Over the next few weeks, Sakura and Gaara spent most nights together at her place, where they were able to get the privacy that was never offered if they stayed at his place. Especially as Temari and Kankuro had a habit of barging into his room without knocking.
They were cuddled up in her bed. Sakura had her head on Gaara's chest, while he had his arm wrapped around her, his fingers tracing over her naked body.
Sakura smiled and yawned, her eyes drifting close, sleep pulling her under. For a while now, she felt tired more often than not and there were times at work, that she was barely able to concentrate on what she was meant to be doing.
Gaara smiled at her and kissed her forehead. He reached over and turned off the light. He pulled her closer, sleep pulling him under.

The next morning Sakura was woken up by her phone ringing. She sat up in bed and grabbed her phone. Without looking at the call display, she answered the call, "hello," her voice still laden with sleep.
"Hello? How long has it been since you've spoken to me?" Mebuki's shrill voice shot out, waking Sakura up.
"Mum," Sakura blinked several times and rubbed at her eyes, "how are you?" She looked over and found Gaara still asleep. As quiet as possible, she got out of the bed and grabbed her gown, slipping into it and made her way downstairs.
"It's a bit late for you to be asking," Mebuki shot out.
"Mum, it's too early for this," Sakura sighed out. "I'm sorry I haven't called you for a few days."
"Days? It's been weeks since I last heard from you."
Sakura rolled her eyes and huffed out, "I've been busy at work mum."
"This is why I didn't want you to move so far away from us."
"Yes, I know," Sakura shook her head, "what's the matter?"
"The matter is I have a daughter who can't be bothered to call her mother like she said she would."
Sakura grit her teeth, stopping her from saying what she wanted to, instead, she said, "how are you mum? How is dad? How have things been?"
Mebuki took a deep breath, "we are fine. Things have been fine at home too."
"That's good to hear."
"When are you going to introduce us to your boyfriend?"
Sakura closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath. She recalled telling her mum about being in a relationship after Naruto and Hinata's engagement party, just to stop her from asking any more questions. Before she could answer, Gaara made his way downstairs.
"Hey beautiful," he walked towards her and kissed her forehead, "would you like a coffee?"
Sakura smiled at him and nodded, "yes please."
"Who are you talking to?"
"Mum, I have to go, I'll talk to you later."
"Don't you dare hang up on me Sak-
Sakura ended the call and walked into the kitchen and wrapped her arms around Gaara, "good morning. I'm sorry if I woke you up."
Gaara turned around and hugged Sakura back, he kissed the top of her head, "who was that on the phone?"
"My mum," Sakura sighed out.
"Everything okay?" he looked at her, watching her carefully.
"Probably not, I cut the call on her." She let go of Gaara and grabbed her coffee, adding sugar into it. She blew on it and took a sip.
"What did she want?"
"She was complaining because I hadn't spoken to her for a few weeks."
They walked into the living room and sat down, finishing off their coffees. Sakura checked the time and groaned, "I need to get ready for work." She stood up and made her way to her room, grabbing her clothes and placing them on her bed and walked into the bathroom. She had a quick shower and made her way back to the bedroom and got dressed.
Back downstairs, Gaara was dressed in the clothes he'd worn yesterday. He smiled at Sakura as she walked towards him.
"Breakfast?" She smiled at him.
"Yes, please. Let me help."
Together, they made scrambled eggs, toast and bacon and sat down to eat. Sakura took a few bites of her food and felt nauseous. She pushed the eggs around the plate, checking if they were cooked properly. She looked at Gaara, who had almost finished his food and he seemed fine.
"Are you okay?" Gaara asked, noticing that her plate was still full.
Sakura nodded and picked up the toast, taking a small bite, glad that it tasted normal. With her toast finished, she took her and Gaara's plate to the kitchen, throwing away the remainder of the scrambled eggs and bacon off her plate. Dishes washed; she walked back into the living room.
"Sakura," Gaara walked towards her, wrapping his arms around her middle. He looked at her carefully, assessing her, "are you sure you're okay?"
Sakura smiled at him, placing her hands on his shoulders, "I am. Why are you asking?"
