Back in the Lost and Found Office, while Vanessa and Foxy were fighting for their lives against the animatronic horde sent after them by Vanny and "Willie", Freddy could still be seen slumbering inside a recharge station nearby. And still situated comfortably in his chest compartment was Gregory, snoring lightly. However, the boy was beginning to suffer from realistic nightmares as he began fidgeting about. In his dreams, he was all alone running from the likes of nightmare forms of Monty, Chica and Roxy tailing him. He continuously cried out to someone for help, not specifically naming Vanessa or Freddy, before tripping over his own two feet. He was flung to the ground and rushed to get back up. But he soon saw his body beginning to get stuck in the ground, as if it was a black colored quicksand pit, as he looked back at the frightening forms of the animatronics closing in and each laughing in a demonic tone….

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
- SUPERSTAR EDITION -

Hour 2.3: Coming to the Rescue! Find Vanessa!

As the evil animatronics lunged at him in his nightmare, Gregory was startled awake as he let out a loud scream. In the panic, he moved too far foward and wound up headbutting against the shell of Freddy's chest. The bump quickly woke the sleeping animatronic as well, eyes opening the same time.

"Owww….that's smarts." Gregory groaned, rubbing his forehead. From inside, he heard Freddy vacating the recharge station before opening up his compartment panels to let him see the office again.

"Good morning, superstar….or it would be. Did you get enough rest?" Freddy asked. The boy yawned and rubbed his eyes before slowly climbing out. He then stretched his legs and arms out.

"Well, it wasn't my ideal bed at first. But something about being inside you felt…safe. Safer than I ever felt sleeping outside in an alley." he said. Freddy's eyes turned briefly sad, not wanting to imagine his current life outside the Pizzaplex. But he soon regained his good demeanor as Gregory turned back to him.

"Do you think Vanessa and Foxy found out what's going on here? I…don't think I heard a word from them since." he asked. Freddy put his hand to his chin.

"Now that you mention it…" he said, glancing at the nearby clock "It has been AWFULLY quiet for the last half hour or so. I will see if Vanessa has sent me any messages. Perhaps you should check your Fazwatch as well." Gregory quickly brought up his watch while Freddy began humming, searching through the files stored inside his system. But Gregory was the first to find something gruesome left behind on his Fazwatch. He read a message from Vanessa in what seemed to be a worn out fashion.

Gregory…..Freddy…..help me….

He quickly showed the alarming message to Freddy, quickly growing a look of fear on his face.

"W-What could have happened? Were they attacked by the others?!" Freddy asked. Gregory withdrew his arm and looked once more at the message.

"This is bad. We gotta go, Freddy. Let's head over to the main atrium and look." he said. Freddy nodded before opening his hatch to allow him back inside, stopping first to collect his pack.

The pair hurried as quickly as they could to the next floor up, taking the elevator at the back end of the main entrance. The two then took the shut down escalators down, only to see the partially ruined grounds and walls caused by the fight with the corrupted animatronics. Freddy's mouth was left gaping open as Gregory was let out. The first thing the young child noticed was the wrecked keytar that the brute Bonnie was using as a weapon and cracks left in the wall from when Foxy was being beaten down by Roxanne. Freddy glanced down and saw a partial reflection of himself in cracked tiles on the ground beneath him.

"What…happened here?" Gregory asked "It looks like….a fight broke out." Freddy surveyed the room, running a diagnostic scan with his eyes.

"If so, that can only leave us asking….who won?" he said. Just then, his sensors seemed to pick up something as he stopped at the sight of Vanny's knife. He marched over and picked it up, calling Gregory over. He couldn't help but get a sickening feeling at the sight of it.

"Gregory…..I'm…worried something horrible must've happened to our friends." he explained "We should hurry and find them. I'll see if I can connect to the main network again and access any security footage." Gregory remained dead silent, looking down at his eyes reflecting off the knife. His silence caused Freddy to quickly turn back to him.

"Gregory? What is wrong? You have not said anything." he asked. Still holding onto the knife, he turned away from Freddy before simply letting it drop to the ground.

"F-Freddy? If…If I asked you…to help me make a break for it, w-would you?" he asked, shaken once again. Freddy looked slightly surprised.

