3rd POV
The sound of sobbing and whimpering could be heard near one chamber in the 2nd level of Heaven. The depressing atmosphere could be felt all through the dormitories in this floor of Heaven. Just when Gabriel had almost came through her depression, she suddenly seemed to have been plunged back into it.
Nobody knew what exactly caused it, but many could harbor a guess that it was the rebellion that occurred many days ago.
Yet, her cries only seemed to increase day by day.
Rather than the actual rebellion being the main cause of her sorrow, it was actually what she saw during the conflict that turned her into the crying mess that she was now. Many had come to soothe her sorrow, including Michael, Kokabiel, etc. all of which with little to no results. Their Father had locked himself in the main laboratory in 6th Heaven as soon as he arrived, barely sparing time and attention to the chaos. The absence of Raphael did little to calm the situation for the other Angels, less so for Michael who had to bear the burden of mentioning it to Gabriel whenever she is ready to hear it.
On the bed of Gabriel's chamber lies Gabriel herself. Curled up in her blankets that were stained with her tears, she only shuddered and cried louder when she remembered what she saw.
Flashback
On the day of the rebellion of the Grigori, she had followed in the direction of Azazel and (Y/n). Of course she couldn't keep up with them, she would never run no matter how much she wanted to. So it was only natural that with the pace that she was going, she arrived at the scene in 1st Heaven right at the conclusion of the conflict.
Out of sight and scared, she walked through the chaos that used to be 1st Heaven. Silent tears would occasionally fall down her cheeks, she couldn't understand what was happening. Why was everyone fighting? What happened here? Was Azazel the cause of all this?
These questions couldn't be answered by her alone, and so as she walked towards the direction that she thought to be where the Heavenly Gates were at, the questions continued to brew.
She saw her brothers and sisters, fallen and non-fallen, fighting amongst each other. The occasional spear would fly over-head and into the body of an unsuspecting angel. They would give out a pained scream and fall limp to the ground.
She walked through the rubble of debris. She walked through crevices and new tight alleyways created by the destruction. She didn't know why, but she felt she didn't have the power and courage to fly. She knew that if she suddenly viewed everything around her, something within her would snap.
Spotting and hearing the wails of a person nearby, she walked towards them.
On the ground leaning against the last standing wall that used to be a home, was a Fallen Angel. Their leg crushed by one of the collapsed walls, a spear of light was sticking out of their left shoulder as their right arm was missing. Their face was scrunched up in pain as they cried. Their blonde shoulder-length hair barely hid her face and tears.
She knew her. Of course she did, Gabriel knew every Angel and used-to-be Angel from Heaven. Raphael and Raziel were the Seraphs that dealt with conflicts outside of Heaven while Michael and Gabriel were the Seraphs that managed the inner workings of Heaven and their personnel.
Instinctively, Gabriel had ran to her to help.
Gabriel: "LAILAH!"
The fallen Angel, Lailah, turned her head after being called. Their tears had yet to stop, but their face seemed to turn even paler than it was getting. Gabriel didn't know if it was due to the blood loss from her missing right arm or from shock.
Lailah: "Lady Gabriel! What are you doing here?!"
Lailah's voice was pained and carried a great amount of concern. Gabriel quickly knelt by her side, staining her white pure dress red with the blood that pooled near Lailah.
Gabriel: "What is happening Lailah?! I don't understand, why is this happening?!"
Gabriel asked as she lifted the debris off Lailah's bottom torso, revealing the battered legs. Lailah screamed as the debris was finally off her, the once numb legs of her body were in pain.
Gabriel: "Sorry! Please let me help you!"
Gabriel held her hands out just above Lailah's legs. Conjuring her holy power into her palms, Gabriel tried to heal the damage not noticing how her wings had started to turn grey. Lailah, however, did even though her eyes were covered in tears, she could still see the abrupt changes.
Lailah: "STOP LADY GABRIEL!"
Lailah moved her barely manageable left arm and pushed her palms away. As soon as Gabriel's palms were out of reach, her wings had returned to their normal holy white.
