As I enter the large room and sit comfortably on the sofa, I greet my wife Kaga, who is sitting opposite, scrolling through data on her PDA. Even doing something as mundane as this, she truly is beautiful, her pure white hair shining in the light, her deep blue sapphire eyes filled with curiosity as she reads. The sight is captivating in itself.

She is clad in her standard white and blue attire that fits her perfectly and even when relaxing at home, she holds herself in a formal, noble posture, her legs crossed and her back straight, tails only moving ever so slightly. "You look lovely this morning; how do you manage to pull it off so early?" I offer a sincere compliment, we truly had just woken up, yet she looked as radiant as ever.

A slight blush creeps up the pale skin of her neck as she looks up and replies. "Why thank you, you look delightful yourself." I look down at my creased commanders' uniform, ruffled from quickly slipping into it in a tired daze. I'm sure Kaga was just being kind, but nonetheless, it feels nice to complimented.

Akagi, my other wife, comes through from the main room, carrying a tray full of morning beverages. She gently sets it down on the glass table, dishing out a cup of tea for both herself and Kaga, then offering me my mug of coffee. She can't quite contain herself and remarks on my choice of drink. "Truly, at least drink the Royal Navy's tea, I might prefer Sakura Tea, but I must begrudgingly admit it is of high calibre, certainly better than that rot you drink." I give a chuckle, it's become almost routine for Akagi to complain about my choice of coffee every morning.

She sits herself down next to me, forcing me to move up the sofa slightly to accommodate her. "Big day..." I state looking towards Akagi. Her ears start twitching excitedly and her tails start moving back and forth in a rhythmic pattern.

She takes a sip of her tea before replying. "Indeed, those Eagle Union fools will never know what hit them, the idiots will crumble within seconds, and victory will be ours." She grins triumphantly, putting on a show of bravery. However, I know her better than that.

It had been just over a week since 'the incident' when Akagi had attempted to cheat by obtaining data on the Eagle Union's fleet to help her win. Inside, she was undoubtedly dreading the event, as a loss would present a losing streak for the Sakura Empire and sully her own name as well as the entire faction. The events were not meant as a serious competition, just as an informal test of skill for each faction and some fun. But undoubtedly each faction got rather competitive, with the Sakura Empire easily being the worst offender. A loss to them was regarded as unacceptable and dishonourable beyond measure.

The day after the incident, me and Akagi had again apologized to each other, deciding to both share the blame for our spat. I had messaged Nagato requesting a meeting, and we sat down and discussed the competition, alongside Akagi. I refrained from telling Nagato about Akagi's attempt to breach the rules, as I felt it was more of a personal matter, and instead recommended that she give Akgai more autonomy in planning for the event, which she reluctantly agreed to.

Of course, the obvious downside was now that if the Sakura Empire lost, the blame would fall fully and completely on Akagi. So, while she acted confident and arrogant on the outside, I knew that my wife was actually under a lot of pressure to win, and she was simply trying to hide it.

I stretch my arm behind her back, taking her by her shoulder and bringing her closer. "I'm sure it will be fine, and remember, it's just a practice exercise, whatever the result may be." I say softly, trying to comfort her.

She gives me a clearly forced smile then proclaims. "Well, of course, it's going to be fine, did I not just state that we will obliterate those Eagle Union fools with ease!" Still attempting to cling to the act to preserve her dignity.

Kaga looks up from her PDA on hearing this, clearly looking unimpressed. "Really, dear sister, are you still maintaining that charade? You do realise that my ears can tell you are lying through your fangs?" Kaga's ears make a theatrical twitch as if to emphasise her point. "Besides, both me and Shikikan both know full well how anxious you are, and we are both worried about you, there is no need for the act, we simply wish that you do well."

Akagi's face quickly changes to a look of defeat as she abandons the act. I hug her tighter "I have every confidence in you, I'm sure that you will try your best, and the result will hopefully reflect that" I carefully craft my words, dancing around actually supporting a Sakura victory, due to my forced neutrality.

I do wish I could openly say that I wish that the Sakura Empire would win, but that would be a breach of protocol. However, deep down, I truly did want the Sakura Empire to win. The Eagle Union were significantly more laid back, and while a defeat would annoy them, a defeat for the Sakura Empire would crush my poor wife's spirits completely and no husband would wish to see that.

Akagi composes herself. "Thank you, both of you, for your concern. I suppose I will have to try my best, and the chips will fall wherever they may." She finishes off her tea, leaning over to me and giving me a quick kiss, her ears twitching happily. "I shall depart to practice before the event, our team must prepare, after all, I do hope you will cheer for me from the side-lines." She quickly gets up, giving a goodbye to her sister and climbing the stairs, giving a tired, but this time genuine smile before the door opens and closes, leaving me with my white-haired wife alone.

"I don't think I've seen her this riled since we were genuinely at war with Azur Lane." She puts her PDA down, finished with it and picking up her cup of tea. Her eyes give off a look of slight melancholy. "That seems such a long time ago now..." Indeed, there was once a time when, even with the Siren threat, the great nations of the world were at war with one another. That war had been brutal, but the distraction it had provided from the Sirens had been the true cost.

I shift uncomfortably, I had served Azur Lane in that war, fighting both the Crimson Axis and the Sirens, and I did not like to dwell on the fact that I had bitterly fought my current allies, not to mention the very foxes whom I later took as my wives. My mood begins to dampen as I recall memories that I would rather bury.

