Thanks to the message from Gregory, Freddy and Foxy were able to find their way to the trash dump near the sewers and assist their friends with the matter of Fake Chica's wrath. But the animatronic bear could not put his worry over Gregory aside and left the captain to help Monty and Roxy. Luckily, this worked out as Foxy was able to provide the turn in tide they needed to decomission Fake Chica and reclaim the stolen voice box from her upon defeat. Meanwhile, Freddy had found Gregory at about the same time he just met with "Henry"...

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH
~ SUPERSTAR EDITION ~

Hour 5.6: The Truth Comes Out! Gregory Finally Breaks!

~ 4:47 am | Main Atrium - Pizzeria Floor ~

Gregory rode safely within Freddy's chest compartment as he, Foxy, Roxanne and Monty returned to the main stage from the elevator. But the afterthought of not finding the "real" Chica still weighed over Roxy, the animatronic pirate noticing all too easy.

"Are….you okay, lass?" he asked, hesitant to put a hand on her shoulder. She quietly glimpsed his way before lightly sighing, Monty gently shaking his head toward Foxy. She was the first to step off when the elevator reached the top. Meanwhile, Freddy was thinking back upon his talk with Henry in the sewers alongside Gregory, the boy given the chance to explain everything to him.

"So…that would mean that the reason you came after Gregory before…was a misunderstanding?"

DID NOT….REALIZE…MISUNDERSTOOD…BUT…WANTED TO…PROTECT HER…

"It's okay, Henry. Thanks to you, we were able to get Charlie somewhere safer. She's with our other friends in a safe location upstairs. Also, if it's okay…can I ask what you've got against Afton? It's CLEAR you two have some bad history."

RUINED…EVERYTHING….WE WORKED…SO HARD…RESPONSIBLE…FOR…MY DAUGHTER…THOUGHT…I KILLED HIM…

A knock on his compartment door snapped Freddy out of his thoughts, slowing him to a stop so Gregory could come out. Once he touched ground, the boy turned back to his animatronic friend.

"You think Henry's daughter was…y'know…one of the missing kids?" he asked "If so….then I REALLY get why he's got a grudge." Freddy brought a hand to his chin.

"If I remember correctly, the information Officer Vanessa unearthed mentioned something about William Afton being a "co-founder" of the original Fazbear Entertainment. It is possible…Henry was the other." he explained. Gregory lightly turned away.

"Who knew things could've gotten THIS BAD…between someone you used to work with." he said, suddenly turning to Freddy after "Oh! D-Don't worry, Freddy! I'm NOT saying that I want things to be that way for us too! I…I just meant-!" But the bear gently smiled and rested his hand atop his head.

"It is…okay Gregory. I know you well enough now. You are NOTHING…like Afton. You are kind. Thoughtful. A good friend to us animatronics." he said, seeing a smile return to Gregory. Just then, their moment was quickly broken once they heard Foxy letting out a loud gasp. At the main entrance to Children's Cove, the shutters having been opened by Bonnie right then, they all saw Roxy looking on at Chica's surprised face waiting by the doorway. Dirt markings were on her body while she and Roxy remained dead silent, Foxy's eyepatch having been flipped up in shock.

Chica was quickly welcomed inside as everyone soon broke out in celebration for her safe return. Knowing for sure this was the real one, Roxy had thrown her arms around Chica. The animatronic chicken looked back with sympathy in her eyes as she embraced her friend.

"I….I was so worried….we wouldn't find you…" Roxy said, a tearful tone in her voice.

"I'm…so glad you are okay too, Roxy. To be honest…I was afraid…I would've wound up as someone else's "chicken dinner"…before I ever got to see you all again." Chica replied, looking around at the animatronics gathered around her. Gregory lightly smiled, watching from the corner close to Freddy's side.

"We found them all…Vanessa." he thought "Everyone's okay." A foul odor soon snuck its way into his nose as, quickly sniffing his underarm, he reeled back gagging, quickly pinching his nose shut.

"Ugh! I thought it was just the scent of the garbage PLUS the sewage water…but my clothes absolutely REEK! Then again…I have been running all night long." he muttered. He glimpsed Freddy's way, wondering if the bear would be against him going back to the gift shop for a fresh change. But as he looked in Freddy's direction, he begun looking around the entire room in order to find Vanessa. The security guard was nowhere to be seen.

