Hey Guys!

I know it's been a while, sorry. I haven't updated since August of 2021. I have been writing non-stop the past week during lunch at school! I'm really happy with how this story is going and I hope you guys are, too.

Freshman year has been great so far. I was in my first high school play (Alice in Wonderland). Currently, we are doing a musical called Bye Bye Birdie and we won't be done with that till March. The musical is very draining and I had an emotional breakdown during rehearsal today because our director (also my choir teacher) is a bitch. I feel like I'm the only one in the cast that everyone hates. Even the other freshman are being rude, too. It's very stressful so as long as this doesn't keep going on the entire time as it did in Alice in Wonderland, I will be writing more.

This is not as long of a chapter as I wanted it to be. But, I think where I ended it was okay and I really wanted to update for you guys!

GabrielleMaria- Hey! I'm so glad you like the story. I'm happy that having Charlie be more verbal about how worried he is was something you liked! I was trying really hard with that.

Zoe- Thank you so much! I needed to hear that right now! I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Whynotalicorn ll- I'm glad you like it and here's what happens next...

Anyway, I hope you guys like the chapter!

Enjoy!

For the next two hours, Edward and I cuddled on the couch watching a movie. This is so relaxing, I thought. The summer before he left was spent pretty much the same way. We would relax at his place or mine, watching movies, reading, and listening to music. But, on most nice days we would go to our meadow.

I couldn't wait to spend more time with Edward and his family. I really want to see Alice, she is my best friend even when she is being an annoying pixie. I giggled out loud while thinking about the pixie.

"What's so funny?" Edward asked from behind me. He was laying behind me with his arms wrapped protectively around me.

"I was just thinking about Alice and how much I miss her. She's my best friend and I haven't seen her in two months. I really wish I could see her."

Edward moved quickly to look at the front door. "I think you're about to get your wish," He said. I gave him a confused look as the door burst open. Behind the door revealed to be the pixie I was just talking about missing.

"Alice!" I yelled as I struggled to get out of Edward's arms. He eventually let me go and I ran over to my friends with open arms. I cried into her shoulder; I missed her so much. She rubbed my back soothingly while holding me tight.

"Bella, I've missed you so much. I hate that we had to leave but someone wanted to be a cry-baby." She said while sending a glare over my shoulder to Edward. I pulled away and went to stand over by Edward. I grabbed his hand in mine and turned to Alice.

"Alice, Edward and I, are working things out. It may take me a while to trust him again but I think we will be okay. He had his reasons, even though they were stupid reasons. He had them nonetheless," I explained. I looked up at Edward and he was giving me a weak smile. When I turned back to Alice, she was giving me a disapproving look but decided to drop the matter.

"How about we sit down and watch a movie?" Edward suggested. I nodded and the three of us sat down on the couch. We decided to watch Pride and Prejudice because it is my favorite movie. As the movie started, Edward wrapped his arms around me and Alice held my hand on the other side of the couch. We relaxed and just hung out. As I started to drift off to sleep, I realized I was safe in Edward's arms and couldn't be happier.

After what felt like a very short time, I woke up to Edward gently shaking me awake. I slowly opened my eyes to see Edward leaning over me smiling. I smiled up at him and pulled him down for a kiss.

Our kiss was innocent and it lasted just a couple of minutes. We heard a throat being cleared and saw Alice standing right next to us. How Edward didn't notice, I have no idea. Edward got up off me and helped me off the couch.

"Alice is going to help you get ready since Charlie is going to be home later. We don't want him coming home for some reason and seeing me," Edward advised. I nodded and leaned into him, hugging him. "Love, why are you crying?" I didn't even know I was crying.

"I don't know, I guess I just really missed you and am glad you are here with me," I told him through sniffles. Or I am scared you might leave me I thought.

"Bella, I'm happy to be here with you, also. And Bella, I promise I will never leave you again. But, I do have to leave now for a few minutes to change and so Alice can dress you up." Edward pulled me closer to him and I really didn't want him to leave. But, I know he is just going home to change and will be back as soon as I'm ready.

