From the surveillance videos, someone's shady figure loomed over the screen as they watched Roxy, Monty and Chica surrounding the likes of Gregory, Vanessa and Freddy. All three slowly closed in with malicious intent in their eyes, all the while the viewer simply enjoying himself. Out of the corner of their eye, they happen to take notice of another animatronic found within the building. Its signal showed it had been turned off sometime back, but it was paid no mind….
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
SUPERSTAR EDITION -
Hour 1.1: Survive Until Six! Gregory Suits Up!
~ 12:00 am | Utility Tunnels - West Side ~
Vanessa, Gregory and Freddy remained cluttered together between the animatronic stalkers without any signs or thoughts of an escape plan. From behind Freddy, Gregory could only look back nervously at Chica, Monty and Roxy. The three former friends of Freddy were now sinister figures crowding in on them with glowing purple pupils in their eyes. Meanwhile, Vanessa brought out her flashlight, attempting to activate the strobe mode. But it still would not turn on.
"Damn it! If my flashlight was working, I could maybe stun them long enough to get by. They AREN'T supposed to be good with flashing lights. But, of course, my batteries HAVE to be dead!" Vanessa thought. Freddy's eyes remained fixated on Monty and Chica.
"Chica….Monty…R-Roxy….why? What could've happened to you?" he asked "You were…acting normally earlier tonight." He thought back to their playful chatter just before he found Gregory. Their smiles soon faded away as their evil glares clouded his memory. He then looked back at Gregory, gripping his leg with both hands.
"I…do not know what is going on. But…until then, I MUST protect Gregory. We are NOT MADE to harm our guests. And I will uphold that tradition." he said, his resolve growing. He then looked back to the others, turning their gaze to him.
"Officer Vanessa? Gregory? Please cover your ears for a moment. This won't sound pretty." he said. Vanessa quickly understood what he meant, encouraging Gregory to listen. They then hurried to cover their ears as Freddy took a deep breath. What followed next was him emitting a loud, deep pitched roar from his mouth. The sound of it echoed around the room, causing Roxy and the others to begin freezing in place, covering their ears as if they were in agonizing pain. Gregory could not believe his eyes with hands still over his ears.
"W-What was THAT?!" Gregory yelled.
"It's Freddy's "Roar" function! It's meant to be a warning signal he puts out whenever he or the other animatronics detect something hostile! He's using it to momentarily stun them!" Vanessa loudly replied. Freddy turned back to the others with a determined look.
"Hurry! Let us go! I do not know how long this will stun them! But we MUST leave! Now!" he explained. The two nodded and began hurrying off ahead with the big bear close behind. However, as Freddy ran, he could not help but take a momentary glance back at his friends writhing from the sound.
"I am sorry….my friends. I WILL help you though! I promise!" he thought. The trio continued running, climbing a few more flights of stairs until they reached the door leading back towards the main entrance of the Pizzaplex. They burst the doors open as the two humans stopped to catch their breath. But Freddy remained vigilant, looking back behind him.
"F-Freddy…grab a broom from the nearby office and….p-pry the door shut!" Vanessa stated between gasps of air. The animatronic nodded and rushed towards one of the reception counters, grabbing a sturdy handled broom and returned to the door. He stuck it inbetween the handles as a means to keep Monty and the others from breaking through. Vanessa and Gregory, sensing the worst behind them, flopped to the ground exhausted.
~ 12:02 am | Mega Pizzaplex - Main Entrance and Lobby ~
The threat now over, Vanessa turned her attention towards the main entrance. However, to her dismay, the shutters had activated before they arrived and were now closed. Gregory looked towards the shutters with a look of shock.
"N-No way. Did…Did we not make it?" he asked.
"I am afraid not, Gregory. We did not make it out before the doors close for the night." Freddy said. Vanessa sighed, getting herself back up.
"Sorry, kiddo. There's no way for us to open it from here. Those shutters are on a timer the technicians installed into the main security network. Unless you have a high enough clearance level, they'll stay closed until the place re-opens at 6 am….which is when I retire and head home." she explained. She then glanced towards one of the receptionist counters by the entrance and saw a light emitting from one of the computers.
"Unless…." she thought. Without a word, she hinted Freddy and Gregory to follow her. But while they did, the eye of one of the security cameras zoomed in on them. And on the other end, the mystery observer was not very pleased by what he witnessed. It let out a heavy sigh.