Gabriel: "Why?! I am just trying to help you Lailah! You are in so much pain, please let me help!"
Lailah shook her head at her.
Lailah: "Do you not remember the teachings of Father? *cough cough*"
Blood was coughed up and dripped from the corners of her mouth to her chin.
Lailah: "Those in the service of God can not affiliate themselves with those who abandoned Him."
This was a rule that God had never bothered to explain, the reason being that it was "natural" to assume that those who wished to help those who were against Heaven, were considered against Heaven themselves. Whether they be Devils under Lucifer or rouge fallen angels, the servants of God were expected to never give aid to those that went against their Lord. But because it was "natural", Gabriel who was considered the most purest and naive of Angels, couldn't fathom why she couldn't heal her dying sister.
Gabriel: "But were you not in the service of God? Are you not a fellow sister here in Heaven? I don't understand, Lailah just let me heal you."
She had her head hung down and was crying, she could barely take her eyes off Lailah's broken legs.
Lailah: "Lady Gabriel, you mustn't sin. Helping a Fallen...is no different than helping...a Devil..."
Gabriel: "How can it be a sin to heal you when you are hurt?!"
Lailah: "...return to your chambers Lady Gabriel...this is not a place for you to be..."
Gabriel: "I will not leave you! I will fix this, just please wait for me! I'll find Father, surely we can fix this!"
Gabriel quickly stood up and was about to leave when suddenly a hand grabbed onto her wrist.
Lailah: "DON'T!...PLEASE DON'T!"
Gabriel turned her head back to the person holding her wrist. Her eyes met Lailah's, and she froze. The amount of fear in Lailah's eyes froze her and she couldn't find why she was afraid.
Gabriel: "Father can fix this Lailah, surely he'll be able to stop all of this. I just have to beg him like I always do."
And with that she pulled away Lailah's weak grip and ran towards the holy presence of her Father.
Lailah had her arm reaching out in its same position. Her mind not registering what her Older Sister had just said.
Once she did come back to her senses, she struggled to move after Gabriel.
Lailah: "LADY *cough cough* GABRIEL!...COME BACK, PLEAAAASEEE!"
Fear laced her actions and voice. She wasn't scared of her Father, she would die fighting for what she believed in. What she was scared of was what was happening at the moment. She was dying for what she believed in... alone.
She didn't mean it when she told Gabriel to head back to her quarters, she only said that in hopes of keeping her with her. Of course she wouldn't allow Gabriel to join her in being a Fallen, but she wanted to be in the presence of Gabriel's soothing presence. It's what prevented her from crying harder than she was currently.
Leaning forward, Lailah finally dislodged herself from the light spear that impaled her to the wall.
Not minding the amount of blood and tissue that dropped, Lailah used her numbed left hand to slowly drag herself to the direction that Gabriel ran in.
Slowly and painfully she dragged herself across the ground. The debris and occasional material would dig itself into her skin and gaped shoulder.
Lailah: "Don't leave me! Gabriel! Pleassseee!"
The tears that were stopped by Gabriel's presence and voice came back full force. Her screams were mixed with the occasional gag from blood.
Lailah: "I'M SCARED!...GABRIEL I'M SCARED!...I DON'T WANNA DIE ALONE PLEEEAAASSEE!"
Her vision was darkening around the edges. Her consciousness was waning in and out of existence. Death was slowly taking her.
Lailah: "...Gab...bri...el..."
Lailah's eyes died out as they stared to the running figure of Gabriel, who had not once turned around.
Lailah's crawl had only made it a few feet from her original position, and it was a miracle she lived as long as she did. Because if Gabriel or Lailah were to turn around now, they would see that only her upper torso had managed to follow with her, her battered legs patiently waited by the wall as her intestines trailed to her upper body.
—
Gabriel ran and ran and ran. She continued to run in search of her Father, who could surely fix this.
Because she was too busy focused on finding her Father, she had unfortunately blocked out the desperate cries of Lailah.
The sudden shaking of the floor caused her to trip and fall to the ground.