Kaga seems to realise where my thoughts dwell and lays her tea down, before switching sofa to sit beside me. Her tails wrap around me comfortably as her face becomes apologetic. "Sorry, I know you do not like to reflect on the past, I should not have mentioned it." Her hands wrap around my shoulders, body pressing into mine giving off a re-assuring heat.

"Its…. nothing…. I just have some regrets is all..."

Kaga moves even closer until she is practically sitting on my lap, her eyes staring into mine with an intensity of emotion. "We all share regrets about that war, dear husband, but if we did not have those regrets, it would never have happened and we would never have met. You spared our lives, showed us kindness, and that is a debt I and my sister will never be able to repay, however much we try." She finishes by taking me in a deep loving kiss, embracing me with her surprisingly strong arms, tails massaging my sides. Her tongue dances with mine in a duel which she inevitably wins, pinning it down while she has her way with my mouth.

One of her hands finds itself at the back of my head, gently pushing me deeper into the kiss as my own hands roam her back, seeking purchase in any surface as my mind melts and my heart starts pumping quicker. We both moan lustily into the kiss, completely ignorant of the world around us, focused only on each other. Before I know it, one of my hands has slipped under the back of her clothing, running up and down, feeling the contours of her bare shoulder blades.

My other hand has found its way around the front of her body, and dips into the opening of her dress, massaging one her breasts through her expensive silk bra, feeling her nipple harden slightly as she grows more aroused. She moans loudly into our kiss in response, seemingly trying to shove her tongue further down my throat, before she seems to stop her herself and pulls back, short of breath. "…. stop…. please…" I force my hands to stop their wandering and pull them back from her body, respecting her wishes. A bright blush is plastered all over the adorable fox's face as she takes deep breathes, steadying herself, still sitting on my lap. Her tails retreat from me, although they stay in constant motion, swaying excitedly.

"Feeling better?" she grins at me.

I struggle to rein in my rushing mind and heart, but manage to formulate a response "definitely… can't even remember what we were discussing…."

She gives me a quick peck on the forehead and dismounts my lap, sitting by my side once more. "I wanted to try and be a bit more..." she pauses and her blush deepens. " physically affectionate for you… Akagi is always so... forward... so... I felt I should try..." She keeps blushing and seems to have trouble getting her words out, but manages to continue "and what better time than to take your mind of something... I would have loved to continue... but unfortunately, you have places to be and an important event to attend."

It was incredibly cute to see my normally rather conservative wife, at least compared to Akagi, try to be a bit more affectionate and headstrong. Yet still, clearly, be embarrassed by her actions with a weapons-grade blush all over her face. So much so, that I barely register her words as I gaze at her, absolutely smitten.

I try and shake it off and focus on what she said. The event was taking place in 3 hours. I had just enough time to get some extra work done in the office beforehand. I stand up, collecting my coat and briefcase from the closet before realising that I should ask my wife what her plans are, I turn around to face Kaga. "What will you be up to this morning?"

She stands up and makes her way towards me, her movements just as graceful as her sisters. She reaches me and gives me a goodbye kiss, straightening my tie before replying. "Training in the dojo for a bit and seeing Akashi for some maintenance. Then eventually I will join you at the event and pray for a Sakura victory." She gives a warm smile before leaving the room. I mentally prepare myself for the day ahead, and head upstairs, closing the door behind me as I head towards the port.

Luckily the 3 hours pass quickly in the office, with only a minimal amount of paperwork to complete today. My secretary for this week was Hood, a renowned battlecruiser of the Royal Navy. She flits to and frow, organizing the office, occasionally giving me paperwork to sign and cleaning as she goes. I dare say she was as efficient as Belfast at the position.

As the 3 hours draw to a close, she stops her movement, giving me a dazzlingly elegant smile and a deep curtsy, her eyes practically glowing with happiness and sincerity. "Sir, I believe the event is going to begin soon, so, if you wish to see it, may I suggest leaving now?" I nod in agreement, giving my thanks for her help today as I slip my overcoat on, nervous about the outcome of the upcoming event.

I head towards the event building, a large structure, resembling a football stadium, yet sliced in half. As I reach it, St Louis stands by the entrance. She greets me warmly and escorts me to my private box. "Enjoy the event, Commander." She gives a cheery wave as she departs back downstairs.

Kaga is already waiting in the room, sitting on what appears to be a luxurious sofa, with an ice bucket full of champagne to the side, which Kaga had already taken the liberty of pouring a glass both for herself and me. I always felt the luxurious private box felt unnecessary for viewing events, but my wives always seemed to appreciate the luxury. The glass walls look down on the seating area, where I can see many ships seated down, waiting for the event. I spot a few recognizable faces, most ships are either from the Eagle Union or Sakura Empire, but there is a handful of Ironblood and Royal Navy ships too.

I look to one of the large TV screens within the box, which is showing the same feed as the extra-large TV's outside, designed to showcase the action to the seating area. The event itself actually takes place out at sea, in a pre-set training area, with the action streamed back using drones to the event building. The stream is currently just showing the Azur Lane logo, with some irritating generic music playing, clearly, the event has yet to start. I sigh, and take my coat off, putting it on a provided coat hanger stretching my shoulders.

I place my hand on Kaga's head as I pass, giving her a gentle head pat. I then drop onto the sofa and reach for my glass of champagne, having a large sip to try and calm my nerves. "Maintenance go ok?" I ask, making small talk.

"Absolutely fine, quite frankly a waste of my time." she says with minor irritation, cuddling closer to me and resting her head on my shoulder.