"Because you didn't finish your breakfast and you didn't finish your dinner last night either."
"I just feel a little queasy," Sakura reassured him, "the eggs didn't taste right and last night I wasn't feeling all that hungry."
Gaara nodded, still not convinced that she was okay.
"Stop worrying," Sakura laughed lightly, "I'm the doctor."
"And the doctor needs someone to look after her," Gaara smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Are you going to be my doctor," she wrapped her arms around him, an eyebrow arched up, her lips kicked to the side.
Gaara smirked at her and captured her lips in a deep kiss, "I would, but we haven't got time."
Sakura kissed him back, her hands moving to his buttons, desperate to tear them apart, but she stopped herself. She pulled away from him, "maybe you should be my doctor later."
Gaara smiled, "deal. But in the meantime, please let me know how you're feeling."
Sakura rolled her eyes as her lips pulled up in a smile, "okay. I promise to tell you if I don't feel well. Happy?"
"Yes," he kissed her gently.
Sakura melted against him. She enjoyed being with him, in his arms. She kissed him back. She checked the time and groaned, "I really have to go or I'll be late for work."
"I know," Gaara smiled at her, "I'll see you later."
"Are you coming over tonight?" Sakura asked him as she slipped into her shoes and placed her phone in her bag.
"Only if you want me to," he pocketed his phone and keys and walked towards the front door, unlocking it.
"I always want you here," Sakura smiled at him, and opened the door and walked out, Gaara following after her.
"I like being here with you," he smiled at her as she locked the door and they made their way to their cars. "Have a good day, beautiful."
"You too," Sakura smiled at him, unlocking her car and throwing in her bag. She got in and started the car, pulling the seatbelt over her. She waved at him as she drove away, the smile still plastered over her lips.
She walked into her office and turned on her computer and went through her diary, checking who her patients were today. She grabbed the files for her first patient and stood up, making her way to the consultation rooms.
For the next four hours, Sakura spoke to several of her patients, checking them over and where needed, provided them with the medication they needed. By the time she was done, she was starving, kicking herself for not finishing her breakfast earlier.
She decided to visit the onsite café and ordered herself a chicken salad sandwich and a bottle of water. With lunch paid for, she went back to her office and sat down to eat, but her door flung open and Sasori walked in, with a wide smile on his face.
"Let me guess, Deidara spent the night again," Sakura smiled at him.
"You're damn right he did," Sasori shut the door behind him and walked towards her table and sat down. "How are you?"
"I'm good, thanks," Sakura smiled, "how are you?" she opened her sandwich and took a bite. Her stomach lurched at that moment, making her feel nauseous once again. She covered her mouth as she felt bile fill her mouth. She stood up and rushed out of her room and towards the closest toilets. She rushed in and doubled over the first toilet and emptied the contents of her stomach. She retched a few more times before sitting down and holding her head in her hands.
"Sakura, are you okay?" Sasori's worried voice came through the stall door.
"I'm fine," Sakura croaked, wincing at the taste in her mouth. She stood up, flushed the toilet and walked out of the stall. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her face slightly pale with a sheen of sweat. She turned on the tap and splashed water over her face, followed by rinsing out her mouth.
"You don't look okay," Sasori looked at her.
Sakura sighed, "I'm fine, really. I just feel really nauseous."
Sasori furrowed his brow slightly, "Sakura…" he waited for her to look at him, "when was your last period?"
Sakura looked at him incredulously, "excuse me?"
"Have you had a period recently?" he asked.
"I had one…" she stopped and looked at him, shock filled her features, "I was due two weeks ago," she whispered to him.
Sasori nodded, "wait here." He walked out of the room, leaving Sakura to her own thoughts.
Sakura looked at her reflection, worry etched across her face, "it's probably because I'm stressed," she told herself, trying to calm her worries.
Minutes later, Sasori walked back in and handed Sakura a pregnancy test, "you know what to do."
"Sasori, I can't be," Sakura laughed lightly, her hands balling on either side of her.
"Let's find out either way," he gave her a small smile, holding out the test once again.
