.

"I don't have time and I'm strong enough alone" Naruto answered before realizing he couldn't waste another second and took off (He grabebd his weights on the way and put them on).

"Damn, well we should inform La..." Shikamaru trailed off as he noticed that Ino was in the corner of the room in a fetal position. 'Wow, she must be serious about Naruto, if his words were able to cripple her this bad.'

(With Naruto)

Naruto arrived at the Training Grounds where Sasuke was abducted. and looked around for any footprints.

'Come on, they've gotta be here!' Naruto inwardly yelled. 'There it is!'

Naruto spotted the foot prints he was looking for and decided to take off with his weights still on.

'If I'm able to find them quick enough I might be able to to take all of them down. Assuming that someone stronger than Gon doesn't show up, which I highly doubt' Naruto thought.

(With Shikamaru)

Shikamaru got to Tsunade and began informing her about everything (He was alone because he didn't wanna waste time on Ino, since it was too troublesome). Once he got done explaining to Tsunade what happened, she sighed and told Shikamaru

"Chase after him and inform me about everything that goes down."

"Shouldn't I recruit some other's?" Shikamaru asked.

"I will, though I doubt that he will need it"

"Why's that?"

"The Gaki defeated Orochimaru's strongest Cursed Seal Warrior. This was while he himself was exhausted and was also quite a while ago, meaning he's even stronger than before. So I doubt he would actually need help against some goons of Orochimaru, especially in peak health" Tsunade explained.

"That must be when he saved Ino" Shikamaru whispered.

"I'm sorry what?" Tsunade asked.

"Nothing, I'll get to it" Shikamaru said before taking off. 'This is gonna be troublesome isn't it?'

(Back With Naruto)

Naruto was jumping from tree to tree trying to get to Sasuke before anything bad could happen.

'I can't give up now or later, I will save my best friend!' Naruto yelled inwardly.

After a bit more tree hoping, Naruto arrived at a clearing and in the clearing was

"A big orange haired fatso!" Naruto yelled before cocking his fist back and thrusting said fist forward, instantly slicing the fat man in half.

Naruto just advanced without stopping even after killing Jirōbō, since he had no time to waste and obviously wasn't going to stop and mourn for an evil guy. Naruto didn't even notice the angry look Jirōbō had on his face seconds before he died.

'Alright I must be going the right way if that fatso was blocking my path" Naruto thought as he was advancing. 'Better pick up the speed' Naruto immediately began going faster than before in order to catch up with Sasuke.

'Another one?' Naruto inwardly complained. Naruto repeated the same process as with the fat guy and it worked. He advanced futher without stopping ' With that outta the way that means I killed both the fatso and two face.'

Naruto was seemingly not stopping for anything and knew that this wouldn't stop until he retrieved Sasuke.

'Okay I think all that's left is the redhead girl and spider legs?" Narito wondered. He began moving even faster and after a few seconds, there they were. 'And both that I was just thinking about.'

Both Tayuya and Kidōmaru stepped back out of fear, knowing that this boy just toyes with all four of them hours earlier, and just killed two of them. They both looked at the jar that the Uchiha is in and thought

'Damn, if only he came a bit later!'

Both got into their fighting positions and charged forward.

Naruto decided to toy with them both like last time and it seemed as though it would be easier, since it was just two of them now. And easier it definitely was, but after a while, Naruto realized the jar and that Sasuke was nowhere to be found. He put two and two together, grabbed both Tayuya and Kidōmaru by the throat, and lifted them above the ground.

"I'm taking Sasuke back and there's not a damn thing you can do about it!" Naruto growled.

Then all three of them were caught off guard by both a large boom and fog that enveloped the room.

"What the hell?!" Naruto yelled.

"It's complete!" Tayuya and Kidōmaru exclaimed.

The fog cleared up and underneath it all was Sasuke. Sasuke was breathing heavily and said

"Well, I do feel stronger."

"Sasuke we're going back, follow me" Naruto ordered.

Sasuke however, turned around, laughed loudly, and said

"I'm not going anywhere!"

"Sasuke, don't make me hurt you" was Naruto's reply.

"As if you ever could now!" Sasuke shouted.