She looks at me as she speaks "So, what are your thoughts? Eagle or Sakura?" She was referring to who did I think I would be the victor. I, of course, had detailed plans from each faction, including the ships involved, their tactics and equipment. As the event was about to begin, I no longer had any reason to keep this secret, so took out my PDA from my pocket, accessed the relevant data and handed it to Kaga to read.

I gave her my thoughts from what I remembered of the data. "Akagi and her team are making a play for the early game, close combat, speed and power over endurance. Their fleet is focused on torpedoes and short-range attacks. If they can pull it off, they have the advantage." Kaga nods in agreement as she scans through the relevant data.

My mind starts thinking strategically as I remember the Eagle Union's plans. "The Eagle Union have of course prepared for this, it's a common Sakura tactic, however, they haven't fully prepared for it, as they have diverted some resources to more AA and battleships than necessary, and are anticipating Akagi to hang back and provide support from afar."

Kaga finishes viewing the data and uses her sharp mind to quickly come to a similar conclusion to me. "But their wrong, are they not, dear husband? Akagi intends to gamble and deploy herself to the frontlines, taking a more active role in the fighting to surprise them. That's why you think she has the advantage?"

I nod. "Of course, it depends how the Eagle Union flagship reacts to this..."

Kaga takes a sip of champagne before speaking. "It's odd, not actually being a part of the competition for a change, I still want the Sakura Empire to win, but it feels different to when I'm on the field, when I'm there, I feel I have to win."

I stroke her ears gently. "I just hope Akagi doesn't take it too badly if they lose, I cannot face seeing her miserable again, not so shortly after last week." I say, tired emotion creeping into my voice. Kaga nuzzles against me, visibly enjoying the fondling I'm giving her fluffy ears. We both look up as the stream makes a loud klaxon noise and the event starts.

The event starts by displaying the members of each team for the audience

Sakura:

IJN Akagi – CV – Flagship

IJN Taihou – CV

IJN Tosa – BB

IJN Atago – CA

IJN Noshiro - CL

IJN Yuudachi – DD

Eagle Union:

USS Essex – CV – Flagship

USS Washington – BB

USS North Carolina – BB

USS Cleveland – CL

USS Northampton – CA

USS Baltimore – CA

The teams displayed exactly as I expected, having seen them before. Akagi had eventually been given free rein to choose her team, much to Nagato's chagrin. Her choice of Taihou had surprised me, not because it was a poor choice, in fact, it was an excellent choice. But because Akagi and Taihou simply did not get along personally. If there was one person in the port she butted heads with more than Enterprise, it would be Taihou. Their personalities simply did not mix well. However, Akagi seemed to realise she was a good choice for the team, especially the strategy she had devised and had decided to forgo her personal feelings towards the Sakura carrier, which made me incredibly proud of her as I knew that it was not something she did easily.

The stream then goes through the usual rules, when the rigging of a ship is destroyed, they are disqualified. A team can win by either sinking the enemy flagship or the entire enemy fleet. The screen then displays multiple angles of the battlefield, showing each teams perspective before a timer appears, counting down till the beginning of the match. The timer hits zero, and the action immediately begins.

As I anticipated, the Eagle Union moves into a defensive formation around Essex, their flagship, with Washington and North Carolina, their two BB's, joining her and taking up ranged bombardment stances.

Akagi's strategy was to rush the enemy and eliminate the BB's quickly before they could fire on either her or Taihou, her ranged support. However, there was an unknown factor to this equation, Baltimore. Baltimore easily outclassed most of the IJN ships in close quarters, but some lucky torpedoes or a salvo from Tosa could inflict heavy damage. If these missed, however, Baltimore could easily slow down their advance, allowing the Eagle Union backline to support.

The 3 Eagle Union cruisers spread out in front of their backline defensive formation, scanning for planes or ships. The Sakura fleet had already started moving at speed, the only one not moving being Taihou, who had deployed spotter planes. It took around 4 minutes for the first rounds to be fired. Taihou's spotter planes had been seen by Cleveland, who had fired at them before they retreated. Taihou immediately relayed Cleveland's position to the main Sakura attack force, and they diverted course towards her. Northampton had started heading in the direction of the spotter planes, along with Cleveland, with Baltimore, being slower, hanging around the USS backline.

The two fleets meet before long, with Northampton and Cleveland on one side, and Atago, Yuudachi and Tosa on the other, with no sign of Akagi or Noshiro. Tosa immediately stops at range, levelling her cannons to fire as both Yuudachi and Atago rush the American cruisers, then fire torpedoes when in range.

The USS Cruisers are clearly outmatched and outgunned and relay a request for support back to their main formation. Both Washington and North Carolina bring their cannons to bear on Tosa and the Sakura cruisers position respectively, given the information from their frontline. Washington fires her cannons first, a loud explosion echoes through the drone's mic as it captures a spectacular view of the shot.

However, before North Carolina can fire her salvo, she is struck by multiple torpedoes, coming seemingly from nowhere. North Carolina grits her teeth and bares the attack, injured, but not out of the fight as she brings her close-range guns to bear. The attacker quickly becomes apparent as Noshiro appears, at a distance from the main formation, her katana in hand, a serious expression on her face as her uniform sways in the sea breeze.

Washington's salvo hits home and strikes Tosa, with devastating effect as she took the brunt of the full salvo. These were obviously training rounds, but it still always looked incredibly painful when using such large calibre rounds, and I always felt sorry for the ships involved. Tosa crumples to a heap, her rigging dissipating, signalling her disqualification.

