I gaze into the large mirror, straightening my bowtie and appraising myself. I didn't scrub up too bad I suppose. I was wearing a classic black tuxedo, one of the most expensive outfits in my wardrobe, reserved for special occasions.
The occasion this time was one of the Royal Navy's prestigious galas. They tended to host one every couple of years to celebrate the formation of the Alliance and keep morale up. All members of the Alliance, Kansen and otherwise were invited.
I twist my oath ring slightly a warmth growing in my heart. This was the first time I had actually brought Akagi and Kaga to this event as my wives, and was glad to finally be able to call them such at the event. 8 months of marriage… had it really been so long. It felt like no time at all.
I smile at my image in the mirror before looking out of the large ornate window at the city shrouded in night before me. London truly was a lovely city; I had visited many times on official visits and I never tired of it.
I was in some incredibly luxurious establishment, with each guest assigned a room and the Gala taking place in the event hall. The rooms were fancy and ornate, full of plush cushions and gold finery. The Royal Navy did tend to enjoy the finer things.
I feel a hand slowly wrap around my shoulders as a warm body sidles next to me, observing the view too. I turn to find my fair-haired wife ready in her beautiful blue dress, the very same she wore on our first date. "You look stunning Kaga."
A light blush slowly creeps up her neck as she smiles back at me. "You look fantastic yourself, dear husband, looking forward to the event?"
"I am, it really is great to see everyone so relaxed for a change. Is Akagi ready yet?"
Kaga rolls her eyes. "Gods, I hope so. That bootlicker could take all night preparing if she saw fit."
Just then, a door from across the room opens and out strides Akagi with a bright smile adorning her face. She is also wearing the luxurious red dress that she worn on our first date, and it looks just as stunning now as it did back then.
"Ah, Dear Shikikan, how do I look?" She grins and twirls for me, giving me a lovely view of her open back and causing the light fabric of her dress to shimmer in the light.
"Lovely, as always of course." Her ruby eyes sparkle at the compliment as she chuckles lightly.
"My… don't you just know what a lady likes to hear…" She moves towards me, giving me a light peck on the lips before saddling to the opposite side of me to Kaga. "Shall we?" She asks.
I move out of the room, heading down the stairs towards the event, a beautiful fox on each arm.
Even though this was the third gala I had attended, it still took my breath away every time. The huge ornate hall, with large side rooms branching off, filled white cloth tables and chairs, large glass chandeliers hanging from the roof. Waiters bustled to and frow, carrying food and drink for guests.
The majority of the main hall was taken up by a large ballroom floor, which is where the majority of guests were currently stood talking, although some had already taken the liberty of sitting down or mulling around the side rooms.
I feel a slight pit in my stomach at the sight of so many people, but try to shake it away. It's not that I was anti-sociable exactly, but etiquette was everything at events such as these, and not to mention, other commanders, politicians and most importantly, my superiors, were all here. It made the whole event somewhat stressful, even if the overall goal was the relax.
Various guests greet me as I pass, some I recognize, some I do not. The majority are Kansen, but there are a fair number of humans as well.
Speaking of, one of the first people to approach and greet me and my wives is an Ironblood politician I had come to know quite well.
He has a thin tall frame with short dark hair and is wearing a similarly luxurious tuxedo to mine. On his arm a similarly tall blonde woman wearing a lovely golden dress clings; I knew her as his wife.
As he approaches, he gives a thin-lipped smile as his eyes clearly display his distaste. "Ah, Commander, Guten tag. How long has it been? Just over a year has it not? Get into any more trouble?" He offers his hand to shake, so I extract my hand from Kaga for a second to shake it in return.
"Hello… Viktor. I'm well, and yes, it has been just over a year. I believe you were filing a formal complaint with me about the Ironblood's contribution to Azur Lane funding and the way I allocated it within my port…" I try to keep my tone civil, but some contempt slips into my speech as I speak to the fork-tongued politician.
Viktor grins maliciously in return. "Ah, yes, that was it wasn't it. Oh well, it was only business after all. How are things? I notice you are still… close… with some of your charges."
His eyes drift over Kaga and Akagi and I feel them both stiffen up in my arms, both maintaining a warm smile while undoubtedly inwardly wanting to rip the man to pieces.
I give him my brightest smile and hold my hand up with both Akagi and Kaga's hands, showing off the glistening oath rings on our fingers. "Actually, we got married, almost eight months ago now. So close might not cover it anymore…"
Immediately a look of disgust covers his face but it's quickly wiped away by an insincere smile. "Ah, well… I'm glad for you, I guess. Each man to his own though… I rather the company of my own kind, if you gather my meaning…"
He pauses, again appraising my wives before continuing. "Anyway, we should be off, enjoy yourself, commander." He grins at me as he turns and leaves, his wife giving me a similar look of disgust before moving on with him.
