We're back for blood, just kidding, I'm back to rearrange your guts with a stomach-churning, brain-melting, spine-tingling blade that I call, The Knife Of Stanley.
I recommend listening to Gerard Way's "Brother" if ya wanna know what I'm talking about.
The sun blessed its bright light down to earth, cowering the beasts, emerging the humans, over the night, Lily had accepted her sister's fate, ending her crying fit, a fate unknown to her, cuffing the man with a pair of handcuffs she found in a trolley near the chair, she gagged him, tying a piece of rope on his wrist, walking him like a dog, she didn't say a word, her face had no emotion as they walk down the path to Oak Hill, Mick tried his best to communicate, he couldn't find any trace of Riley and the other man, maybe they had escaped, even if all goes to hell, they all know the backup plan of meeting down south at the border, Huntington.
"Kid, do you need help?" Mick asked Lily, in her right hand was the rope, and her left arm was hugging the detached leg, "C'mon let me carry that for you,"
Nothing, her ears were plugged with a pair of earphones, blocking all noise from entering, she just walked and walked, her mind played tapes, and her eyes played tears, she watched the times when they were together, now it's blank, just a chunk of what's left.
"Alright this is how you play a song," Luna said as she showed Lily how to handle a music player, the one she had for a long time, "And this is how you pause it,"
"Thanks, Lunes," Lily replied, then she saw that no one was there, "...yeah, thank you, Luna,"
She could hear the Kaiser moaned in anger as he was walked down south, Lily gave no mercy, not one drop of her precious mercy, she didn't care that the man wore nothing on his feet, she just forced him to march, an emotionless void of anger. "Kid, you need anything?" Mick asked for the 50th time, finally making her reply, "I got what I want Mick, please just leave me alone," She had enough, she failed, to her, that warrants her death, "Just shoot me if you don't want to leave, I don't care anymore,"
"Don't be a cold sweat Lils," Luna patted her shoulder, "Things break, we can find something better,"
"Easy for you to say, Lunes," Lily replied with a small smile, and once again she wasn't even there, the tapes in her head cracked, she couldn't keep it all together, "...I'll get there,"
"Lily, you are talking to yourself," Mick said, as he ran past her, separating the little girl and the captive, "Lily, come on,"
"I'm talking to myself?" Lily said as she gave out a short chuckle, "At least your eyes are wide open now Mick, wider than the fucking sun, just leave me alone goddammit!" she outbursted, "Just. Fucking. Leave. Me. Alone!"
"Kid, look I don't really know your sister, please, but do you think she would want you to mourn her like this?!" Mick asked loudly, raising his voice in frustration.
"You don't fucking know me, you don't fucking know her, you don't fucking know what we've been through!" Lily yelled she couldn't take it anymore, "If you call this helping, you might as well just blow my bloody head off," she said as a lone tear flew down her cheeks, "So please, if you want to help, please just leave me alone," she said as she turned the volume to max just as the song "Brother" by Gerard Way played, the piano notes, in the beginning, brought Lily's mind into a trance, playing all of her memories, all of it.
The first verse hits her hard, only one person was there for her every time she falls, the only one that was there to calm her as the creature's cry blared through the night, the one that would whisper into her ears soft melodies as they cower on a dirty couch.
When the chorus arrived she could practically see the nights where Luna just sat, with a gun in her hand, watching the door as she sleeps, she wanted to talk to her, but she wouldn't, Luna was keen on giving her the best childhood, those nights where she wouldn't sleep, I knew she wasn't feeling well, she didn't eat when food wasn't there for the two of us, she wasted her life for me.
Nearing the end, the song got her to remember when they would make things up, a guitar in hand or a drum set in front, jamming silently in the back of an abandoned army jeep, imagining a crowd of people cheering them on as they sang on the rooftops of ruins, the ruins of cities, the hell turned heaven, sometimes she wondered, is she a superhero in disguise, acting as the light in dark times. The drums of the night keep her awake at night. She smiled as the song neared its end, she's not afraid to keep on living, Mick was right, Luna wouldn't want her to live in the darkness forever. The nights we stole, I'm not going to waste it.
