I do not own Harry Potter, only the OC.

Hello guys, Badger here. I'm sorry it has been about two weeks since I last posted an update for my stories. University has affected my upload schedule more then I thought. Now, I will admit, this chapter was supposed to release a few days ago, but I forgot about it, as I worked on Uni lectures, seminars etc. Of course, due to Uni, I couldn't work on this all day, so I had to spread writing for this chapter out, because of this, it may not be that polished, so I apologise for any mistakes.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy and I will see you at the end.

Chapter 4

Where we belong and what happens Next

An eight year old Harry Potter climbed through the broken window, being careful of the broken shards of glass, a plastic bag in his hands. Something he had learnt to do over the last few months. It had been almost a year since he ran away from the Dursleys and met James and his sister Aila. Back at the Dursleys, Harry wished for another life, but he never thought he'd find himself living in a run down, abandoned warehouse building with a witch and wizard, where they had to beg and scavenge for money, so they could buy food. What Harry found funny, however, is that he preferred this over the Dursleys. Harry rubbed some sleep from his eyes as he leant against a wall and went through everything he was able to buy. Today, it was his turn to get money and buy food. Usually begging would work, but Harry chose to do a food dive, where he took food from a bin and proceeded to intentionally fall, dropping the food, in a crowd of people and put on an act, so they gave him money to buy more food. Thinking about it, Harry noticed that he, Aila and James had different methods of getting money. Harry and Aila had a similar way of thinking, using people's emotions to get money, whilst James would usually steal or pickpocket. That boy was quick and sly, he could steal a pocket watch from a rich man's pocket, with no hassle.

Today, Harry was able to buy a few packs of sandwiches, some crisps, chocolate, and some bottles of water. Hopefully it was last them a week. Leaning back, Harry closed his eyes, as he thought about his brother. Harry remembered that night. After James and Aila told them the story, he started to remember his brother, and his parents. No doubt Aiden didn't need to beg for money and food, whilst living in, for lack of a better word, a shithole. Harry didn't blame Aiden however. His parents were the ones to give him away. They threw him away like he was nothing. Harry hoped that one day he would meet his brother. He wanted to know what he was like. Meet the one family member he actually cared about. From what James and Aila had said, Harry should get a Hogwarts Acceptance Letter, after his eleventh birthday. Hopefully, he will get to meet him then.

Tears threatened to spill from Lightnings eyes, as he hugged his brother. Something he had wanted to do for a long time. Aiden, meanwhile, couldn't help but stop the tears, as he lay his head on his brothers shoulder. Remus and Sirius also had tears in their eyes at the sight and Snape, who often wore an emotionless mask, his eyes looked slightly watery. Ace smiled, watching his friend reunite with his brother, giving Aila a small kiss on her temple, seeing the look on her face and the tears starting to fall down her face. Aila was the emotional one, whilst he usually apathetic, his only outlet being the music they play.

"Harry…" Aiden said, his throat dry "It…it's really you…"

"Yeah, it is" Lightning replied, looking down for a moment "But…I'd like it, if you don't call me Harry…I'd rather you call me Lightning"

"Why is that?" Snape asked, drawing their attention to the others in the room

"Because the name 'Harry' reminds me of everything that happened before" Lightning sighed "I go by Lightning, not just for the scar on my forehead, but because it feels right…I'm making a living, playing music, playing with the rest of the band, going to gigs and meeting fans, it's a life I love but the name Harry just makes me remember, and brings the mood down"

"You're in a band?" Sirius asked

"Me and Lightning are, Aila here isn't" Ace spoke up "I'm Ace by the way…in case you were wondering"

"But you two are James and Aila Badger?" Remus asked

"Yes, but like Lightning, I'd rather you called me Ace" Ace shrugged "This is who I am, James is someone who ran away, too weak to do anything, Aila is the only one who kept her name"

"If you two are the last living members of the Badger Family, why didn't you accept your place in Hogwarts?" Snape asked "Did you receive a letter?"

"We did" Aila replied, a little coldly "But the real question is, did Lightning receive a letter?"

The other occupants were silent, as they looked down, knowing full well what she was going to say, as they remembered what Dumbledore had told them, when they held a meeting, following Voldemort's return.

"Albus said that he saw a letter with Harry…sorry, Lightnings name on it" Sirius sighed "However, he didn't send it, believing it to be a mistake"

"I see" Ace growled "We wondered why Lightning never received his letter…we refused our Hogwarts acceptance, because Lightning hadn't received his…oh, and don't expect us to accept a place now…that ship has long since sailed!"

"It's okay" Remus replied calmly, holding his hands up in a surrendering manner "We understand and we can't exactly blame you for that either"

"If H…Lightning isn't going to Hogwarts then I'm not either" Aiden spoke up "I've taken my OWL's so I no longer need to go to Hogwarts, if I don't wish to"

"James and Lily may not approve of that" Sirius replied "But I'm sure that, by pulling the right strings, we can get Minerva to approve and send us your exam results…of course you can always take your NEWTs at a later time"

"Aiden, you don't have to do that!" Lightning spoke up "I didn't have much of an education but you shouldn't drop out, because of me!"

"Like it or not, it's happening" Aiden replied, firmly "Your my brother, I have spent so longer without you, I'll be damned if something like school keeps me from spending time with you"

Lightning was silent for a moment, before a soft smile made its way onto his face.

"Thank you brother" He said softly

There was a small silence in the room, as everyone stood there, unsure on what to say. Ace and Aila were obviously uncomfortable with the silence, as they were fidgeting on the spot. After a moment, Sirius cleared his throat to get their attention.

