The twins had been so busy on mission after mission, but they were excited to move into a new home. They weren't there to help move, but they had at least packed their rooms up.
Moving wasn't easy. Shanan felt like it was necessary, but even going into her kids rooms, she had always thought of them as Kakashi's old room and her old room. Yukiho had asked for Kakashi's desk since she was an artist like he was and Hiroshi, being a bookworm, wanted all of his favorite books.
It still amazed her how much Hiroshi looked like Kakashi, save for the hair color, and he wore it less spikey than his dad had. Yukiho looked just like Shanan, but with Kakashi's hair color. She wore her hair shorter than Shanan though. And when Kakashi died, they both adopted his masked look to honor him.
Lee and Sakura came to help Shanan and Sasuke move their things since everyone else was busy and unable to help. Lee was always so helpful when it came to most things and he and Sakura made a great team since she was so strong. They helped move anything big and some of the smaller stuff. And then Shanan and Sasuke moved the last of the boxes and spent the rest of the night unpacking as much as they could.
Shanan wanted the place to be as put together as possible for when the twins returned home. So they only took a short break to eat and then worked a few more hours before Shanan decided that they should get to bed.
As soon as she went up to her room, she looked at the bed and wasn't ready to be in it. She had hoped a different setting would make the difference, but she really never was a fan of sleeping alone in either of her childhoods, at least as far as she knew. So she decided to try again after she took a shower.
After a long day of moving, a shower had been a good idea. Not just for washing away the sweat, but her muscles really ached from all of the awkward, heavy lifting.
Afterwards, she still couldn't get into her bed. Sasuke had been right. All she wanted to do was go and lay on the couch with him. She went downstairs into the living room, but he wasn't there. She didn't know why she thought he would be. She wanted him to have his own space and surely he didn't have the same issues with sleeping alone in a bed that she did. She went and laid on the couch and covered herself up with the throw blanket and tried to sleep, but she couldn't, so she sat up. She kept trying to imagine that Sasuke was sitting next to her so she could at least sleep sitting up, but that hadn't worked either. So she decided to just go and ask him to come and lay with her, at least for a while.
She knocked gently on his door so that she wouldn't startle him. But he didn't answer. She opened his door and saw him lying there, facing the wall, obviously sleeping already. It had been a long day. She stood there for a moment trying to decide what to do. Wake him up and ask him or just go and try to sleep again on her own.
"Are you coming in or are you just gonna stand out there?" Sasuke asked her as he rolled over.
Shanan tried to laugh a little as she walked in, but it just turned into crying.
Sasuke sat up to look at her, concerned as she climbed into his bed and laid down. She was still crying and she wasn't sure why. He laid back down to face her and scooted closer to her as he put his hand on her waist like he always did when they were on the couch, if not slightly softer.
"What's the matter?" he whispered softly.
She wasn't really sure, but as she looked at him, she was starting to feel a bit better already.
Sasuke put his hand on her face and wiped her tears as he looked at her longingly.
She suddenly felt a familiar fluttery feeling when he touched her. "I just missed you," she whispered weakly.
He smirked at her as he brushed her cheek. "You just missed me?" he whispered as he raised an eyebrow at her.
She nodded and swallowed hard. Still feeling the fluttery feeling in her stomach.
"You know, I was actually about to go out there. I missed you too." He continued to caress her cheek as he moved closer to her and looked into her eyes with so much intensity. "But, I always miss you when I'm not with you," he whispered as his eyes welled up. He didn't know why he was saying it, but he couldn't stop himself. Not when they had the place all to themselves, and not when she was in his bed with that look on her face.
Shanan looked into his eyes and smiled as she touched his face. His chakra sent intense chills throughout her entire body. The same as it always had when they touched. "Sasuke..." she said as she laughed. Tears immediately welled up in her eyes and she almost felt giddy with excitement.
He pulled her close as he continued to stare deep into her eyes. She'd never looked at him like this and especially not when they were laying down. He swallowed hard, wondering what she was actually thinking and trying his hardest to not just read her thoughts at this moment. Why did he say that out loud to her? Maybe she would ignore it like she tended to do anytime he sincerely complimented her. She thought of him the same way she thought of Naruto. He was pretty sure if either he or Naruto had ever tried to kiss her, she'd laugh and tell them to stop being weird.
But he was wrong. It was all she could think about right now. And the thought had been crossing her mind a lot lately. She needed to be close to him and she was starting to need more. She ran her fingers gently through his hair as she smiled at him and leaned in. She made sure to move slowly in case he didn't want her to and kept looking back and forth from his eyes to his lips.
He wasn't stopping her. In fact, he seemed to be looking down eagerly at her lips as they made their way to his.
She stopped when her lips were about an inch from his and could feel his fingers digging into her side as he pulled her close to him and held her there. She had her hand on the side of his face as she looked back into his eyes. He was always so hard to read, but she suddenly had the feeling that not only did he want this, he'd been waiting for this. And she wasn't positive, but she could swear she heard his heart beating.
Shanan smiled softly at him and wasted no more time as she crashed her lips into his.
Instant flames erupted between the two of them. The kiss was so soft, but so powerful. Exactly what she would've expected from him. He was a powerful man, but he was always soft with her. He held her so close to him, but his grip on her was very gentle.
She ran her fingers forcefully through his hair as she kissed him more passionately. It felt like they'd both wanted to do this for so long and they finally were.
And whatever their chakras did when they normally touched, was nothing compared to what it was doing now. Flowing back and forth. Twisting and dancing inside the two of them and becoming a single force. Finally.
She pulled away from him, but just barely. Their lips were still almost touching, but she wanted to see his eyes. She wanted to know if he really wanted this or not. Or if he was just not saying no to her, she knew that for whatever reason, people had a hard time telling her no in the past.
