Wearing the now srunken invisibilaty cloak, Jerry made his way to the libraly. No sign of Filch or any prefects. Jerry slowly made his way to the restricted section. Once he entered, he looked around for Flamel.
"Nicholas Flamel. Where is he?" He asked quietly.
Harry Jerry looked, he hopped up on one of the selves. He found a good deal of books but only one of them had to have Flamel.
"Okay. Let's try this one."
The mouse pulled the said book down and opened it. Until he saw the title of the book.
Dark magic info.
"No. This is the wrong book." He said as he was about to close it and put it back.
Until he saw the page it was on. It listed three unforgivable curses that leads to a one way trip to Azkaban Prison. The page got to Jerry as he read it to himself.
"Imperius Curse. Incantation: Imperio. The victim of this spell is cursed to preform unquestioned bidding. The Imperius Curse holds the person under his or her free will and carry out whatever task the casted says."
Jerry shivered as he throught about people being forced to work for Voldemort under that curse. By then, he looked at the next one.
"Cruciatus Curse. Incantation: Crucio. This curse is infliced excruciating pain upon the victim. The efects of the curse depend on the desires and emotions of the caster to truly despise the victim and enjoy causing pain."
Jerry began to feel bad for all those who could have been placed under the curse in the war. Just as he looked at the last curse.
"Killing Curse. Incantation: Avada Kedavra. The green light from the caster will seporate the sole of the victims body with instent death. This curse bypasses all shild charms and there is no counter. For many years not one was known to servive this curse."
Not one? Jerry knew it now. Voldemort used that curse to kill Harry but somehow Harry had servived it. So this book was part wrong.
Just as Jerry was gonna close it, he saw the page next to the one he read. This one got to him even more.
"Horcruxes. Dark objects in which a dark witch or wizard hides a frigment of his or her soul in order to become immortal. Meaning he or she will never die. Horcruxes can only be created after comiting murder. The process of creating one involved a spell and a horrific act was preformed soon after the committed murder. Given that those who made them, there were always protective measures made to preent them from being stolen or distroyed. Such as counter charms and curses. Horcruxes were considered the most terrible of all dark magic."
Then Jerry thought about it. And it hit him.
"That's it. Horcruxes. Voldemort could have servived because of horcruxes. He might have some hidden somewhere."
"Who's there?"
"Uh oh. Here comes Filch."
Jerry quickly put the book back and ran away before Filch arrived.
"Where are you? I know you're in here! Show yourself!"
Jerry quickly ran without stopping for anything. Though he was invisible, the cloak didn't stop him from being solid. He then ran through the key hole of a door near by before Filch had found him.
Once he was safe, the mouse took the cloak off for a while. He then looked at where he was.
It looked like an unused classroom. Very few desks and chairs were there. But in the back was a mirror. Jerry walked in front of the mirror. Before he knew it, something odd happened.
He was standing in a room full of cheese. The floor, the cealing, the walls, ther furniter, everything was made of cheese. He was wearing a kings crown and the invisibilaty cloak was turned into a kings cloak.
The real Jerry looked back but didn't see anything from what he saw in the mirror.
"I gotta show this to the others." He said as he put the cloak back on and ran back to Gryffindor Tower.
"Pig Snout."
"Hmm. Who's there?" The fat lady asked as she opened up the passage.
Without another word, Jerry dashed through the portaite hole and found Harry and Tom in the common room.
"Did you find anything?" Harry asked.
"Never mind. You guys need to see this."
"See what?" Tom asked. "Is this a trick?"
"Why would I trick you about something amazing?"
"Just show us." Harry said before the cat and mouse could get into another fight.
"Where's the others? They need to see this too."
Later, Harry made the cloak back to normal size for himself. After getting Ginny, Luna, and Neville, Jerry lead the other five to the classroom where he found the mirror.
"Right there."
"That's it? A mirror?" Tom asked.
"The moment I looked at it, I was in this room full of cheese and I was the king of a cheese kingdom." Said Jerry.
"You're joking right?" Ginny asked.
"No. Look."
"I only see us."
"Here." Jerry said as he moved away from the mirror. "Look in it properly."
Ginny managed to get a proper look in the mirror.
There was an older woman in her place. And she looked beautiful. Next to her was a man with black hair like Harry. And he had glasses like Harry. And even gree eyes like Harry.
Like Harry.
That is Harry. And Ginny then found out that she was that woman in the mirror. And next to them were two boys playing with toy wands. On her arms was baby which Ginny can tell was a girl.
"Ginny?" Luna asked.
