Chapter 1: Welcome to Chaotic
Hey everyone I'm back with a new story. Now this was a very popular request by people and it took a lot of figuring out but I think I got it. I give you the first ever Kingdom Hearts and Chaotic crossover. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
It had been 6 months since Sora had stopped Master Xehanort's plans and saved everyone from the darkness, and things were getting peaceful and many were enjoying it, but in Twilight Town, one former nobody was sitting on the clock tower eating a Sea Salt Ice cream, this was Roxas, Sora's Nobody.
While Roxas had enjoyed the peace and quiet, he couldn't help but feel the old itch for adventure and excitement.
Finishing his ice cream, Roxas looks out at the sunset and sighs.
"Been a year already. Maybe it's time to start looking for something to do." Roxas said standing up and started walking through the streets where a small stand was set up.
"Hello there young man." A voice said getting his attention.
Turning around Roxas saw a man with black hair running the small stand of trinkets.
"Hi there." Roxas said not sure what was going on.
"Would you like to have a look around at my wares? Maybe something will interest you?" He asks.
Looking down Roxas saw a bunch of antiques and old boring stuff.
"Uh thanks but I don't think you have anything I want." Roxas said.
"I see it in your eyes, you want adventure, don't you?" The man asks surprising him.
"How did you?" Roxas asks.
"I've heard the legends of your Keyblade. It is an amazing weapon but to see something truly amazing you'll need this." The man said opening a small box to reveal a blue phone like device in it.
"Uh what is that?" Roxas asks.
"It's a called a scanner and it's your ticket to an amazing place not many know about. Interested?" He asks.
"I guess. What do I need to do?" Roxas asks.
"First you need a screen name. A new name for you to use this scanner." The man said.
"Screen name? What's wrong with my name?" Roxas asks.
"Trust me on this." The man said.
"Uh Twilight something." Roxas said looking around Twilight Town.
"How about TwilightKing?" The man offers.
"Me? A king?" Roxas raised an eyebrow. "Whatever."
"Perfect." The man said plugging the screen name. "Now click the button."
As the man held it out to him, Roxas clicked the button and paused waiting for something but nothing happened.
"Uh sir, I think your scanner is busted." Roxas said clicking it again.
"I see…well how about you hold onto it and come back to me when you figure it out." The man said.
"This better not be a scam." Roxas said taking the scanner and walking away.
Little did Roxas know it was the furthest thing from a scam.
The second he touched the button, Roxas found himself inside a large high tech area.
"Whoa? What the heck?" Roxas said looking around. "Where the heck am I?"
On the platform behind, another figure teleported in. This was a teenage girl with bright red-orange hair, a blue jacket, a pink t-shirt and jeans. This was Erika Chiba.
"Huh?" Erika looks to see Roxas totally overwhelmed at what he was seeing causing her to chuckle. "Looks like another first-timer."
As she walked towards him Roxas paused to consider this situation. 'That man was up to something. He knew about my keyblade and I bet he sent me here to deal with me.'
"Hey you okay?" Erika asks grabbing his shoulder alerting Roxas.
Turning around Roxas grabs Erika and pins her to the wall.
"Who are you?! Where am I?! What's going on?!" Roxas asks.
"Whoa buddy chill. Let's not do anything crazy." Erika said when she noticed Roxas started to loosen his grip.
Using this she breaks out of Roxas' hold and pins him to the wall instead.
"Whoa you're good." Roxas said surprised.
"Yes I am." She smirks before letting go. "Anyway sorry about that, but you attacked first."
"Sorry, this is a little crazy. Where am I?" Roxas asks.
"This is Chaotic." Erika smiles gesturing around.
Looking around Roxas saw many other people sitting around, eating and talking.
"Pretty cool huh?" Erika asks.
"Yeah uh sorry about earlier. I was a little freaked out." Roxas said.
"It's cool. I gotta say you're pretty tough. I'm Erika." She said holding out her hand.
"Uh Roxas…you're not gonna pin me to the wall again, are you?" Roxas asks.
"Not this time." Erika smiles.