"You've never beat me before, but I know what's gotten to your head. The Curse Seal is manipulating you into acting this way, thirsty for power and inflicting pain."

"It's different now and there is not a damn thing different about me" Sasuke said with venom.

"Fine. Bring it on!" Naruto said while bringing his hands up.

"Sure thing" Sasuke said before signaling for Tayuya and Kidōmaru to form a line in front of him. They did just that and Sasuke said "But it will have to be the three of us."

Naruto noticed something about the two in front of him before the fight started. 'Their Curse Marks, they look dimmer, why?' He thought.

As if to reading his mind, Sasuke said "All of their Curse Marks are dimmer because of me."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Naruto asked.

"Allow me to explain" said an unheard voice which jumped down to meet the others.

"Kimimaro, you're here" Tayuya said in surprise. Receiving no answer, she yelled out "Answer me shit head!"

Kimimaro seemingly ignored Tayuya and focused his attention onto Naruto, then said "In order to answer your question, Naruto Uzumaki. All the curse seals that were on the necks of the people you fought the other night were Semi transplanted into Sasuke's own Curse Mark."

"It doesn't matter, I easily beat all four of them so I doubt just that will be enough to beat me" Naruto said.

"You would be correct, if it was just theirs" Kimimaro continued.

Naruto arched an eyebrow and asked

"What do you mean? Who else?"

"Mine which is The Third strongest, and another man, you may know him as Gon Hyo The Second strongest" Kimimaro answered.

"Wait, Gon's seal wasn't the strongest!?" Naruto yelled in surprise.

"Nope, Sasuke's is and mine is the Third. So he has my strength, Gon's strength, and more." Kimimaro said.

'If this guy was second to Gon then he must've been crazy strong with his Seal. I need to beat Sasuke now before he goes to Orochimaru and become even stronger and less stable!' Naruto inwardly yelled.

"Attack!" Sasuke yelled.

And as told, Tayuya, Kidōmaru, and Kimimaro all tried to attack Naruto.

Naruto didn't wanna kill Sasuke and instead figured maybe if he convinced Sasuke to come back without killing either of The Three Curse Seal Warriors, that all would be good. So he tried.

"Sasuke, just come closer and let me talk with you! We can work this out! I can help you with your training! You don't need Orochimaru!"

Sasuke was simply smiling while watching Naruto dodge all the blows that were thrown by these three foes.

'This is gonna be fun to watch' Sasuke thought.

(With Shikamaru)

Shikamaru was trying his best to get to wherever he could from following the trail of footsteps from Training Grounds 7.

'Since I'm obviously not as fast as Naruto following these footprints is seemingly useless. But even so, I was ordered to by The New Hokage.' Shikamaru inwardly told himself. "Damn, where are you Naruto!?"

"I know how you feel" said a voice close by.

Shikamaru turned his head, gasped, and said

"Ino, what the hell are you doing here!?"

"I followed Naruto-Kun the moment he left the room. I was crying for quite a bit before he left, but once he did I got my act together and chased him."

"Then how are you... Oh" Shikamaru said with a surprised face.

"Yep, you are currently seeing a Kage Bunshin. Once I make Naruto-Kun mine, I'll show The Kage Bunshin to him in order to impress him" Ino Clone proudly said.

"How do you know that?" Shikamaru asked.

"Sakura taught me, she said that since this was Naruto-Kun's signature move, maybe he'll notice me more with this"

"Wait she's fine with you loving him as well?"

"Well she is, but I still need to speak to the other two women."

"Hinata and who else?"

"Tsume Inuzuka."

Shikamaru's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates and he yelled out

"What!?"

(Back With Naruto)

Naruto was still dodging the attacks from The Three Warriors and taking random looks at Sasuke. He then yelled out

"Sasuke, I know you can hear me, find your inner self cuz this isn't you! I won't lay one finger on any of these guys just so you know that it's really me! Fight, The Curse Seal Sasuke, you must!"

"Why would I fight something that I want? Power is what I wanted and if going with Orochimaru will give me that then so be it!" Sasuke yelled.

Without any warning Naruto cocked his fist back and drove it through the chest of Kidōmaru, killing him instantly.