Kaga, still lying back against me in the crook of my arm makes a surprised gasp as her sibling is taken out of the fight. I too, feel my heart plummet, while it's far from over, losing their only battleship, which was key to victory against Baltimore is a huge loss this early on.

Taihou's bombers soon descend on the USS frontline ships, however, both ships are equipped with heavy AA guns, and make light work of them, along with Essex's deployed fighters. Taihou has yet to deploy fighters, although I suspect she knows as well as I, when it comes to air superiority, Essex and the Eagle Union cruisers will win each and every time.

Luckily, Taihou's strike provides enough of a distraction for the previously fired torpedoes to land, dealing an enormous amount of damage to both cruisers. Cleveland attempts to get back up, after being sent flying from the hit, but her rigging quickly dissipates and she falls back down into the water. Northhampton, having heavier armour, takes the hit, grimacing, although it still clearly hurt.

By this stage, Essex's bombers have arrived, so Taihou is forced to deploy her fighters, sacrificing them to thin the number of bombers. As the bombs fall, it is clear the Sakura fleet lack effective AA as they take a hammering, with Yuudachi failing to notice the swarm till it's too late, her frail body being immediately pelted with 1000lb bombs, destroying her rigging instantly. Luckily Atago is quicker on her feet and manages to dodge most of the airstrike, although it does clip her, seeming to damage her main guns. The teams currently sit at 4 vs 5. With all the Eagle Union BB's still operational.

Noshiro had luckily managed to get a second salvo of torpedoes off before being engaged by both the BB's secondary guns and Baltimore's arrival. Akagi had attempted to rush the USS formation but had been also stopped by Baltimore. But the American cruiser was fighting a losing battle, fighting two ships at once. Akagi danced around the ocean, summoning projectiles with her hands and firing them straight into the heavy cruiser, not giving her room to breathe, being careful not to be hit herself. Noshiro herself had engaged Baltimore in close quarters combat, using her Katana to cut away at her rigging. The second round of torpedoes hit Essex and North Carolina, with Essex gritting her teeth at the damage but shrugging it off, but unfortunately for North Carolina, the second salvo was too much, and her rigging dissipates as she falls.

This is when, if I was a Commander, I would have retreated by backline and regrouped as the Eagle Union, allowing the weakened Sakura fleet to come to me at a distance, without a BB, but Essex makes the fatal mistake of attempting a counter-attack. She deploys bombers to engage Akagi, so she is forced to retreat from her fight with Baltimore, deploying her own fighters to intercept.

Essex orders Washington to fire at Akagi. If this salvo can land to full effect, the battle may well end here and now. I feel Kaga's hand squirm into mine and we hold each other nervously. Washington's cannons fire loudly again, and I watch the rounds arc into the air with trepidation. Luckily, Akagi is rather quick on her feet and the salvo just grazes her body, doing minimal damage. Washington's eyes narrow in clear annoyance as her cannons reload.

Just as she is about to line up another shot, she is hit by a torpedo which damages her significantly as she turns towards the threat. The threat as it turns out is a very badly damaged Noshiro, her rigging looks like it could dissipate at any second as she limps along, deep scratches to her clothing and skin. Baltimore is left behind her, face down in the water, no rigging to be seen, in a similar-looking state to Noshiro. The Sakura cruiser points her katana up at Washington and smiles as she fires a full AP salvo into the battleship, causing Washington's rigging to recoil with the damage, and seemingly damaging her main cannons. Washington snarls in anger, and leaps towards Noshiro, firing her secondary guns as both ships clash. Within a minute both of their riggings crumble and they hold each other up, both exhausted from their short fight, but each respecting the other.

Akagi visibly relaxes as the impending danger is dealt with and she leaps towards Essex, who is slowly retreating and the two flagships clash. In a one-on-one duel, I'm genuinely unsure on which carrier will win. Akagi is more used to close-quarters combat, but Essex's armament is generally superior.

I hold Kaga closer seeking comfort in her company as she wiggles closer into me, doing the same. I look to the frontline fight to see that it has essentially become a stalemate, both Atago and Northampton are badly damaged and stand, mere inches apart, both with their hands on their knees, they have clearly been fighting for some time, and are both exhausted. Just as I take my eyes off Akagi to check that, I hear Kaga gasp and put her hand over her mouth as she whispers "oh, dear sister" my heart drops as I quickly try to identify Akagi on-screen.

I find her. She looks badly damaged; Essex must have dealt a devastating blow. Essex herself is clearly damaged, but not nearly as badly. Essex smiles victoriously, standing over Akagi, ready to deliver the final blow as Akagi is still recovering. However, Essex's head twitches, looking towards something we cannot see, then quickly leaps back, retreating as bombs land exactly where she had been standing mere moments ago.

Akagi manages to pull herself up as her saviour, Taihou appears next to her. The two share some brief words that we cannot hear over the drone mic and prepare to fight Essex together. I breathe of sigh of relief, by this point, it's a forgone conclusion. The two carrier's vs Essex is a guaranteed victory, with the only other Eagle Union Ship too far away to help. Sure enough, within 3 minutes, Taihou lands the final strike, and Essex crumples, her rigging dissipating, a tired look of defeat on her face.

Kaga rather uncharacteristically jumps up and sequels in delight, then turning and pouncing on me, giving me a deep hug. She quickly pulls back and clears her throat, attempting to still her tails which are wagging excitedly. "I, um, am very happy that she won, she deserved it, it was an excellent display of power." A blush rises from what she considered uncouth behaviour.

