Chapter 17: Bully Be Gone

The next morning on Friday, Marcy and her adoptive family are already awake having cereal for breakfast watching TV. Both of her father and her uncle had already reverted themselves back into human and put on some regular clothes like they used to wear.

Timon and Pumbaa are sitting on the couch eating cereal while Marcy is sitting on the floor with her cereal watching her favorite TV shows where it shows a puppet is eating lots of cookies. This made Marcy giggles.

"Cookie Monster is funny." said Marcy.

"Yep, he sure loves cookies." Timon agrees with Marcy.

"Hope he doesn't eat it too much." said Pumbaa.

"Why's that?" Marcy asked.

"Well, they were planning to have him eat healthy food-"

"Don't spoiled it." Timon cut off his friend's sentence.

All of sudden, they heard a doorbell. Timon got up from the couch and walked over to the door. He opens the door and it shows Anne holding her pillow carrying her backpack with her mother standing.

"Good morning." Mrs. Boonchuy greeted.

"Oh, good morning, ma'am." Timon greeted back. "What brings you here?"

"I was wondering if you can look after my daughter while my husband and I work today." replied Mrs. Boonchuy.

"Oh, of course. I'll be happy to help." said Timon as he approved.

"Thank you so much."

"You're welcome, ma'am."

Mrs. Boonchuy looked at Anne as she bends her knees.

"Now Anne, I want you on your best behavior. He's going to look after you while your father and I are at work. Do you understand?" said Mrs. Boonchuy reminded her daughter.

"Yes mom, I'll behave." replied Anne.

"That's my girl." Mrs. Boonchuy gave her daughter a kiss on her forehead. "I love you, sweetie."

"Love you too, mom. Bye!"

Anne ran inside the house passed by Timon and went to the living room looking at Marcy watching TV with Pumbaa.

"Hey Mar-Mar!"

Marcy looked at Anne smiling.

"Anne!" said Marcy got up and hugged her best friend.

"What are you doing here?" Marcy asked smiling.

"My mom drops me off here so that your dad is looking after me while my parents went to work." replied Anne.

"Yay! Now we can do playtime!"

"Or we can go to the playground where we used to hangout."

"Oh, you have to ask your dad first." said Pumbaa.

"Ask me what?" Timon asked when entered the room.

"Uh, she has something to tell you."

"Daddy, is it alright that we can go to the playground? Anne and I used to go there where we met Sasha." said Marcy kindly.

"Of course, you can, but we're keeping an eye on you two in case there's any trouble." said Timon.

"Okay daddy."

"Is it alright if I put my backpack in your room?" Anne asked kindly.

"Of course." replied Marcy.

"Thank you."

Anne went upstairs to put her backpack in Marcy's room. Timon picked up Marcy's empty bowel and went to the kitchen to wash off the bowels. Anne came down quickly just in time.

"Wow. That was fast." Marcy impressed.

"Yep, I'm always prepared." said Anne.

"So, you girls ready?" Pumbaa asked.

"Ready." replied Marcy.

"Alright, let's move out"

They exited through the door while Timon followed behind as he closed the door and walk straight to the car as they got in. Pumbaa turned on the engine as he pulled out and drove away from the house.

It won't be long until they made it to the playground. They got out from the car when both Anne and Marcy ran straight to the playground leaving Timon and Pumbaa behind.

"Hey, wait up!" Timon called.

"Don't worry, Timon. I know that Marcy is excited to go play at the playground with her friends." said Pumbaa.

"Yeah, but what if those bullies came back?"

"We'll keep an eye out. Just to be sure."

Suddenly, they heard a cat meowing. They looked up at the tree where a stray black cat was hanging. Timon walked over to the tree to get the cat down.

"Timon, what are you doing?" Pumbaa asked suspicion.

"Taking the cat down from the tree." Timon answered.

"Don't you remember the last time that you rescued the cat?"

"As a meerkat? Yes. But as a human? No. Besides, I'm tall enough to reach the top."