"OF COURSE. OUT OF ALL OF THEM, IT HAD TO BE YOU….FREDDY."
Just then, their eyes glanced back towards the main console screen and noticed the inactive animatronic displayed among the others. Shifting over towards it, the observer read over the details before chuckling softly.
"WELL, WELL…LOOKS LIKE NOT EVERYONE…HAS COME OUT TO PLAY."
They tapped the shadowed over icon, beginning the activation of the currently inactive animatronic. The robot in question could be found in the lower storage containers beneath the Pizzaplex, found in a different location from the utility tunnels. It stood within one of the sealed storage crates as a sole eye lit up in the dark confides of the crate, a purple color emitting from its pupil. Though not viewable, sounds could be heard inside of footsteps marching forward against the metal walls of the crate. However, it came to an abrupt halt as the animatronic bumped head first into the door. The impact caused the purple emitted from its eye to vanish, seemingly back to normal.
"D'ouch! Oh! My poor NOSE!" the animatronic groaned in a pirate accent. Just then, the realization of it being confided to a storage crate came to its attention.
"H-Hold on a bloomin' minute! W-Where da heck am I?! And why's it so dark in here?!" the voice asked "Argh! T-There's gotta be SOME kind of door or something I can open!" The animatronic began fishing around the walls of the crate until it came upon what felt like a slide handle for a door. Locking its fingers in the gripper, it let out a victorious laugh.
"Harr harr HARR! EXCELLENT!" it shouted as the door was flung open "FREEEDOM!" The animatronic then leapt out into the partially lit warehouse, striking a pose afterwards. Upon closer inspection, the animatronic was that of a red fox-like pirate, complete with an eye patch covering one of its eyes. It wore a well crafted captain outfit, complete with a pair of baggy pants down its robotic legs. At its waist was a realistic prop sword that remained sheathed. The silence of the empty warehouse eventually settled in as the fox looked around in utter confusion. It took a moment to raise up its eye patch, showing another animatronic eye, to survey the room. Not a single soul was around for miles, not even a staff bot or two.
"Ummm…hello? A-Anybody here?" it asked in a more whimpy sounding voice "Yoo-hoo…" Its lonesome voice echoed around the empty room.
~ 12:05 am | Receptionist Counter ~
Upstairs, Vanessa and Gregory went to access one of the computers found at the reception counter by the front. Meanwhile, Freddy was seen confided to a nearby recharge station tube built specifically for the animatronics. While Vanessa typed away, Gregory couldn't help but glance over at him. Vanessa caught notice.
"It's okay, Gregory." she said "Freddy just needed to have his battery recharged. He did a lot today." She then looked back to the screen as she was attempting to access the main network through the receptionist's computer.
"Still wish he wasn't on "reduced power" right now. I know he had that wipeout on stage…but what a rotten time to have his battery the way it is." she thought. Just then, she noticed an error screen appear before her. She groaned and pounded the desk with one hand.
"Dang it!" she groaned.
"W-What? What's wrong?" Gregory asked. Vanessa sighed heavily.
"Looks like whatever's affected the animatronics has ALSO caused me to become locked out of accessing the network….even though I should already have high enough clearance." she explained "Looks like I CAN'T just turn off nighttime protocol and open the doors for you." Gregory gasped.
"Because this is an emergency, I'll have to call your parents and let them know what happened. Maybe we can get the police involved from outside." she continued, reaching for a phone. But her hand stopped when she heard Gregory sigh.
"Hmmm? Something wrong?" she asked. The young boy looked to the side in shame.
"That won't work. B-Because….I don't have a family. I'm….an orphan living on the streets." he explained. Vanessa lightly gasped.
"No way…" she said softly "B-But what about the local orphanage? Surely they took you in?" Gregory turned back to her and shook his head.
"Poor kid…" she thought. Without a word, she shifted back towards the computer screen, seeking to give Gregory some alone time.
"Ugh! This is just GREAT! As if the scary "rabbit lady" dragging me here wasn't bad enough, now I have to stay here for an entire night while dangerous robots try to catch me?!" he yelled. Just then, Vanessa lightly gasped, turning back to him.
"Wait. What did you say about a "rabbit lady"?" she asked.
"That's how I ended up here in the first place. Someone in a rabbit suit attacked me and I woke up later in that office you left me in." he said "What if she's in here too?" Vanessa paused for a moment, glancing back at the error screen.
