In another section of the Mega Pizzaplex, there appears to be an animatronic asleep inside a charging station but a lock was placed upon the door handle. Looking inside through the viewable window, the robot was apparently the real Montgomery Gator, having been stashed away here when the False models came and abducted them. It is unclear to his exact location, only that the watchful eyes of Vanny were upon the charging pod. She was seated comfortably on a large wooden box lightly swaying her legs…
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
- SUPERSTAR EDITION -
Hour 4.1: Please Rest, Gregory! The Need for Recovery
~ 3:02 am | Kid's Cove - Play Floor ~
Roxanne effortlessly opened the shutter door for everyone to enter and shut it behind them. The sounds perked up Freddy's ears, still situated inside of the charging station he was left behind in. As he opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was the return of normal eyed Roxy.
"R-Roxanne! Is…Is that really you?!" he asked. Roxanne lightly smiled.
"You bet it is, Fredbear. And don't worry. We….shall I say…."took care" of Monty." she said before non-chalantly tossing the claws to the ground. The sight of them spooked Charlie and Jolly while Freddy seemed utterly shattered. Seeing the look in his eyes, Vanessa hurried to the door.
"Hold on, Freddy! Let us explain! It's NOT what you think." she said, attempting to calm him. She then looked back to Roxanne, yelling at her that they weren't going to scare him like this. But the wolf seemed to outright ignore her, looking away with arms behind her head while humming. After calming the animatronic bear and letting him out, having successfully recharged at the time, he joined the others in a circle as they explained the realization of the False versions of their friends.
"So…the Montgomery I was so worried about…was an imposter?" he asked. Vanessa nodded.
"Yeah. Turns out Afton had sent them to lock the real ones away so that they wouldn't be a hindrance AND to assure we'd think they were being manipulated. Would've made dealing with them a bigger hassle." she explained. Foxy nodded.
"Then…wait. What about when I thought Chica was speakin' to me?" Foxy asked, looking at his hook hand. Roxanne glimpsed his way.
"My guess….she found a way to interfere with the signal being put out by her fake and hacked into it, wanting to use her faker's mouth to tell you exactly what I did. But, right now, it seems like we don't have any leads on her exact location." she explained. As they continued talking, Freddy happened to notice the lack of Gregory's inputs to their conversation. Vanessa was quick to notice.
"If you're looking for Gregory, he's…over there." she hinted, pointing back towards one of the corners of the room, closest to the shutter doors. The youth was seen leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and a sour expression plastered on his face. Freddy pardoned himself from the others before approaching Gregory.
"O-Oh….hi Freddy." the boy said when he noticed him approaching. Freddy knelt down so he would be on a near even level.
"Gregory…what is the matter? You have been awfully quiet since you returned. Did…something happen?" he asked. The boy was hesitant to reply, instead turning away with the sense he had a chip on his shoulder. Watching them from afar, Vanessa sighed before approaching them.
"Gregory….I really think you should take some time to relax. It's clear that everything we've been through tonight has been harsly weighing upon you." she said, standing at Freddy's side "On top of not having time to sleep and having to worry about everything around you, I'm….worried that Afton might be using this "test" to see how long he can pressure you until you break." Freddy lightly gasped as Vanessa looked to him and nodded.
"I could see it on his face when we got another message from Afton via the projection system on the main stage. He definitely ENJOYED pushing the kid's buttons. Seems he's also been thinking a lot about those "other kids" I told you about…from the reports and news articles." she said, attempting to not have Gregory hear. But the boy heavily groaned.
"I can't help but think about it, Vanessa! They had families…they were happy….they had probably a lot more than I EVER had so far in my entire life….and yet…..he simply killed them….for what?! They DIDN'T deserve what Afton did to them! THEY WERE INNOCENT!" he exclaimed, starting to flare up. Vanessa quickly intervened, embracing Gregory in her arms to comfort him. She followed by rubbing the back of his head with one hand as tears began forming in his eyes. From afar, Charlie was seen worrying as well. But Roxanne had no idea what he was talking about. Before she could ask, Foxy put his hand up.
"I'll….tell you later, lass." he said, gaining her attention. Meanwhile, Freddy did a diagnosis scan of the emotional Gregory and the results had him worrying greatly.
"Gregory….I can understand that all of this is much for a child like you. But…what I am about to say…I want you to take to heart." he said, quieting him enough to listen "Right now, my sensors tell me your emotions are greatly unstable. I may not know what Afton said to you earlier, but you must find a way to release your aggressions before the worst can happen." Gregory started wipinig his tears away as Vanessa released him.
"That's what I've been saying. You've been dealing with a lot that no kid needs to have weighing on them…especially at your age. It's bad enough that you've been living on the streets until now. That's why I told you that…maybe you should try and use this hour to relax yourself." Vanessa continued "If I'm right, then you being so wound up and acting off raw emotion may be just what Afton wants. And we BOTH know that we don't want to give him what he wants. So, please…let's do something about this before its too late." The boy glanced between the two of them as tears still leaked down his face. All other eyes were now on him.
"B-But what CAN I do, Vanessa? Everywhere I go, I'm going to be hunted down by either the possessed security robots or...worst…one of the fakers posing as Roxanne or Chica." he asked. Roxanne grumbled to herself, briefly remembering their fight in her dressing room.