Slowly Roxas reached out and shook it.
"TwilightKing, your first match is in a half hour at the Imthor Drome." A robot said flying over to him.
"My what?" Roxas asks.
"Your first Chaotic match." Erika said but Roxas looked at her confused. "See your scanner. It's got all your cards in it."
"It does?" Roxas asks taking it out.
"Here how about as an apology for earlier I help you get ready." Erika said.
"That would be a lot of help." Roxas nods.
"Follow me TwilightKing, LadyMuge is about to give you a lesson in battle." Erika said.
"LadyMuge?" Roxas asks.
"My Chaotic screenname. Come on." Erika said holding up her scanner and leading him away.
A half hour later, Erika led Roxas towards the Imthor drome.
"And finally there are 7 dromes here, each one is run by a Codemaster. You can battle in any one of them." Erika explains.
"Wow this is a lot to take in." Roxas said.
"I have to say I'm a little surprised. You act like you've never played Chaotic before. Did you stop playing for a while or something?" Erika guesses.
"Uh yeah something like that." Roxas said as they arrive at the drome.
"Well good luck. I'm rooting for you." Erika said.
"Thanks." Roxas said walking inside. "Uh hello?"
Suddenly a light shines down on him and a program appeared.
"Welcome TwilightKing, please step forward and dock your scanner." It said as Roxas put it inside and a board appeared in front of him.
"Pretty cool huh?" A voice asks.
Roxas looks to see a teenage boy with long blonde hair, a white shirt with a dog tag around his neck and a denim jacket. This was Joey Wheeler.
"You new here?" Joey asks.
"Is it that obvious?" Roxas asks.
"A little bit, but watch out. I'm not gonna hold back on you just because you are a noob." Joey smirks.
"DesertUnderdog, dock your scanner." The computer said as Joey put in his scanner.
"Thanks." Roxas narrows his eyes.
"Hey don't let him get inside your head." Erika's voice said coming from somewhere.
"Huh?" Roxas said looking around.
"Down here, on your scanner." Erika said as Roxas looked down to see her face. "Keep calm Roxas. Now pick one creature, battlegear and one mugic."
"Alright let's see what I got." Roxas said clicking around looking for a good one. "Whoa, this guy looks like a real fighter." Roxas looks at the image of a lion warrior creature. "Tangath Toborn…I'll use him."
"Nice choice." Erika said as Roxas scrolled through the battlegear.
'Hmm I wish I could use my keyblades, but this Sword of Khy'at could be a close second.' Roxas thought picking that and for Mugic.
"Now Mugic are the tricky part. But here's a tip, Joey likes to use Mipedians and they like to use wind or fire attacks." Erika hints.
"Hmm this one could help." Roxas said picking a mugic.
"Now pick 10 locations and put them in the randomizer." Erika said as Roxas looked at the fields.
'Hmm they certainly aren't any worlds I've been to.' Roxas thought picking 10.
"Players lock your decks." The computer said.
"That's my cue. Good luck." Erika said hanging up.
Roxas clicks his scanner and on Joey's field a card of a lizard creature appears.
"Oh so you like Overworlders, huh?" Joey smirks. "Tough luck pal. I've beaten a ton of them with my buddy Biondu."
"TwilightKing, since this is your first time here you will be the attacker. Spin your Location Randomizer." It said.
Looking to the randomizer, Roxas spun it until the location stopped. "The Location, Ravanaugh Ridge."
"A mountain area, nice." Roxas said feeling more confident.
"Now choose you attacking creature and target."
"Tangath Toborn attacks Biondu." Roxas said.
"Touch your card." It orders.
Reaching out Roxas touches the card causing his arm to glow before it engulfed his entire body. When it disappeared, Roxas looked in shock to see he had turned into Tangath Toborn.
"What the heck?" Tangath Toborn gasps.
"Pretty cool huh?" Joey asks touching his image and turning into Biondu. "You ain't seen nothing yet."
Appearing in Ravanaugh Ridge, Tangath Toborn was walking along the mountain trail.
