Inside the walled up arena for Fazer Blast, neon color lights flashed around from the spotlights strung above. There also stood large cutout props of each of the main animatronic cast in space cadet outfits, mostly featuring Freddy, Monty and Roxanne. A mobile of space ships rotated above as electronic music could be heard playing. The goal of the attraction was for the players to work together and use their blaster guns to defend their positions from invading "aliens", staff robots who were programmed to be the game's enemies. Any player who could reach the end would be allowed to pick a prize from the Prize Counter in the other room. There was also a mode that could be set up for visitors to simply play laser tag also, but the mode Gregory had chosen involved facing off with the "alien invaders". But little did he realize that, while they were not seen with purple colored eyes, the robots waiting ahead of him had neon green tint to their eyes. As one of them turned towards the entrance, their eyes lit up brightly as the voice of the Glitch merely laughed in a hysterical manner….
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
- SUPERSTAR EDITION -
Hour 4.3: Light Them Up! Fazer Blast Face Off!
~ 3:25 am | Fazer Blast - Battle Arena ~
Having been given the briefing from the attraction robot at the beginning, Gregory, Vanessa and Charlie just arrived on the attraction grounds from the slide open doorway. Each were already armed with one of the many Fazer Blasters provided to guests. The atmosphere brought about by the music had Charlie a bit on edge while Gregory himself was captivated by everything. He then noticed the large cutout of space cadet Freddy.
"Everywhere I go…all I see is Freddy." he said.
"Heh…what can you do when he IS the face of the Pizzaplex?" Vanessa joked. As he stared up at the cutout's face, an idea seemed to come as he turned back to the girls, quickly striking a pose similar to Freddy's portrait with his blaster pointed to the sky. A big coy smile was on his face as his attempts at impersonating made both of them snicker.
"All righty! Let's go, superstar! These aliens DON'T stand a chance!" he proclaimed while doing his best imitation of Freddy's voice. He then joined in the laughter, breaking character before sighing.
"I couldn't help it. I could just imagine that's what Freddy would say if he was here." he explained "I've spent WAY too much time with him." Charlie lightly snickered.
"Yeah….I can see it. You practically NAILED Freddy. Y'know? I bet he'd be super impressed by what his "little superstar" learned to do. They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." Vanessa teased. Feeling suddenly flustered, Gregory turned away with cheeks red and his arms crossed.
"D-Don't call me THAT. It's embarassing!" he replied, making the girls only laugh again. Just then, the speakers emitted feedback. While Vanessa was expecting the usual recorded message to be played, the voice instead was that of the Glitch.
Look sharp, kiddos! You're on enemy territory now! Those aliens won't stop until they GET you! So do what you can to get them BEFORE they get you! Make big ol' Freddy proud!
"Huh? Wait….that's not the greeting message. Did they change it or something?" Vanessa thought. She then glanced down at Gregory.
"Whatever the case, Gregory comes first. I have to make sure he enoys himself." she continued. Just then, a buzzer went off and the walls around them starting changing colors on rotation as the "alien invaders" were set loose.
"Heh! Come and get some!" Gregory shouted, leading the charge. Charlie soon followed with Vanessa bringing up the rear. Up ahead, a robot had detected Gregory and begun firing back with its laser gun. But he quickly rolled across the ground until he was around the other corner. It was soon Vanessa's turn to fall into the alien's sight.
"Vanessa! Heads up!" the boy shouted. But almost instantaneously, Vanessa quickly drew her blaster and fired straight back, hitting it directly in the face. Programmed to do so when struck, the "alien" fell backwards, Charlie and Gregory both left stunned.
"Whoa! That was amazing!" Charlie yelled.
"Yeah….what? Did your previous job have you using a GUN or something?" Gregory asked. Vanessa smirked while docking the blaster in her pocket.
"Ehh…you play this enough times when you're off the clock, you start to learn what the patterns are." she explained "Though…I know some of the other security workers are permitted to handle a gun for emergencies only." Just then, Gregory heard another robot approaching and looked back to see two heading his way.
"LET'S PLAY, GREGORY!" one shouted, opening fire at him. He quickly got back up and avoided their shots before firing back himself, taking another out of the game. But the second one continued shooting, forcing him to withdraw again.
