The next morning when the sunshine's over their new house. Timon is currently sleeping with his stuffed warthog while Pumbaa is currently snoring with his stuffed meerkat. But then the both of the alarm clocks goes off. They woke up and turn off the clocks. They sit up and stretched themselves and got off the bed. They open their doors and greeted each other.
"Morning." said Timon and Pumbaa.
They slide down on the stair rail and ran to the kitchen. Timon picked out the cereal from the pantry while Pumbaa picked out the milk. They set both milk and cereal down at the table and went to get their bowl and spoons. They sat down next to each other. Timon pour the cereal first and then pour the milk. He passed it to Pumbaa and did the same thing. They quickly eat their breakfast until their bowl was empty.
"So you have a goodnight sleep?" asked Timon.
"Better than ever. How's your sleep?" asked Pumbaa.
"It was all alright. Man, this bed was sure comfy." replied Timon.
"So what do you wanna do today?" Pumbaa asked again.
"Alright, here's what we're gonna do." said Timon when he pulled out a notebook with a pencil and start writing down on the list. "Starting today, we're gonna do something fun since we moved here. Let's be mindful once we use the stones to turn ourselves into humans. So we cannot, I repeat, we cannot tell or reveal ourselves to anyone when we're both animals."
"But what about our friends who lives here?" asked the warthog.
"Don't worry, I'll explain everything. As long as we keep our secrets, our reputation will be safe." replied Timon.
"Whatever you say, Timon. How bad can it be?" said Pumbaa.
Then they heard a doorbell rang.
"Ooh, must be another package that I ordered. I'll get it!" Hollered Timon as he jumps off his seats.
He put on on his yellow bathrobe and reached his arm to unlock the door. He opens the door and it shows a police officer that has blonde wearing his outfit. The police man was looking down at the meerkat confused.
"Oh, good morning officer. How can I help you?" Timon greeted the police.
"Aren't you a little small to wear people's clothes?" asked the police.
Timon shrank his pupil eyes and looked down at his bathrobe and looked up at the police. He realizes that he forgot to wear his gemstone necklace in his room.
"Heh heh, sorry about that, well you see-"
"I know who you are." said the police cutting his line.
"You do?" asked Timon.
"That's right, my son used to watch your safety program when the two of you are the mascots."
Timon knew that not all people doesn't know who he is or does Pumbaa, but most people do remember when they used to watch their movie and tv show when they grow up.
"Oh, right. For moment, I thought you were gonna arrest me?" said Timon embarrassed.
"No, not really. In fact, there is something that you should know of." said the police when hold out the paper.
Timon take the paper and looked it when he read.
"Who's that?" said Timon curiously.
"Her name is Marcy, she's only five years old. It was confirmed that she left from the orphanage 3 hours ago. Ms. Padilla has already contacted us when she panicked. She's worrying about her." said the police.
Timon looked closely at the paper where it says from the top says "Have You Seen Me?" and the bottom says "Marcy Wu" with a picture of a girl. Nobody knew that the girl is missing. Timon started to get concern.
"When did this happen?" asked Timon.
"Like around 6:00 a.m." replied the police.
"Is there anything I can do?" Timon asked softly.
"I figured you say that. Whenever you find her, let her know. Have a good day sir." said the police when he went back to his car.
Timon stood silently when the police drove away. He close the door and went to the kitchen. Pumbaa is washing the dishes after he put away milk and cereal. He turned around and looked at Timon pulled out a stool to hang the paper on the fridge by using a magnet.
"Who's at the door?" asked Pumbaa.
"There's a police who's giving us detail about the girl." reply Timon.
Pumbaa looked at the paper with picture of the girl. He walked over to the fridge and look closely.
"Marcy Wu?" Pumbaa read.
"Yeah, she left the orphanage 3 hours ago. It was confirmed by the police when he give me this." said Timon.
Pumbaa give him a worry look. He felt bad at the girl.
"Is she gonna be okay?" said Pumbaa worrying.
"I supposed so." replied Timon quietly.
He doesn't know what to do next. Then he knows what he's going to do. He walked over to the table and picked up his note and a pencil to write down something on the list.