"I can see that from the way you squealed like a cub." I reply, a grin plastered over my face.

She punches my arm lightly. "Making fun of your wife when she is happy is bad decorum."

"Your right, I'm sorry." I give my apology, attempting to wipe the ear-to-ear smile of my face and failing.

She sighs in exasperation "Anyway, we should go congratulate her on the victory." I retrieve my coat, and we leave the room, arm in arm.

The events building is a bustle of activity, with ships talking about the match and slowly filtering out. I spot Enterprise and Nagato shaking hands as faction leaders, each congratulating the other. Me and Kaga quickly exit and head towards the shore, where the contestants will be returning.

As we near, I see Baltimore being helped along by her sister Bremerton. While she looks worse for wear, she wears an exhilarated expression on her face. "Good fight?" I call out and she grins.

"One of the best I've had in a long time, that Noshiro really knows her stuff, I'm going to need a rematch with her at some point"

I laugh good-naturedly. "I'm sure she would be more than happy to oblige, well done to you as well, it was an excellent performance." She gives her thanks and continues on.

Speaking of, it's not long before we see Noshiro, sitting down on a chair, looking exhausted. Kaga quickly strides up to her, looking her over. "Nothing Akashi cannot mend" Noshiro attempts to stand and bow to her senior, but starts wobbling the second she puts weight on her feet, and Kaga quickly helps her back down.

"Beautiful work out there, you did the whole Sakura Empire proud Noshiro." Kaga congratulates her, shaking her hand.

"Thank you for the high praise, but I merely did my job"

I step up and shake her hand as well, "I think you deserve a bit more recognition than that, not only did you take on Baltimore, a distinguished heavy cruiser, and win, but also Washington. You fought bitterly to the end and gave it your all, as Commander, I have to say, it was some of the best combat I've seen, I think the other light cruisers could learn a thing or two from you."

Her eyes glow with happiness at the praise. "Thank you, both of you, it means a lot."

"It's you who deserves the thank you, I'm sure Akagi will want to see you and thank you personally later as well, but for now, please go get repaired and rest up, you deserve it." She smiles and nods as we walk away.

Next, we come across Tosa, who looks surprisingly well given she had taken a full salvo from Washington, Kaga quickly leaps at her, taking her dear sister in a loving hug. Tosa reciprocates, with a smile on her face, but clearly annoyed with herself for her performance. "Why hello, my sister, enjoy the match I hope? Apologies for my lacklustre performance, I imagine you expect better from me..."

Kaga fusses over her, checking her rigging and health before replying "Nonsense, dear sister, you were merely unlucky, I would like to see that Washington take you in a one on one duel, I doubt she would stand much of a chance." Kaga compliments her sibling, Tosa bows before giving a smile

"That sounds like a good plan, I look forward to playing another round of go with you sometime." She gives her sister another hug before going to leave, dipping her head towards me as she passes by. "Shikikan, I trust you will continue to care for my sister, I do know she can be troublesome at times..." I smile and assure her I will as she struts away.

We finally reach our destination as 3 carriers supporting each other come barrelling from the sea, landing in a pile in front of us, it's almost comical if it wasn't for how truly exhausted each one is. Essex is the first to get back on her feet. "Hello Commander, enjoy the show?"

I shake her hand "I did, it was fantastic, good work out there, although if I'm honest, I think you need to work on your tactics."

She smiles sheepishly "Yea, I kind of bungled it, I don't suppose you saw Enterprise's reaction?" She says, starting to get worried, her head scanning around for her sister.

"I didn't, but I'm sure she will have enjoyed it nonetheless, and be happy to see you back, she is your sister after all." She gives a half-hearted smile.

"Yea, I guess, right I'm going to head off and find her, see you later" She slowly walks away, her head still scanning around nervously for a sign of her revered sister.

Both Taihou and Akagi stand up, supporting one another. Kaga immediately attaches to her sisters' side, both checking her over and supporting her weight. "Hmm, she needs immediate repairs, but nothing more" Taihou looks to be in much better shape than both Essex and Akagi, having not been in direct fighting for as long, although she still looks drained.

"My Shikikan, did you enjoy Taihou's display of power? Did it please you yes? I can tell..." Even tired it seems she still acts like…. well, Taihou. She does remind me of Akagi in a lot of ways, at least, before we were married, it's one of the reasons that Akagi cannot stand her.

"Yes, Taihou, it was great, thank you for agreeing to be a part of the Sakura group, the only reason they won was because of you." She gives a predatory smile while walking closer to me, to the point where she feels uncomfortably close.

"Yes, I am incredibly important to both the Sakura Empire and my Shikikan, am I not? truly, what would you do without me? In fact, my Shikikan, I think I deserve a piece of my property as a reward, I worked ever so hard for it." She licks her lips, and is just about to start wrapping an arm around me when I hear a loud growl and Taihou freezes, her eyes narrowing in anger for being interrupted.

Before I know it, Kaga is in front of me, pushing me behind her defensively with a furious expression on her face, her tails bristling behind her. "I appreciate your help with the event today, Taihou. But do not for one second think you can push your luck because of it. You lay even a single finger on my husband, and I shall not be responsible for what happens to you. And I can assure you, it will not be pretty..."

A rage descends over Taihou's face at Kaga's words, and I begin to think that we're going to have a major incident when Taihou seems to decide against it, and her face calms slightly, she sighs. "Fine, I'll let you keep my Shikikan for now, I would not wish to sully our victory, would I?" She sharply turns and struts off, leaving me with my two wives.

