Hello there, Lads, Lassies, and Lassoes

We shall continue our Journey today. I'm bad at jokes I know.

The four stepped their feet outside of the newfound self-admitted morgue and was greeted by the beautiful morning air, away from the foul stench from the dead beasts, the beast which bared no name. Laying Jim beside a pump, Brenda took the nozzle out of its slot and flooded the station with what's left of the liquid. "Can I borrow your lighter Jim?" Brenda asked the injured man, an avid smoker he was before the monster outbreak, with his left hand he grabbed the lighter out of his chest pocket.

"Here," Jim said as he passed a silver flip lighter, "don't scratch it,"

"Don't worry I won't," Brenda said as she burned a piece of old bulletin laying on the floor, the newsprint raged on fire as it dropped down to the flammable substance puddled on the tarmac.

The place was consumed in the raging fire, burning the shell of its former self, leaving nothing but ashes. Injured and hungry, Luna and Lily followed the two people, will it be legit or will it be a trap?

They walk and walk, hours flew by like a flock of birds, fast and restless. Luna was hungry, she was starving, but she needed to be tough for Lily.

"pspss... Luna," Lily whispered, "Can we trust them?"

"I don't know Lily," Luna whispered back, "remember, until we know who they are, call me mom,"

"Okay, mom," Lily mockingly replied, to which Luna smiled, it's good to laugh from time to time, especially in desperate times.

Luna's body was in pain, each step she made pained her, seeing the kid grin in joy even when in the crosshair of the angel of death himself made Luna happy, at least she's not afraid.

4 Years Ago, 11.49 PM...

"Move along," A soldier said as he motions the large crowd of people to go through the gates of the Royal Woods Bus Terminal. "Please move along!"

The Louds had parked the family van, also known among the Louds as Vanzilla, three blocks away from the packed parking spot. People were marching in droves to find safety. The National Guard mobilised to evacuate the residents were severely outnumber, 10 to 1. Helicopters flew left and right, shining their spotlight to illuminate the night. People were shouting, screaming, begging to board the helicopters. Many areas in Royal Woods were turned into field bases and evacuation zones.

"Kids, headcount," Lynn Loud Sr., the father of eleven shouted as he motioned his hands. "Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lincoln, Lisa, Lana, Lola, and Lily all check,"

"Come on kids!" Rita Loud shouted as they all tried to break through the panicking crowd and broke through it they did.

One by one they were taken into the bus, starting with Lori, then Leni, then Lynn and so on, And at last, only Luna, Rita and Lily were left, The soldier pulled Rita in but she refused, "No give my daughter my seat please," Rita shouted as the crowd grew restless.

"Mom, please stop, I'll catch the next bus," Luna said trying to calm her mother down, Rita tried to protest but Luna stopped her from doing so, "It's okay,"

"Here take Lily," Rita said before going through and entering the school bus, the army utilised. Through the bus window, Rita shouted "Call us when you get there!"

The bus drove away with a police car following it from behind, everyone was tensed, the crowd grew louder and the soldiers started to panic. minutes passed and the radio chatter from the army and police started to grow restless and when Luna was seated in a bus, the gunshots rang, and the ravenous beasts started to ravage the crowd. The guardsmen wanted to open fire, but the crowd was too big, they were not going to kill civilians. Luna's eyes were wide open when she saw people, bits of people thrown up to the sky, the bus sped away as the heinous beasts broke through the scared crowd.

"OH SHIT!" the bus driver shouted as people were getting thrown up and down, left and right.

Through the window Luna saw as the place turned into hell, people were trying to grab onto the bus, fearing for their lives, "Please" "Mercy" "Help" the three words that had burrowed deep into Luna's mind.

Hours passed since the bus escape the horrid death pit, Luna doesn't want to hear the screams and begging of the people ravaged by the beasts. She closed her eyes and plugged her ears with earphones that were connected to her MP3 player. The song "Winds of Change by Scorpions" played through the white cabled buds, her life was about to change, for the worse.

Choppers flew, sirens blared, Luna looked out the window to see vehicles crashed, and there she saw it, the same bus the rest of the Louds were in, overturned with blood pooled under it. She knew that was their bus because of the distinct look on a suitcase, bright pink, littered with sprinkles, Lola's. "LOLA! LINCOLN! LANA! GUYS!" Luna shouted through the window, "God stop the bus!" She begged the driver. His face was sad, he understood the girl's feelings. Lost. "Sir, please stop the bus,"

A soldier standing at the door looked away from Luna, he couldn't bear looking at a kid like that, he felt pity, but he knew better, to not let her go out and put others in jeopardy, he walked over to Luna and pulled her back to her seat. "I'm sorry kid," the soldier said before returning to his post.

"I'm sorry kid, I really am," the driver said before turning the radio on, and sped the bus up, leaving the crash site.

"No, no, no, no," Luna mumbled at her seat, looking at the rolled over bus through the window. Her eyes started to water and in mere seconds she started to weep as Lily slept soundly in her arms. "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry,"

Present day...

"Here we are," Brenda exclaimed as their eyes were pleased by the sight of an old high school. The windows were boarded, and the doors were reinforced with sheet metal. "Welcome home,"

Sorry if the chapter was short, and again thank you for reading.
