Lelouch woke up to crying. He laid there with his eyes closed thinking about what happened. He died. He knew that. Suzaku killed him as the mysterious hero, Zero, according to his plan. But the crying Suzaku would not have spared him. The Japanese man would kill him to avenge his princess, and Lelouch would not resist to save his sister and create the world that she desired.
"Big brother. I love you." He heard over the crying. His eyes snapped open and he saw her. Nunnally. His little sister. She was sitting in a wheelchair next to the bed he was in. Her eyes closed.
"Nunnally?" He asked.
The girl froze. She slowly looked at him. At his face. She reached a trembling hand out and touched him.
"B-big brother, i-is that really you?" She asked with hope filling her voice.
"Yes, it's me Nunnally." The former prince answered.
"Big brother!" She began crying again, hugging him with her face in his chest.
Lelouch looked around the room as he patted her back comfortingly. He saw a calendar on the wall that had a day, presumably today, that said school. The calendar was filled with days marked as school, weekend, or day off. Suddenly something on his side table buzzed. He glanced at it and saw it was a phone. With a slight frown he reached over and grabbed it. It was a notification that said that it was time for school.
"Nunna," his sister looked up at him, tears still in her eyes, "we have school today." Her face went through several emotions, confusion, disappointment, and annoyance stand out most among them. Then he noticed something. "You can see." He said with a kind smile on his face.
Nunnally gave a small laugh. "You just noticed? I thought you were supposed to be observant."
Lelouch gave a chuckle. "I guess not, Nunna. Now go get ready for school. We have to act like nothing strange is happening."
"What do you mean, big brother?"
"We don't know what's going on yet, so we need to go with whatever happens."
"Ok. I guess we can do that."
After Nunnally left the room, Lelouch headed to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He smiled seeing his normal violet eyes. After a moment he summoned his geass and both of his eyes changed into the familiar color of red with a bird symbol. "I still have my geass. That's good to know. It also seems like I can control it better now." He said then turned his geass off. "I'll have to make an order of. contacts again. Just in case. He went back to his room and got ready for school.
After getting ready and helping his sister get ready, the two left for school together. Happily talking to each other the entire time. When they got to the school, a place called Kuoh Academy, they froze in place. There was a girl waiting at the entrance.
"Eu-Euphy?" Nunnally asked once again in a hopeful voice. Hoping that another one of her siblings was in this place.
"Nunna! Lulu!" Euphemia called out and ran over to them. "Is it really you?"
"Yes Euphy, it's us." Lelouch replied.
"I'm so glad! When I met Suzaku I hoped that you two would be here too. I haven't found big sister Cornelia yet though." Euphemia finished with a sad look on her face.
"Suzaku is here!" Lelouch gave a worried look.
"Yes. My knight is here." Euphemia beamed.
"Do you know if anyone else is here?" Nunnally asked.
"Let's see, there were you two, me and Suzaku, and Kallen." She lists off.
"Kallen." Lelouch replied, stunned.
"Yes, Kallen." Euphy replied
"Is she here yet?" Nunnally asked.
"Nope. I was going to wait for her and talk to her too."
"I'll do it. You two go ahead and head to class." Lelouch replied.
"Are you sure, big brother?" Both former princesses asked him
"Yes. She's more likely to trust me than she'll trust you." Lelouch assured his two favorite sisters.
"Ok then." Euphemia replied.
"If you're sure, big brother." Nunnally nodded in acceptance.
"I'm sure." The two gave each other a look then turned to him and nodded before Euphemia started wheeling Nunnally to her class.
After about ten minutes of waiting and greeting people as they walked in he finally saw Kallen and two other girls heading to school together.
"Hello girls." Lelouch greeted, trying to get Kallen's attention without drawing attention to the fact that he just wanted to talk to her.
The two girls walking with Kallen started whispering to each other and her about him. He must have a similar reputation to the one he had at Ashford.
"Le-louch." Kallen said. "Lelouch, Lelouch, Lelouch, Lelouch." Her eyes focussed with every repetition, she looked up, and saw him.
"Hello Kallen." Lelouch stared at her trying to make sure that it was the Kallen that he knew. He watched as her face flashed through several emotions: relief, anger, sadness, and acceptance.
"Lelouch, we need to talk." The two girls behind her started whispering to each other. Probably either impressed or upset that she would talk like that to him.
"Of course." He replied with his smirk, so that she would have no doubt that he knew that she knew that they were both here. I wonder if she's going to shoot me this time.