Kaga cannot take it anymore and her face descends into one of rage and she snarls as he melts back into the crowd. "What an insolate slimy rat. The way he spoke to you… and of us. I should have struck him on principle alone…"
I wrap my hand back around her side and rub comfortingly with my hand. "I know, I know, he's a piece of work, but it's just how he is. He has never supported the Alliance, and he has never approved of our relationship. But we should just ignore him." Kaga closes her eyes and breathes deeply a couple of times before turning to me with a smile.
"Of course. I just don't like people speaking to my husband in such a way… but let us move on, there are many other guests to talk to, and much more drink to consume!"
I turn to Akagi and notice a distracted look in her eye. "Everything ok?" She refocuses on me and smiles.
"Ah, yes of course… he is most certainly a snake, but I am in dire need of some drink, so let us find a waiter."
Before long, we are sipping champagne and talking to other guests. Some are Kansen that are regularly stationed at my port, and so I know them well, others I only know in passing. We talk with Hornet and Helena for some time, both wearing some stunning dresses that fit each of them perfectly before moving on.
I notice a lone figure leaning on a table in the corner of the room observing the other guests. She has long brown hair tied in a ponytail with blazing pinkish eyes. Her figure is incredibly eye-catching, perfectly accented by her black dress, which is longer on one side, and shorter on the other, revealing a tempting amount of her pale skin.
I vaguely recognize her as Jean Bart, a feared Vichya Dominion battleship. She had been rotated to my port on occasion but had never stayed for long, tending to stay at the Vichya's home port. My eyes cannot help but roam over her as I start to head towards the table to speak to her until I feel a sharp pain as my ear is tugged and I'm brought to a standstill.
I expect to see a jealous Kaga, but instead, see that she has walked off and is currently talking to Shoukaku. Instead, I'm faced with Akagi, looking deeply unimpressed. "Dear husband, I do hope your eyes were not wandering over that temptress in the corner, were they not?"
I blush slightly as I reply, all too aware that I cannot lie. "Maybe… but I was also interested in why she was standing alone in the corner."
Akagi gives a malicious grin, still painfully holding on to my ear. "You were interested in why she was alone, and hoping to keep her company, yes? Oh, what a gentleman… and if she happened to enjoy your company a little too much and invite you up to her room, that was just an unintended bonus, right?" She finishes her point my twisting her hand slightly, causing my ear to hurt even more before releasing me.
I rub my sore ear. "Ow… no, not at all. I was merely curious. Although I thought you did not mind my wandering eyes, I remember you saying it was only natural…"
Akagi lets out an annoyed *hmph* before replying. "I do not mind when I am not present... To have your eyes wander so when your wife is right by your side is uncouth. And if you must know, I do not mind you bedding another, when I specifically allow it, and most importantly… I am involved…" She licks her lips while staring directly at my face as her left hand that is not holding a drink caresses my body.
"Do you know how hard it was for me to allow even my own sister into your bed without me present? It was excruciating... to trust another woman to be alone with you…" She shudders then turns and looks at Jean, her eyes running over her lithe figure. "The thought of you and that… thing… alone in a room... such a pretty one… long legs, lovely figure…" She trails off as she continues appraising the Vichya battleship.
"Wait… are you jealous?" I ask, she immediately turns towards me with a rare, yet bright blush on her cheeks.
"Of course I'm jealous you fool… You could have at least eyed a woman who is less resplendent than me…" I can't help but let a grin slip onto my face in response.
I decide to test my luck. "But you wouldn't be opposed to sharing?" I say half-jokingly.
Akagi snorts in derision before replying. "I am fickle, if I suddenly decide that I don't want to share, then that is my call... depends on what mood I am in dear…" She glares at me with faint anger, making her current mood transparently clear.
I chuckle, not at all surprised by her behaviour. "Ok, ok. I was joking… I'm sorry, her figure may have caught my eye, but I really was mostly curious." I wrap my arms around her and take her in a short kiss. "Let's go socialize some more." Her ears and tail twitch happily in response as we turn away from Jean.
I soon regret turning back to the crowd as Enterprise appears from nowhere with a bright smile. She is wearing a lovely free-flowing black dress with a huge opening at the front showcasing a significant portion of her chest and skin.
"Ah! Commander, I've been looking all over for you!" With Akagi right next to me, she brazenly takes me in a tight friendly hug. I hear a light growl from Akagi's throat, but Enterprise pays her no heed, pressing her body into mine.
I myself have been taken by complete surprise. There was a reason Enterprise had been looking for me.
I had been avoiding her.
Ever since the incident with Archiver, seeing Enterprise hurt. It hurt a lot.
