The One I Believe In
"If I believe in one thing, just one thing, I believe in Her."
------------------------------
I believe in Her.
My one true faith, I suppose. As we have traveled together, she has seen me through fire and flood. She has been more than just my constant companion. She is my equal partner.
I can't even begin to count the times that she has saved me. Saved me from danger. Saved me from myself. Saved me from loneliness.
She is the love of my life and my best friend. Though I leave everyone else, and everyone else leaves me, she is the one I could never abandon.
She will see me through this as well.
Of course I believe in Her.
My TARDIS.

-Author's note-
Just an idea that has been running through my mind ever since Parting of the Ways. In that episode I started to wonder how much of it was Rose, and how much of it was the TARDIS itself, not willing to lose The Doctor. We know that the TARDIS is sentient, and I've often thought that The Doctor and the TARDIS share a much deeper relationship than it appears on the surface; that they have a connection on an almost instinctual level. When The Doctor said this line in Satan's Pit, it got me to thinking – I'm not sure he was referring to Rose when he said it. I think he loves Rose, as far as that goes, and he was just previously referring to not wanting to sacrificing her. But I'm not sure he would have such a deep, abiding faith in her. The TARDIS, on the other hand…….