"I…have an idea. That is, I have an idea…but only IF you will trust me when I say that nothing will harm you." Vanessa replied, perking his attention. She then extended a hand to him as he simply looked back in silence.
~ 3:08 am | El Chip's - Restaurant Floor ~
Part of Vanessa's plan, she and Freddy were able to motivate Gregory into coming along with them over to El Chip's since the doors had been left open from Bonnie. To his surprise, he was plomped down in one of the booth seats as Vanessa was conversing with the counter bots. Also to his surprise was the inclusion of Charlie, the girl they rescued, while Freddy was waiting patiently at his side as well, too big to fully sit down in the chairs.
"Rebecca…..Simon. So glad to see you guys are okay. I guess they didn't bother trying to hijack the minds of non-security robots." she said.
"IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU ARE OKAY AS WELL, OFFICER VANESSA." one of the robots said "YOU HAVE TO EXPLAIN MORE ABOUT WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW." Vanessa nervously rubbed the back of her head.
"YES. WE HAD A HORRIBLE TIME TRYING TO STOP ANOTHER RATHER LARGE ANIMATRONIC THAT WAS CONSUMING OUR SUPPLIES FOR ITSELF." the other explained. Vanessa nodded.
"I know…I promise you I will. But, right now, I really need your help. See…we have an unhappy "Superstar" that I'm hoping you can help lift his spirits. Can you prepare one of your celebratory platters for us please?" she asked "You remember where management keeps the back up items in case of low stock? Oh. And put it on the security team's tab." They both nodded in unison, taking Vanessa's request and went to work before she returned to the table with Gregory. She took a chair opposite of Gregory so they could face one another.
"Vanessa….what's going on?" he asked. The security guard lightly smiled as she took off her cap and adjusted the collar of her shirt.
"Right now…this hour is all about YOU, kiddo. You haven't really gotten to see all that the Mega Pizzaplex has to offer our guests since you came here. You only got a TASTE of it when you first met Freddy." she said "The way I see it…the best way we can unease your nerves is to just let you be a regular kid. For the next hour, wherever you would like to go, Freddy and I will take you." But he did not seem to believe her at first, seen looking slightly away from her. But she regained his attention when he felt her hand gently placed atop his.
"Trust me. We'll keep you safe….and guarantee that this will be the best "evening" you've had in your life." she continued. At his side, Charlie leaned over so their eyes met.
"I…also wanted to thank you…for coming to my rescue. If I can help in any way, please. Let me know. I'll…I'll gladly be your friend, Gregory." she said. The boy gasped, surprised by everyone's kindness as Freddy soon put a hand on his shoulder too. His face began to blush slightly.
"Okay…..t-thanks, guys." he softly replied. Vanessa gently smiled.
"All righty then. For starters, I'd like to invite you to "sink your teeth" into what El Chip's calls their "shining star" of Mexican cuisine. And..." she said. The children looked back awkwardly at her, most likely when she said "sink your teeth". Realizing her words, Vanessa lightly groaned and quickly face palmed herself in shame.
"BLAME HIM." she said, pointing over her shoulder "He says it so many times that it's LODGED in my mind!" Behind her, they saw a large pinata styled statue of the restaurant's mascot, a large beaver with a sombrero atop his head. Freddy lightly chuckled.
"That is the mascot of El Chip's, another animatronic simply known as El Chip. But….I like to refer to him as "Chips" whenever we get the chance to talk." he explained "The "sink your teeth" quote happens to be his trademark saying…mostly using it for when guests dine here. And, yes, it can get rather infectious when you've heard it long enough." Gregory looked back at the statue of Chip questionably, scratching his head.
"So…is HE possessed by Afton too or what?" he asked "Haven't said I ran into a "animatronic beaver" so far tonight." But before the bear could reply, the sound of mariachi music could be heard as said animatronic, El Chip, was making his way over to them with the employee robots carrying Vanessa's order in hand. In his hands was a vihuela instrument, a variant of the guitar, as the rest of the music played from a specially hidden speaker located on his body.
"Hola, me amigo! A "little birdie" told me today was an extra SPECIAL day for a certain "Superstar" visiting the Freddy Fazbear Mega Pizzaplex! Well, low me if I did not give our special guest a little "dining music"! Just sit back, sink your teeth into some tasty grub and enjoy your time with us here at El Chip's!" he proclaimed, excited as could be. Charlie couldn't help but lightly snicker to herself, Vanessa chuckling as well, while Gregory seemed a bit overwhelmingly surprised by Chip's persona. As the service bots set down the "celebratory platter" that Vanessa ordered, consisting of a child specialty smorgasbord of treats like tacos, burriots, nacho chips and the like, the boy eventually grew a smile on his face as El Chip continued playing his guitar.
"Hey, maybe you should consider adding El Chip to perform with you sometime Freddy." he jokingly teased the animatronic bear. Freddy chuckled alongside him.
"Yes…it's not often he's asked for a chance to perform on the main stage." he replied. The kids begun to eat from the platter as Vanessa quietly brought out her cell phone, an item she kept on her since the night began, and focused the camera until she got a clear picture of a smiling Gregory feasting off a taco and bits of food stuck to his face. The servers later returned with drinks for everyone as Gregory's "period of relaxation" began.