My mind fills with the visions that the cursed Siren showed me. The blood… so much of it… Akagi's blood flowing into the sea… Enterprise kicking Akagi while she was down, earning a pained whimper from the defeated fox. The crunch of the arrow hitting my wifes wisdom cube… It all replays in my mind, over and over again as Enterprise hugs me.
She pulls back and her happy eyes quickly fill with concern and confusion. "Commander? Is everything ok?" I stare back at her blankly, my mind still pained with the memories. It takes me a second to realise I had completely tensed up, and that my eyes were watering.
"I… I'm fine, um… just excuse me for a moment, Akagi, I won't be long." I quickly wipe the tears and move away from them, trying to push the thoughts aside.
I decide that I better head outside to get a breath of fresh air, so exit the ballroom and head out of the large doorway to step into the cold outdoors, collecting my overcoat from the entrance, where I had deposited it when we arrived. I lean back against the wall and sigh, trying to straighten my mind.
I hear someone call my name, and look up, expecting to see Akagi, but for the second time tonight, I expect the wrong wife as I'm greeted by Kaga's concerned visage. "I noticed you walking out of the party, you looked distraught, everything ok, dear husband?"
I flash her a distracted smile. "Decided I needed some fresh air" I carefully avoid mentioning my wellbeing or my reason for needing said fresh air, so as to not be tripped up by my wife's sharp ears.
Kaga's face is still filled with concern, but she does not push, instead taking me by my arm. "Care for a walk?" She asks. I nod enthusiastically. We could not be long mind; we would be missed from the party and a long walk would undoubtedly hurt Kaga in her tall heels.
We walk arm in arm, away from the venue and down the street towards the rest of the bright city. The night air is bracing and I begin to feel sorry for my wife in her light dress that shows so much skin as she visibly shivers. I quickly take my overcoat off and cover her shoulders with it, she attempts to protest but I give her a pointed look making sure she knew I would not take no as an answer.
She simmers down and thanks me as a blush appears on her neck and she shimmies closer to me as we walk side by side.
Before long we reach a bright busy commercial area, full of lights and large shop displays, packed with jewellery, dresses and other assorted luxuries. I'm brought to a sudden halt and the crowd weaves around us as Kaga stops in front of a jeweller which is displaying various necklaces and bangles, all encrusted with precious gems, and undoubtedly pricey.
Indeed, upon closer inspection, some of the items have price tags attached and my eyes widen at the cost, hoping against hope that Kaga hasn't set her heart on one such item.
I hear her laugh lightly next to me and I turn to find her firmly observing my face. "Do not fret dear, I was merely perusing the more expensive variants, I don't have my sister's outlandish tastes after all."
I blush at her reading my thoughts so easily. She presses herself closer to me, the bare skin of her bosom squishing slightly against my side as I feel her warmth. "Now… having said that…" She flutters her eyelashes at me coyly as her tails wag happily. "I do rather adore that lovely piece there."
The carrier lithely stretches her arm out as her ears twitch in excitement, pointing towards an admittedly beautiful silver chain choker, from which a sizeable sapphire hangs on a pendant. My eyes scour the display in search of the price, trying my best to keep my thoughts to myself this time.
Luckily, the choker is mid-priced, at least for the clearly up-market jewellers. I do a quick conversion in my head to figure out its rough value in dollars and I wince at the result, it might be cheaper than the truly jaw-dropping prices of the most expensive options, but it was still incredibly pricey.
I look back at Kaga to find her eyeing me expectantly as her fox features twitch with anticipation. She always maintained that Akagi was the one who was obsessed with her appearance with expensive tastes to match and that she herself was happy enough with anything. But it was clear at times like this that she still valued her appearance and the finer things in life, as much as she may deny it.
My wife continues to stare at me, awaiting a response with her wide-open eyes and cute ears perked up. I knew full well that unlike Akagi, who could not be swayed easily, Kaga would accept it if I told her I did not have the money. One more look at her expression is all it takes though. Unable to withstand the assault, I give in to the adorable fox.
"Come on then… my treat." Her expression morphs into a wide, dazzling smile as she purrs in happiness, leaning forwards and giving me a light kiss on the lips.
Around 10 minutes later we step out of the store, Kaga holding a white gift bag containing the expensive accessory. The jeweller had attempted to push some other items alongside it, which I had swiftly turned down, but aside from that, he had been incredibly polite and professional.
Best of all, he did not seem phased by Kaga's appearance or nationality in the slightest. I suspected that in such a high-class trade, he undoubtedly encountered people from all around the world, and more than likely had many dealings with people from the Sakura Empire.
Kaga turns and gives me a hug. "Why thank you, dear, that was very sweet of you. You did not have to, you understand? I would not have minded should you have denied me."
I reply truthfully. "I know. But then, I wouldn't have got to see you this happy." A blush rises up her pale cheeks in response.