"Okay, if you say so."

Timon climbed up to the tree to get the cat where it licked its paws. Timon remembers what happened the last time when he rescued the cat, but it didn't work out so well for a meerkat. As a man, he hopes the cat won't scratch his face.

"Here kitty, kitty, kitty. Nice kitty, kitty, kitty."

The cat stop licking and looked at Timon. The cat jumped over him as it climbed down and landed on the ground and walked away leaving Timon dumbfounded.

"Are you kidding me?"

Suddenly, he felt that the tree branch was about to break and he fall off to the bush. Pumbaa walked over to his friend and shook his head when saying "tsk" five times.

"I told you to be careful." said Pumbaa.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know." said Timon got up while wiping his arms.

But then, he looked down to the floor and saw a beetle crawling. Timon moved his head around to make sure there aren't any people around. He carefully lifts the rock from the bottom and his eyes goes wide.

"Pumbaa! Look!"

Pumbaa looked over the shoulders and sees that they're some bugs crawling. He looked at his friend when concerned about it.

"Uh, are you sure you going to eat that?" Pumbaa asked.

"Pumbaa, we haven't been eating bugs for a week." replied Timon.

"You mean a half of week?"

"Right, but if we can revert ourselves into animals, then we don't have to worry about any people around here."

"But what about Marcy and Anne?"

"Don't worry, we won't be long."

Timon polish his necklace and then he was reverted back into a meerkat. Pumbaa sighed as he did the same thing and reverted back into warthog. Timon pop his head out from the bush to make sure no one was around and then he popped himself back into the bush.

Pumbaa use his tusk to lift the rock so that Timon picked up some bugs and put them on the leaf. Pumbaa release the rock as it drops and sniffs at his favorite meal.

"Ah, love bugs." said Pumbaa.

"Not like…."

"Love."

Then they both eat the bugs together. They surely do miss eating grubs since they left Africa and move on to their new life. As long as their secret is safe with Marcy. Once they're done eating, they swallowed it and burped.

"Ah, I missed the taste of bugs." Timon sighed.

"Me too." Pumbaa agrees.

While they didn't notice, Sasha has arrived as she walked passed by the bush and then she has arrived at the playground where Anne and Marcy are sliding down the slides.

"Hey, girls!" Sasha called.

Both Anne and Marcy looked at their friend smiling.

"Hi, Sasha!" Marcy greeted.

"You made it." said Anne.

"Yep. I'm here." said Sasha. "How's your weekend?"

"It was good. My parents took me to Thai Community so that I speak Thai." replied Anne.

"Cool. So how about you, Marcy. How's your dad and your uncle?"

"I had so much fun. We went to museum, went to zoo, went to the carnival, and went to the beach." replied Marcy.

"Wow! Your dad and your uncle sure take you a lot of places." said Sasha impressed.

"Uh huh. I told them that I like to study things about animals and the history."

"So, what do you want to do first?" Anne asked.

"Let's do swinging!" Marcy suggested.

"Yeah!"

Anne and Marcy went to the swing and start swinging themselves. Sasha walk over there and gently pushed Anne for swinging.

"Higher, Sasha." said Anne.

"Okay, Anne." Sasha giggled.

"Push me higher, Sasha." said Marcy cheerfully.

"Alright, hold on." Sasha pushed Marcy as she goes higher.

Sasha ran over in front of her friends and smiling as they swing up higher.

"Look at me! I'm a butterfly!" Marcy giggled.

"I'm an eagle soaring over California!" said Anne.

By then when they swing up higher, but then the girls felt they just fall off yelling from the swings and fell to ground. Sasha was shocked.

"ANNE! MARCY!"

And then Sasha heard some harsh laugh. She turned her head around and looked at those two mean girls that are older.

One that has raven hair wearing her light blue and grey stripe shirt, dark blue jeans with ripped open on her knees, and brown boots and the girls has ginger hair with pigtails tied by red ribbons, wearing her dark red jacket, green shirt with a star, short pants, socks, and a dress shoe.

