Seven thirty-seven comin' out of the sky, Won't you take me down to Memphis on a midnight ride, I wanna move.

Seriously bruv, I wanna move.

Key in hand, the brunette sighed, sliding the key inside the keyhole, she twisted it, unlocking the door to the supposed storage bay. Pulling the door back, their eyes were met with boxes, most were empty, but one was still sealed. Her leg felt like shit, but all that can be done is done, she doesn't want to burden the young child into pushing her around on the sick throne. Looking around, checking for supplies, it was rather empty for a storage room. Opening a footlocker, she found a faded teal guitar pick, one that looks like Sam's, she smiled.

"Hey Lunes, look at what I found," Lily called out from behind the injured girl. Turning around, Luna saw in Lily's grasp, a pair of crutches, one that she desperately need. "It's like the ones we saw at that clinic last year,"

"Yeah, the clinic with the raccoons," Luna chuckled before her smile died out, "I miss them, Lily," she blurted out as she sat on the dusty floor, "you could've had a sweet childhood,"

Sitting next to Luna, Lily said, "At least, I have you Lunes, nothing can stop us,"

Nothing? really? a hurricane of nights, a tornado of darkness? nothing? are you sure Lily?

"We'll hop on a boat, and sail away," Lily said as she motioned her hands, "You do know how to sail right?"

Reminiscing the events that unfolded at the Royal Woods Astonishing Quest, "More or less," Luna replied with a crooked smile, "We'll figure it out together alright,"

"Oh hell no," Lily chuckled out before getting up on her feet, "I'm gonna check the armory out, you should run the crutches for a test drive,"

"running? I'll be happy to tackle your smart mouth Lils," Luna joked as she pulled herself up, resting her body on the pair of crutches. As Lily walked out of the almost empty room, Luna step by step roamed the room, what's left of it, walking to the only sealed box in the room. Putting the crutches aside, she slowly kneeled down to her knees, with her right hand she opened it, not much, there were cans of beans, some instant noodles, a pack of cigarettes, a box of biscuits and two double-A batteries. Looking at the batteries, Luna remembered the music player she gave Lily, thinking maybe she'd want those, two cells wouldn't hurt, right? With that mindset looping in her brain, she slid the two dry cells inside her back pocket "How did they survive with this much food?" she wondered, a group that sized, large and organised, heavily armed and lives with little to no nonperishables.

Using just one of the crutches, she walked out with the box under her left arm. Grunting all the way out of the room and into the blood ridden cafeteria, she set the box on a table, the bodies laid stiff, drowning in their own blood. The guns were all set on the table, all that they could scavenge, bullets, tools, what's left of the cannibal militia. "We can survive through winter with these," Luna said as she slowly rests herself on the table, sitting down with her back on the table. "Too bad we can't haul all of this with us,"

We can haul the bullets, but the guns? maybe just a rifle or two, those are heavy, ah shit, bloody hell, my leg stings, I don't think it'll get better like this. I pulled my injured right leg up and all I saw was the bandage, dirty with blood, smelled like a rat, hell my whole body hurts, yet my leg is still the mood killer, fucking killjoy. Peeling the bandage off my eyes gazed upon the red pulsing stitches, it burns, is it supposed to be red? yellow puss was forming, is that normal? maybe.

Wrapping the bandage back up, tighter this while. Unbuttoning my shirt I looked at the bruises, the bruises given to me generously by Brenda and her cronies, some were large, some were rather small, dying felt freeing, maybe I was high on adrenaline, maybe I was turned on when death laid his scythe on my throat, laughing in the face of death, crying in the face of darkness, what am I?

Losing my mind is the least of my troubles, losing Lily is something else.

"Luna, take a gander at what I found!" Lily shouted from across the concrete labyrinth, speak of the devil.

Wouldn't want to leave her waiting now do we? I walked slowly with the lonely crutch glued on, walking and walking inside the room she called from, "Where are you Lils?" I yelled as I looked around the dark room, the dark room labelled armory.

"Luna I can see you," Lily said, as I struggled my way to spot the little asshole, figuring that the switch might be near the wall, and it was, flipping it I heard Lily, begging for the light to be switched off, and I saw her struggling to keep the light out of some large goggles.

"It burns!" she said, melodramatic indeed. "Ahhhh," she said as she pulled the pair of goggles off, "What was that for Lunes?" She yelled with one hand punching my left thigh, "my eyes burn,"

I could only laugh at the girl, she honestly thought that she would win this fight. "It ain't my fault you became Lucy," I laughed, but the laughter died, the past is creeping into the present, it'll drag us down. "sweet goggles Lils," I said, with a sheepish smile stretched on my face, patting her head. "So, umm... any luck?"

"Well, other than the fact that you blew my eyes up, there's a bunch of rifles, and whatever this thing is," Lily said as she passed the goggle to me, never thought I'd ever see this again, definitely something the army had, night vision goggles, might be useful later, who knows, might as well keep it.

"Nice haul sis, found anything else?"

"This cool hat," Lily said as she puts on an army helmet, a tad large for her head, and a tad heavy for her little neck, "it's a bit heavy, kinda like the one we found at that camp, just without the blood and brain bits,"

"You look cute in it," I said with my fingers pushing the helmet down, I love teasing the kid, it takes the terrors of the world out, albeit not for long, it's worth it, "You gonna keep it eh?" I asked as she buckled the straps, hanging from the helmet.

"Yeah, it feels like an exclusive head pillow," Lily said as she tugged on my shirt, pulling me out of the armoury, "I'm keeping it,"

"Yeah, and I also found some bats for you," I said with my left hand handing over the double-A batteries I slid down the back pocket, "Sorry, I couldn't find any earlier,"

Her face went from happy to fucking happy, she was joyful, hours ago I saw her ready to die, ready to meet God, and here I see the happy go lucky gal I was, "Thank you, Lunes!" she hugged my leg, it hurts but at least we're together, forever.

"Alright, alright, time to pack for our long walk," I said, wished the hug lasted longer, but both of us knew that the night don't wait for anyone. Nowhere is safe.