"Let that be a warning Sasuke! In order for you to see that if it comes down to it, I will kill you!" Naruto yelled.

"You think killing some weaklings is gonna scare me!? I'd you really do then you're wrong! Kill them all if you want, I don't care!" Sasuke yelled.

Naruto grit his teeth, he didn't wanna take anymore lives than he already has. However, Kimimaro decided to tell Naruto one other thing.

"Just so you know, when any of us Curse Seal Warriors die, our Curse Seal is immediate transported into Sasuke's entirely."

Naruto figured that somehow The Curse Seals were going to be entirely given to Sasuke, but not right now. He realized that if he killed Kimimaro that he would stand little chance against Sasuke in his Curse Seal Form (Tayuya was fodder to him so he didn't care about her Curse Seal as much as he did Kimimaro).

Kimimaro saw Naruto's frustrated look, noticed that he was lost in action, and decided that now was as good a time as ever to activate his Seal. So he gave Tayuya the signal and both did just that.

Naruto jumped back at the sight of these two.

"Damn!" Naruto yelled

"It's no use Naruto, you're outmatched it's Three on One" Sasuke said.

'I know Sasuke wants to kill me because of that Curse Seal. Knowing him, he probably wants to do it alone. So I can't afford to use so much Chakra before fighting him' Naruto hastily thought. "Guess I'ma have to lose em."

This sentence confused all three opponents, until they saw Naruto take off the mesh shirt he was wearing, showing his three weights. Sasuke realized what Naruto was about to do and quickly yelled out

"Get him before he takes them off!"

He was too late however, as Naruto's weights were off seconds before he finished speaking, destroying the ground in the process.

Naruto looked at them all with a smile on his face. He rushed after Sasuke, completely forgetting about the other two.

However, that's when Sasuke's Sharingan grew an extra Tomoe (Now Sasuke has all three Tomoe).

'I can see his movements, they've become so clear' Sasuke thought.

Once Naruto reached Sasuke, Sasuke cocked a fist back and punched him in the jaw. Naruto was hurt a bit but not too much, so he simply powered through the pain by punching Sasuke in the nose.

Sasuke didn't take this hit as well as Naruto did and was instead pushed far back.

Naruto smiled and said

"I didn't think that starting slow would result in you unlocking your third Tomoe."

Sasuke gasped and shouted

"You were going slow!?"

"Of course, I can't accidentally kill a friend can I? Idiot" Naruto answered. "But now that you have Three Tomoe, lets see how well you handle... This!""

Naruto then charged at Sasuke, as fast as he could, poor Sasuke didn't even get the chance to activate his Curse Seal because of how large the speed and power gap is. Before any of the four of them knew it, Sasuke was down on the ground. Sasuke was gasping for air, and struggling to get back to his feet.

Naruto being the naive and trusting dobe he is, reached for Sasuke's hand with his own.

Sasuke saw this and decided to take advantage of it. He immediately activated his Stage 1 Form, then punched Naruto in the face.

This punch was different from the first, because it actually hurt a lot. Naruto stumbled back and looked at Sasuke.

"I guess I don't really have any better choice then to fight you all alone, do I?" Naruto questioned.

"Yes you do Naruto-Kun!" Yelled Ino.

Naruto turned back and once he spotted Ino. Naruto worriedly shouted

"Go away, you'll only get in my way, you're to weak to fight against any of these guys!"

"He's right you know, but its too late" said Kimimaro.

'Damn it! Why couldn't it have been Sakura, Hinata, or Neji!? None of the other Genin would stand a chance against these two!" Naruto inwardly yelled. 'Either way, I need to save her.'

So Naruto ran in front of Ino, then spreaded his arms apart, covering her.

"Ino, please I'm begging you, run away. I don't want you to get hurt or worse die" Naruto assured her through a shaky voice.

"Naruto-Kun, you do care" Ino said while blushing and whimpering at the genuineness of his words that she could hear through his voice.

"Aww, look at the shit head, trying to save his own weakling of a savior" Tayuya smugly said.

"Hey, watch what you call him" Ino shouted.

"Or what blondie?" Tayuya asked.