"Hey, Aiden, Albus, James and Lily will be gone for a while and the Weasleys won't be arriving until later in the evening" He said "So maybe you could show them to their rooms…there are loads of spare, empty ones available, they're welcome to use any of them"

"Thank you Sirius" Lightning smiled, before following Aiden up the stairs.

Harry sat in a back alley, with James and two others, who called themselves Ice and Buzz. Harry wasn't sure why they made friends with the two. They weren't the nicest. To begin with, it was just himself, James and his sister Aila. Then, they met two others, who they named Hound and Ghost. It was only after meeting Ice and Buzz, where they gave themselves nicknames. Harry had decided to name himself Lightning, due to the scar on his forehead and James had named himself Ace. Harry wasn't sure as to the reason why, but he suspected it was because of the deck of cards he sometimes carried around. Aila was the only one hadn't given herself a nickname, though she did sometimes refer to herself as an Ice Queen. Ice and Buzz, they were decent people, mostly, but they still weren't great. The two of them smoked and took drugs and he had found himself doing the same. It didn't feel nice, but he couldn't stop himself from taking more. Harry ignored what Ice and Buzz were saying, and looked up at the night sky. He was hungry. Hopefully, they could get something to eat soon.

"Lightning!" Ace called out

Lightning snapped out of his thoughts. It took a moment of recollection, for him to realise he was walking with his brother, Ace and Aila.

"You seemed out of is H…Lightning" Aiden spoke up "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine brother, don't worry" Harry replied

"Not high are you?" Ace asked

"No, I was just…thinking" Lightning shrugged

"Sure" Ace replied in a disbelieving tone, before turning to Aiden "Hey, listen, is there a room big enough for the three of us to share?"

"Umm, yeah I believe so" Aiden replied "Why?"

"Well, the three of us have been together for a while" Aila spoke up "I guess you could say we are more comfortable being together, rather than being separated"

Aiden nodded, understanding what she was staying, before stopping in front of one of the rooms.

"I believe this room has three beds in it" He said "If you want anything changed, you can just ask Sirius or Remus and they will Transfigure it for you and my room is the one on the end of this corridor"

"I'm sure we will be fine brother" Lightning smiled "If you don't mind, we'd like to get some rest, we've been on the road for a while and, despite being knocked unconscious, we are shattered"

Aiden nodded and he hugged Lightning once more, before watching them enter their room. As soon as the door closed, he walked into his own room. Closing his own door, he leaned against it, placing his head in his hands. Everything that had just happened over the last few minutes had started to overwhelm him. His brother was back. Aiden wasn't sure what his brother had gotten up to over the last decade, but he could get some kind of idea, judging by the fact that his brother now calls himself Lightning and no longer considers himself Harry. Aiden jumped when someone knocked on his door. He opened it, to see Ace standing on the other side.

"Hey…Ace, right?" Aiden asked

"That's me" Ace smiled "Listen, we don't know each other yet, but I hope we get along, you see…I consider Lightning to be a brother, and I think he considers me a brother too…and, as you are his actual brother, that makes you a brother to me too and I hope we can become friends"

"I'd like that" Aiden replied "And you have been there for my brother for some time, I think we'll get on well"

"Great, I'll see you later" Ace said "We all need rest at the moment"

Ace held out his hand, fist clenched, waiting for a fist bump. After a moment, Aiden bumped his fist against Ace's and waved when he walked away. Aiden fell back against his back, still feeling overwhelmed. He closed his eyes, wanting to take a nap, where he quickly passed out.

When Aiden opened his eyes, he saw he was somewhere else. He was standing in front of a large mirror on a wall. He looked different. He was wearing a black leather waistcoat with metal studs, a grey shirt with ripped jeans and combat boots. He had a piercing on his nose and rings on his fingers. His hair was longer, almost reaching down to his shoulders, and seemed to be a mix of reds, oranges and yellows. He also had tattoos. On his right arm, he had black and grey flames starting at his wrist and going all the way up to his shoulder. On his right hand, he had the word 'Rebirth' tattooed in cursive calligraphy. On his left wrist he had a tattoo of runes, though he wasn't sure what they meant, as they were ones he didn't know and on his neck he had angel wings, one on each side. He looked, when he heard a knock on his door, where he saw Lightning standing there.

"Come on brother" He said "The curtains about to go up and the crowd are already screaming, wanting us to appear"

"Okay, give me second" Aiden replied

Aiden took a moment, to sort out his hair, putting some spray into it, before grabbing a guitar and leaving the room he was in.

Aiden woke up and felt weird about what he saw. He was sure it was just a dream, but it felt…real. He wasn't sure what to make of it but, whatever it was, he liked it.

And that is Chapter 4 for Ace and Lightning. What do you guys think?

People seem to love this story the most, out of all the new stories I've made. Again, I am sorry if it isn't as polished as some chapters. I'm sure you noticed, but there are a couple of flashbacks in this chapter. There will be a couple of these throughout the story, showing Lightning and co on the streets, in moments where I think it fits well in the story. There was also a dream sequence of Aiden being a member of The Outcasts but it was just a dream right? Right? I guess we will have to see.

What will happen next? What will happen with Ghost and Hound? How will the Weasleys react? How will James and Lily react to Harry being back and is now called Lightning?

We'll just have to see. I hope you guys enjoyed and I will see you guys next time. Whenever that may be.