Luckily she didn't fall onto debris and was able to get back up without any trouble. As she got up, her attention was suddenly brought to the second shaking of the ground, this time she saw a flash of light hit into the ceiling of the 1st Heaven. She quickly noticed it being the direction of both her Father and the Gates of Heaven and immediately began her journey.
After a while of running she finally came upon a scene that froze her place.
Gabriel: "FATH—"
There on the ground were multiple wings of silver feathers. Chains from portals that surrounded the flying figure in the air were all she could see. The figure's silver hair reached down to their backside and their head was hung low. She knew the person as Luci#2, or (Y/n) as Azazel had told her, even if she could only see his back. Beside him was her Father wielding a blade made of his Holy energy raised high into the sky.
She was frozen, she didn't know what to think or do. The Father that she knew would never do something like this. He was a kind Father and loved all of his children dearly. He would never kill his own no matter what they did, Lucifer was a prime example. So what was he doing now?
Staring in shock, Gabriel simply watched the scene unfold.
God, in a quick motion, brought down his blade and all was silent. The golden crescent after-image of the blade fizzled out of existence and soon (Y/n)'s body seemed to relax and go limp. His head swayed a bit and before Gabriel knew it, in front of her eyes (Y/n)'s head tilted forward and fell.
Time seemed to slow as (Y/n)'s head slowly fell down, his violet eyes gazed and made eye contact with her as it fell to the floor. She barely registered the sound of the Gates closing and only flinched when the sound of the chains rattled and (Y/n)'s body fell, breaking the eye contact between them.
She heard the faint yell of Azazel in the distance.
"GOD...DAMN...YOU!"
Her mind halted. She couldn't process what she heard and simply hitched her breathe.
After a few seconds, she slowly turned her head towards her Father who seemed to be analyzing (Y/n)'s body with his hand to his chin.
Soon something within her seemed to have snapped.
Gabriel's breathing starting to come back, but this time it's pacing increased by the second. Her breathing became haggard and soon she started to loudly gasp for breathe as her eyes dilated.
She was hyperventilating and she didn't know why. She couldn't breathe right, no matter how much she took in, she felt as if it wasn't enough. She needed space. She didn't want Father's help anymore. She doesn't want to see Father anymore. She should've stayed in her chamber.
With that in mind she ran back, quickly forgetting why she came there and more so forgetting about Lailah.
She ran and ran and ran.
The scene playing in her head and (Y/n)'s gaze would bore into her head whenever she closed her eyes.
Only when she reached her chamber did she jump into her bed, not minding the bloodstains and dirt, did she finally wailed out.
Flashback End
Gabriel flinched whenever she closed her eyes, those lifeless eyes staring back at her in the darkness caused her to whimper and stay awake. The dark bags under her eyes showed that she had barely slept in the days after the rebellion. And she certainly wasn't planning on starting anytime soon.

3rd POV
Many Years Later
In a room that contained a long rectangle table with a total of 16 chairs, only the 2 at each end of it were occupied. The sun shone through the wall made of windows, making it so they could see each other clearly. Both seemingly stared at each other in silence.
On one end was an individual who was voted by the Grigori to lead them, Governor General Azazel. On the other end was an individual with sharp pale blue eyes, long faded black hair with grey tips that would have reached their hips if they stood, and a charming devilish smile that could captivate any mortal man and woman.
This man was Lucifer Morningstar, the first Angel of the Biblical God and the first to rebel against him. The Devil of Hell simply kept his smile as he stirred the cup of wine on his hand. Azazel on the other hand held a flat look, the cup of wine near his seating area had barely been touched.
Finally breaking the staring contest, Azazel eyed the 3 other individuals behind Lucifer. Lucifer following his gaze turned to look over his shoulder at his 3 companions.
Lucifer: "Ah! You must be wondering who these charming young men must be~"
Lucifer's voice was as soothing as Gabriel's, or it was probably likely that Gabriel's voice was soothing as his. Azazel fought the urge to lower his guard, that voice was laced with hidden ill intent, even if it were for a moment.