Without anymore words, Ino backed up in order to get away from Naruto, then she rushed after Tayuya.

Naruto was getting worried and ran to go get her, but was stopped by Sasuke.

'Damn, I was gonna be outnumbered either way' Naruto thought. He grabbed Sasuke and Kimimaro then ran over to an isolated area. "I'm counting on you! Please survive and fight safe! " Was all Naruto said before taking off.

Ino vs Tayuya: Round One

Tayuya smirked and decided to toy with Ino, like how Naruto toyed with her. So she did.

Ino was trying her hardest to punch Tayuya, but she just kept dodging every single blow like it was nothing.

'Damn I haven't had much of a chance to train ever since Naruto saved me! But maybe this will work' Ino thought. She then brought her hands together and called out "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

Another Ino appeared outta nowhere and helped the original.

"That's it?" Tayuya scoffed. She punched the clone making it disperse, then just continued to dodge all of Ino's attacks like they were nothing.

'My best shot is to hit her with my Shintenshin No Jutsu. But with how fast she is, I doubt that I will be able to land it alone' Ino thought as she was continuing with her flurry of punches.

Tayuya realized something and asked Ino

"You're a Yamanaka aren't you?"

Ino was caught off guard by the question and asked Tayuya

"How do you know that?"

"Lord Orochimaru knows a lot of things" Tayuya answered.

Once Tayuya herself got a bit farther back, she told Ino

"Lets see how strong you really are. Hit me with your Shintenshin No Jutsu!"

'Is this a trap, no it can't be since Naruto-Kun already took both Sasuke and the other guy with him. She must have a death wish" Ino wondered. "Alright, I'll grant your wish." Then after making the necessary handsigns she called out "Shintenshin No Jutsu!"

Tayuya was about to take the attack head on and was smiling.

Ino was shocked by this but didn't let it get to her. And once the hit did connect, Ino was confident that it succeeded. Only to find out that it didn't. Tayuya broke out of the Jutsu and grinned evily.

"Is that really all you have? How pitiful, especially for The Yamanaka Heiress" Tayuya informed.

Ino was speechless, her strongest attack hir dead on but had no effect. She gnashed her teeth together and thought

'I'm sorry Naruto-Kun, I'm to weak to beat her. You were right, I should've just ran when I had the chance instead of staying and getting in your way.'

Tayuya got close to Ino, then brought out her flute and yelled

"Let me show you some real power, you blonde weakling!" After saying this, Tayuya made some handsigns then yelled out "Kuchiyose No Jutsu!" Instantly three large figures towered behind her. Then Tayuya brought out her flute, said "Die." And then the three giants charged forward.

'Damn it, I'm sorry Naruto-Kun it looks like this is it for me' Ino thought while paralyzed in fear.

"Ahhh!" Was all Ino heard before Kimimaro was sent flying and crashing into Tayuya.

"One down two to go" said Naruto as he was walking closer to Ino.

"Naruto-Kun!" Ino shouted before rushing over to Naruto and hugging him.

Naruto was going to push her away but saw the tears that were flowing through her eyes and decided otherwise.

"Naruto-Kun, I was so scared that I was gonna die, I'm sorry I'm so weak" Ino sobbed into Naruto's neck.

"It's okay Ino, I'm just glad your alright" said Naruto. "You know, you're kinda cute."

After hearing this Ino's head perked up.

"W-what?!" She asked desperately.

Naruto decided that instead of answering her question with words, he would give her a kiss on the cheek. This effectively made her blush a deep crimson red.

"I'll tell you what Ino, if you manage to survive against her, I'll go out with you" Naruto persuaded. 'Hopefully, with this goal in mind she will survive. I can't lose a friend, no matter how badly she may have treated me in the past. I just pray that both my Himes can forgive me.'

"Deal!" Ino responded while nodding her head up and down vigorously. "Oh, and if I beat her, you have to sleep with me" Ino winked at the end.

'What is it with these girls and sex? Actually, what right do I have to think that?' Naruto thought. "You've got it."

"So... Can I have a kiss for good luck?" Ino asked while pointing to her lips.