Anne and Marcy got up and turned around as they recognized those two, but Sasha grew anger towards those mean girls. Anne and Marcy remember when they've been picked on again as the mean girls sits on the swing.

"Well, well, if isn't the "Powerpuff Girls". mocked The raven haired girl.

"More like the "pouty face girls". The ginger haired girl added.

"You again!" exclaimed Sasha sternly.

"That's right. We got bored. So it's ours now."

"Go play somewhere else you little babies." said The raven haired girl.

"We're not babies! I told you to leave us alone!" Sasha snapped.

"Aw, what are you going to do about it? Throw a punch at me?" mocked The ginger haired girl.

"Oh yeah! Watch me!"

"Go get her, Sash!" said Anne cheering on her friend.

Sasha charge towards those mean girls raising her fist when she jumped to kick, but they dodged her attack. Sasha turns around and charge again, but missed again and fell to the sandbox. The mean girls laugh harshly.

"Oh my gosh! That is so pathetic!" mocked The ginger haired girl.

"Yeah! Literally!" laughed The raven haired girl.

Sasha got up and turned around. She gives them a hard glare at the mean girls. Sasha hates being picked on. She hates bullies so much when they picked on her friends.

"Sasha? Are you okay?" Marcy asked worrying.

"I'm fine, but it's not over yet." replied Sasha.

"Hey, I know. How about a little kick!" The raven-haired girl swing herself and she kicked Sasha as she fell to the sandbox on her back. Anne and Marcy were horrified.

"SASHA!"

Cut to Timon and Pumbaa's napping, they jolted up when they heard some yells.

"What was that?" Timon asked.

"Sounds like trouble." replied Pumbaa.

They got up and took a peek through the bush. They were shocked to see that Marcy and her friends were being picked on by those mean girls as they laughed at the five-year-old girls. Timon's eyes widened horrified when looking at Sasha injured. Anne and Marcy rushed over to Sasha to get her back up gently.

"Sasha! Are you okay?" worried Anne.

"I'm fine, girls. I'm fine." Sasha hissed felt her pain in her chest.

"That's right! Don't be a hero kid! This what to happens when you babies are in our turf." said The raven haired girl harshly.

"That's not nice! I'm telling on you!" said Marcy when she gets mad.

"Who? Your parents?" teased The ginger haired girl.

"My daddy and my uncle are here and you'll gonna be sorry when they hear this!"

Timon and Pumbaa felt touched when she's going to tell them on those mean girls. Anne nodded as she agrees with Marcy. The mean girls took a glanced at each other and then they laughed. The little girls were confused at first.

"Really?! You're gonna tell your dad and your uncle?" laughed The ginger haired girl. "What are they? Dating are something?"

"They're not dating! They adopted me!" Marcy snapped.

"Oh please, that's what all kids say. I don't see your parents. You're just nothing but a sweet puny little-OW!"

Marcy gasped. She turned around and looked Anne who's throwing a small rock at the ginger haired girl. Sasha was shocked. The raven-haired girl looked shocked as her friend was injured on her forehead. The ginger haired girl looked at Anne angry.

"Knock it off! Or I'll use my Muay Thai on you!" said Anne threatening towards those bullies.

The mean girls sat up from the swings as they got mad. Marcy started to get nervously panicked taking a step back. Anne and Sasha stand their position as the bullies walk closer. Timon and Pumbaa doesn't like the part where it happens.

"You are so dead, bush girl!"

Without a warning, the ginger haired girl picked Anne up with a grip of her shirt as she struggles by kicking. Marcy and Sasha were horrified.

"LET ME GO! YOU JERK!" Anne yells.

"Yeah! Leave Anne alone!" Sasha yells.

"Stay out of this, pony girl!" The raven-haired girl snapped.

She roughly pushed Sasha to the sandbox. Marcy felt her heartbeat when her friends are in trouble. She started to get panicked, but she can't sit here and watch them bullied by some mean girls. Marcy gives them a glare when she's mad.