Sakura looked at the stick and with a shaky hand she took it. She walked into the stall and locked the door behind her. She carried out the test and stared at the stick with bated breath. Minutes later, the results were displayed, and Sakura let out a shaky breath, finding it hard to believe what she was looking at. Positive.
She threw away the stick and flushed the toilet and made her way out of the stall and to the sinks. She washed her hands and stared at her reflection, this time a scared face looked back at her.
"Sakura…" Sasori walked over to her, "you're…"
Sakura nodded, "I am pregnant." Her words echoing around her.
Sasori pulled her into a hug, holding her tight, They stood in silence for a while, and he stroked her back, before gently asking, "what are you going to do?"
"I don't know," she whispered, pressing her face against Sasori's shoulder.
"Let's go back to your office," Sasori said, pulling away from the hug. He took her hand and led her back to her office, getting her to sit down.
Sakura covered her face with her hands and groaned out, "how did this happen?"
"When you and Gaara were getting down and dirty," Sasori joked, hoping to lighten the mood.
Sakura shook her head and looked at him, letting her hands fall down to her stomach, "how could I let this happen?"
"Aren't you on birth control?" Sasori asked. He opened the water bottle and handed it to Sakura.
She took the bottle and took a small sip. "No, I haven't been on birth control for over a year now."
"You did use protection when you and Gaara slept together?"
Sakura thought about it and shook her head, "no, we didn't." She closed her eyes and groaned, "I can't believe I let this happen."
"It takes two to tango," Sasori told her, "this isn't all on you."
Sakura worried her bottom lip, she knew what Sasori said was true, but it didn't make her feel any better.
"Are you going to tell Gaara?"
Sakura looked at Sasori, "I don't know…" she answered truthfully. "We've only been together for a few weeks."
"True, but you've been seeing one another for a lot longer than a few weeks. You should tell him, he deserves to know and then, together you can decide what to do." Sasori gave her a small smile.
Sakura nodded, "I know." She ran a rand through her hair and sighed, "what am I going to do?"
"I told you, talk to Gaara, tell him he's about to be a daddy," Sasori smiled wide at her.
"You're not helping," Sakura told him.
"I'm just stating facts, he put the baby in you, so you need to tell him about it, then the two of you can figure what to do with said baby."
Sakura closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. After a moment, she opened her eyes and grabbed her phone, and send Gaara a message.
Hey, how are you? How's work? If you're free tonight, would you like to come over? I'll make us some dinner xx
She threw her phone back in her bag and looked at Sasori, "there, I've sent him a message."
Sasori raised an eyebrow, "you're telling him he's a father through text?" he asked incredulously.
"No," Sakura shook her head, "I've asked him to meet up tonight."
"Then after you've told him, you two can get back to getting down and dirty," he wriggled his eyebrows at her, while smirking wide.
"Sasori!" Sakura frowned at him.
"I'm joking," he laughed and stood up, "you know I'm always here if you need anything," he leant over the desk and placed a soft kiss on her cheek, "you're going to be one hot mama," he smiled as he straightened up.
"Thanks, Sasori," Sakura sighed out, watching as the man left her office, shutting the door softly behind him.
She forced her attention to her job, but her mind kept drifting to Gaara, wondering how she was going to tell him that she was pregnant. She wondered whether he'd even want a child or to be a father. The more she thought about this, the more she began to worry. Until, she finally decided to put it out of her mind until later tonight when she would see him.

"… As we're all agreed, we will carry on with the current contracts before moving on with the new ones. Thank you all for attending the meeting."
Gaara, Kankuro and Temari nodded and began to gather their things as the board members left the room, leaving the siblings alone.
"What are you doing tonight Gaara?" Temari asked as she turned off her laptop
"I'm going to see Sakura," Gaara shut his laptop and looked over at his sister, "why?"
"You seem to spend a lot of time with her," Temari looked at him.
"She is my girlfriend," Gaara told her.
Kankuro chuckled lightly, "she's just jealous."
"Jealous? Jealous of what?" Temari turned her gaze to him.
"That Gaara is getting laid and you're not," he smirked at her, and ducked down as Temari threw a book in his direction.
"Seriously," Temari sighed out, "how can you be so vulgar?"