"I've been to a lot of places before, but never like this." Tangath Toborn said examining his new body.
Up above on the higher cliffs, Binodu appeared and looked down at his enemy.
"Gotcha." Biondu grins as a ball of fire appeared in his hands. "Flame Orb!"
Looking up, Tangath Tobron gasps seeing the fireball fly towards him.
Acting quickly he runs out of the way as more came raining down on him.
Making his way to a clearing, Tangath Toborn sees Biondu looking down at him.
'Okay Erika told me that each monster can do certain attacks. Tangath has Fire and Earth elements so that means.' Roxas thought.
"Iron Balls!" From his eyes, Tangath blasts balls of iron knocking Biondu off the ledge but catches himself and lands across from him.
"Not bad newbie, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Wind Slash!" Biondu said firing a blade of air at Tangath Toborn knocking him back.
In Chaotic, Erika and a few other players were watching as Joey was knocking Roxas back towards the edge of the cliff.
"Come on Roxas fight back." Erika said.
Back in the arena, Tangath Toborn leaps back and lands right on the edge.
"Time to bring the heat. Inferno Gust!" Biondu said firing a tornado of fire knocking Tangath off the cliff and crashing down in pain losing a ton of energy.
Groaning in pain, Tangath Toborn is slow to get up. 'Alright, clearly fighting like a creature isn't enough. Time to put a personal touch on this.'
As Biondu appears in front of him, he grins. "Flame Orb!"
Growling, Tangath Tobron summons his Sword of Khy'at and slashes the Flame Orb in half surprising him.
"You like playing with fire? My buddy Lea brings more fire than you ever could! And so can I!" Tangath Toborn roars as flames erupted from his sword.
"Uh oh." Binodu said as Tangath Toborn charges in swinging his sword.
Binodu leaps onto the upper levels trying to avoid him but Tangath is hot on his trail. Leaping up Tangath slams his sword down knocking Biondu back smashing into the wall.
"I could get used to this." Tangath Toborn smiles.
As Biondu groans in pain he saw Tangath fire his own Flame Orb making him jump out of the way.
"Alright newbie, you got skills I just hope you equipped a Spectral Viewer." Biondu said before turning invisible surprising him.
"What the?" Tangath gasps as he was blasted backwards by a wind attack.
"Oh no I forgot to tell Roxas that Mipedians can turn invisible." Erika cringed.
Reappearing behind him, Tangath Tobron swings his sword but Biondu dodges and kicks the sword out of his hand and stabs into the mountainside.
"Sorry dude, I'm not falling for that twice." Biondu said.
"Flame Orb!" Tangath Toborn said firing his attack but Biondu turns invisible to dodge it.
'This guy attacks like a Veil Lizard.' Roxas thought before remembering how he beat that sneaky heartless.
Taking a deep breath, Tangath Toborn closed his eyes before tightening his fist when he suddenly heard some rocks move.
"Rock Wave!" Tangath Toborn slams his fist into the ground and when he did it slammed into Biondu making him visible again.
"How did you find me?" Biondu asks.
"You're not as quiet as you think." Tangath Toborn said charging in.
"Torrent of Flame!" Biondu roars firing a giant blast of fire that slams into Tangath Toborn knocking him off the cliff. As he fell, Tangath grabs onto some rocks and holds on tight.
Dangling from the cliff, Tangath Toborn struggles to keep from falling.
"Aw looks like the little kitty is trapped." Tangath Toborn looks up to see Biondu looking down at him. "Game over."
Tangath Tobron growls before looking up to see his sword was lodged in the rocks just above Biondu.
"You did good for a first time, but sorry to say you didn't do good enough." Biondu said summoning a Plasma Pounder and aiming it right at Tangath Toborn's face. "Any last words?"
"Yeah, you lose!" Tangath said letting go surprising everyone. "Vine Snare!" Firing vines they wrap around the Sword of Khy'at and as Tangath uses his falling speed to yank the sword out of the rocks and it flew down towards Biondu and impales him through the chest coding him.
"He did it!" Erika cheers along with a few other players.