She pauses in thought, then, uncharacteristically uses her strength to push me into a wall nearby with her spare hand, in the middle of the busy street. She pounces on me, her lips suckling on my own as her tongue darts occasionally into my mouth, brushing the tip of my own tongue. I can't help but moan quietly at the sudden affection, taken completely off-guard.
I feel her hand trail down my body until she reaches my manhood, giving the area a tight squeeze before pulling back from the kiss, breathing heavily as her eyes shine with an odd mixture of lust and embarrassment.
"Kaga?" For her to be so brazen in public was very out of character. I can see a bright blush on her neck, proving she is indeed embarrassed by her actions, yet is continuing regardless.
She gives me a nervous smile. "I think a dedicated husband such as yourself deserves a reward, do you not?" She presses her body into mine with more pressure, forcing my back to dig into the wall, then starts planting sloppy kisses on my neck.
I notice people watching us as they pass by and start to blush heavily. I gently peel my wife off me before speaking. "Kaga… that's… err… very nice of you. But I didn't buy it for some form of reward. No relationship should be based on that."
Her eyes clear of the lust slightly as she replies. "Of course, I know that. But…" She cranes her neck and places her lips on my ear as she continues to hold me against the wall. "… what if I want to reward you… what if I need to…" She whispers huskily into my ear.
She dips her warm tongue into my ear before suckling on my earlobe slightly as her hand descends yet again to my covered manhood. This time, she dives her hand into my suit trousers, her fingers cradling me through the fabric of my boxers.
I gasp at the contact but manage to stutter out a protest. "Kaga… I don't think…" I cannot see her face, all I can hear is her lusty voice in my ear.
"Are you sure you do not wish for a reward? Shame… I was going to suggest I put that lovely choker on my neck…"
She pauses ever so slightly and then continues at barely a whisper. "and you could try to stretch it…" She makes a sucking noise with her mouth to emphasise her offer and I shudder with need as images of exactly that come to mind.
Any resistance I once had has been eroded away by the actions of the horny fox. She pulls back and reads my reaction. Her blush has deepened even further, but still, she smiles before taking my hand and pulling me along.
We continue down the busy street for a while before turning into a quieter part of the district, and eventually, we find ourselves in a dark side alley. It's strangely quiet, and the bustle of the city can only just be heard a few streets away.
Kaga forcefully pushes me against the wall, but this time keeps her distance, before letting my overcoat fall from her shoulders into her waiting hand, revealing her dress once again. My heart is racing as I wait for her to continue, looking forward to what is to come next.
She sets my coat down on the floor next to my feet, giving herself a comfortable place to kneel as she eyes my groin with wanton lust. Her tails coil around her in anticipation as, true to her word, she takes her existing choker off and replaces it with the one I had just purchased.
Her fingers brush the silver chain, caressing it. "What do you think dear?"
I look down at her, kneeling in front of me in a very lewd position and try to compose myself enough to offer a compliment. "It looks beautiful, as do you."
She beams at my words before licking her lips and placing her hands on my thighs and moving her face towards my clothed manhood, preparing to service me.
In a flash, she is standing upright and has pressed me into the wall and whispers in my ear. But, instead of the lewd dirty talk I was expecting. Her tone is deadly serious, all semblance of lust gone in an instant. "They stink of alcohol and violence. Stay behind me."
She stops pressing me into the wall and turns towards the entrance to the alley. Her tails are puffed up around her and her ears press against her scalp as she bears her fangs.
My confusion at her words vanishes as I understand their meaning, 3 men of average build soon appear, all wearing hoods and laughing with one another. They stop as they spot us and quickly close in.
"Oh… sorry, hope we weren't interrupting anything…" The thug grins maliciously. His eyes wander over Kaga's form and he wolf whistles. "Oh, man… I'm not partial to the Sakura bitches myself, but aren't you a damn fine specimen…" He looks towards me. "She ya gal?"
My hands form into fists as he eyes my wife like a piece of meat and I respond angrily. "Wife. And she's not a bitch."
The three men laugh and the talkative one holds his hand up in mock apology. "Oh, I mean no offence, it's just that the Sakura gals have a reputation, ya know? For being a bit… feral in the sack..."
He steps forward. "Hmmm… I've never had a Sakura gal before, any of you guys?" His companions respond with shakes of their heads and drunken laughter.
He looks at Kaga again. "Say, how about you dump ya hubby, and come with us instead. Trust me, it'll be a good time."
Kaga speaks for the first time, her voice full of contempt. "Vile filth, I would never lay with you, I dare say any women would."