"I'm just stating the truth as I see it," Kankruo stood up and walked over, picking up the book and placing it on the table.
"I still don't understand how you can be so vulgar and women still want you," Temari packed her files away.
"I happen to know what the ladies love," Kankuro wriggled his eyebrows and smirked once again.
Temari rolled her eyes at him before turning her attention to Gaara, "make sure you come home once in a while, it'd be nice to spend time with a brother who isn't vulgar."
"Hey, you enjoy my company, especially when we play board games," Kankuro told her.
Temari ignored him, "don't forget, we're still your family," she said to Gaara.
Gaara sighed and stood up, grabbing his laptop and files, "I know that."
"I'm just reminding you," Temari gave him a fake smile before walking out of the room.
"Ignore her, little brother," Kankuro walked over to Gaara and smiled, "you go and enjoy your time with the good doctor," he winked at Gaara and walked out the room.
Gaara shook his head and made his way to his own office. He sat down behind his desk and grabbed his phone, finding a message from Sakura. He smiled as he read it and replied to her.
Hi beautiful, I'm doing well, thank you. How are you feeling? Hope better. Work's been good, thanks. I would love to come over tonight. I miss you. Xx
He placed his phone back down and turned his attention to work for the next few hours.

Sakura had made sure to leave work on time today, and on her way home, she had stopped at the shops and brought some food for dinner. As she drove to her house, she spotted a car in the driveway, a car she didn't recognise. She furrowed her brow and got out, grabbing her bag and the shopping out.
She looked around and couldn't see anyone who the car could belong to. She shook her head and turned towards the front of the house. Her eyes widening with surprise to see who was standing there, the shopping bag almost falling out of her hands. "Mum? Dad?"
Mebuki and Kizashi were stood by her front door. Mebuki looked at her with a stern expression, while Kizashi smiled at her wide.
"Sakura, my darling," he walked up to her, hugging her, "how are you?"
"I-I-I'm good dad," Sakura hugged him with her free arm, "what are you doing here?"
"Well, if you hadn't hung up on me this morning," Mebuki walked towards them, her eyes narrowing at Sakura, "you'd have known that we were coming over to see you."
"Why?" Sakura asked before she could stop herself.
Mebuki raised her eyebrows at her, before shaking her head, "because you haven't bothered to keep in touch, like you promised you would."
Sakura gave her mum a tight smile, "well… welcome to my home." She let go of her father and walked to the front door unlocking it and opening it. She placed her bag on the sofa and walked into the kitchen, placing the steaks in the fridge, the potatoes and the vegetables on the side and walked back into the living room.
"It's a beautiful house you've got," Kizashi smiled at her. "And you were right, Suna is beautiful."
Sakura smiled at him, "I'm glad you like it."
Mebuki looked around, "at least you're not a slob here."
Sakura forced herself to smile at her mother, "how long are you staying here?"
"We've just walked through the door and she's already trying to throw us out," Mebuki huffed out.
"I wasn't exactly expecting you to surprise me by coming here," Sakura shot back.
"Like I said earlier, if you hadn't hung up on me, you'd have known."
Sakura bit back her response and took a deep breath, steadying herself. "It's nice of you both to come and visit me," she finally said.
"We're only staying for three days," Kizashi told her, placing his hand on her shoulder, "your mother has been worried about you, seeing as she hadn't heard anything from you since you left Konoha."
"It's her fault," Sakura mumbled under her breath.
"Don't mumble, it's not lady like," Mebuki scolded her.
Sakura shook her head, "let me show you the rest of the house."
Twenty minutes later, they were back in the living room. "I'll get your room ready later," Sakura said, On her way to the kitchen, she grabbed her bag and fished out her phone and unlocked it and clicked on Gaara's name, pressing the call button. She placed the phone against her ear, "please pick up, please pick up," she mumbled to herself.
"Hi beautiful," Gaara's voice filled her ear after the fifth ring, "I'm just about to make my way to yours."
"Gaara," Sakura whispered into the phone, "you can't come over."
"What's happened? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Sakura spoke low, to avoid her parents from listening to her conversation. "My parents are here."