"I-I got him!" Charlie exclaimed, opening fire back. While most of her shots missed, one eventually hit it and sent it tumbling over. She had her eyes closed for most of the shots, opening them only when she realized she hit him.
"H-Hey! I got one!" she proclaimed, pointing excitedly at the robot. Vanessa nodded.
"Nice going, sweetie. But that doesn't mean we're done. We got a goal to get to and there's surely more. So let's keep moving." she said, scootching her along. Gregory nodded and begun moving forward with his friends.
~ 3:28 am | Fazbear Theater ~
In another section of the Pizzaplex, Roxanne's search for Chica and Monty continued as she and Foxy just arrived at the theater located nearby the Daycare. Clips of "Fazbear and Friends" played on loop against the large screen. Noticing the light from the projector, Foxy's eyes turned to the screen.
"Arrr….back in the good ol' days." he muttered softly. Roxy glimpsed over her shoulder at him, lost in memory, and groaned.
"Earth to Foxy…..HEY!" she shouted, eventually snapping him back "Forget about the stupid movie! We're looking for Chica and Monty, REMEMBER?" But the pirate fox merely scoffed.
"Well, EXCUSE me for reminiscing about the old days." he said before moving on with her. But it was Roxy this time to scoff.
"As if you can relate to THAT version of Foxy. I'm fairly certain you guys AREN'T the same. Just because your endo is decorated that way doesn't make you the "original" Foxy." she replied. Sensing the sass, Foxy stopped before facing her.
"Feh! Pish posh! I know, for a FACT, that I'm the same Foxy they had since way back when! They just uploaded me memory into a newer model endoskeleton before assigning me here." he said, crossing his arms.
"You mean…before they threw you away into storage." she retorted, Foxy grumbling slightly.
"DON'T. REMIND. ME." he said. Deciding to put this argument to rest, the two resumed searching. As Foxy moved further down the rows of seats, Roxanne stopped in her tracks.
"I thought, for sure, they'd stuff Monty here since he's usually here watching those cruddy cartoons on rerun almost every night." she thought "Ugh! That stupid rabbit must know more than he lets on." Out of the corner of their eyes, both animatronics saw what appeared to be a staff bot wheeling by the doorway. The pirate acted quick to catch up to it.
"Ahoy there! Pardon me! Can I speak to ye for a minute?" he called, getting the robot to stop. It slowly turned around just as Roxanne reached the doorway.
"You haven't seen the likes of Montgomery Gator…or a "spazercise drumstick" named Chica tonight, have ye? Better yet….have ye laid eyes on two suspicious figures dressed in bunny pajamas?" he asked. The robot paused to think.
"Oh…sure. Like a RANDOM staff bot is going to know." Roxy sighed. It then quietly pointed down the hallway behind them.
"MEMORY BANKS RECALL A STRANGE FIGURE DRESSED IN A WHITE RABBIT SUIT TAKING MONTGOMERY GATOR DOWN TO THE DOWNSTAIRS STORAGE." it said. Roxy was left with jaw gaping open while Foxy look satisfied.
"Thank ye kindly." he said, tipping his hat. He then headed off, passing the still stunned Roxanne, before she groaned and hurried behind him. Reaching the other end, the two found a set of stairs leading down to the basement beneath the theater. They slowly descended down before coming to a stop at the doors. Just as Foxy put his hand on the door handle, Roxanne stopped him by placing hers atop his.
"W-What's wrong?" he asked.
"I…I think this is the section of storage that is usually being monitored by those CREEPY unused endoskeletons." she explained "I don't know why, but the security team have them active down here to keep an eye out for thieves. If Monty is down here….no doubt Vanny must have them brainwashed to serve her. That makes it WORSE somehow." She then shuddered, envisioning the glowing red eyes of one staring back at her once before. Things remained quiet until Foxy slowly opened the door.
"Well…if that be the case, we'll have to be extra sneaky." he said. The door fully opened and the two stepped through, Foxy closing it behind him. The dim strobe lights above them lit up the halls as the sound of clanging pipes and other noises came from the shadows. Foxy and Roxanne slowly walked down the stairway until they were firmly on the concrete floor.
"Ugh….in the scroungy lower levels again." he thought, recalling his trek before breaching in the Daycare area. Roxanne slowly scanned the room, looking for any signs of Monty, Vanny or the forewarned endoskeletons. Out of her sight, one was seen stationed yet inactive by the stairs they just came down. It remained hidden behind the steps.