His face contorts in anger, and suddenly, two of the men are holding knives in their hands, glistening in the moonlight. "Bitch! I wasn't asking. Come on, gimme a snog"
My eyes widen when they draw their knives and I fight every instinct in my body which wants me to push Kaga behind me, placing myself between her and the blades. My feet start to move of their own accord, the only thought on my mind to protect my wife, but I manage to stop myself.
It wouldn't make any sense, no doubt Kaga was worried for my wellbeing in this situation, not her own. The blades were of no threat to her. Kansen could not be killed by such paltry weapons. She could still bleed, and it would still hurt but it would never be enough to cause lasting damage to her wisdom cube.
But I, on the other hand, could still very much be killed by such things, and lacked the physical strength to fight off three attackers, unlike Kaga, who should easily be able to take on any number of human opponents and win.
The de-facto leader of the thugs holds his knife up. "I said, I wasn't asking. Slut. But… tell ya what, cuz I'm such a gentleman, if you give us all that fancy jewellery…" He motions towards Kaga's accessories and the watch on my wrist.
"…then I'll make sure that me and the guys are real gentle, kay? And, as an extra bonus, I won't even make your hubby watch us defile ya… How great is that?"
They snicker. "Otherwise… it might be a bit unpleasant; I might find out what it's like to fuck a one-eared fox." He laughs maniacally while pointing his blade at Kaga's ears threateningly.
Kaga just growls in response.
"Oh, feisty are we. We should fix that. Ya hubby is cowering behind ya like a coward, so I wouldn't rely on him to keep you safe. Maybe I'll cut off a tail or two, make a nice scarf." The thug grins before leaping at Kaga with the knife.
My heart stops and I feel a deep pit of worry in my stomach as I watch.
I shouldn't have worried of course. It was a foregone conclusion the second they threatened Kaga. In a flash, barely perceptible to the human eye, it's already over.
The man is sent flying to the ground, his arm bent at an unnatural angle as he screams in pain, tears streaking down his face. His knife clatters to the floor at Kaga's feet and the two others look at each other nervously.
It takes me a second to realise what had just happened. When the thug had leapt forwards with his knife, Kaga had grabbed his wrist, snapped it backwards breaking it with a crunch, causing him to drop the knife. She had then brought her other elbow down on his outstretched arm, shattering the bone and breaking his arm before kicking him in the stomach and causing him to fall, probably damaging some ribs in the process. All that in barely a second. A kansen's strength and speed really were incomparable to humans.
The two remaining thugs quickly decide against it, probably realising she was a kansen before running for it. Kaga summons an ethereal blue projectile and aims at one of their backs, before thinking better of it and dissipating it. She walks over to the leader, who is sat on the ground, rocking back and forth clutching his arm and begging us to call an ambulance.
She kicks him down into the floor again and steps on his broken arm. He screams in agony. She fixes him with a glare. "Beg."
She growls as he looks up in confusion. She starts to apply pressure with her foot, and he wails. "Beg for it." She repeats herself. "Beg for your miserable life."
He immediately starts grovelling and apologizing to her and she eases the pressure on his arm. "Apologize to my husband, not me. I was never in danger, but my husband was." He turns to me and begs forgiveness.
It's hard to watch, and I almost start to feel sorry for the man. But then I remember what he had said, the things he had intended to do with Kaga, and any remorse I had vanishes.
Kaga leaves him and walks over to me. "Are you ok?" She checks me over, worried, as if I would be hurt for some reason.
"I'm fine… I… hey, your bleeding!"
I hold her hand as a thin trail of bright red blood flows down her finger, marring the pale skin. She holds it up for inspection and I notice a small red scratch on her hand, barely the size of a papercut.
She mutters a Sakura curse word before licking the tiny wound clean. "Idiot… Idiot… Idiot." She mutters to herself annoyed.
"Easy there, it's just a scratch, you did very well. Thank you truly." I take her by the shoulders to try and reassure her.
She flashes me a faint smile before returning to a sorrowful expression. "It was a drunken man with what I would barely describe as a weapon. To have even a scratch upon my person is foolish. It must have happened when I disarmed him, I was so focused on getting rid of the knife… because…"
She looks at me and blushes. "I was focused on protecting you."
I wrap my arms around her and take her in a comforting hug. "Well, there, see. You were distracted. No slight to your honour, no foolishness. You did fine. Consider me protected."
Her tails start *thumping* on the ground at the praise and she holds me tighter. "Very well… we should get back to the party, it has been far too long already."
We leave the thug groaning in pain on the floor and take each other's hand as we head out of the alley and head back towards the gala.
As we walk back into the main hall, I realise that we were gone for just over an hour, poor Akagi must be worried sick. The last time she saw me I was clearly distracted, and she had not seen me since.
As predicted, Akagi swiftly appears at our sides. "Dear Shikikan! Where have you been for so long? And my sister too?"