"PUT MY FRIEND DOWN, YOU MOOK!" shouted Marcy.

They all gasps. Timon and Pumbaa raised their eyebrows. He couldn't believe that his adopted daughter just called those bullies a "mook". The exact same word what he just said all the time. Anne and Sasha were surprisingly shocked at their friend. Even the bullies were shocked.

"What did you call me?!" said The raven haired girl gritted her teeth.

"You heard me! Let my friend go! Or I'm telling my dad!" Marcy threatens one of the mean girls.

"You know what? I've just had enough of you, twerp! You'll never be adopted because you're an orphan and that's all you ever be!" She snapped.

Before Marcy said anything, the mean girl roughly pushed a little girl as she trips and falls to the mud out of nowhere. The ginger haired girl tossed Anne to the mud next to Marcy as well.

Timon and Pumbaa were shockingly horrified that their kid was tossed into the mud with her friend. They can't sit there and watched them getting picked by some bullies like last time. Not today.

"HEY!" Timon shouted.

"LEAVE THEM ALONE!" Pumbaa shouted too.

The mean girls look up where the yelling comes from. Then all of sudden, both Timon and Pumbaa burst out from the bush charging towards those bullies as they yell angry. The mean girls started to scream as they ran off leaving the girls.

Timon is riding on Pumbaa as his friend ran past by the girls. Sasha was the only one who has witnessed everything. The mean girls jumped over the fences and got on their bikes before Pumbaa break through the fence. The girls paddle away with their bikes screaming.

"AND STAY OUT!" Pumbaa shouted.

"YEAH! RUN AWAY YOU LITTLE BRATS! BEFORE I TOSSED YOU INTO A MUD!" Timon shouted as he jumped off Pumbaa.

They took their deep breath as they started to calm down from all the anger. They looked back at the playground where Anne is standing up helping Marcy to stand up.

They dropped their anger into worrying as they rushed towards Marcy. Once they approached her, Timon wiped off some mud out of her clothes. Pumbaa looked over at his niece if she's injured.

"Are you alright, sweetie? Are you hurt." said Pumbaa desperately.

"No, I'm fine." replied Marcy softly.

"Good, let's get you cleaned up before-" Timon paused his sentence.

They looked at both Anne and Sasha that were shocked and awe. All three of them started to realize that their cover was blown. Timon and Pumbaa forgot to reverse themselves back into humans, but they were focusing on driving those bullies away from the girls. They started to get nervous at each girl.

"Uh oh." said Pumbaa lowered his voice.

"AAAAHHHH! STAY BACK!" Sasha screamed defensively pulling Anne back.

"Sasha, it's not what it looks like." said Marcy defensively to her friends.

"Marcy! Get away from that…. that pig!"

"Whoa! Did they talk?" amazed Anne.

"Anne! They're wild animals!" said Sasha scared of them.

"Girls, wait! They're not wild animals!" said Marcy defending her adoptive father and her uncle.

"Then what are they?!"

Marcy took a glance back at them worrying if she's going to tell her friends the truth. Timon and Pumbaa were looking at her sadly. There's no point of making up a story. Marcy turned her heads at her friends.

"They're my family."

Both Anne and Sasha blinked their eyes with confusion.

"What?" They said altogether.

"It's true. My daddy is a meerkat and my uncle is a warthog. They disguised themselves as humans. They found me when I ran away from the orphanage and took me back until I was adopted. They look after me and treated me like a family." Marcy explained everything.

"You were raised by a meerkat and a warthog?" Anne asked confused.

"Uh-huh." Marcy nodded.

"Why didn't you tell us in the first place?" Sasha asked, but with unease about those two.

"They told me to keep it a secret because I don't want you to get scared. Please don't tell anyone." replied Marcy softly.

Timon and Pumbaa noticed her look and started to comfort her by hugging her. They don't want to see her cry. They knew she loved them very much.

