With the escapade in the Arcade wrapping up and DJ Music Man freed from Glitchtrap's control, Gregory and his friends decided to head back downstairs so they could begin planning their final move before Afton's "game" ended. Upon returning to the Main Atrium, Vanessa and the rest were surprised to see Roxy and Foxy return with the real Montgomery Gator in tow. He and Freddy paused for a moment as they stared at one another. But before long, Freddy was convinced that this was truly his friend and the two reunited with a hearty handshake, all the while they were being observed by a frustrated Willaim Afton on the security cameras, angrily shaking his fist…

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
~ SUPERSTAR EDITION ~

Hour 5.1: Save Those With Soul, The Truth Hidden Below

~ 4:01 am | Tunnels Beneath the Pizzaplex ~

Shortly after reuniting with their animatronic friends, Monty quickly brought up something that he said Vanessa and the rest had to see. Everyone seemed perplexed as Roxanne added this was the first thing he wanted to do since they left the storage facility. After taking a moment to check in with Charlie and Foxy's animatronic crewmates, they set off for the service tunnels once again. They were the exact same ones that Freddy and Gregory first traversed before the chaos unfolded. Gregory rode along inside Freddy's chest compartment as Monty led the group.

"Can you give us a bit more detail as to what you're taking us to see, Monty?" Vanessa asked. The gator glanced back at her.

"It's…better I show you. I mean, the pirate told me you guys found that newspaper about the "missing children", right?" he asked. Freddy, Vanessa and Gregory nearly gasped simultaneously.

"D-Don't tell me we're going to see a bunch of CORPSES." the boy shuddered. Monty shook his head.

"No…don't worry, kiddo. They aren't dead….but that doesn't mean it's a "good situation" either." he said. Up ahead of them was a locked wire gate that prevented passage further inside. But Monty wasted no time in backing up and ramming through the door with his brute strength. The one tackle broke the lock and flung the door clean open. The others soon followed behind him as Monty looked down at his lower modeled hands and sighed.

"If only that scummy rabbit hadn't taken my new claws from me….maybe I'd have gotten out faster." he said. He then felt a hand on his shoulder, turning to see Roxanne.

"If it'll make you feel better, we actually got your claws back. They're back upstairs where Foxy's group is." she explained. Foxy nodded.

"Aye! I had Pork Chops watch over 'em until we found you. If the lass has a chance, we can return to Parts & Service and re-attaach 'em. Isn't that right?" he asked, looking Vanessa's way. The security guard nodded.

"Shouldn't be too hard…hopefully not as hard as it was fixing Sun up." she replied. Monty seemed relieved, flashing his usual toothy smile. From inside Freddy, Gregory had a look of worry before he glanced to the side temporarily. After thinking for a bit longer, there suddenly came a knock at Freddy's chest. The others came to a stop first as Freddy opened up and let Gregory out.

"What is it, superstar?" Freddy asked.

"N-Nothing too big. It's just…something I was thinking about when we met Fake Monty. He was spouting stuff like he "helped deliver Bon-Bon" to Afton's clutches and "replaced his spot" in the band while claiming it was "how showbiz worked"." he said, soon looking towards Monty "I don't mean to be rude, Monty….but do any of those words sound familiar? Afton…didn't program the fakes after a negative trait each of you have…did he?" Monty lightly gasped, glimpsing away briefly as the others merely watched.

"Gregory? What do you mean? As far as we know, the fake Monty and the real one are two different animatronics. Afton could've programmed it so he would sound that way." Freddy asked. But just then, the gator shook his head.

"Afraid the kid's not that far off…but only on ONE of those things." he said, surprising the others. He turned back towards them.

"I might not have been the one that hurt Bonnie and brought him to Afton…but that doesn't mean I didn't jump at the chance to replace him in the band when management couldn't find him." he explained "Some part of me…started to feel mixed about how I perceived you, Freddy, while we were on stage together. I think they call it…"jealousy"…perhaps." Freddy and Vanessa lightly gasped.

"You were…jealous of Freddy?" she asked.

"Yeah. I'm sure you recall what I used to be…just some random animatronic brought to the Pizzaplex to promote his attraction, same way El Chips was for his place." he explained "When I heard the other employees start talking about how they needed somebody to fill in Bonnie's shoes when he went missing, I eagerly jumped at the chance…not entirely knowing why I wanted to." He then begun to reminisce about the days he spent practicing guitar and the moments when he was on stage with Freddy and the others.