"H-Hey…has anyone seen Vanessa?" the boy asked, gaining the other's attention. Foxy's crew fell silent, the captain himself confused, as Charlie approached.

"She….She hasn't come back…since you left earlier." she explained. Freddy, having been asleep then, begun to worry.

"Aye…the miss said she needed to use the little lass' room. That was…the last we heard from her." Jolly explained, voice full of depression. Gregory lightly gasped, soon envisioning Vanessa's warmful smile in his mind.

"No. D-Did Afton get her? Or…wait. What about…?!" he thought, suddenly thinking of Vanny's sinister grin with a blood stained knife in hand. Acting soon off instinct, he hurried back towards the entrance and begun trying to force the shutters open. The animatronics quickly noticed.

"H-Hey, Gregster! Where you going?!" Monty asked. Worried what was going through his head, Freddy attempted to stop him. But he was not quick enough as Gregory was able to budge it up slightly enough to slip underneath, backpack and all, before taking off in a hurry. The sound of his fading footsteps was all they heard afterwards.

"Wait…was that "Gregory"? The kid Vanessa asked us to help find? W-Where is he going?" Chica asked, baffled slightly by what happened. Freddy fell completely silent, head drooping down, as Foxy looked on with worry.

"I think….I know what's goin' through the buccaneer's mind…" he replied. Once Gregory was far from Children's Cove, returning up the stairs leading towards the elevator, he came to a halt and looked frantically around him. A look of total panic and riddled with fear plagued his face, possibly the worst it had been all night. With no sign of her and his thoughts of her still playing in his head, he stopped to take a deep breath before letting out a shriek towards the sky.

VANESSA! WHERE ARE YOU?! ANSWER ME!

He then hurried towards the elevator, quickly mashing the button before running inside and hurrying past "Petey" the map bot, hesitant to offer the child a map. Back inside Children's Cove, the animatronics still remained silent, unable to say anything. Roxy, however, had noticed something out of the corner of her eye. She turned towards a nearby desk and picked up a folded piece of paper with Gregory's name on it.

"Shouldn't we…go after him?" Bonnie muttered. Before anyone volunteered, Roxy turned back to them with anger in her face. The paper she had picked up was a message from the remaining imposter, Fake Roxanne. It stated that she had the missing parts they searched for, as well as Helpy for leverage. If they wanted to get either back, she demanded they come to Roxy Raceway, the wolf's attraction, before five am.

"Leave him be. He'd…only be in the way…for now, at least." she said, showing them the note "Besides, he's grown a lot…the little "Superstar"." Foxy was the first to read the note, lifting up his eyepatch. Freddy could not help but fret while he kept eyeing the shutter doors.

~ 4:52 am | Main Entrance - Lobby and Gift Shop ~

The boy rode the elevator down to the first floor, back to where his survival mission began, in his feverish search for Vanessa. Without the likes of the fake animatronics stalking the halls and the staff robots seemingly returned to their normal selves, it was far more silent than before. Tears begun to leak from his eyes.

"Vanessa! Vanessa! Can you hear me?!" he cried. He glimpsed down the staircase, seeing the security office where they originally hid, before making his way down there. But as he moved, it was clear that someone was in the shadows watching him as a rabbit-like shadow seemed to follow close behind. As he reached the bottom, he took another look of his surroundings. He felt his heart sinking further the more lost Vanessa appeared to be. In no time, trails of tears begun to leak down his face as he stood in place on the verge of breaking down.

"No….this can't be real." he said, wiping the tears away "I…I know I was more concerned about MYSELF surviving….but…" More memories of his night with Vanessa continued plaguing his mind and heart, his body trembling because of it.

"I…I REFUSE to let her die…because of me!" he weeped "W-We were supposed to escape all together! T-This CAN'T be how this HELL ends!" Just then, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him. The boy lightly gasped, believing it at first to be Vanessa. But the moment he realized they sounded far differently, he begun to fret before slowly turning around. Standing before him now was William Afton himself, slowly clapping his hands from inside his rabbit suit.

