Within the bushes is another horned rabbit, but despite the wounds, it sustained the corpse is still... recognizable, unlike earlier this one is much more slimmer.

Seeing the familiar snow-white coat clouded by dirt and blood, I shook off my head with visible discomfort.

The realization that someone. no, something that cause me harm was still out there, watching, prowling, and waiting for a chance to kill me.

I suddenly stood straight and alarmed as the realization settled into my mind.

Gritting my teeth in frustration and fear for my life, I was broken from my reverence by the cowing birds above me. They must've flown high into the sky when the crash happened, smelling something foul.

My eyes widen in horror.

"Fire... fire!"

I hurriedly turn back while taking off my speedo along the way, seeing the supposed camp I've decided to settle on fire brought dread and panic within me.

Forest fire is a big no, no. Especially in this thick wilderness filled with Mysterious beings that want to kill me.

Crossing over the rushing river stream, I ignored the splashes of water attempting to push me away, I slipped at the slippery moss-filled rock mid-way but recovered as I jump into the land in my birthday suit.

Still soaked with water, I quickly snatched the plate of bark from earlier and use it as a makeshift water bucket to launch them like a water gun-- or catapult in this case.

It took me several minutes to put off the fire, after the back and forth splashes. Minus than the center of clearings, the area was dark and wet.

Despite my arms and legs straining from exhaustion, I still force my body to move and surrounded the remaining fire with stones the size of my head and fueled it with a bunch of twigs and dry leaves that I foraged nearby.

Plopping my naked rear into the charcoal ground, I let out labored breathing while coughing out the carbon dioxide.

'The... the grasses and leaves must've spread the fire.." I mutter with a grimace.

While the wild grasses and bushes were burned down, the tougher areas like the trees were thankfully not damaged as much as I thought.

Taking off the pebble out of my warm bum, I flick it at the river and watch it bounce several times before stopping.

Sitting down, I lay in there for quite a while. Watching the flames blazing, which reminds me...

"The fire earlier... it was invisible.. no, the area clearly wavered so it's more of a heatwave, a temperature high enough to set the wild grasses into blazes."

I pat my shoulder, grazing the patches of horrible sunburn in which I silently flinch, when he was clearing of the forest fire, it barely warmth his body, that heatwave however... if he were an ordinary human then he'd suffer a third-degree burn or worse... death.

The last part made him sweat in nervousness, I then tap my chest with assurance.

"This body of mine... must be at least Tiger-Peak, somewhere capable of clashing against Pre-meta morphed Mosquito Girl." That... didn't reassure me at all.

My eyes averted towards the ground beside me, specifically where the grasses rotted at a visible pace.

Some sort of Chronokinesis mix with pyrokinesis? I admit it's a.. strange package of power. It doesn't even have a theme that Mysterious Beings follows, I don't remember a Being like that in One punch man so that means it's a filler character.

Or at least... an Early monster that sprouted before the Canon timeline.

"I think I rested enough already..' I whispered, still wary of my surroundings, and besides, what are the chances that anyone would understand English.

Certainly, not the monsters would instead trace my voice and catch me off guard.

Walking back towards the corpse I pick up and wore the speedo along the way as I carried the corpse by its ears.

Using a jagged stone and horn, I manage to gut most of the uneligible and throw it into a pile far away, obviously to make use of it as a bait for later.

In the middle of my work, my makeshift knife nicked something hard, something different that let out a resounding ping.

Out of curiosity, I carefully pull it out and watch in surprise as my meal turns into dust.

Watching the transparent shard of sorts between my fingers, I was then left befuddled.

"The hell?" I gruffly question before turning it around for further examination.

I don't recognize the Shard.

I never seen this in the show, was the horned-rabbit from earlier also contain one?

I carefully clench it with my fist, as I once again reminded by my burst of recklessness. It didn't make any sense, I wasn't much of a berserker, why am easily agitated.

I was once a calm and cowardly guy before my displacement, could it be? Did this body changed the structure of my brain-- of course it would, stupid question because this isn't even mine.

This body's testosterone is through the roof, I'd be more surprised if I was like the same guy, what happened earlier must have been a Roid-rage from the imbalance of hormones.

I've yet to acclimate in this body and...

I was cut off by the grumbling of my stomach, looking down on the dust. I wondered if the fish is the same-- or would it be different?

"...Guess I'll have roasted fishes."

I flicked and caught the sharp end of my horn. I give off a faraway gaze at the patches of dried blood, taking a deep breath.

I compose myself as I gave a contemplating look at nowhere particularly, I then ponder how many calories I need for this body.

"...Fuck my life." with arms crossed, I let my head rest above it while balancing it with my knees.

I swore quietly, I know the world of One punch man is dangerous. But I didn't realize it was this alarming, the worst part is that they're not even Demon level.

Zet4: Hello! thank you for the review, and yes your fears... are thankfully unfounded, it's too soon and he's yet to arrive in Orario. Also, his POV is a bit inaccurate due to the mixture of adrenaline and mindset clouding his perception.

which is why the way he describes around him is biased and inaccurate due to faulty information and haphazard understanding.

Author notes: The next chapter would b 4 to 5 k words, I guarantee that the quality would be the same as before and I'll even proofread it.

Do mind that everything I had written have a hidden meaning and foreshadowing.

this arc would contain 10 chaps, depending the words as I initially planned a 2k per chapter.