"The more I got to perform, the more I came to like it. It helped give Monty Golf a much needed face lift as I was now one of "the bigger named animatronics" now. But…something didn't sit right in me whenever I watched you, Freddy." Monty continued "Maybe it was my…inflating sense of pride that made me want to take your spot. But I worked hard to suppress it, usually taking it out on a punching bag I keep in the back." Gregory recalled seeing such an item when he and Freddy originally went to search his room. It had a crudely drawn version of Freddy on it.

"Monty…I had no idea you felt this way." Freddy replied "If only I…" But the gator rose a hand, silencing him.

"It's…okay, Freddy. I….just wasn't sure how to go about talking to you…let alone ANYONE about this." he continued "I was thinking Roxanne at first, seeing as how we usually love to bicker and I knew she would've kept her mouth shut…" The wolf huffed and crossed her arms before Vanessa approached Monty and rested a hand against his side.

"Don't worry, Monty. Now that you were able to get it off your chest, we'll do what we can to help you with these changes. Believe me…it's not easy dealing with changes to the way you think…especially on your own." she said. The gator smiled once more before accepting Vanessa's invite to hug it out. Freddy then joined in, gently putting his arms around them both. Gregory smiled from afar before Roxanne leaned his way.

"To be truthful, I would've probably told EVERYONE about this had Monty come to me. He's right, though. I do enjoy mocking him best chance I can get." she whispered, slightly worrying the boy.

~ 4:06 am | Unknown Location - Service Tunnels ~

Continuing down the path Monty opened for them brought the group to a strange room located deep beneath the Pizzaplex. Upon arrival, the group looked on in shock. Plastered across the room were waves upon waves of sticky notes stuck against every usable surface, pieces of scrapped animatronics and service robots across the ground and, far against the back wall, there was a line of recharge stations with a painted rabbit head on each door.

"I…literally am at a loss for words." Foxy said, jaw left gaping open and his eye patch flipped up. Everyone slowly broke apart from each other and began exploring. As Freddy looked over some of the notes with Roxanne, Vanessa and Gregory went over to the recharge stations. Foxy looked down below a set of stairs at the glowing eyes of a decomissioned staff bot's head.

"See what I mean about this place? UBER CREEPY." Monty said, creeped out as well. At one of the recharge stations, Vanessa noticed the windows were fogged up by a thick layer of condensation while Gregory checked out a few more of the sticky notes on the ground. After wiping the condensation away, Vanessa let out a horrified gasp, surprising a few of the others.

"What?! What is it?!" Gregory yelped. Without a reply, Vanessa hurried to take hold of the hatch on the door and pulled it back as hard as she could, fighting against what felt like frostbite coating the door. It soon revealed the likes of a child or two laying unconscious against one another inside. They were a pair of boys roughly Gregory's age.

"Are….Are they…?" Gregory asked as Vanessa pulled the rolled up paper from her pant pocket and checked the pictures. She then firmly nodded.

"Yeah. These boys…are from the group of missing children." she said. Freddy could not believe what he saw, hurrying over to run a wellness scan on them. The others waited for the results. Once he received them, the animatronic heavily sighed.

"It…does not appear as though they have suffered anything serious. For now, they are simply unconscious. But I do not detect any severe injuries, broken limbs or anything of the sort." he reported. The others sighed with relief as well. Realizing the gravity of their discovery, Vanessa's hands begun to clench the paper tightly. She then set it aside before hurrying over to the next one.

"C-Come on you guys! Give me a hand here! NO WAY are we leaving them down here!" she called. The animatronics wasted no time in helping her pry open the rest of the frostbitten pods and collected the kids from within. Whenever they found a new one, Freddy did another check and found none of them were any worse than the two originally found. Vanessa and Gregory were on the last one as their combined strength forced the door open. As he looked inside, Gregory was the one to gasp now.

"Gregory?" the guard asked, looking down as his eyes seemed to widen. Inside the pod was a large bodied young boy with black hair, a red t-shirt and pair of shorts. But the mere sight of him left Gregory stunned.

"That….That's Grayson! The kid that used to bully me at the park!" he explained.

"Was he…the one you became agitated over when you ran to help Bonnie?" Vanessa asked. He silently nodded.

"Yeah. He and two other kids used to pick on me." he said before looking down the row of opened pods "But…I don't see the others anywhere here." Roxy approached the young boy's side and rested her hand atop his head.

"Guess Afton wasn't "picky" when it came to who he wanted to abduct." she said "But…it's a good thing we found him. Right?" The boy was at a loss for words as, without much reasoning, helped Vanessa move Grayson's body out of the pod. Foxy soon approached the strange vat next to the recharge station.