"Oh…"
"Yeah," Sakura nodded and sighed, "I haven't exactly told them about us and if you were to come over, my mother would interrogate you like you're some kind of criminal."
"As long as you're okay."
Sakura smiled into the call, "I am… I miss you."
"I miss you too. How was your day? Are you feeling better?"
Sakura worried her bottom lip, thinking of a way to break the news to him, "I'm… I'm okay. Work was busy, you know…"
"Sakura, what's the matter? What aren't you telling me?"
"Nothing," Sakura tried to keep her voice light.
"Okay…"
Sakura heard footsteps approaching the kitchen, "I have to go," she said quickly, "I'll call you later. Bye."
"Bye beautiful."
Sakura hung up and pocketed her phone and grabbed three glasses, filling them with water just as her mother walked in. She turned to face her mother, handing over a glass.
"Thanks," Mebuki took a sip of the water, "I came to see what was taking you so long."
"I had a call from work," Sakura gave her a small smile and walked past her into the living room with the other two glasses. "Here you are dad," she handed him a glass and sat down next to him. "How was your flight?"
"It was good," Kizashi gulped down half the glass, "it's very hot here."
Sakura smiled at him, "you get used to it after a while."
"I'm glad we're only staying a few days," he finished off his water.
Sakura chuckled lightly and stood up, "I'll get dinner ready. How does chicken tonkatsu sound?"
"Amazing," he smiled at her.
Sakura walked to the kitchen and got busy prepping the ingredients, seasoning the chicken before covering it in flour, eggs and breadcrumbs. She placed the fillets on a plate before starting on the rice and slicing vegetables.
She grabbed a pan and filled it with oil and turned up the heat. She placed the chicken fillets into the pan, letting them cook. She stirred the rice and covered the pan, and seasoned the vegetables. Twenty minutes later, she had dinner plated up and set on the table. "Dinner's ready," she shouted as she placed down glasses on the table, followed by a jug of water.
Kizashi and Mebuki sat down at the table, "it smells delicious sweetheart," Kizashi smiled at her.
Sakura smiled at him, "thanks dad," she sat down, tucking into her dinner.
"When are we meeting your boyfriend?" Mebuki asked after a mouthful.
Sakura raised an eyebrow in question, she was sure she'd never mentioned Gaara to her before.
"Before you left after the party, you told me that you were seeing someone," Mebuki narrowed her eyes slightly, "you do have a boyfriend, right?"
Sakura took a bite of her food, chewing slowly, giving her time to think. "I do…"
"Uh huh," Mebuki raised an eyebrow at her, "you lied to me."
"No," Sakura looked at her, "I am seeing someone."
"Sure, you are," Mebuki shook her head, "I suppose this was your way to shut me up. Why can't you see that all I-
"I am seeing someone," Sakura shouted over her mother.
"I want to meet him!"
"Why? So, you can scare him away?" Sakura laughed without humour, "is that you came here? To check whether I've settled down?"
"Don't you dare talk to like that," Mebuki seethed, her eyes narrowing to slits.
Kizashi looked between them and sighed, "Mebuki darling, we came-
"This has nothing to do with you," Mebuki turned on him, "stay out of this."
Sakura rolled her eyes and stood up, taking her almost empty plate to the kitchen, disposing of the food and throwing the plate in the sink. She grabbed the remainder of the dishes and placed them in the sink and ran the hot water, scrubbing at the dishes. She stomped back and grabbed the remainder of the dishes and washing them before making her way to the stairs.
"Where do you think you're going?" Mebuki asked from behind her.
"You're in my home," Sakura muttered under her breath.
"What have I told you about mumbling young woman?"
Sakura rolled her eyes and turned to face her mother, "I'm going to bed."
"No, you're not," Mebuki crossed her arms over her chest.
"Yes, I am," Sakura turned to walk up the stairs, but was stopped again by her mother.
"We are not done talking."
"I am done talking," Sakura replied and made her way to her room, she grabbed the spare bed sheets and covers and placed them in the spare bedroom before making her way back into her room and slamming the door shut behind her. "Who does she think she is?" she shouted at the four walls, before lying down on her bed. For several long minutes, she laid there, staring at the ceiling, wishing for this crazy day to be over. First, finding out that she is pregnant, then her parents turning up unannounced. She took a deep breath in and let it out slowly, before resting her hands on her stomach, "what am I going to do?"