All of a sudden she was overcome with doubt as she pulled away and sat up for a moment to consider the situation. "Sasuke..." she whispered as he sat up next to her, "we don't have to do this if you don't want to, I didn't come in here to make you feel bad for me." She felt kind of foolish now, but she didn't want to make him do anything that he was going to feel awkward about later.
Sasuke smirked at her as he slid his hand through her hair and pulled her lips close again. Then he looked into her eyes as he gently brushed his nose against hers and then kissed her deeply. Now that he was in control, he could finally show her exactly how much she'd always meant to him. After a minute or so, he pulled his lips slightly away from hers and swallowed hard before speaking. "Shanan, I've loved you for as long as I've known you and I'll never stop loving you," he whispered softly and then pulled her lips back to his and continued to prove it to her.
She kept her lips on his as she moved to sit on top of him and wrapped both of her arms around his neck. He put his hands on either side of her waist as she pushed him back and continued to kiss him.
He pulled his lips away and smiled at her before pulling her back in and running his hand up her side and under her shirt so that he could feel her up, finally, for the first time.
She closed her eyes and concentrated on the way his kisses felt, soft, but also as if nothing else mattered to him. And the way his hand felt, strong, but also as if her breasts were the most delicate thing he'd ever handled.
She sat up and pulled her shirt off and then helped him to take his off before putting her fingers in his hair and pulling him back in to kiss her.
He wrapped both arms around her waist and continued to hold her close. His entire body felt like it was on fire as she sat on his lap and pressed her bare chest against his.
She could feel him growing underneath her and couldn't help but shift on top of him to feel more of him. She pushed him back again and he ran his hands gently down her back to grip her ass firmly as they kept their lips pressed together.
He rolled over on top of her and gently kissed a trail down the front of her body stopping at her waistband as he grabbed each side of her shorts and started pulling them off of her as he kissed her deeply, sending chills over Shanan's entire body. He pulled his lips away as he sat up and pulled them the rest of the way off and then went back to where he was and kissed a trail back up, stopping at her breasts. He wrapped both of his arms around her and held her so tight as he kissed her deeply in between her breasts, before making his way back up to her neck and then to her lips.
Neither of them seemed to be able to kiss the other deeply enough as she slid her arms under his and held onto the back of his shoulders and could feel him pressing against her again as they kissed passionately.
Sasuke pulled his lips away, but just barely as he looked into her eyes and smiled at her in between playful kisses.
His playful kissing and smiling were contagious and Shanan couldn't help but smile back at him. They were both floating completely on air as they smiled and tangled their fingers up in each other's hair.
She ran her hands down the front of his chest and abdomen and tugged at his waistband to get him to pull his pants and boxers off, which he happily obliged her.
Once they were both completely undressed, they stopped and looked into one another's eyes as they both seemed to be assessing the situation thus far. Shanan smiled at him and reached up to touch his face and then slid her hand from his face to his shoulder as she positioned herself more comfortably underneath him. She felt like she had been wanting this for awhile, but it also felt like a very new desire. Everything about him made her feel warm and safe and amazing.
He reached down and grabbed ahold of himself and kissed her lustfully as he finally pushed himself deep into her and she dug her fingers into the back of his shoulders.
Their chakras continued to blend and create a faint aura around them now as they gave themselves completely to one another. Sasuke's heart had always belonged to Shanan, but now he was finally giving her the rest of him and taking all that she gave him in return.
They continued to kiss each other deeply as he moved up and down on top of her. He'd imagined them together so many times and Shanan had always felt safe and warm in his arms, but neither of them could believe that they'd gotten here.
He moved his lips down to her neck as she leaned her head back and closed her eyes. Everything he was doing felt amazing and just being with him finally sent chills throughout her entire body. He'd been her best friend for so long, it all just felt right.
She continued to run her fingertips slowly up and down his back as he eagerly thrust himself in and out of her, all of his weight on top of her as their entire bodies moved in time together. She squeezed her thighs against him to keep him right where he was, because she never wanted to stop feeling the way she was feeling at the moment.
Feeling her underneath him like this was better than he'd ever imagined and she looked like she couldn't get enough of him. He went back to kissing her lips and the way she kissed him so deeply, with her fingers in his hair, pulling his lips closer to her told him that she was enjoying this and had wanted it as much as he had.
She forcefully nudged him and they rolled over so that she could be on top. She wanted him to see as much of her as possible and it was her turn to make him feel amazing. Sasuke deserved to feel amazing.
He smiled up at her as he gently ran his hands up her thighs to her waist so that he could feel her body move as she rocked against him. He still couldn't believe that he was somehow responsible for the look of pure ecstasy on her face.
She leaned forward and he sat up slightly to meet her as he kissed her collarbone and then moved his lips softly up her neck to her lips to pour more warmth and desire into her.
He held her body close and moved his hands down to her ass to squeeze it as she rolled her hips back and forth. All the while, still kissing her deeply.

They finally pulled their lips away when they were both sure the other was done and rested their foreheads against one another as they slowed their breathing down together. They couldn't stop staring at each other and they didn't want to stop touching each other, but they never really did like not touching, even if it hadn't been romantic in the past.
She finally lifted herself off of him and sat next to him while keeping her hand on his face as she looked at him and really took him in. She looked at him the way he'd always tried not to look at her. She caressed his face and smiled at him. "Sasuke…" she whispered as she laughed a little with tears in her eyes, "I'm so in love with you."
He suddenly teared up as she said it and pulled her closer and leaned his forehead against hers again.
"You've always been there for me and you've never expected anything from me that I couldn't give you. You're my best friend and I just… love you. So much."
Tears were streaming down both of their faces and he pulled her in and hugged her tight.
"I've been waiting so long," he whispered as he closed his eyes and breathed her in deep.