"I already had to deal with that tense moment at the Daycare. But…I don't think I have the "will" to keep fighting. Especially if I'm dealing with a group of blood hungry robots." he said "I…I just want to get out of here….with my HEAD." Freddy faintly caught the sight of tears dripping down Gregory's cheek. He had turned away so the robotic bear did not see him weep. In his mind, Gregory thought back to when he was cornered in the play structure and Foxy was fighting the corrupted Sun alone. The insane look on the animatronic's face still haunted his thoughts.

"G-Gregory…" Freddy stuttered. The young boy sniffled and wiped his tears away before slightly glancing back.

"I know….it sounds like I want to just run away. B-But…it's the sad truth, Freddy." he said "I…can't just risk my neck for a random lady I met and a tin can fox….both of whom could probably handle themselves fine without YOUR help." Gregory awaited Freddy's answer, expecting him to speak brashly about him willing to abandon them. But he soon felt a hand atop his head. Looking back, he saw Freddy's concerned face.

"It's….all right, Gregory. I know that…this whole experience is probably something that would make you…never want to come back to this place. But…please, know that Vanessa, Foxy and I want to help you." he said "You were willing to put yourself in harm's way to help Foxy. I saw it in your eyes." Gregory lightly gasped.

"I know that, deep down, you are a brave young man on the inside…" he said, pointing to his chest "Someone that would never let anything bad come to those you care about. Even if you do not have a family, perhaps…the idea of thinking of us as "family" will help motivate you." The two remain silent, their eyes looking back at one another. Gregory slowly brought one of his hands up to his chest, tightened into a fist, before slowly opening it.

"Think of you…as my f-family…?" he thought. In his mind, he began envisioning the likes of Vanessa as his caring mother, Freddy as a father figure and, to his humor, Foxy as the "fun loving uncle". He then started to wonder how Freddy's friends would fit in. He quickly pieced together other scenarios such as Monty being a protective big brother while Roxy and Chica were his older sisters. In enough time, Freddy saw a small smile come to his face.

"Y'know…that paints one really WEIRD family picture." he replied, both laughing briefly. The bear removed his hand as Gregory kept envisioning it in their mind.

"Maybe…I could convince Vanessa to…let me stay with her. Y-You think she would…?" he asked, looking up to Freddy who merely nodded back.

"As I said before, so long as you are here in the Pizzaplex…you are my guest. And I would rather let myself fall into a state of disarray….than let something HORRIBLE happen to you. THAT is how important you are…to not only me, but Vanessa also." Freddy replied. Gregory lightly smirked, rubbing away any leftover tears.

"All right….you convinced me. C'mon. We've got a security guard…and "robotic pirate" to find." he said, adjusting the straps of his backpack. But shortly after, they heard someone slowly closing in on them. With a gasp, Gregory turned back to see Chica stumbling her way towards them. However, it seemed that the animatronic had no idea he was present yet.

"Is…Is that Chica?" he whispered. Suddenly, the bird stopped dead in her tracks, startling the two of them. She then slowly turned her head, spotting Gregory and Freddy. The two prepared to fight back, taking a stance against her. But rather than charge at him, like before, Chica slowly raised her arm and pointed towards a sign that read "Bonnie Bowl". Aside it was Bonnie's likeness painted against the wall. The two questionably glanced at one another before Chica attempted speech again.

She's…..up there…..

Hearing her voice caused Freddy to gasp, thinking back to her old self before the night begun. Though her eyes were still glowing purple, she did not have a look of cruelty in them.

"C-Chica…what do you mean? Is that…where we can find Officer Vanessa?" he asked. Chica said no more, slowly turning herself away in a janky fashion. Upon closer notice, Gregory had noticed small cracks and signs of wear on the parts that made up her outer shell.

Watch out…..f-for…..Bon-Bon….

Left flabbergasted, Freddy and Gregory simply watched Chica then walk away. The sense of fear subsiding, they both turned their gaze up towards the Bonnie Bowl sign.

"C'mon, superstar. Let's go and find our friend." Freddy said, extending a hand. Gregory nodded before putting his into the bear's large palm.

"You got it…Papa Bear." Gregory teased, shedding a slight mischievious smirk.
