When Naruto and everyone got back he had some big news to share. He'd gone to Kakashi's office and told Shanan, Kakashi and Sasuke first, of course, but when they were rescuing Hinata's sister, he'd realized that he was in love with Hinata. Finally!
Both Kakashi and Sasuke said something along the lines of it being about time, but Shanan teared up immediately as she went and wrapped her arms around Naruto's torso and hugged him warmly. Being in love was probably the most grown up thing he'd ever done and Hinata had been waiting so long for him to even notice her.
"I'm so proud of you," Shanan cried.
Naruto smiled awkwardly. "I know, I know. I just can't believe she's liked me for so long."
Shanan stood up straight and looked at Naruto as she cupped his face in her hands. "Of course she liked you, stupid." She smiled at him and pinched his cheeks. "You're so cute!"
Naruto blushed at the compliment. "Shut up, you're just saying that..."
"Not at all, actually. Naruto, you're very attractive. You're tall, handsome like your dad and your eyes are really pretty. Girls love pretty eyes like yours and Minato Sensei's."
"What's that, now?" Kakashi asked, a bit surprised.
Shanan looked sideways at him. "Don't act so surprised, Kakashi. I can't think of one girl our age in the Kaitei that didn't have a crush on Minato Sensei."
"Well... this is the first I'm hearing about you having one."
Shanan shrugged, "I guess it was just one of those unspoken things. You didn't need to ask. And it wasn't like I was in love with him. I just thought he was really handsome and cool and an amazing and kind person."
"That's so many things," Sasuke said, sounding a bit envious himself now.
Kakashi thought for a moment. He knew it was weird to ask, but he suddenly really needed to know. "Did you ever have a crush on me before the Kaitei?"
Shanan didn't want to answer that one. They were all staring at her now. "I... thought you were all of those things, yes, but I didn't have a crush on you," she said apologetically. "You were my friend! Minato Sensei wasn't my friend. So it was different. But again, it wasn't a serious, obsessive crush. It was more of a silly thing where I thought he was really cute, but I could still talk to him easily."
Kakashi laughed a little. "I didn't think you did," he said as he looked at Sasuke with an eyebrow raised.
"Well... this is all very awkward. I never knew you had a crush on my dad... Can we stop talking about this now?" Naruto asked as he laughed nervously.
Shanan nodded at him. "Wait. Did you and Hinata kiss yet or anything?"
Naruto laughed a bit nervously again as he rubbed the back of his head. "Yeah, I uh, kinda told her I wanted to be with her forever and always and we kissed."
"And I missed it?" Shanan yelled as tears ran down her face.
Sasuke laughed at her. "It's not like he was there the first time w-" he caught himself as he pretended to clear his throat suddenly. He had never almost slipped up like that before. But he had taken her advice to be less shy around her seriously and had been speaking more in general.
Naruto and Kakashi looked very surprised at him and Shanan looked at him a bit confused.
"The first time, what?" she asked him.
"The first time... when you had your first kiss," he said slowly.
Shanan remembered when she and Shikamaru had kissed the first time after she'd just become a member of the ANBU and Naruto definitely wasn't there.
"No... that's probably a good thing," she said as she trailed off.
Naruto and Kakashi both looked relieved at Sasuke's save.
"Right. Well, congratulations, Naruto. We should plan a dinner soon and you should bring Hinata over," Kakashi said.
"Yes! And don't worry," she said as she looked at Kakashi, "I know you have a lot to do, my love." Shanan went over to where Kakashi was sitting and he stood up so they could hug and kiss each other goodbye. "Don't work too late, ok?"
"I'll try not to," he told her before kissing her.
Shanan, Sasuke and Naruto left the office and went straight to Shanan and Kakashi's house. She poured them all a drink to celebrate and it turned into several drinks on the couch, as it usually did with her.
"So wait, wait, did you do an official proposal, Naruto?" Shanan asked loudly.
"Oh uh... I guess? I mean I... I guess. Oh, did I say that again?" he said awkwardly. "I guess."
"Shhh... yes." Shanan whispered to him.
"Well, stupid, you're still an idiot," Sasuke said as he scooted over to him and put his arm around him. "If you really love her, you gotta... do, wait... then you should plan something big. Ok, Naruto? Buy a ring. Ask her offis... offi-cial-ly…" he said slowly as he sounded out the last word. "Trust me, girls love romance. Right, Shanan?"
Shanan was very drunk, but very impressed. "Uh yeah, but... Sasuke, how do you know, Sasuke?" she asked curiously. "Have you... SASUKE! Have you even kissed a girl, Sasuke?" She only had one eye open as she waited for an answer.