Anne and Sasha realize that her adoptive family means everything to her. Sasha was originally freaked out at first, but she was calming herself down. As for Anne, she was shock and awe about their appearance.

She knew them well when Timon did stood up against the bully. They did visit to her parents' restaurant and she came to visit her friend's house. Anne and Sasha felt bad about Marcy since she did tell them the truth. They took a glanced for a second and then they smiled.

"Don't Marcy, your secret is safe with us." said Anne.

"Really?" Marcy asked when looking at her friends.

"Yeah, it's kinda cool that your dad and your uncle are both animals. It's like "The Jungle Book" or "Tarzan"." Then Anne looked at Sasha. "Right Sasha?"

"Right. I'm sorry I freaked out." Sasha apologizes.

"It's okay. I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you sooner." Marcy apologizes.

"It's alright, Mar-Mar. We forgive you." said Anne.

"Thanks guys."

Marcy gave her a hug to her friends. Then they looked at Timon and Pumbaa smiling.

"Sorry we scared you, kid." Timon apologized.

"It's okay." replied Sasha. "Thanks for saving us."

"No problem."

"So, first and small question. Do you two turn yourself into humans? Do you do magic?" Anne curiously asked.

"As a matter of fact, yes." Pumbaa answered. "Now, watch this."

Timon and Pumbaa polish their necklace as it started to glow around them and transformed themselves into humans. Once the brightness lowered down, both Anne and Sasha were amazed at the show with eyes sparkles.

"Whoa!"

"Well, what do you think?"

"That was awesome!" said Anne astonished.

"How'd you do that?!" Sasha eagerly asked.

"Glad you ask, kid. What you see is when we are wearing our necklace that has gemstones that we found it at the temple. It can turn humans into animals and animals turn themselves into humans." Timon answered.

"You two promised to keep our secrets. Okay?" said Pumbaa.

"We promised." replied Anne.

"My lips are sealed." Sasha added.

"That's the spirit. Now let's get you all washed up before lunch." said Pumbaa.

"Thanks, Marcy's uncle, but I have my tricycle to get back home. Is it alright if I could come over for the night like sleepover?" Sasha kindly asked.

"Well, if it's up to your parents as long as you ask their permission." replied Pumbaa.

"Thanks mister, see y'all later."

"Wait. You're coming over tonight?" Marcy gasp.

"Yeah, I have to ask my parents' permission first if that's alright with you."

"(gasp) You really mean it?!" Marcy asked gleefully.

"Can I come over too?" Anne asked eagerly.

"Okay, okay. We'll have to wait and see if we can rearrange something important." replied Timon.

"Okay, I'll see you girls later." said Sasha when she ran over to her tricycle and paddle away waving at her friends. "Bye girls!"

"Bye, Sasha!" said Anne and Marcy waving at Sasha.

Once she left, Timon and Pumbaa escorted the girls out from the playground and walk straight to the car. They got inside as soon as Pumbaa start the engine and drove away back home.

Timon looked back at Anne and Marcy sitting in the back that was covered in a little bit of mud. He'll have to vacuum his car seats, but right now he has to wash them off first when they get home.

"So, you two okay back there?" Timon asked kindly.

"Mmm hmm." Anne and Marcy nodded.

"Okay, what do you girls want for lunch?"

"Can we have Slushy Burger?" Marcy asked.

"Sure, we'll feed you." replied Timon "And Marcy, what Pumbaa and I saw back there, I am so proud of you for standing up against these bullies."

"Thanks dad." Marcy thanked her father.

"You're welcome."

They drove throughout the city as they passed by board. Nobody noticed when there were two persons wearing a trench coat walk closer to the board with lots of papers. The man looked at the newspaper says "Two Local Men has found the Missing Girl!" as the man picked up the newspaper and looked at it.

"Hey, is that the kid that's been missing?"

"Yeah, contact the boss. I think we found Wu's daughter."

Uh oh! Sounds like trouble! Who were those guys? Let's find out in the future. Stay tune for the next chapter!