"Okay," I whispered into his chest. He kissed the top of my head and then rested his cheek on my head. We stood there for a moment before Alice broke the silence.

"Come on Bella, let go of Edward so we can have girl time!" She exclaimed. I pulled away from Edward and placed a soft kiss on his lips. He smiled at me and turned to walk to the door.

"When Edward got to the door, he stopped and turned around. "I love you," was the last thing he said before leaving with his sister.

I turned to Alice and she had a huge smile on her face. Oh no, I was going to once again become Bella Barbie. Without a word she grabbed my hand and yanked me up the stairs to my bedroom.

"Bella! What happened to all the clothes I bought you?!" Alice asked while looking through my closet. She turned to me expecting an answer but I just looked at my feet. She pulled me to sit on the bed and gave me a sympathetic look.

I shrugged, "I just didn't want reminders of you guys because you weren't coming back." Alice quickly pulled me in for a hug.

"Bella, I'm sorry we left you. I told Edward we shouldn't leave but I wasn't going to go against my brother's wishes," Alice said. I understand what Alice was saying, I really did. But, It doesn't discount the fact that they left. I know they had good intentions but I don't know if I'll be able to trust that they won't leave again.

Seeing any type of reminder of them made me break down. I would hear music with piano and it would make me think of Edward. I would see fashion magazines and think of Alice. Also, passing by an auto body shop made me think of Rosalie and Emmett.

I let out a quiet sob and pulled Alice tighter to me. "Please don't leave me again, Alice," I sobbed into her shoulder.

"I promise I won't, even if my stupid brother wants to. But, Bella, Edward isn't going to leave again. I saw how it affected him and how it affected you. He wouldn't do that to the both of you again." I nodded and pulled away from our hug. Knowing I didn't want to continue with this conversation, Alice changed the subject to what I was gonna wear tonight.

"I don't know what I'm gonna have you wear tonight," Alice said. I got up and walked over to my closet. I grabbed an old shoebox and placed it on my bed. I opened the box and pulled out the contents.

A deep blue dress is the one item I saved from knowing Edward and the Cullen's. It was my prom dress and the outfit I wore for what I thought would be the last time I danced with Edward Cullen.

I smiled and showed it to Alice who looked confused. Once she saw what it was she squealed in delight and told me to change while she went to get the only makeup I had out of the bathroom.

When I was done changing I called Alice into my room and she got to work on doing my makeup. She put a little foundation on me as well as a little bit of eyeshadow. She also put on some mascara and clear lip gloss.

After she was done with my makeup, Alice curled the ends of my hair a little bit, and then I was done.

I stood up and walked over to my floor-length mirror that is behind my door. I haven't looked that good since the last time I saw Alice. She really is amazing at what she does.

I turned to her and smiled. I heard the doorbell ring and knew it was my beautiful vampire.

Alice ran down the stairs at an inhuman speed and opened the door for Edward. I heard them talking as I slowly walked down the stairs in my silver stiletto heels that I also saved.

When I got to the bottom of the stairs, I watched Edward turn around and his mouth visibly drop open. I smiled, walked towards him, and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Close your mouth or you'll catch flies," I giggled. He closed his mouth and smiled down at me.

"I'm sorry, Love. I just haven't seen any creature as beautiful as you in two months." I blushed at that comment he always knows what to say. "There's that blush I've missed so much." He always knows what to say to make me feel like the most important part of his life.

"Okay, Edward. Stop making her blush because soon neither of us will be able to resist the smell," Alice said playfully. Edward growled at her and pulled me to him like he was going to bite me but kissed my neck instead.

I giggled at him while he peppered my neck with kisses. Alice said she was leaving and to have fun.

Edward pulled away from me and led me out to his silver Volvo. I couldn't wait to see where Edward was taking me and spend more quality time with him.
