Hello everyone! I am back with another chapter for you all! We all know that Marinette and Adrien are stuck in a never ending loop of breezing past each other without realizing that they are the ones that the other loves. This is infinitely annoying to most of us I am sure and while we have been told that they will eventually end up together, it is still frustrating. And then the teaser episode of Cat Blac! Really? That is the dream except for the messed up part about that episode. If some of you have not seen it, then I am so sorry. But enough ranting for me, let's get onto the story, but first…

Full summary: This story is based off of the OC Miraculous but with a few of my own twists thrown in. What happens if Ladybug and Cat noir figure out the other's identity? What if a misunderstanding between the two could lead to disastrous consequences? Cat Blanc should have never happened and what if it doesn't? What if the misunderstanding can be rectified without their identities getting out to everyone else? How can their lives be if none of the consequences happened like they should have? Read and find out!

Now that that is over, let's move on!

Disclaimer: I DO NOT own Miraculous, because if I did, Marinette and Adrien would be together by now.

WARNING! SPOILER ALERT! If you have not seen up to the Cat Blanc episode and don't want to know what happens then stop reading right now! You have been warned. Now, onto the story! Enjoy!

Chapter 2

I stand at the top of the stairs at the plaza staring down at my friends, the gift I have made for Adrien clutched tightly in my hands as sadness overtakes me. I slowly walk down the stairs towards the girls, my head hung slightly as I hear my friends take a collective sigh when they spot me.

"I can't do it, what if he doesn't like the gift? What if I sign it and he turns me down because he doesn't love me? What if-?" At this point I have sat down on the bench, the open picnic basket Rose had brought sitting next to me and tempting me to reach in and gorge for the sake of my mental insanity. Just as my hand reaches the edge of the basket, the top is slammed down almost catching my fingers as I jerk back in surprise. Rose has a look of death on her face as she stares back at me with fury.

"That is IT Marinette! No more picnics, hangouts, or sleep overs until you give Adrien that gift!" She smiles slightly in my direction but even with it, I can tell in her eyes how serious she is about that threat. I hear Alya speak up on my right as I turn to face her with a slightly hurt and confused expression on my face.

"Rose is right! Today is the day! I know you can do it, and besides, how is he supposed to know that you are thinking about him today if you don't tell him?!" I know she is right but..

"I know Alya but still.." I get cut off as Alex stands speaks up this time.

"Uh uh! You can do this! Now go!" She starts to chant go and the other girls join in with her, and I look around the group, the confidence I normally only feel when I am ladybug starts to flow through me and I smile lightly. I can do this!

I nod and jump up from the bench, taking off in the direction of Agreste Manor, the girls whooping and cheering me on as I go. I don't stop running until I start to get close to the gates. Tikki pops up from my purse, affection and proudness rolling off her being in waves as she speaks.

"Are you really going to tell him this time?" I look down at my faithful Kwami and nod with confidence.

"Yes Tikki, this is it! And you know what I am not going to take for an answer?" Before I know it, I have arrived at the gates of the Manor and start to feel my nerves set in a little before I shake it off and reach out for the bell on the outside of the gate. A camera pops out of a secret panel in the wall and reaches down towards me as a lady's voice speaks professionally through the intercom.

"Can I help you?" I swallow the lump that has started to form in my throat and bravely look into the lense of the camera.

"I am a friend of Adriens and I have something to give him, I was hoping that I could speak to him." I hold up the present that I made for him and smile brightly before the lady's next words make me frown with confusion.

"No, Adrien is not home right now." She says this with a matter of fact tone and I can't help but wonder if she is lying to me. I look back into the lense and take a deep breath. I didn't come this far just to be deterred now.

"Do you know when he will be back?" I don't hear anything for a moment but then her voice comes back through a little harsher than before.

"I can't tell you that. Good day Miss." The camera disappears back into the hidden panel after her dismissal and I back up a little bit from the gate and pull out my phone from my pocket. I click the screen on and check the time, frowning a little harder when I realize that he should have already been home. Being a semi stalker of my crush does have it's advantages.

"Maybe you can just give him the gift tomorrow at school?" Tikki pokes back out of the bag on my hip, her voice sincere and I can tell that she is just trying to help me but no.

"No Tikki, I can't back out of this." I turn and run to the corner across from the Manor and look at where Adrien's room is and more importantly the open window that I know is there. Tikki can sense what I am planning and she starts to try to protest the misuse of my power but after reassurance that I won't take long, she calms down. I quickly look for a secluded area to transform and spot the perfect place. I race for the alley, not even noticing the gray limo driving past me as I duck into the alley way. I take a few deep breaths and then resolve settles in my mind as I quickly say the magic words.

"Tikki, spots on!" She zips into my earrings and I feel my costume zoom across my body, hiding my true identity and my yoyo appears on my hip. I smile happily and grab the magic item, swinging off back towards the manor and land on the window sill of the open window that leads into his room. I temporarily get distracted by Adrien's room, all of his stuff grabbing my attention as I move around his room fangirling.

I end up on Adrien's bed, my face buried in his pillow as I breathe in his scent with a giddy happiness that almost makes me forget why I am here and who I am at this moment. I quickly sit up and grab his present, setting it gently down on his pillow as I hop off the bed and head for the window. A sudden realization hits me and I stop in my tracks with a deep sigh. I forgot to grab the card I had made for him! I quickly turn around and search his room for something I can use. I spot a pencil on his desk and move to grab it, darting over to the present on his bed and neatly signing my name on the top of the paper. Satisfied with my work, I replace the pencil and dash for the window, swinging my yoyo out until it wraps around a pole and I get pulled back out into the city.