"Timon, what are you doing?" asked Pumbaa.
"I know what we're gonna do. While we go out for activity, we're gonna find the girl, and bring her back to the orphanage." said Timon.
"That was the plan?"
"Yes, yes it is."
Timon and Pumbaa already transform themselves into humans when they get dressed and pack their stuff in a duffle bag. They exit through the door and closed behind them. Timon locked the door and went to their car with Pumbaa. They went inside their car to take their seats. They put on their seatbelts. Pumbaa start the engine while Timon turned on the radio.
"Ready for this?" Timon asked his friend.
"Ready." Pumbaa replied.
He reverses the car backward to get on the road and drive forward to the city. Timon and Pumbaa were amazed at the sight of Los Angeles. They drove through the streets and looked around to see what else they got. Their first stop is when they went to community center where most people do their exercise. Timon took off his button up yellow shirt leaving him with white t-shirt. He went over to the punching bag as he started to punch.
"What are you doing?" asked Pumbaa.
"I thought I could give a little good punch." replied Timon when punched the bag.
"For what?"
"Oh, you know when there's trouble, all we gotta do is defend ourselves. Remember what I said? This city may be pretty, but it's too dangerous out here. In case we get robbed or mugged. If anything happens to that poor kid or anyone else that we care, I'm gonna (POW) whoop 'em up, (POW) beat 'em up, (POW) and kick 'em in a back." said Timon when he starts to get aggressively punching the bag if anything happens to anyone he cared. Pumbaa was dumbfounded.
"Wow, no kidding." said Pumbaa.
By noon, they went to stop by for lunch to get something to eat where they parked in front of a fast food restaurant called "Slushy Burger". They order two cheeseburgers and ate their food. After they ate their cheeseburgers, Pumbaa burped.
"Ooh, nice one Pumbaa" said Timon.
"Thanks." said Pumbaa.
Later on in the afternoon, they went to the next place where there's a park on the docking bay at the beach. They looked everywhere to find the girl, but still no sign of her. First they went on a Ferris Wheel to look for the girl when they sightseeing at the beach, then they went on a rollercoaster when Timon is cheering while Pumbaa is screaming. Later Pumbaa went to the kiosk where he bought two cotton candies and give one to Timon. They ate their cotton candy and move on to the next location.
1 hour later, they went to the park to look for the girl. Timon put on the helmet on his head and he put on rollerblades while Pumbaa put on a helmet and pulled out a skateboard. They've already park their car and start rolling around the park. Timon tried to concentrate for rollerblading while Pumbaa tried containing balance on his skateboard.
"Whoa, whoa, easy. Easy." said Timon when he's working on his balanced.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! How do you work this thing?!" exclaimed Pumbaa.
"Hang on, Pumbaa! I'm coming!" said Timon when he rolls closer to Pumbaa to grab him and holding on tight to Pumbaa's shirt, but still keep going fast.
"Timon, I can't stop!" shouted Pumbaa.
"Pumbaa, slow down!" shouted Timon.
"I'm trying!"
Timon moved in front of Pumbaa and leaning back against him to slow him down, but didn't stop him. Timon looked straight ahead when there's a ramp. His eyes went wide when spotted to two little girls riding their tricycle.
The first one that has light has light brown skin with messy auburn hair, wearing dark and light lavender striped shirt, dark blueish purple pants, and yellow sneakers. The second one that has blonde hair wrapped in a ponytail with a purple scrunchie, wearing dark blue jean jacket, pink shirt, dark pink skirt, long socks, and dressed shoes.
Timon realized that they were about to crash.
"WATCH OUT!" yelled Timon.
The girls stop and looked at that came from yelling. Pumbaa rolled on a ramp as they went flying over two girls holding out on to Timon on his arms screaming in slow motion. The girls looked awed as they jump over them and then it goes normal when they land and rolled away from the girls. They keep going fast until they reach to the playground.
They screamed together when Pumbaa fell off by crashing on the edge of the playground and he land on the bench. Timon fell on to his friend's arms. They blinked twice. And then they laugh.
"When did you ever learn to do skateboarding like that?" asked Timon amazed.
