As Gregory went down to Parts and Service with Monty and Roxy, Freddy had to once again retire to the recharge station due to his prolonged usage. But as for Vanessa, she had quietly left to use the restroom and left the kids to the watch of Foxy and crew. As she entered, she walked calmly over to the sink and turned on the faucet. Holding a small washcloth in hand, she wetted it firmly before squeezing the loose water free. She then proceeded to wash her face as the water continued running from the sink. When she was done, she turned off the water and lifted her head to see her reflection. However, she gasped at the sight of not her reflection, but the sinister face of Vanny. The way the rabbit's head moved seemed to mirror her own, almost as if she was seeing herself inside Vanny's suit. Still horrified at her reflection, she continued to try and shake it off, believing herself to be dreaming. But just as she recovered fast enough for her own reflection to return, she then took notice of someone standing behind her in one of the stalls. A pair of glowing red eyes stared back as out stepped Vanny herself…
FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
~ SUPERSTAR EDITION ~
Hour 5.3: You Are Me and I Am You? Reunion with Vanny
~ 4:15 am | Girls Bathroom - Pizzaplex Floor ~
Having locked eyes with one another, Vanessa fell silent as Vanny looked back at her without making a peep either. The security guard had one hand hovering over the tazer clipped to her belt while keeping her focus on the rabbit woman.
"What are you doing here? Did Afton send you to silence me or something?" she asked. But, to her surprise, Vanny did not say a word.
"What's wrong? Upset that your plans are crumbling down around you?" she asked, trying to get her to speak. But Vanny again remained dead silent, only tilting her head to show signs of life. Vanessa groaned.
"Say something, you freak!" she shouted.
Tell me. Why haven't you returned…?
Vanessa lightly gasped. The voice did not sound the same as the unhinged Vanny she had met throughout the night. There was little to no emotion put behind her voice, seemingly dropping her facade.
"W-What are you talking about?" Vanessa asked. Vanny slowly rose her head, extending one arm out to her. The sight begun creeping her out.
Why haven't you returned….to Master? Master…is the reason you're even here….after all…
Just then, a strange pain seemingly came over her as Vanessa quickly clutched the side of her head. It was but for a moment and, in no time, the pain was gone.
"Great. Not THIS again. Ugh. It's been bothering me all night." she thought "Whatever this whacko did to me….it's been taking its toll on me. It didn't get this bad…until AFTER I got into that fight with her." She then looked back to Vanny who was simply staring at her.
"Did…Did you do this? I've been getting all these headaches in my head since we got into that fight earlier tonight." Vanessa said "Tell me! Did you inject me with something?!" But shortly after, Vanny pointed back towards the mirror, inviting Vanessa to turn around. She slowly turned around and gasped, seeing herself in what appeared to be a rundown and abandoned apartment being shown to her from the mirror. Her hair was an absolute mess and a zombified look was on her face. In her hand was a strange green Bonnie toy, one that she had seemingly been repairing on a few occasions.
"What's….?" she muttered before she heard her reflection begin to speak.
"Is that you….Master?"
…
"Yes. I hear you."
…
"No. There is no miscommunication. Everything is progressing smoothly."
Vanessa continued to watch, unable to understand what she was seeing was even possible. Tears seem to begin building up in her eyes.
"What is this? What kind of mind games are you trying to pull?!" she yelled, turning back to Vanny. The rabbit said nothing more before Vanessa turned back to the reflection, now seeing her holding what appeared to be a wooden rabbit mask in her hand before putting it on, eyes still on her doll.
"N-No. That's…." she muttered.
"O-Oh. This? Heh. I thought you would like it. It's just like yours. What do you think?"
…
"Everything is okay. No one suspects a thing."
…
"Yes. I am following every word to the letter. I'll be ready….for when the time comes."
Vanessa slowly begun to back away from the mirror, the scene setting off some kind of fear taking over her. While she wound up bumping into Vanny as a result, she was startled and fumbled away before collapsing to the ground.
"I…I thought I got rid of that thing…." she shuddered, the image of the rabbit mask appearing in her mind "I…I did! I threw it in the trash after I finished those therapy sessions." Vanny slowly turned to her and extended a hand down to her. But when Vanessa looked back, she saw the same mask in the rabbit's hand. She yelped in fear and swatted it away with a quick slap.
"NO! GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!" she shrieked. She slowly crawled away from Vanny who hadn't moved since.