"MY Shikikan! Who does that vixen think she is! Appropriating you, in front of me no less, arghhh, I can see why my sister hates her so." She mutters, her tails still puffed up in anger. "Truly, if I see her again, do not blame me if we end up with one less ship in the dock, for I will have ripped her throat out with my fangs, and taken my time doing it." She grins, the mental image bringing her some joy. I shiver, not entirely sure if she's just letting off steam, or genuinely serious.

I grab Kaga's shoulders rubbing them to calm her as she turns to face me. "Easy there, let's focus on the victory and women of the hour, shall we?" Kaga seems to melt into me as I continue to massage her shoulders. She nods, calming herself. We both turn to Akagi, who has been uncharacteristically silent, and we see why. She has sat back down, a glazed look of tiredness on her face. I would not have been surprised if you told me that she was in a coma. She clearly had not heard any of the conversations that had just taken place.

We both heft her up and sit her down on a nearby chair as she seems to rouse herself slightly. "Dear husband, dear sister, come to congratulate me on my magnificent victory I hope?" She was as humble as ever, although you could argue that this time, she deserved it.

Kaga stands to her side, gently stroking her sibling's hair. "It was a beautiful display of combat prowess sister, truly a joy to behold. We absolutely must spar together again at some point, watching you victorious on the battlefield has gotten me…. excited at the prospect." Akagi's ears twitch and her tails beat on the ground happily at the praise, she then turns and looks expediently at me, her eyes staring into mine ravenous for praise from her beloved husband.

I can't take it and pounce on her, taking her in a deep hug, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I think you did brilliantly, you controlled your forces like a true commander and your plan worked fantastically. You should be very proud, both for yourself, and the Sakura Empire. I know that I am deeply proud of you, well done." Her tail starts moving even faster and her ears turn into a blur of motion as she basks in the praise and a rare blush appears on her neck, creeping upwards.

"Well, it's only natural as Akagi, the renowned and feared carrier of the Sakura Empire, the wife to Azur Lane's brilliant commander and the flagship of the glorious 1st carrier division, that I would win. It was a foregone conclusion the minute those moronic westerners challenged us." At that last part she sheepishly looks up at me and mouths an apology, I wave it away, letting her have her moment.

"We should get Akashi to look at you, then you need to rest at home, come on." Me and Kaga both support her from each side as we make our way to the repair yard.

Luckily Akagi is seen to quickly when we get there, whether that's due to her status as the winning flagship, her general reputation as a carrier, or the fact that she is the commander's wife, I do not know. Akashi investigates her damaged rigging, repairing it with minimal cost, due to the damage being inflicted with training rounds. Next, she patches up her minor wounds but states that her larger wounds will need time for her wisdom cube to slowly fix on its own, but the damage is minimal, so shouldn't take longer than a couple of hours.

As we leave, Akashi makes a snide comment on how she was kind this time due it being an organized event and did not charge. I'm tempted to retort that she shouldn't charge for repairs as is when we are defending humanity against a world-ending threat but decide against it, I never win when it comes to arguing with that money-grubbing green-haired rat.

When we get home, we take Akagi immediately to the bedroom and leave her peacefully snoozing, splayed out on the bed. Me and Kaga both sit down in the living space, tired from simply observing the event, and the stress it had caused. She cuddles into arms, just as she did in the private box, and we watch some TV, waiting for Akagi to wake up.

The episode we were just watching finishes, some mediocre crime drama that I'm only half-listening too, and I stretch my shoulders while I look at Kaga, half expecting her to have fallen asleep on me. But I find her perfectly awake, her beautiful blue eyes staring back into mine. I look at the time, it's near 6pm, almost 3 hours have passed since we got home, and Akagi has not stirred once.

Kaga picks the remote up, muting the tv before turning back to me, sitting herself up and mounting me with a lusty expression. She sits on my lap, her knees straddling me as she bends down and trails kisses down from my neck as her ears twitch. I can feel the wet trail of saliva she leaves as she unbuttons my shirt, bit by bit and I begin to feel aroused, my heart beating faster. She pulls her head back up, our faces practically touching nose to nose. "While we wait for my dear sister to wake up…. Why don't we continue what we started this morning?" She says, her voice much lower and huskier than normal, clearly this mornings session had gotten under her collar, as much as it seemed to embarrass her.

This time, I'm the one to initiate the kiss, mashing my lips into hers, determined to pin her tongue down this time. Her hands go instinctively to my chest, exploring, and occasionally groping what she can.

She takes a particular interest in my nipples, pinching and massaging them roughly. I decide to return the favour, opening the front of her dress and delving one of my hands into her bra, manhandling her nipple and squeezing the supple flesh around it. I twist and pull gently, getting more intense reactions out of her each time. It quickly hardens as her moans intensify, sending vibrations down my body. My other hand ascends to one of her adorable fluffy ears, knowing that she is especially sensitive to having them played with. I squeeze it gently while stoking up and down rhythmically. Occasionally my thumb dips into her ear canal, eliciting a gasp each time from the sensitive fox.

She breaks the kiss and starts grinding her crotch against my leg, unable to stop her hips from bucking any longer, closing her eyes and biting her lip at the pleasure the slight friction provides. She whines softly. "Please...I...I... need more..." She looks at me with her lusty sapphire eyes full of wanting. "I... need it..." Her hands stop abusing my nipples and dive for my belt impatiently, struggling with the clasp in her rush.

