Salazar,

I toyed with the idea of putting 'dear' or some such thing, but it just didn't look quite right, somehow.

How have you been? The silence between us has begun to make me uncomfortable, and you should know that it takes a lot to make me uncomfortable. I'm a friend, so it's one of my jobs to worry about you, although I do know that you don't appreciate it.

I don't suppose there's much I can tell you. Much to my chagrin, I have been shipped off to Cyprus by none other than our dear Lady Ravenclaw. I'm sure she's trying to drive me insane... the lack of work to do is killing me.

Sincerely,
Godric

P.S. Watch out for the owl. He bites. Apparently.

Godric,

Good call, that.

I've been.. somewhat bored. Indeed, our.. silence has been slightly unnerving, but not as much for me, as apparently it has been for you. Though, now I know it was Rowena who sent you to Cyprus, I think I shall have much.. fun. Especially with acromantulas. She hates spiders. And, due to your.. absence, I've been given all of your work to do.

I've never been to Cyprus before. I wonder what it's like. And you talk about going insane; I'm drowning in paperwork, amongst marking last year's tests. It's hardly my fault that I haven't slept for days, the heat is killing me, I haven't had a decent meal in ages.

Oh, and I'm sending you my medical bill, because of that friggen' owl.

Yours,
Salazar

P.S. Be sure to bring me back some foreign alcohol.