"What be this stuff?" he asked, tapping his hook against the glass. As Gregory turned his gaze towards the large vat, he soon gasped as the same hallucinations he had came back. He could hear the sounds of kids crying, yelling or outright screaming coming from the sparkling substance within. They seemed to get more agitated each time Foxy tapped the glass.

"Foxy! Stop that! Whatever that stuff is, it's getting more upset the more you're tapping it!" Gregory proclaimed. Foxy yelped in surprise and backed up as quick as he could, bumping into Monty. The others stood back as Gregory slowly approached the vat and gently put his hand against it.

"G-Gregory?" Vanessa asked. As soon as his hand made contact, the voices coming from within began flooding his mind with multitude of voices pleading to him.

Please…help us!
Don't leave us here! I don't wanna be here anymore!
I want my mommy and daddy!
W-We can't get out!
HELP US! SOMEBODY!

Gregory recognized these as the strange black silhouettes that originally were seeping from the joints and parts from Bonnie's beastly form, the ones who seemed desparate for help when he could see them. Their pleas continued echoing through his head before he turned back to Freddy.

"Freddy? Can you do me a favor?" he asked.

"W-What is it, Gregory?" the bear asked as he approached. The child backed up before pointing at the vat.

"Smash it open. Punch it as hard as you can." he said. The others gasped, taken back by his sudden shift in tone. Freddy took a moment before, letting out a sigh, agreed to the boy's wish. He drew an arm back before throwing a punch straight as an arrow. It broke clean through the glass and, with the newly punched hole, the substance came gushing out. Everyone hurried to get away as soon as possible, doing their best to avoid the strange liquid touching them. As it all spilled out across the floor, soaking onto the notes or flooding like a river towards a nearby sewer grate, it eventually lost its shimmer and seemingly became a large puddle of dark gray goop. Even the bit that partially coated Freddy's hand from the impact lost its glimmer.

"What IS this stuff?!" Foxy asked, looking at the darkened goop.

"I don't know. But we can't let these kids stay here anymore. Monty? Roxy? Help me get them back to Kid's Cove. I'll attempt to contact the police once we get up top." Vanessa said, the others waisting no time in complying. Each animatronic soon hurried out of the room with up to two or three kids resting in their arms, Foxy included, as Gregory and Vanessa brought up the rear with Grayson carried piggyback style by the guard.

~ Security Monitors - Parts & Service ~

In the now empty Parts & Service station, William had just gotten notifications about activity in that same room as he switched the cameras to those stationed near the sewer system. He silently eyed the room from every possible corner, his anger beginning to fester the longer he looked. Eventually, he broke out into an absolute fit as he started attacking and throwing around objects closest to him. In the room with him, standing albeit away from his rampage, was Vanny.

"THIS. CAN'T. BE. HAPPENING! Do those FOOLS have any idea what they've DONE?! All my hard work…FLUSHED away!" he shrieked, frantically scratching at his head. On another monitor, Glitchtrap's digitized silhouette appeared.

WHOA! Easy there, big boy! What's gotten you so worked up?

Afton snarled as he turned to Glitchtrap.

"The remnant! All the remnant I built up from those damn brats! It's all WORTHLESS NOW!" he exclaimed, tossing over a nearby cart in rage "I don't know how…but Gregory found his way into that room and…and NOW its all GONE!" But rather than share in his misery and anguish, Glitchtrap merely laughed, provoking Afton.

OH! That is TOO RICH! Looks like things blew up FASTER than I was expecting! Gwah ha ha ha ha ha ha HA!

Still full of rage, Afton growled before punching clean through the monitor. He left a gaping hole in the screen as Glitchtrap appeared on another monitor nearby.

"YOU. DON'T. GET IT. That hard earned remnant was the SOURCE of my entire plan! Without it, all our efforts are FUTILE!" Afton proclaimed. Feeling a sudden ache come over him, Afton quickly grasped his chest with one hand before stopping to catch his breath, panting heavily as a result.

Don't you worry, Willie ol' pal! Lucky for you, I happen to have a back-up plan. Besides, Vanny and I was smart enough to keep a little "emergency stash" JUST IN CASE…

Afton turned towards Vanny, looking in shock to see her with two large jars full of usable remnant.

"Are you daft?! THAT's not enough!" he exclaimed. But Glitchtrap clicked his tongue, regaining Afton's attention.

Maybe not for "your plan". But, for the one I have…it's all we need. Shall I elaborate?

Afton lightly snarled before falling dead silent, hand still clutching his chest.