Appearing back in the drome, Joey looks to see Tangath turning back into Roxas.
"Oh man that was a close one." Roxas said.
"The Winner, TwilightKing." The computer announced.
"Hey you!" Joey said walking over to him with a serious expression on his face.
"Yeah?" Roxas asks.
"What's your name?" Joey asks.
"Roxas."
"Well Roxas." Joey grins before pulling him into a headlock. "You gotta show me how you did that awesome move back there!"
"Wait what? You're not mad I beat you?" Roxas asks breaking free.
"No way, that was awesome man. I never even saw that coming. I'm Joey by sorry for being so in your voice. I really like to get into my monsters when I fight." Joey said.
"It's alright. You were tough." Roxas said.
"So you were you, from here on out you and me are buds." Joey smiles.
Walking out, Roxas and Joey found Erika who ran over.
"There he is." Erika smiles playfully punching his shoulder. "You never said you had moves like that."
"You never asked." Roxas said.
"Touché. So Roxas what do you think of Chaotic?" Erika asks.
"It's amazing, and beyond mind-blowing but how do I get back home?" Roxas asks.
"Oh that's easy. Just click the button on your scanner right there." Joey points.
"Your real self is back wherever you were before you came here and when he pushes the button, you'll get all the memories and experiences your Chaotic self got here." Erika explains.
"There's two of me? This day just gets crazier." Roxas said.
"Hey don't worry, the first day is always the hardest. At least you got friends to help you out the other days." Joey said.
"Really? You guys wanna hang out with me?" Roxas asks.
"Absolutely." Erika smiles.
"Big time." Joey smiles.
"Listen Erika, I really appreciate all your help. I'll make this up to you." Roxas said.
"Ooh I'm listening." Erika said leaning in.
"Well if we were in my hometown, I'd buy you an ice cream." Roxas said.
"Ooh I'll take an ice cream too if you don't mind." Joey said.
"We'll figure something out later. See you soon Roxas." Erika smiles.
Looking to his scanner, Roxas clicked the button on his scanner.
Back in Twilight Town, Roxas was sitting at the top of the train station eating ice cream when his scanner started to beep.
"What is it doing now?" Roxas asks seeing the button was blinking.
Looking at it closely he pushes the button and suddenly all the memories of what happened to him in Chaotic came to him causing Roxas to gasp.
"Whoa…no way." Roxas said getting up.
Running back into town, Roxas saw the man at his booth.
"There you are!" Roxas said getting his attention.
"Ah back again I see. Did your scanner work?" He asks.
"Yes it did. I can't believe it." Roxas said.
"I told you it would be interesting. You were very impressive as Tangath Toborn." The man smiles.
"Yeah I…wait. You saw the battle?" Roxas asks.
"Yes I did, excellent job TwilightKing." The man said.
"Who are you?" Roxas asks suspiciously.
The man takes out a silver card and suddenly his body changed and a bright light engulfs him.
In his place, he was wearing a bronze helmet with green eyeholes, bronze shoulder pads and white and black robes.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Codemaster Imthor." He declared.
"Imthor? As in the Imthor Drome? The place I just battled in?" Roxas gasps.
"The very same." He nods.
"But why would you seek me out like this? I have so many questions." Roxas said when Imthor held up his hand to stop him.
"You'll get your answer soon enough TwilightKing, but for now train hard, battle, and make friends and allies both in Chaotic and in Perim." Codemaster Imthor said.
"Can't you tell me anything?" Roxas asks.
"I know the story of you Keyblade Wielders and how you are able to save worlds. Mine is a little unstable. I hope that a keyblade can help balance things out. Good luck, I hope we will meet again." Codemaster Imthor said before a light engulfs him causing him to disappear along with his stand.
Back at Roxas' place, he walks in and opens his closet. Inside was his Organization XIII coat, but there was also Lea, Xion and Isa's old coats that Roxas was holding onto.
Reaching into his pocket, Roxas took out his scanner.
"I don't know why but part of me feels I might need this again someday." Roxas said.