And then, of all times, I hear the latch to the bedroom door open. Kaga immediately stops pulling at my trousers, her ears swivelling towards the sound. She mutters several Sakura curse words under her breath and practically falls off my lap in her attempt to detangle herself from me. Akagi swiftly appears, looking significantly healthier, as her eyes widen as she absorbs the scene in front of her.

Kaga is sat on the coffee table in front of me, her dress completely open, exposing her silk bra, which in turn, is doing a poor job of hiding her body, with the left side pushed up, revealing her breast with its bright pink nipple standing to attention, although her hands quickly go to cover it. Her breathing is rapid, and she has what I can only describe as the deepest, brightest blush I have ever seen all over her body, with her ears practically smoking.

I am not in a much a better position, I sit laid back into the sofa, my shirt completely unbuttoned, bare chest visible and my belt was undone. I can feel a competing blush to Kaga's rising up my face as I look towards Akagi.

Akagi stops for a second, seeming to process the situation before erupting into laughter. As tears spill from Akagi's eyes, Kaga and I try and reattach all of our clothing, until we look somewhat presentable. Akagi finally manages to calm her laughter, wiping tears from her eyes. "No, no, you misunderstand, please, by all means, continue, don't let me stop the fun, in fact, I may even join you…" Her expression suddenly turns predatory as she starts striding towards me, her hands descending to her sash, starting to undo it.

Kaga stands up and stops her with her arm. "We… We… were simply killing time till you woke up, and now you are awake, so there is nothing to discuss." Kaga stutters before finding her words, Akagi looks genuinely disappointed, her plans for a night-long threesome shot down by Kaga. I knew from experience that Kaga was not against such acts, but she tended to need some coaxing and time to mull the idea over, so when she was simply expecting it to be just me and her, adding her sister into the mix unexpectantly was not something she was comfortable with.

Akagi sighs, and tightens her sash, fully aware of Kaga's fickle sexual nature and choosing to respect it. She sits down to the left of me, before giving me a deep kiss, before running her lips over my ear, her tongue dipping inside my ear slightly and whispering huskily. "I think we both know who's better at pleasing you… Shikikan." She gives my ear lobe a nibble as she retreats, teasing me. I have to clamp my mouth shut to stop a moan of need slipping out, being rather pent up, having gotten all hot and bothered with Kaga.

Kaga eyes our interaction inquisitively, then sits next to Akagi, the 3 of us squeezed onto one sofa. Akagi lies back, closing her eyes and relaxing, clearly pleased with herself. A few thoughts run through my mind, and I decide to voice one of my ideas. "Congratulations again Akagi, on your victory, truly well earned. I would say it deserves some form of celebration? Fancy going to town for a meal and drinks? If you feel up for it of course?"

Her reaction is immediate as she beams happily. "Why of course, I would love that, although we should probably get changed and prepare properly. We are to be seen in public after all."

Akagi was always conscious of her look whenever she left the house, but even more so when she left the port. We often frequented a quaint town, not far from the port. It was a bustling port town, with a decently sized commercial area and a handful of renown restaurants and bars.

Within about an hour, we were ready to depart. Akagi and Kaga had both taken their time picking out dresses and getting ready. The two sisters seem to be deep in conversation about something, but stop immediately when I approach.

Kaga had chosen a deep blue dress, with a cut underneath her bust, accenting her generous assets. Two straps hold the dress up from the front, attaching to a frilly choker around her neck, from which a small blue gem dangles.

Akagi on the other hand had gone for one of her more traditional strapless dresses, the main colour a deep red, accented with an underlayer of black cloth around the edge. She too had a choker around her neck, although this one more understated than her sisters, and a tighter fit in her iconic red. She had finished her look off with a small silver necklace, from which a crimson red gemstone was attached. They both looked stunning, and I tell them as much.

I had chosen a simple slim-cut white shirt and some casual black trousers, nothing too fancy, but enough to make it seem like I was making an effort. Together it paired well with my normal black overcoat, at least I thought.

Akagi gives a warm smile "As do you, dear husband. Truly, I could just…" She licks her lips sensually while her eyes examine my body. "...eat you up."

Kaga nods "You do certainly give off a certain air of authority dear, even out of uniform, it suits you." I can't help a but allow a smile to creep onto my face at the genuine compliments.

"Right, let's be off." Both sisters grab their luxurious fur coats, one blue and one red in traditional fashion, and chuck them over themselves, bracing for the cold outside as we leave, arm in arm.

I have the driver drop us off at one of the more luxurious restaurants in town. I had rung before we left and booked a table. Business was hardly booming this close to the Siren frontline, so seats were easily available. The Host greets us warmly, not reacting to Akagi or Kaga's inhuman features in the slightest. We had visited this restaurant several times, and as Commander of the nearby port, I had become somewhat well known within the quiet town. Unfortunately, I wish the same could be said of the other diners, but a silence quickly descends as we enter, the other diners peering at Akagi and Kaga and discussing the ship girls in whispers.

This always pained me greatly, I understood why people reacted the way they did, but it always felt incredibly rude. Ship girls themselves were considered odd in most circles, but the town and public, in general, had begrudgingly begun to accept them, although they still gave the girls odd looks behind their backs. However, it was much worse for Sakura Empire ships, for they had two distinct points against them.

For one, their appearance, as most Sakura Empire ships had inhuman tails or ears, or even horns and other assorted oddities, which made it much harder for the public to accept them, most considering them demons or simply emotionless monsters. Then, perhaps even worse, their allegiance, where they were born, or I suppose, manufactured. The Sakura Empire itself. The majority of the Eagle Union public still held a deep-seated hatred of the Sakura Empire for the previous war, and while the military forces for both nations had buried the hatchet to deal with the Siren menace, many still believed that the Sakura Empire was built on lies and suffering. They thought that the Empire would immediately strike the Union and it's allies once the Sirens had been dealt with, attempting to strike while the iron was hot.