Ginny then looked up at the text on top of the mirror that Jerry had failed to see before.
Erised stra ehur oyt ube oyt on wohsi.
Ginny couldn't make it out until she realized that it was writen backwards and then read it backwords.
"I show not your face but your hearts desire."
"Wait a minute." Said Tom. "Let me have a look."
Ginny moved away so Tom can look.
He saw Toodles Galore. The girl cat he had fallen in love with when they were kittens. They were married and have six kittens of their own.
"Let me have a look." Said Neville.
Tom moved away so Neville can go.
"Whoa. I'm head boy. And Quidditch caption. I'm holding the house cup and the Quidditch cup. And Dumbledore's shaking my hand. And...who's that next to me?"
Neville looked at the woman next to him. She had sandy blond hair, silver eyes, and a copy of the Quibbler.
Then Neville found out. It was Luna. By then, Neville's mirror self had turned into an older version of himself and they had their own kids running around them.
"Can I look?" Harry asked.
Neville moved away and let Harry look.
Harry saw a man and a woman walk next to him. He looked closer at them. The woman was very pretty. She looked like an older version of Ginny. But her eyes were just like Harry's. And the man looked like an older version of Harry. Until,
"Mum? Dad?"
"Harry?" Ginny asked.
It was them. Harry's parents. He never got any pictures of them becuse of the Dursley's hating him because of them hating magic. He was looking at his parents for the first time. And behind them were what had to be other members of the Potter family.
In the back of the room, Harry also saw Tom and Jerry as elders. They were married. With them was who Harry knew who had to be Toodle Galore and Cherie Mouse whom Tom and Jerry fell in love with. And they had their own kids.
"Can I have a turn?" Luna asked.
Harry snapped out of it and let Luna have a go.
Luna looked. A woman was next to her. A woman who had died 2 years ago. She loved to experement with new spells until she got killed in one of her experements.
It was her mother. Pandora Lovegood. Oh how she missed her.
"Yes. I know how it feels to lose someone you love Luna."
The six jumped at the sound of the new voice. Dumbledore was right there sitting on one of the chairs.
"Professor. We didn't see you." Said Neville.
"Strange how being near sited makes me invisible to you." He said. "I see you like hundresd before you six have discovered the delights of The Mirror of Erised."
"Is that what it was called?" Jerry asked.
"Ah yes you didn't know what it was called but I excpect you realized what it does."
"I show not your face but your hearts desire." Tom said as he remembered Ginny reading the text on top backwords.
"That is what the text told you."
"How long were you," Tom was about to ask but,
"I don't need a cloak to become invisible do I? Let me explane. The happiest men on earth would be able to use The Mirror of Erised like a normal is he would look into it and see himself as he exictly is. It shows us nothing more than the deepest more despret desiers in our hearts. You who have never known your family see them standing before you.
However, this mirror gives us neither truth or knowledge. Men have waisted away before it. Entrance by what they had seen. Or even driven mad. Not knowing if what it shows us is even real or even possible. Which is why it will be moved to a new home tomorrow so I must ask you not to look for it again. But if you do come across it again, you'll be ready for it. it does not do well to only think about dreams and forget to live. Remember that. Now why not put the cloak back on and head on back?"
"Yes sir." Said Harry.
"Professor." Said Tom. "What do you see in the mirror?"
"I see myself holding a nice pare of thick woolen socks. One can never have too many socks. Alas. Another Christmas has come and gone and I never got a singal pare. People always insist of giving me books."
Once the they returned to the dormitory, Jerry told them about what he found out in the library.
"I may not have found anything on who Nicholas Flamel is. But I did find something intresting."
Before Tom could protest, Jerry told them all about the unforgivable curses and the horcruxes.
"What I'm saying, Harry was the first known person to servive the killing curse but Voldemort might still be alive because he might have made horcruxes."
"I dought it." Said Tom.
"But Jerry could be right." Said Ginny.
"Except there's one problem about this." Said Neville. "We're not aloud to know this until we're at our N.E. . That's what the ministry says."
"I guess so." Said Luna.
"I guess we should just drop the subject on Flamel for now." Said Harry. "It's not like Quirrell's gonna get past Fluffy anyway."
Of course, when they made their way to the dorms, Harry began to wonder.
Did Dumbledore want them to find the mirror again?
Authors note:
It upsets me the way others thought about Dumbledore. But for I think, Dumbledore had no idea about what happened until the end of each book up to sixth year.
Harry only thinks Dumbledore wanted him to find the mirror again though Dumbledore didn't. Just a poor choice of word from him.