"Well, well…would you look at this? How the "brave faced child" finally succumbs to his fears…the facade he built up now breaking down." he said in a cold, cruel fashion. While tears still remained in his eyes, he gripped his shirt tightly and anger began to fester. His inner feelings were on display for Afton without a hint of trying to hide them. The big grin on Afton's mask made the boy's rage grow more, having brief flashes of the other horrifying instances he'd been through. The sound of Vanessa's voice screaming, albeit in his head, finally caused Gregory to snap and charge.

"YOU! WHAT DID YOU DO TO VANESSA?!" he screamed, throwing a punch with all his might. But the evil rabbit simply stepped aside, watching him flop to the ground. Another voice could be heard laughing, this time the tone was of Glitchtrap.

WHAT'S THE MATTER, LIL' BABY?! YOU GONNA CRY?!

Gregory growled, letting out another scream as he rose and chucked his backpack straight for Afton. But just like before, he simply side stepped and let the bag hit the ground. Their eyes quickly met, the grin on Afton's face only irking Gregory more.

"What's wrong? I haven't laid a hand on any of your friends….have I?" Afton replied in a mocking tone. Without answering, Gregory hurried for his bag and grabbed his flashlight. He then threw it as hard as he could towards Afton. But all that happened now was Afton simply moving his head. Afton simply sighed.

OOOOH! WHAT DID YOU DO, WILLIE? THE KID IS ABSOLUTELY LOSING IT! DO SPILL!

"See…this is why I cannot STAND children. They're nothing but screaming…uncontrollable…selfish…WASTES. OF. LIFE." he said. Gregory's anger was now reaching its bubbling point as he came at Afton. But while he started to throw a wave of punches as fast as he could, the villainous adult simply held him back with a hand firmly planted against his forehead, preventing him from advancing.

"You DO realize this only proves my point, right?" Afton said "Hmph. And here I thought you could've been different." Tears continued falling as Gregory eventually stopped, left simply glaring angrily. Seeing his "tantrum" was over, Afton withdrew his arm.

"Had enough?" he asked. The boy stood still, seething with anger.

"Good. Perhaps I can finally get a word into our…coincidental reunion." he said. But as he took a moment to step back and face Gregory again, the boy had already grabbed his Fazer Blast and fired straight into his right eye. The impact left Afton howling in pain, fumbling back with his hands covering his eye. But Glitchtrap could only laugh estatically.

WHOOPSIE! LOOKS LIKE YOU SLIPPED UP, WILLIE!

His right eye was now a light shade of red as he slowly withdrew his hands and glared back at Gregory. The boy had both hands clasped onto his blaster, pointing it at him as if he was commiting a robbery.

"I don't get what SICK THRILL you've gotten from tormenting us all night, but I WON'T let you take Vanessa from me! So GIVE HER BACK!" he screamed, firing another shot. But Afton moved out of the way before, now growling himself, grabbed Gregory by the collar of his shirt.

"YOU LITTLE-!" he snarled, ready to lash back. But he stopped himself from hitting Gregory when his hand was inches from the boy's face, instead shoving him away with a heavy groan. The blaster fumbled from Gregory's hand as Afton worked to reign in his temper. He soon pointed a finger at him.

"Don't let that get to your head, rugrat! If you weren't crucial for my plans…I would've PUT your spoiled rotten arse in its place!" he retorted.

"Yeah, right! The only thing you seemed to have PLANNED was trying to get me killed all night long! And look what that got you! Nothing but FAILURE after FAILURE!" Gregory replied "Just what is this "big plan" that you'd want me for?! How am I different enough to let me live…yet kill so many OTHER kids until now?!" Afton did not answer right away, instead slowly crossing his arms behind his back. Even Glitchtrap was dead silent.

"Hmph. Seeing as you managed to last this long…as well as uncovering the multitude of operations I've had in place here…I suppose you've EARNED the right to know the truth." he replied. Gregory begun to slowly calm down, his anger seething out with evidence of his shoulders slowly letting up. Without a word, Afton extended his hand out towards Gregory before pointing a finger straight at his chest, Gregory left puzzled.

"Everything tonight has simply been a matter of tests….exercises to see if you were, indeed, the perfect candidate. And you passed them all with flying colors." he explained "So…congratulations, Gregory. Before the sun rises…and the Pizzaplex's doors re-open at six am….you will be walking away the NEW William Afton. The HOST body…for the decrepit soul of a literal DEMON." Gregory lightly gasped.

"Th-The new….what?" he asked, rendered speechless.