"I have no idea" said Pumbaa.
Few hours later, when Timon and Pumbaa got back into their car and drove around the city once more. Timon put a check mark on the list that he written all down, except for one. There is still no sign of the missing girl.
"Well that was fun. We checked everything on the list, except for one. There's still no sign of the girl." said Timon.
"At least we have some fun, huh?" said Pumbaa.
"Yeah, but it ain't pretty. So, anything else?" asked Timon.
"Let's go checked out here." said Pumbaa as they drove to a small town and parked their car.
They got out from their car and looked up at the thrift shop that are grimy and aged with lack of color.
"Uh, Pumbaa? Why are we here?" asked Timon.
"You wrote down an antique store on the list, remember?" reminded Pumbaa.
"Oh right." said Timon when they enter the thrift shop. They looked around and see what they have. He looked at his friend.
"Alright Pumbaa, find something that you like while I go look for something." Timon said to his best friend.
"Okay, I'll get something that is valuable." said Pumbaa went they split up.
Timon walked over by some shirts hanging and picked up one of the shirt that has crossing out ghost on it.
"That looks pretty spooky." Timon commented when he looked, but then there's something that got his attention and looked at the box that's sitting on top of the shelf.
He put down the shirt and walked over the shelf. He picked up the box and examined it that is ornamented with gold and three different gems that are blue, pink, and green. It depicts a frog in the tropical woods praising the gems behind an engraved sun design. It has a small key on its right side.
"Hmm, that's weird." muttered Timon.
He was looking for a price if it's expensive, but he couldn't find it. He looked at the old woman who is sitting at the checkout with front glass door with many stuff including a toy, super mushroom, game consoles, and two controllers. He walked over to the checkout and set the box down.
"Excuse me ma'am, but can you tell me how much is this box?" Timon asked curiously.
The old woman looked at the box and examined it.
"Buying something, dear?" asked the old lady kindly.
"Well, maybe if I really wanted to, but uh... where did this box come from anyway? Was it really valuable?" Timon ask if she knew where the box come from.
"Why that is a music box. It just showed up when I run this shop for years." said the old lady.
Before Timon reply, a little boy with light brown hair shows up looking at Timon.
"It's true. When the music box shows up, it's like an ancient relic from the mysterious force." said the boy.
"Really, can the box do all that?" asked Timon.
"No, not really." replied the boy.
Timon stood silence in about five seconds. "I'm gonna buy it."
"That'll be a hundred bucks." said the old lady.
Timon pulled out his wallet to hand over a hundred bucks to her when start paying. Timon put away his wallet in his back pocket while the old lady wrapped around the music box and handed over to him.
"Now be careful with that box. It's extremely fragile."
"Okay, I'll be careful with it." said Timon as he exits through the door.
"I hope he doesn't break it." The boy commented.
"Why don't you run along and play with your toys, dear." said the old lady.
"Yes grandma." The boy left the check to go play with some toys.
Pumbaa showed up and set down a painting that looks like a butterfly art with golden frame.
"Excuse me, I would like to buy an art that is really fancy." said Pumbaa.
"That'll be a hundred bucks." reply the old lady.
Meanwhile from the outside, Timon went inside their car and took his seat. He looked around to make sure when no one's around and looked at the clothe that's been wrapping around the box.
"What are you?" muttered Timon.
Then he heard the trunk open when Pumbaa put the painting in the back and close the trunk. Pumbaa entered and sat down on the drive to put on a seatbelt.
"What did you buy?" asked Timon.
"I bought a fancy art where it has butterfly on it." said Pumbaa.
"Oh, that's nice." Timon commented.
"Thanks. So what did you buy?" asked Pumbaa.
Timon looked at the box that's been wrapped up and looked up. Then he decided to wait until he show it to him when they get home.
"It's nothing. I'll tell you later." replied Timon.
"Okay, so what's for dinner anyway?" asked Pumbaa.
"Well I'm kinda little hungry. Let's go find something to eat."
"You got it" said Pumbaa when turn on the engine.
They drove away and head on to find something for dinner as they left the thrift store. The lights are about to turned on when it's getting dark all around downtown.