Before we can utter a reply a sensual smile descends on her expression and she lowers her voice. "Oh… Did you two step out for some private time? And why was I not invited?"
She stops and sniffs the air before moving closer and sniffing our bodies and starts muttering. "No… that's not right… My dear sister is in heat, but you do not smell of… wait…"
She stops as Kaga squeals in embarrassment as her face turns bright red at her sister's words. Akagi fixes her gaze onto her, focusing on her hand. The brunette fox grasps her sister's wrist, looking her hand over and finding the tiny cut. "I knew it! You reek of adrenaline and blood, Kaga. What is the meaning of this?"
We explain the events which had transpired in the last hour as Akagi listens intently. "I see…" She eyes Kaga's new choker before turning to me. "And pray tell, you do have two wives do you not? Where is my gift?"
Shit… I got so wrapped up in the moment I had completely forgotten to get Akagi anything…
Although I doubt I could have afforded to buy an equivalent gift to Kaga's as well. That fact however will not placate my wife.
"I'm… very sorry… I forgot… I'll get you something next time, ok?"
She narrows her eyes at me annoyed before giving a *hmph* and turning her head away, instead focusing on Kaga.
"You must be losing your edge, dear sister. To be cut by a simpleton wielding a knife… You were responsible for Shikikan's safety, displaying that sort of ineptitude is unfitting… to put our husband in such danger…" Akagi's sounds unusually angry at her sister.
Kaga bristles at the criticism, her tails puffing up in response. "He was never in any danger! I admit my performance may have been slightly lacklustre, but he is fine, do not worry so. Besides, Shikikan said I did a fine job."
Akagi glares at me. "Our husband can be a simpleton at times…" Oh man, I really was in hot water.
"…so I would not take his word for it… hmm… perhaps we should spar some more when we get back, sharpen those skills of yours, seeing as they are so lacking."
Kaga growls softly. "My skills are fine! If you want to spar, I'll show you how skilled I really am by crushing you into the ground! Like the weakling you are!"
Akagi laughs in response. "Oh please… you were just injured by a mere human… I would have to be careful; I might break you."
Both of my wives eye each other with anger and competitiveness. I decide I better intervene before it escalates any further. "Ladies… please. It's a lovely night, with lots of drink, and lots of fun to be had. Let us not ruin it ok." I take 2 glasses of champagne of a nearby waiter and offer them to the two foxes.
They begrudgingly accept and their expressions soften as they sip the alcohol. They mutter apologies to each other before I take them by their arms and start walking around the hall, greeting other guests.
Sometime later, we find ourselves conversing with Noshiro, who is wearing a lovely glittering blue dress along with some golden accessories. My wives are deep in conversation about upcoming Sakura Empire events with her, and I'm not really listening.
I feel the need to pee increase as I down yet another glass of wine. All the alcohol I had drunken thus far catching up with me. I excuse myself, my wives only giving me distracted nods as I exit the main hall, finding myself in such much smaller corridors, heading towards the bathrooms.
I exit the bathroom, having relived myself and start to head back to the main hall as I navigate the small hallways. As I do so, I feel a cold sensation run up my leg and I gasp at the feeling. Arms wrap around me from behind as the cold sensation travels higher up my leg and pressure starts to apply.
A brief looks down at my trouser leg shows a metallic tail running up my leg, underneath my clothing, ending by coiling around my thigh. The owner giggles lightly behind me as she holds me tightly in her hug.
"Oh Kommandant, what are you doing all on your lonesome..." The tail releases its grip on my leg and slides downwards, releasing me. Strong arms spin me round forcing to me face Roon.
Roon had been stationed at my port multiple times. The other commanders had quickly refused to command her, and in turn, she had deemed them unworthy. I was one of the only ones who had allowed her to be stationed at my port. Therefore, she tended to flit between my port and her home Ironblood port.
I tried not to hold her personality against her, in all honesty, at times, I felt sorry for her. It wasn't her fault she was like this, she was an experimental weapon, developed purely for one purpose, war. It was only natural for her to focus so much on it. The other commanders shirking her felt cruel, but I could understand, she was difficult to handle.
Because I was one of the only ones willing to give her a port to stay in, and actually sortie her, she had taken a liking to me. I hadn't seen her for some time though, she had been deployed to the frontlines of the Ironblood theatre.
Her expression is difficult to discern. A mixture of lust and excitement perhaps. "Enjoying this delightful party, my Kommandant?" Her metallic tail slinks back, coiling on the ground slowly around her feet.
"I am, yourself?"
"Well… it is a lovely evening, such wonderful guests everywhere, but it's all so boring…" She looks almost sad then releases me, her hands going down to her dark grey dress, caressing her curves.
"Do you like my dress Kommandant? I thought of you when I picked it…" She grins, then looks at me, expectantly, begging for praise.