"I-I don't get it! THAT shouldn't exist! The therapist TOLD me it was my mind playing tricks on me!" she shouted. Once she was against the wall, other memories suddenly began to flood her mind. They came to her from the perspective of her own eyes, but she was watching herself doing stuff she never imagined. In one instance, she saw herself in Parts and Service one night working on what appeared to be Fake Monty with Afton observing her from the other side of the table. In another, she was working at one of the office computers, typing away mindlessly as something was uploaded into the servers.
"Is…Is this all me?" she thought. More memories continued to play, such as her contemplating Roxanne in the daytime before switching to a nightly sky, walking through the streets outside the Pizzaplex but carrying an unrecognized body in her arms. In another, she saw herself putting Grayson inside one of the pods beneath the Pizzaplex.
"N-No. This can't be real. This CAN'T be!" she thought, beginning to fear what she was seeing. Just then, Vanny once again approached her and handed her the wooden mask. But, despite her mind violently telling her body to reject it, she felt compelled to take it from her this time. The sinister bunny lightly giggled.
It seems you're starting to remember….who you TRULY are…
"W-Who I truly am?" Vanessa thought. Confusion filled her mind as she slowly brought the mask to her face and, the minute it touched her skin, she could hear what sounded like Afton's voice in her head.
Vanny…..Do you hear me?
The night guard lightly nodded.
"Y-Yes….I do….Master." she muttered, all personality drained from her voice. She slowly rose up from the ground while Vanny watched, all while keeping one hand on the mask pressed to her.
Excellent. It's so wonderful to hear your voice again…Vanny, my dear…
Vanessa slowly turned towards Vanny and watched, without so much as a reaction, as she removed the rabbit head. What was underneath appeared to be a more humanoid model of the endoskeletons made for the animatronics. But this one seemingly had her face modeled heavily after hers. The animatronic Vanny dropped the head to the ground.
Ah, yes. I do apologize. I know we had planned so much together…but…when I lost touch with you, I had no choice…but to resort to using this puppet…
Vanessa simply shook her head.
"No…it's my fault, Master. I let myself forget the sound of your voice." she replied.
Hmm. In that case, perhaps a punishment is in order? What do you think?
Inside her mind, Vanessa's inner self was reduced to nothing more than an observer. She could not believe the words coming out of her mouth as she listened to their conversation.
"Please….anything but that, Master. It is…my fault, yes. But…I'll do anything to earn your trust again." Vanessa muttered. She fell silent, fretting over what Afton's voice would say next.
Since it was only a miscommunication on YOUR part, I'll let it slide….but on one condition.
"W-What is it?" she asked.
Do NOT forget whom you serve. You and I….we were destined to complete our extravagant mission…as a team. If you want to regain my trust, follow my words to the letter. Bring me Gregory…before the sun rises outside this building. We need him…if we are to succeed….in my resurrection…
Vanessa's spirit gasped, suddenly recalling all she had been through so far with Gregory so far tonight. New memories came to her as, once again nothing but an observer, she was the "Vanny" that attacked Gregory in the alley before carrying his unconscious body towards the Pizzaplex as rain continued to pour down. Though she did not seem to have any recollection of these events, she did recall waking a while later and returned to her "Vanessa" persona, having found the wounded Gregory later and brought him to the Lost and Found office.
"Gregory's here…because of me…." her spirit muttered, tears running down her eyes and the look of sheer horror spread across her face. She slowly looked down towards her hands as stains of blood begun to appear on her palms. Because of all she had heard and seen, her fears overtook her as she envisioned the "blood" was Gregory's.
Until the night is over, you and your double will work as one. Do NOT let the others discover the truth….less we have to spill more blood…just like the OTHERS…
Vanessa lightly gasped, her hands now beginning to quiver.
"O-Others…?" she weeped, envisioning the kids back in Kid's Cove. Vanessa's body begun to move on its own, picking up the character head Vanny had dropped. She then put it on without hesitation. At the same time, the wooden mask that she had been holding seemed to have fused itself to her face by the time she put on Vanny's head.
Good girl….just remember. Listen to no one else…but me. I'll keep you safe…unlike your ungrateful family…
~ 4:20 am | Roxy Raceway - Race Track ~
In another part of the Pizzaplex, an animatronic that appeared to be Roxanne was entering the establishment while carrying something. It appeared to an unconscious Helpy, carried around by one leg gripped firmly by Roxanne. Under her other arm was a large helping of the animatronic shells stripped off Bonnie, meaning she had gotten to them before Monty and Gregory went down the elevator.
"He'll surely come now…..then I can finally have MY turn." Roxy said "Let's hope you haven't forgotten the challenge Master gave to you….Gregory." As she continued walking on, her eyes briefly gave off a purple flash.