Back in Adrien's room

The blonde opens his door in time to see Ladybug disappearing out of his open window, confusion instantly bubbling up in him as he wonders what she could have been doing in his room when he wasn't here. He spots the blue present on his pillow and picks it up, noting the signature at the bottom left corner and his confusion grows as Plagg flies out of his jacket pocket.

"Why would Ladybug be dropping off a present from Marinette?" Plagg feels panic rise up in him at the blonde's words and he tries to deflect the truth away with a lie.

"Uh, maybe because Marienette asked her too?" His lie falls on deaf ears as Adrien gets lost in his thoughts. The black cat Kwami can feel his panic continue to rise as realization dawns in Adrien's green eyes.

"Wait, maybe because Ladybug and Marinette.. are the same person!" Adrien becomes distant as his thoughts travel through all the encounters he has had with Ladybug and with Marinette. How did he not realize sooner that the two are one in the same?! Plagg knows he has lost Adrien but he still continues to try to side track his chosen, not liking where this realization could lead.

"You two aren't supposed to know each other's identities!" The blonde just shakes his head and holds the beret that the girl of dreams made for him closer before looking back up to his Kwami.

"Just because I know her identity doesn't mean that she has to know mine! Everything is going to be okay, I promise Plagg." He then puts the beret on and rushes out of his room as Plagg tries one last time to stop him. It once again goes unnoticed as Adrien races after Marinette. Now that he knows her identity, he is not going to let her go ever again. She has even tried to tell him multiple times but like most guys, he has been so oblivious to what she has truly been trying to tell him. He stops just long enough to try to find her and then darts off for the plaza.

Back with Marinette

I rush down the stairs towards the girls, my giddiness showing through my eyes as they all rush to greet me with a group hug.

"I did it!" I squeal and they cheer with happiness at my success. They wrap me in a group hug and congratulate me as we move back to the bench, them crowding around me in curiosity.

"So how did you get to Adrien with his body guards?" Alya breaks through above the excited chatter and at her question, the noise dies down as all eyes turn to me.

"I-I was just very convincing!" I stutter and they laugh lightly at my blushing face as I hold the sandwich up to take a bite. However, right as I bring it to my lips, a familiar voice breaks me out of my thoughts and makes my face heat up even more than it was before.

"Marinette! I need to tell you something!" Adrien is coming towards me, his smile bright, green eyes sparkling, and his blonde hair shining in the sun. On top of his messy locks sits the beret that I made for him! I internally squeal with delight as he continues to walk towards us, and I feel frozen to the spot until Alya pushes me roughly off the bench. I stumble on my own feet and trip on an invisible object that causes me to flail my arms dramatically, my poor sandwich flying off in an unknown direction as I nearly collide right into Adrien. I feel strong hands grip my arms to keep me from face planting into his chest and I stand frozen for a moment as my face glows bright red. I then realize that Adrien caught me and am all too aware of the warmth coming from his skin and I jump away from him, landing only a few feet from where he is standing. I plaster a large smile on my face and stand tall as I can feel my anxiousness start to get the better of me.

"H-hi A-adrien!" I mental face palm at my stuttering and continue to stand still as his smile grows soft and something flashes in his emerald eyes that I am not completely sure I understand.

"I… wanted to tell you that I have finally realized something Marinette." He trials off as his smile grows a little wider and his eyes shift to the side as if he is thinking of something fond to him. My smile drops a little as my face heats up again, my imagination already running wild at what he wants to tell me, my hopes rising for the fact that this might be the moment my dream comes true. I mental pinch myself to see if this is actually happening, feeling like this moment might be too good to be true.

"I wanted to tell you that I have finally realized that you aren't just a friend to me, Marinette. You are so much more to me than just a friend." He reaches down and grabs my hand, steps towards me slightly as love clearly fills his eyes. My heart skips a beat as I realize that this is actually happening, he is really holding my hand and giving me a look that I have only ever seen on Chat's face when he tells me that he loves me. However, this look seems so much more intense and I find myself starting to drown in it.

Realizing that I haven't said anything in a minute, my face glows as I look down, my stuttering coming back in full swing as I try to form a response. Not wanting to read too much into what he is trying to say in case it isn't what I am imagining, I decide to deflect instead.

"S-so does this m-mean that y-you like the beret?" I mentally slap myself at the stuttering but avert my eyes away from his face as I anxiously await for what he is going to say next. My hopes are high as I imagine what I wish so much that he would say to me and, at his next words, I can feel my soul lifting to the heavens as my heart soars.

"It means that I love you Marinette." I snap my head up and disbelief shows through as I look up into his eyes but as soon as our eyes connect, I can feel the love pouring out of his soft expression as he leans in closer to me. My face softens into a genuine smile as I close my eyes and lean up to meet him halfway. Our lips connect in a soft embrace and it is as if the world finally sets in place, the small hole in my heart overflowing with the love for this man standing in front of me. I grip his hand back and slide my other one up to wrap around his neck as his free hand goes to my waist. After a few moments, he pulls back just enough to lean his forehead against mine and I slowly reopen my eyes to stare into his.

"I love you Marinette." I smile brightly and decide that it is finally time to say the same back to him.

"I love you too Adrien." A collective awe behind me breaks us out of our little world and we pull away just far enough to look back at the group of girls that we had completely forgotten were there. I smile brightly at them as they rush to us for another large group hug, Adrien and I trapped right in the middle.