I blush at her words but compliment her all the same. "It looks beautiful on you Roon. As do you."
This time, it's her turn to blush lightly and she lets out another giggle. "Oh Kommandant, you complete me, you really do. Do you mind if…?"
She lowers her head slightly, and I immediately realise what she's after. I smile and give her what she wants, gently ruffling her hair with my hand, patting softly. Last time she had been stationed at my port, she had taken a liking to this after sortieing, demanding it as a reward for destroying so many Sirens.
She coo's softly at the sensation, enjoying the headpats. After a few seconds, I begin to withdraw my hand, and a disappointed mewl slips out of her mouth, and I don't have the heart to stop, continuing for yet another minute.
Eventually, I must stop, pulling my hand away quickly. But, as I do, her tail whips out, far quicker than my eye can perceive as it wraps around my wrist, pulling my hand in front of her face painfully.
Her face contorts in confusion and anger, and her hand moves to caress my own and I realise what has caught her attention. My Oath ring.
"I thought I noticed something…What is the meaning of this?" She runs her fingers over the ring, her expression darkening by the second. "When did you get married!?" Her eyes turn to me full of fire.
I gulp, my heart pounding away in fear. "I…erm… 8 months ago."
"…It was that damn fox wasn't it? You were with her when I was last at your port? I thought that was just a fling, a phase…"
"It's both of them actually."
Her expression darkens further until her face takes on a crazed expression and she laughs. "Oh, Kommandant, truly, I'm happy for you. Congratulations!" She exclaims with complete insincerity.
A flash of pain hits the back of my head, and I realise that she has pushed me into the wall with her strength, holding my wrist with each arm, keeping me pinned. She presses herself closer to me, and her tail starts to slither up my body, until it delves under my shirt, the sharp point just scraping my chest.
"What wonderful news… And tell me, are you happily married?" She presses her face close to mine, her crazed eyes boring into mine.
"All that time I spent on the frontlines… wanting nothing more than to return to your command… to receive your hugs… your affections… Kill Sirens, not for some moron, but for you."
She moves her head to ear, whispering. "And you married, not just another women… but two." Her voice tinges with sadness rather than anger. "You were the only one… willing to give me a home… to give me affection… to let me kill to my heart's content…"
She moves her face round to mine again, our noses touching. "But don't worry… I'm DEEPLY happy for you." She giggles. "So happy… I cannot contain myself. You know… what's a marriage without an affair, yes? You can get a bit closer than this…"
She fully presses her body into mine, her large breasts mushing into my chest. I go to speak, but she clamps a hand over my mouth, keeping me pinned with just her one hand and body weight.
"Shhhh… it's fine… let me just partake of my Kommandnt… at least once… I'll punish you afterwards, rest assured."
"Commander! Roon!" I hear a voice shout in anger and surprise, and I breathe a sigh of relief. I had no idea what form a punishment from Roon would take, but it would have quite possibly been a bloody one.
However, my relief is short-lived as I realise who my saviour is. Enterprise.
My stomach ties itself in knots when I see her. No doubt she is still wondering why I left so abruptly earlier.
Roon suddenly releases me, snarling at Enterprise. "Grey Ghost…" She looks utterly furious, and I begin to wonder if the two are going to fight. Enterprise herself is worried and looks like she might summon her rigging any second.
Roon's stance softens as she mutters at Enterprise. "Consider yourself lucky. If we were to fight, the Kommandant would get hurt, that is the only reason I don't sink you, right here, right now."
She briskly strides away, not looking back.
Enterprise hurries up to me, checking me over. "Are you ok Commander?"
"I…I'm fine, thank you Enterprise. What are you doing back here?" I try to hide my nervousness upon seeing her.
"I… was looking for you… earlier you left…." Her face is downcast and my heart beats faster as a pit forms in my stomach. I'm all too aware that my back is still against the wall, with Enterprise right in front of me, nowhere to escape too.
She looks up, her purple eyes looking straight at me, and images of those same eyes, filled with golden fury, fill my head. Akagi's blood… Enterprise's arrow… I squirm, trying to rid myself of the grisly memories.
"You... were acting so odd… have you been avoiding me, Commander?" My heart plummets at her question. I go to answer but stop as she continues talking.
"Is…it because of what Archiver said?" Immediately, I'm confused. What Archiver said? I never told her about the vision of her and Akagi, so what she is talking about?
I notice that Enterprise has moved closer to me, our bodies almost touching, and my heart starts pounding. A bright red blush is working it's way up her neck as she moves even closer and she tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I know that you were probably wondering what she meant? Right? I… wanted to clear up that confusion."
My mind tries desperately to recall what Enterprise is talking about. Didn't Archiver mention something about Enty's thoughts? I stand there confused as Enterprise moves her face closer. I notice she is shaking slightly, which is unlike her. Her lips purse together as she leans forward, and my eyes widen as I guess at what's about to happen.