"Sure" Naruto then bent down a bit to kiss her in the lips (Naruto was 5'3 Ino was 4'9). "Got get her, Ino-Hime."

"Anything for you Naruto-Kun" said Ino happily.

"I have bigger fish to fry" said Naruto while cracking his knuckles and staring Sasuke down.

Without exchanging words, Naruto once again grabbed Sasuke and took him to somewhere else, isolated.

Meanwhile, Ino was staring down Tayuya as she was getting back up from having Kimimaro's dead body thrown at her.

"Bring it on" said Ino.

"With pleasure" said Tayuya.

Ino vs Tayuya: Round Two

Ino rushed forward, but this time with reason.

Tayuya didn't see reason though and instead just kept toying with Ino. Ino knew this was bound to happen so she brought out a Kunai and threw it at Tayuya.

'Shit, that was close!' Tayuya thought (Tayuya has not used her Curse Seal).

Ino smirked at how close she came to hitting Tayuya and thought 'Now I know what to do.'

Ino once again threw punches and kicks at Tayuya which were taken the same way as before. With Tayuya toying with her and were were dealt with the same way as before, with Ino throwing Kunai and sometimes Shuriken. This kept happening about Fifteen times, with Ino landing Thirteen of the weapons onto Tayuya..

Eventually, Tayuya stepped far back and said "Oh I see what you're doing, you're taking advantage of every moment where I get cocky."

Ino didn't respond and instead reached for another Kunai, but instead of throwing it, she held onto it tightly (Because she knew what was coming).

Tayuya laughed demonically and activated Curse Mark Stage One.

"Let's see what you can really do" Tayuya smugly said.

"Well bring it on!" Ino yelled.

Tayuya was the first one to make a move this time though. She brought out her flute and started playing it which made the giants behind her that were on the ground, stand up. They then charged forward.

Ino of course, was expecting this. She stayed rooted to the ground and waited for the giants to attack. Once Ino heard Tayuya play the flute again, she rushed forward. She passed both the giants and appeared right in front of a distracted Tayuya who had her eyes closed and wasn't paying attention due to playing the flute. Ino took this chance to drive a Chakra Enhanced Kunai straight through Tayuya's throat, killing her instantly (Her hands were enhanced with Chakra and she used the power from the Chakra to drive the Kunai through Tayuya's throat. Ino learned this from Sakura).

Ino fell back. She was a bit horrified that she actually murdered someone, but shook it off. She was exhausted and needed some rest.

'Good thing *Pant* Naruto-Kun *Pant* didn't see me "Pant* use either *Pant* The Kage Bunshin or Chakra Enhancement (She heard from Sakura that Naruto likes strong girls, so she wanted to show him these moves in order to impress him)" Ino tiredly said before falling into a deep sleep.

Little did Ino know, some people got there immediately as soon as she was fast asleep.

"This is the blonde Konoha girl from The Chunin Exams?" asked Gaara.

"Yup, and from the looks of it, looks like she manged to kill one of Orochimaru's warriors " said Shikamaru. "It's a good thing she did, it would've been too troublesome for me to do."

"Well then, I hate to disappoint" said Kimimaro as he struggled to get back to his feet.

"Leave him to me" said Gaara. "It seems he's already extremely beaten up and exhausted, so I doubt this will last very long."

"How about now!" said Kimimaro as he entered his Second Curse Seal Stage.

Gaara brought his left hand up and called out "Sabaku Kyū!"

Kimimaro was immediately engulfed in sand that covered his entire body, while also lifting him up in the sky (Gaara began to train really hard ever since he was easily beaten by his first and best friend, Naruto. He did this in order to be able to protect Naruto or anyone else when the time came) and then with one hard squeeze, Gaara called out "Sabaku Sōsō!"

Kimimaro was soundly beaten and killed (Kimimaro is half as strong as he would've been, exhausted, half dead already, and Gaara is stronger).

"I suggest you set her down right in front of me" said Gaara.

"Why?" Shikamaru asked.

"Because he can fly her over to the hospital with his sand" Temari answered while walking closer to them.

"Oh, he can, can he" Said Shikamaru.

"Yes he can" said Kankuro while also walking closer to them.