Naruto and Sasuke both looked at eachother and started laughing hysterically as Naruto fell off of the couch.
Sasuke looked down at him and whispered. "You're so stupid."
"Shhh... You're gonna wake Kakashi up, you guys. Why are you laughing? What did- Oh! Sasuke!" she yelled as she opened her one closed eye.
"Kakashi's still at work, dummy. And Sasuke kissed a girl... Sas... he kiss... Shanan... you kissed... Sasuke kissed... a long time ago. Anyway, he's always been more grown up than me," Naruto tried to explain as he clamored his way back onto the couch.
"Naruto. Shhh don't tell her," he said as he glanced sideways at Shanan.
Shanan shook her head for a minute straight without saying anything and they both watched her the whole time. "What?" She finally asked as she stopped.
"Sasuke kissed-"
Sasuke put his finger over Naruto's lips and whispered at him. "Shhh... you can't tell her," he said as he rested his head on Naruto's shoulder. "She's not mine anymore."
"Ok," Naruto whispered as he patted Sasuke's head.
Shanan was leaning sideways against the back of the couch. "Damn, Sasuke. I'm sorry you lost your girlfriend. I bet she was really pretty."
"Yeah... she still is," he said softly.
"I hope you can kiss her again someday…" she said thoughtfully before sitting back up. "Naruto! Wait. Wait. Come here," she said suddenly and quietly.
Naruto leaned forward pushing Sasuke up as well so that he could hear Shanan more easily.
Sasuke leaned back into his spot in the center of the couch and took a long drink from his glass.
"I have to talk to you about sex now," she whispered.
Sasuke nearly choked on his drink as he laughed.
Naruto shook his head at her vigorously.
"Naruto, you need to know," Sasuke said as he laughed.
"Thank you, Sasuke. I- wait..." she started whispering again, "do I have to tell you too?" she asked Sasuke.
Sasuke gave her a mixture of shaking his head and nodding that just ended up looking like a weird circle.
Naruto was still shaking his head, but much more slowly.
Shanan put her hand on Sasuke's thigh and leaned over him and grabbed Naruto's face to stop him. "Shhh! Look at me, cause you're gonna make Hinata so happy. Thanks to me. She's my friend."
Naruto blinked at Shanan and leaned an inch from her face, meeting her in front of Sasuke. "I traveled with Pervy Sage for thirty years." He snickered at his mistake. "Wait, three years. I know way, way, way, way, way more than I should. Way more."
"Fine." She relented. "Then let's tell Sasuke," she whispered loudly using the wrong hand to shield her mouth.
"Good idea," he said as he looked at Sasuke. "I bet Orochimaru never even liked a girl."
"Let's just get this talk over with so I can go to sleep, because I only know the romance stuff," Sasuke told them through a slightly slurred speech.
Shanan patted his head and nodded slowly. "We're gonna help you get ladies, Sasuke."
"I can get any one that I want, but I don't want just anyone. Anyway, go on." He knew the basics, but sex education was never really an important subject in Konoha and most of them got the talk from their parents. Nobody had sat down with Sasuke and ever told him about this stuff. So he was interested in hearing it, but mostly curious what Shanan had to say about it. He blushed a lot, especially when there were any hand movements involved and she even squeezed her own breasts at one point and pointed to exactly where her nipples were and explained in detail what he should do with them and Naruto really did seem to know what he was talking about. By the time Kakashi had come home, they were all three passed out in a pile on the couch. Sasuke was facing the back of the couch while Shanan had her head at the other end with one leg over Sasuke and one in between him and Naruto. It was a bit of a chore after a long day, but Kakashi moved Naruto to his old room and put Sasuke in Shanan's old room before carrying Shanan into their room and laying her in their bed.

"Shanan, stop. You're still too drunk," he said as he grabbed the hand that was rubbing him.

She sat up and looked at him completely amused. "Kakashi, I think it's very clear which one of us is trying to take advantage of the other," she said as she removed her shorts and straddled him.
Kakashi relaxed and ran his hands up her thighs as she leaned back in to kiss his neck. "Alright, my love. If you insist then I'll let you take advantage of me." He put his arms behind his head. "But I'm not gonna touch you," he said playfully as he closed his eyes.

He opened his eyes and chuckled. "You can do whatever you want and that's what you're choosing?"
She didn't say anything as she pulled his sweatpants down over his already very visible erection. "Are you complaining?"

Shanan closed her hand around him and stroked him as she watched his face. He was really good at controlling his breathing, but she could always tell when he had to put effort into it.