However, she stops just short, surprise evident on her face as she looks at my face. Suddenly she pulls away, a bright blush all over her face, the tips of her ears bright red as she exclaims. "I'm sorry… this was a mistake…" And she quickly spins around and practically runs down the corridor.
I'm left alone with my thoughts, incredibly confused. Was she about to kiss me? Why? Archiver had mentioned something to Enterprise, she had sifted through her mind, but I couldn't remember anything being mentioned… Did she… think of me as more than a friend? But… she had never said anything?
I sigh and slip down the wall onto the ground. Damn, this was a mess. I still felt sorry for Roon, she clearly felt betrayed, and while her actions were extreme, I couldn't bring myself to hate her for it.
Then there was Enty… Enterprise had been with me, through thick and thin. I treasured her, truly. She has always been my faithful, constant companion, even back when I considered her a mere weapon, she still stood by me. She means so much to me... But… I was married… and I also loved my wives, completely.
But the thought of Enterprise… The many times we had enjoyed one another's company… drunk together after countless victories... the way she tucked her hair behind her ear when she was embarrassed... her cute pink blush… her shining lips moving towards my own…
I shake the thoughts away… what was done was done. She said it was a mistake and she left. Nothing for me to do. Even if a part of me was not against the idea, Enty herself was obviously conflicted about it, and I'm sure my wives would not take kindly to the idea, so it was best to leave it as it was for now. Best not to rock the boat, so to speak.
Besides... everytime I saw her these days, it just brought those horrible images back... I had no idea if Archiver had deliberately done something to me, or if it was just my traumatized brain that was the source, but it a horrific experience. Now, more than ever, I needed to keep my distance from Enty, not get closer...
I get up slowly, my joints aching, and the back of neck still hurting slightly from being slammed into the wall. I rub it soothingly before continuing down the hallway, eventually entering the main hall. I return to where my wives were to find only Akagi present. "Husband, where in the world have you been?" She smiles as she greets me, but her eyes narrow as I draw close and she takes large sniffs with her nose.
"I see… you went to the bathroom… yet return with the scent of two females on you. First forgetting my gift, now this. Are you trying to infuriate me? Do you wish to be castrated!?" She berates me, her voice tinged with anger.
I hold my hands up in a pacifying manner. "I did go the bathroom, I simply bumped into Roon on the way out, we talked, then Enterprise also appeared." Technically, everything I had just said was the truth, so Akagi's stance quickly softens.
"Very well, apologies for accusing you so. But I have not forgiven you for my lack of a gift, you understand?" I nod, that was fair, having only got one of my wives a gift, rather than both, was a failure on my part as a husband.
Before long, Kaga appears with more drinks and we all down them quickly as we continue to socialize.
The rest of the night continues without incident. We talk with many different Kansen and people throughout, although not once do I notice Enterprise in the crowd. I dance with both my wives on the ballroom floor, following their lead, not being much of a dancer myself.
Eventually, we end up stumbling into our room and exhausted by the evening's events, I lie my back down on the bed. I feel hands run through my hair softly and I find Kaga staring at me, sat down on the edge of the bed adjacent to me. She flashes me a smile, and I flash her one in return.
"Right…" I hear Akagi's voice from across the room. "Dear Husband, you have two choices for your punishment..." That doesn't sound good, she must still be holding a grudge about this gift business.
"Option A is you can sleep on the sofa for a week when we return to port." I sit up and look at her as she eyes me with a playful grin.
I quickly reply. "Not a fan of option A, what about B?"
She turns around and rummages in the bag she brought, fishing something out before chucking it on my lap. "You put those on for the night, and I will forgive you for your sinful behaviour."
I look down at the object that Akagi wants me to wear and blush heavily, I wasn't even surprised that she had bought them, it was a very Akagi thing to do.
She clearly knew which option I would pick, so was merely playing with me. She probably wasn't even that annoyed anymore, just using it as a pretence.
I sigh theatrically before answering. "B… I choose B." Akagi giggles delighted.
"Put your hands behind your back. Dear sister, can you do the honours?"
I obediently tuck my arms behind my back as Kaga takes the handcuffs from my lap. "Sorry…" She whispers in my ear as she gently places my wrists in them and fastens them shut. Kaga stands and walks up to her sister as they both observe me. Akagi is flush with excitement, while Kaga is blushing brightly.
Akagi's eyes roam my body, before clasping her hands together and letting out a laugh. "Good choice, dear husband. While this is a punishment, I'm sure you'll at least enjoy it to some degree."
She licks her lips and starts lithely strutting towards me, a glint in her eye. Inside, I smile, I could think of far worse punishments.