Just then, her phone pinged in her pocket. She sat up and grabbed her phone, finding a message from Gaara. She smiled at her phone, before worrying her bottom lip. She unlocked her phone and read the message.
Hey beautiful, how are you? How are things going? Xx
Sakura replied to him.
Hi Gaara. I'm on the verge of killing someone! Three guesses who! Xx
She watched as his reply came in within seconds.
That bad? If you'd like, sneak out and I'll take you somewhere xx
Sakura smiled at his message.
Will you hide me in your castle? Xx
I can, and I'll make sure no one will ever disturb us xx
Sakura thought about their time in the forgotten castle, how Gaara had her pinned against the wall, his mouth on hers, before attacking her neck. Desire flooded her, consuming her. She bit down on her bottom lip, her fingers flying across the screen.
I'd love that, and maybe this time we won't be interrupted in the castle xx
There was a knock on her door, pulling her attention away from her phone. She locked it and called, "come in."
Kizashi pushed open the door, he gave her a small smile and walked in, letting the door close gently behind him. He made his way to her bed and sat down next to her. "You know your mother means well."
Sakura sighed, her wanton feelings disappearing at the mention of her mother. She sighed and placed her head on her father's shoulder, "why is she like that?"
"It's her way of looking after you."
"It doesn't feel like that. Its more like she's trying to control me, dictate everything I do."
Kizashi wrapped his arm around her, "I know it doesn't feel like it, but she does love you."
"When I'm a mother, I'm never going to try and control my child and dictate everything he or she wants to do." Without realising it, Sakura had placed her hand on her stomach.
"You'll make a good mother," Kizashi smiled at her and stood up, "we are going to bed. Let's start tomorrow afresh, put everything behind us."
Sakura looked at him and gave him a small smile, "I'll try for you, dad." She stood up and wrapped her arms around his middle.
"That's all we can do. Good night my darling, sweet dreams" he kissed the top of her head before walking out of her room, closing the door behind him.
Sakura sighed and decided to call it a night. She got changed into her pyjamas and went through her nightly routine. She turned off the lights and laid in her bed. She pulled the pillow Gaara had slept on towards her and hugged it, letting his scent surround her. "You're going to be a father," she spoke into the pillow.
She closed her eyes and willed for sleep to take her under, instead, she tossed and turned for an hour until, finally deciding to sit up in bed and grab her phone. She unlocked it and found a message from Gaara.
I'll barricade the door so no one can walk in on us xx
She smiled at the message. She wanted to call him, to hear his voice but it was half past 11, and she didn't want to disturb him if he was asleep. She decided to send him a message instead.
Hi, are you still up? Xx
Two minutes later, her phone began to ring. Gaara's name flashing across the screen. She quickly answered it, pressing the phone against her ear.
"Hi," she whispered breathily into the phone.
"Hi, can't you sleep?"
"No," Sakura shook her head, "I miss you too much to be able to sleep."
Gaara chuckled lightly, "I miss you too beautiful."
Sakura smiled wide, "what are you doing still up?"
"I couldn't sleep."
Sakura nodded, "I know that feeling." She placed her hand on her stomach and thought about telling him about the pregnancy, but she wasn't sure whether telling him over the phone was the best idea.
"Sakura, what's the matter?"
"N… nothing is the matter," she forced her voice to stay cheery.
"I know you baby; something is on your mind."
Sakura smiled at the endearments he used, she took a deep breath, slowly letting it out, "I need to talk to you."
"That doesn't sound good."
"It's… well…" she tried to think of a way to tell him but she couldn't find the right words.
"Are your parents asleep?"
Sakura frowned at his question, "yeah… why?"
"I'm coming over, you can tell me what's wrong then."
"But…" she checked the time on her bedside clock, "it's almost midnight."
"I don't care about the time, you need me."
Sakura smiled, "thank you."
"No need to thank me, I'll see you in about twenty minutes."