Being a military commander in charge of the alliance, I could easily dismiss this notion for what it was, fearmongering and idiocy. The Sakura Empire was not looking for another war, they simply wished for it to all be over, as did all the factions. The girls were not some half-breed monsters, they were people, with feelings and emotions, and I should know, I married two of them.

But alas, the publics feelings are not so easily swayed. Therefore, Kaga and Akagi, some of the most easily recognisable ship girls, and very clearly Sakura women, must suffer through the stares of these idiots. It was enough to make my blood boil, my wives being talked about under hushed breaths, being referred to as monsters, both feared and hated. As we sit down in the back of the restaurant, having been taken to a small corner table, I realise I've been clenching my fist in anger.

Kaga sits down next to the left of me and notices my clenched fist, and instinctively knows the source of my anger. I look down, ashamed at not being able to hide my protective feelings. She places her hand over mine, and her other hand goes to my face, gently forcing me to look at her. She gives a brilliant gentle smile. "Do not allow it to bother you so, we do not give it any thought. It's perfectly normal, besides, before long, they will move on to other topics beside boring old us…"

For whatever reason, it never seemed to bother Akagi or Kaga, maybe they were just used to it, and she was undoubtedly right, even now as we request the drinks menu, the atmosphere has changed as conversation from the other diners begins to flow once again. I just hated that it was something they had to go through, yet had no power to change.

Akagi, to the right of me, noticing our conversation, sidles closer and gives me a quick kiss on the cheek. "Come now, let us focus on more important things, like drink!" She gives a heartfelt laugh, and my mood begins to brighten as we order our drinks.

The rest of the night goes smoothly, with us simply requesting a sharing platter of a variety of grilled food for starters, which Akagi promptly eats most of, leaving me and Kaga very little, she was clearly hungry after the event. Both sisters request sushi for their main, pining for a taste of their homeland. I myself have a good old-fashioned steak and chips, which is cooked perfectly. Kaga and Akagi both maintain that the sushi is nowhere near as good as the one in their home port, which they promise to take me to once the Sirens are eliminated, but they begrudgingly admit that it was good quality.

As the dessert menu comes around, Kaga, who has a bit of a sweet tooth, orders a deluxe chocolate and strawberry ice cream sundae. Akagi simply opts for another drink instead, ordering a cosmopolitan, her tenth cocktail. I initially refuse the offer of a dessert, but when Kaga kindly offers, I ask for a sharing spoon to go with hers. While we wait for our sundae, Akagi sips on her cocktail, clearly rather tipsy, although, it is her celebration I suppose, so even if she wanted twenty more, I feel I would have to oblige.

We finish off the sundae together, Kaga feeding me the sundae with her spoon, and me doing the same for her. Akagi just watches us intently from her seat, seemingly enjoying the show. We finish, depositing, the spoons in the empty sundae glass. "Enjoy feeding one another like cute young lovers?" Akagi jests. A blush quickly starts spreading up Kaga's neck.

Akagi notices and pushes even further. "Oh please, dear sister, it's so easy to make you blush, I can assure you, it was not nearly as embarrassing as what I caught you two doing earlier…" She takes a sip of her cocktail, delivering the killing blow. Kaga's face is as red as Akagi's dress by this point, as she's reminded of the prior embarrassment.

I quickly interject "You seemed to enjoy watching us, so why complain?" Akagi gives a sly, sultry smile, it's effect somewhat diminished by a short *hic* as she gives an alcohol-fuelled hiccup.

"Indeed, watching someone feeding her romantically, being so kind, so loving towards my dear sister… who just means the world to me. It may have been incredibly enjoyable… and stimulating"

Ah, I see why she watched us so intently now, and I feel a blush rising up my face as well, both of us at Akagi's mercy. Akagi just laughs, and waves down the waiter, requesting the bill. I promptly pay it, and we make to leave before Akagi can mention anything else. As we leave, I feel the eyes of uneasy diners watching us closely, and I can feel my anger flaring up, but I try to push it down and think back on the pleasant night we just had instead.

We bustle through the door, shedding our coats. I stride into the main room, turning the lights on before turning to my wives. Oddly enough, Kaga is deeply blushing and seems like she has something to say, but keeps her lips sealed. Akagi instead, strides up to me, taking me in a deep kiss, shoving her tongue down my throat before coming back up for air. She clings to my side, then turns to Kaga and beckons her over. Kaga complies, as she attaches herself to the other side of her sister, and they both give each other multiple short sweet kisses. Akagi turns to me with an unmistakable look in her eye. "I had a chat with Kaga earlier, and my dear sweet sister has decided she's up for some…." She pauses, hands running down my chest. "…fun" She ends by enveloping me in soft tails.

"For my benefit, of course, it is, after all, Akagi's celebration and therefore Akagi's reward, do not forget that..." She starts referring to herself in the third person as she starts nibbling at my neck and her hand descends lower. I realise that Kaga has seemingly disappeared until I see the light turn on in the bedroom.

"I… see" I manage to stammer out, as I feel the heat rising in my cheeks. Akagi stops her actions, walking lithely towards the bedroom, one side of her dress already falling down, she looks seductively over her shoulder and motions with her hand for me to follow. I do as I am told; it would appear a long night awaits.
