Glossary: Sol Koroleva - Sun Queen, Moya Soverenyi - My Sovereign, Moye Serdtse - My heart, lapushka - darling, honey, sweetie
I was able to make the tunnel for the skiff keeping the Volcra away as I looked out keeping my focus as I knew I was stronger now. My family was just watching as I looked out seeing those monsters but my heart went out to them because I knew the truth. Women, children, and men were still stuck in this area. I knew they wanted to reach us if they could but we made it through as we had the resources and as we walked off the skiff once we were back on our side of Ravka as the Grisha cheered.
Aleksander raised my hand as if to give me the credit for what was going on then he led me to his coach as we got in and my family was in the other one. We were almost about to move when I got out and went to get Genya as She grabbed her kit then got in the coach. Genya looked nervous but we were already moving as she waited till we were steady before checking her work.
"You look fine, but why did you pull me here?" Genya asked, "I didn't want you to walk and I missed your company." I admitted with a shrug
Aleksander watched but then he took my hand pulling me over making me sit on his lap which made me blush. I knew this was his coach he could do as he pleased, not like I was complaining but we were closer with being over in West Ravka. Genya smiled watching us as I didn't get to say anything because Aleksander adjusted me. "Genya, Amira is coming around but she has her hesitations on the wedding but maybe you could work through those worries she has." Aleksander said
"Of course, maybe for the next party the royals have and there is no rush." Genya said as I appreciated someone was on my side that there was someone who saw my point. Aleksander did not seem happy with this answer but I knew there was no rush. The way back was long but we managed to get there safely as we got out and I stretched with my cloak.
It's done, We're connected but Baghra was wrong. I am not a slave. I thought
As we made it back into the little palace some of the Grisha soldiers were worried about the king sick and the apparat missing. I assured them to calm down as they listened to me even though Aleksander was to lead them. I talked them into going into life as usual which they agreed as they walked away going to their normal routine. Aleksander stood beside me as I put my hands down under the black cloak "Impressive, you calmed them down and got them to trust you so easily." Aleksander said, "they are my allies, why would I lie to them?" I asked
I went to my room where my things were already prepared, I figured Ivan was already here and left it so I wouldn't have to. I changed out of this golden dress with the black for the design as I was ready to put their Sol Koroleva back somewhere far away. I would be that to those who worshipped the Sun Queen but no one else. I dressed in my normal clothes and black kefta as I went to see Baghra for once.
Baghra was in her place as I knocked on the door before walking in taking a seat as she sat across from me. She seemed to be examining me as she walked close, moving the collar of my Kefta not seeing the stag bones showing. I waited as she looked at me for a few minutes and then waited till she sat back down.
"So how did you do it? How did you make the tunnel without the stag?" Baghra asked
"I do have the stag's bones, Baghra, he put them on me the moment I agreed to it." I said as she didn't look happy, "I absorbed it the moment it was fused with me and he is connected to me but I still have control. I am not his slave and I accidentally used the cut." Hearing that somehow I used the cut caught her attention.
"How did you do it?" Baghra asked and I shrugged, still unsure myself, Aleksander wanted me to do it again but I had no idea how.
After that, we started to work on my training again so I could figure out how to do the cut. It didn't come without its problems but she said I was like Aleksander when he was a child trying to learn it without focusing. To be compared to my fiancé was not helping me but I still proceeded to do what she asked. She moved me outside when it was dark as we kept going but she kept pushing me to my limits.
"You almost had it." Baghra said
I sighed a bit as I focused like when I was protecting against the West Ravkan soldiers and when I had my focus the cut formed and I used it on the tree. Breathing heavily I fell to my knees knowing that there was not enough time today to do it again. "You are getting more powerful but you must be careful." Baghra said, I wanted to say something or do anything when I felt someone lift me off the ground. "She's had enough for today, mother, the cut and making a tunnel. Soon you'll be talking her into Merzost." Aleksander said
He took me away from there as I didn't even fight him, closing my eyes as I relaxed while he walked. "Lapushka, you need to not push yourself so hard." Aleksander said and I didn't feel like arguing. I was tired but I needed a bath and he set me on my feet as he put a hand on his cheek. "Moye Serdtse, sleep in my room. People might come looking for you in your room and I'd rather not lose you."
"I appreciate that but I need a few things from my room and I just want a bath right now." I assured him
I walked into my room going to the bathroom and just prepared a bath as I got in to relax. For the first time, I appreciated the little palace big bath that was here. I needed to figure out everything over time but this was something no hotel had and no other home had. The water was great as I washed up then got ready for bed. Then I walked to Aleksander's room having the robe that Genya left on seeing Ivan.
"More war talk before bed? I asked, "Nothing, you need to worry about Milaya." Aleksander said as he went over and hugged me. "It can all be taken care of tomorrow, you need sleep after your training."
I nodded as Ivan bowed "Moi Soverenyi, Moya Soverenyi have a good night." Ivan said before leaving for the night.
Aleksander led me to the bed where we laid down on the bed and I fell asleep instantly in the black silk sheets. I wasn't going to move to the next level with him until I was sure and right now I was still debating where I wanted our relationship to go.