"Maybe THAT'S who is tampering with Roxy and the others…AND the reason why I'm locked out. But…what does this "rabbit person" want with Gregory or us?" she thought. A realization then hit her as she went back to access another program. As she did, Freddy had just emerged from the recharge station.
"What are you doing, Officer Vanessa?" Freddy asked.
"Trying to see if we have any security footage from just before this all started…" she replied. To her luck, she happened to find her way into the security camera feed of the main floors, proudly smiling.
"OKAY! Now we're getting somewhere!" she shouted. She used the tools at her disposal to rewind the footage back by a few hours, roughly around or earlier than the same time Freddy had collapsed. To her surprise, while viewing one of the videos from around the loading docks, she noticed something caught on the monitor. Allowing it to play showed them the likes of the white "rabbit lady" carrying in Gregory's unconscious body while merrily skipping its happy way inside from the closing back door.
"T-That's her! That's the weirdo who brought me here!" Gregory proclaimed, pointing to her on screen.
"Okay. This was….roughly around nine o'clock….from the loading docks in back." Vanessa thought "Let me think. What time did Freddy pass out on stage again?" Just then, they noticed that the rabbit lady on screen had strangely dropped Gregory off by the other doorway leading to the docks. This had Vanessa puzzled.
"That's…weird. She just left you there? But…that's where I later found you." Vanessa explained. Gregory groaned.
"Probably trying to hide my body someplace until she could finish the job." he said, feeling somewhat ashamed. Freddy leaned over the counter.
"Do not worry, superstar. If she did not leave you, then you wouldn't have met Officer Vanessa or myself. You would not have anyone watching over you right now." he said, attempting to cheer him up. Gregory paused for a moment, mulling over Freddy's words, before looking back with a nod.
"Yeah. I guess so." he said. Vanessa looked back to the security footage, now sped up to the point that it recorded her arriving and locating Gregory's body.
"Well, I have a feeling NONE of us are leaving here until we figure out who this "child abducting rabbit lady" is, how she must be involved with everything going haywire and how we can fix Roxy, Monty and Chica." she said "Freddy? The entry gates leading towards the shopping malls should still be functional. Do me a favor and bring Gregory there, find him something his size and bring him back here." While the two looked puzzled, Vanessa peered into a nearby drawer before finding something and plucking it out. It appeared to be a small device with a orb-shaped light on top.
"This is one of the tracking devices the technicians use for when they have to monitor animatronics following a routine repair. All we have to do is attach it to something Gregory is wearing…and we should be able to know where he is." she said, passing it to the robot.
"Wait. How are you going to do that?" Gregory asked. Vanessa grinned, picking up a set of watches sitting next to the computer and showing them to him.
"With these. These are called "Fazwatches". They normally are novelty gifts we sell at the gift shop. HOWEVER, these are specially designed versions given to people with positions like myself." she explained "These have access to security cameras, a layout map of the building and are capable of having messages sent between each other. Once we put a tracking device on you, all we gotta do is sync the signal up to one of them…" Freddy soon understood where Vanessa was heading.
"And you'll be able to know where Gregory is even if you are somewhere else looking into things. This is most excellent! We'll be able to keep in touch with one another!" Freddy continued as Vanessa nodded. She handed one of the two watches to Gregory, looking back with a face full of worry.
"It's okay, Gregory. I know it seems like I won't be here for you ALWAYS. But…in case things get hard, just know that you've got a walking "guardian angel" in the form of our star animatronic." she said, hinting at Freddy. Freddy placed a hand against his chest.
"I promised you I would safely see you out of the Pizzaplex, Gregory. And…while the situation may have changed…I WILL help you find another way out or fulfill my promise until the doors open again. I won't let you go it alone." he explained. Vanessa lightly smiled, watching the two of them from over her shoulder before returning to the computer.
~ 12:09 am | Elsewhere Below ~
Returning to the darkened halls below the Pizzaplex main floor, the animatronic pirate from before was seen walking around. It continuously checked the dead silent storage area before angrily crossing its arms, tapping its foot against the ground.
"What kind of way is THIS to treat one of yer stars, Fazbear Entertainment?! How long did you plan on lockin' me away, anyhoo?!" it asked annoyingly "Ugh! I swear by me name as a pirate, Cap'n Foxy WILL find a way back to me rightful place at my pirate ship! Then….oh ho ho! We'll need to have a NICE, LONG CHAT….manager." With a huff, it then continued off looking for an exit.