Sakura nodded, "okay." Sakura cut the call and got out of her bed. She quietly made her way out of her room and listened with strained ears for any noise coming from the room her parents were in. All she heard were the soft snores of her father. Silently, she made her way downstairs, grabbed her keys and carefully unlocked the door.
For the next fifteen minutes, Sakura sat in the living room, the room was dimly lit, giving Sakura enough light to see where things were. She looked out of the window for any sign that Gaara was there. Finally, she saw the dimmed headlights, she walked to the door and opened it, watching as Gaara got out of the car and made his way to her.
As Gaara walked into her house, he pulled Sakura into his arms and kissed her, "hi," he said against her lips.
"Hi," Sakura said back, smiling. "I missed you."
"I missed you too," he kissed her again and closed the door quietly behind him.
Sakura walked into the living, Gaara following behind her. They sat down on the sofa, Gaara holding her hand, pulling her towards him.
"What's going on baby?"
Sakura looked at him and gave him a small smile.
"Whatever it is, you can tell me," he kissed her hand.
Sakura nodded and took a deep breath, here goes everything. "Gaara… urmmm… you see…" she licked her bottom lip.
"Yes baby?" Gaara gently prompted her. He could tell that whatever was in her mind, it was worrying her a lot, and he wanted to help her.
"Well… You know how we've been together…" Sakura cringed at her words.
"What about us being together?" Gaara tilted his head slightly, smiling at her.
"Well… I… I…" She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, "I'm pregnant."
Gaara stared at her, he was sure he'd misheard her. Several seconds later, he said, "what?"
"I'm pregnant," Sakura whispered to him. She looked over at him, a shocked expression staring back at her. "Gaara, I just want you to know that I'm not asking you to do anything or provide or anything like that, I just thought you should know. I know that our relationship is still so new and neither of us were expecting this to happen, if you say that you don't want to be with me anymore, I'll under-
Gaara silenced her with a kiss. "You're pregnant?" His lips pulled up in a smile.
Sakura nodded, "yeah." She looked at him, finding him smiling at her. "You're smiling?"
"I am," Gaara's smile widened. "I'm going to be a dad."
Sakura smiled at him, relief washing over her, "you are."
He pulled her towards him, getting her to sit astride him, "I'm going to be a dad," he placed his hand on her stomach.
Sakura sighed with relief. She placed her hand on top of his, "I was so worried about telling you, because I thought you'd be upset and say that you didn't want to be with me."
Gaara looked at her and smiled. He gently cupped her cheeks, caressing his thumb against her soft skin, "why would I ever want to leave the woman I'm in love with?"
Sakura stared at him wide eyed, "what…?"
Gaara nodded. He'd wanted to tell her how he felt for a while, and now seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so. "I thought you should know, and I won't be upset if you don't feel the same way, I'm not expecting you t-
Sakura pressed her lips against his, stopping him mid-sentence. "I love you too," she said against his lips.
Gaara smiled against her lips, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss. Slowly, the kiss deepened. He moved one hand in her hair, angling her head.
Sakura moaned into the kiss, her arms circling around his shoulders, pressing herself against him.
Gaara pulled away from the kiss, pressing his forehead against hers, "I should go."
Sakura shook her head, "I don't want you to."
"I know," he kissed her cheek, "but if I stay, I won't be able to hold back, and your parents are here."
Sakura bit her bottom lip, "we'll have to be quiet." She pressed herself against him again, making him groan.
"Sakura-
"And I'll make sure to sneak you out of the house before my parents wake up," she interrupted him.
Gaara closed his eyes. He wanted to spend time with her, to hold her and look after her. To tell her over and over how much he loves her. He sighed gently and smiled, "okay," he whispered, "I'll stay."
Sakura smiled wide at him, "thank you." She got off him and walked towards the stairs, Gaara following behind her, turning off the lights. Slowly and quietly, they made their way to her room, carefully closing the door.
Gaara placed his arms around Sakura, pulling her towards him. He kissed her neck gently and rested his hands on her stomach. "I love you."
Sakura turned in his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck. She smiled at him, "I love you too."
They spent the remainder of the night together in each other's arms, before falling asleep.