"Doesn't look like any of them are around. C'mon…let's get moving. But watch out for them. They get seriously agro if they spot you." Roxy said. Foxy nodded and, alongside her, begun walking ahead. Just as they did, the endoskeleton beneath the stairs had its eyes turn on.
~ 3:30 am | Fazer Blast - Battle Arena ~
Back up above, Gregory's team was nearing the end of their Fazer Blast run. They had shot enough of the "aliens" to make their way towards the designated goal area. But unlike the other locations, a much larger animatronic could be seen stationed nearby. It appeared to be a much larger version of the staff bots but it had an extra set of arms and each had a laser blaster armed. Behind it on a pedestal was the item necessary for the guests to win, a doll of Space Freddy that was meant to be a prisoner.
"Okay guys…listen up. This one is not going to be so easy to dupe as the others were. They have this guy scaled up for the final confrontation. He's going to need more than one hit to take out." Vanessa whispered "However, if one of you can grab that doll behind him…we automatically win." The kids both nodded.
"All right. Then…how about this? Vanessa, you and I take this guy head on while Charlie sneaks around it and grabs the toy?" Gregory replied. Charlie lightly gasped.
"B-But what if I'm spotted?" she asked to which Gregory turned her way.
"If that happens, we'll just get his attention off you and back to us." he said "Trust us and I'm SURE we can pull this off." He placed a hand on her shoulder, hoping to give her a bit of a confidence boost. It seemed to work as she nodded back.
"All…All right. But you watch out too." she said. Vanessa watched the exchange quietly with a smile. But before they could spring out of hiding, it appeared they were discovered by the "boss enemy".
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" it shouted, surprising them. It then open fired in their direction as Gregory helped Charlie cross the gap and hide behind the other wall. It kept its eyes firmly on Gregory's location before it was suddenly shot in one of its eyes by Vanessa, yelling loudly while covering its face.
"Hey ya dumb alien! OVER HERE!" she yelled. It growled before starting to shoot back at her, quickly taking shelter while firing back herself. Gregory turned to Charlie with a nod, giving her the signal to move on. With her on the move, he quickly exposed himself and made a break towards the right side.
"Try and catch me, pinhead!" Gregory exclaimed, shooting it again in the eye. The enemy now found itself pinned between both firing their blasters from each side. Whenever it turned its attention back to Gregory, he quickly darted to the other side and resumed fire, trying to keep it confused. Each time he switched sides, the boy would taunt him with a mocking face. The robot begun to growl when his eyes suddenly turned bright green. Vanessa lightly gasped as it suddenly honed all its blasters straight onto Gregory, surprising him.
"DANCE, YOU LITTLE BRAT!" it yelled before firing endlessly at him. Though Gregory ran in a circle around him, each blast was dangerously close to getting him, seemingly trailing him by the heels of his feet.
"Whoa! What's gotten into this guy?!" the boy yelled. It then begun laughing hysterically while keeping focus on Gregory.
"Okay…this isn't good. Don't tell me he's finally cracked from losing so much?!" Vanessa thought, worrying the boss robot was going out of control. Just then, Gregory wound up tripping himself and slid to Vanessa's location. Letting out a gasp, she quickly moved to help him up. Meanwhile, the robot laughed as it pointed its blasters.
"LOOKS LIKE…YOU LOSE, KID." it said. Before it opened fire, a fanfare sound could be heard as all eyes turned to the pedestal. Charlie had successfully grabbed the doll and held it triumphantly above her head. On a screen above her, the word "WINNER" begun flashing.
"NOOOO FAIRRRR…" the robot complained as it begun to power down and was left hunched over. Gregory took a moment to catch his breath as Charlie rushed over and the victory music played.
"Look, Gregory! Your plan worked! We won!" she exclaimed. Gregory chuckled, giving her a thumbs up, while Vanessa forgot about the rampant robot and smiled.
"Congrats….kiddo." she said "You did good." She then ruffled his hair playfully before joining them in heading towards the exit leading back to the orientation room. But even as the door closed behind them, the eyes of the boss robot flashed green and kept them fixated on Gregory.
Not bad, Gregory. Not bad indeed. Heh heh heh heh heh….looks like ol' Willie made the right choice after all. Ohhh…I cannot WAIT to see the look on your face when OUR time comes…