Lucifer, uncaring of situation Azazel was in, simply carried on and put down his drink in favor of raising his right arm to present his companions.
Lucifer: "This is my dear friend Beelzebub~ Met him down in Hell after a while of wondering, and let me tell you he was NOT in presentable condition as he is now~"
The man, Beelzebub, was chubby but not too fat to be considered snobbish. He had greenish short hair that was groomed, a suit that was a color similar to his hair but outlined with a hint of maroon. A monocle was placed over his only good eye, while the other was left for all to see. His eye socket was empty and it seemed as if the void itself was present in the gap. His arms were crossed behind his back, hiding his disfigured arms and hands. Fortunately he wore black gloves to cover his insecurity of being seen as "unpresentable" or "hideous".
Flashback
Lucifer had found him dying in a crater. The Lord of the Flies was on Death's door, and being in Hell already meant that it wasn't that far. Lucifer, being the newly made Devil, offered a deal to the dying demon.
"Serve me for eternity, and I'll grant you what you desire the most."
Not one to miss an opportunity, Beelzebub took the offer. Lucifer with his newly discovered Devil powers healed the Demon, but not before applying a demonic contract between the 2. Only when the contract was finished and he healed him as much as he could did he tell him the "unsettling" news.
"Your desire to live has been granted, I'm looking forward to you doing your end of the deal~"
Instead of anger and hate that he had expected, Lucifer received a hearty laughing fit from Beelzebub. Puzzled and unsure of what was happening Lucifer simply waited fo the Demon to be done.
"Hahahaha, my goodness. And to think I, a DEMON myself, would get caught up in a simple trick. Hahaha, Beelzebub Lord of the Flies at your service."
And with that Beelzebub bowed his head with his good arm over his chest and his other at his back.
Lucifer didn't know how Beelzebub had gotten in that crater, and he didn't care. He simply grinned a grin only the Devil could make and chuckled.
Flashback End
Beelzebub: "Hahaha, certainly I'm more up to shape now than I was before."
Azazel only nodded his head at the man before looking at Lucifer, letting him know to continue with his introductions.
Moving his right arm, Lucifer pointed it to the man beside Beelzebub. The man had front locks of hair that reached his chin, the rest of his hair was tied to a small bun at the back of his head. He wore purple and silver robes that gave him a magician-like look, a golden amulet hung from his neck and reached the center of his chest. The amulet was in the shape of a square and showed engravings of limbs and eyes, giving it a demonic look. His red eyes were cold and collected, much like the look he was giving Azazel. In his visible hand was a long staff that that held a gem at the end. The staff seemed made of the trees found in Hell, as it gave off an aura of evil and gloominess.
Lucifer: "This is Asmodeus, I'm sure you likely know of him~"
Azazel's lips twitched up a bit. Of course he knew who he was. The man/demon had a reputation of being the literal embodiment of lust and desire. And being a man himself, Azazel had partaken in the pleasure that women had to offer, but from the looks of it, Asmodeus seemed more of a recluse type of man.
Asmodeus: "I would greatly appreciate it if you were to disregard those rumors."
His voice was cold and chilling. Azazel simply raised an eyebrow at Lucifer, hoping to get him to explain what meant by "rumors".
Lucifer: "Ahahaha! Don't mind him Azzy, he simply doesn't like the attention to his private life~"
Asmodeus: "You drugged me!"
Lucifer: "And you gladly partook in it before you were!~"
Asmodeus: " *tch* I was under the influence of the others."
Lucifer merely chuckled at his weak excuse while Asmodeus turned his head away from them with a small blush to his cheeks.
Lucifer moved his left arm this time to present his last companion.
Lucifer: "And last but not least, Leviathan himself~"
Azazel choked on air and stared wide eyed at the man.
Leviathan wore a hooded rope over his ragged clothing. His yellow glowing eyes stood out from under the hood as he stared at Azazel. His features were hidden but he was the tallest of them as he stood at around 7 feet and 5 inches.
Now that he gave him his full attention, Azazel could sense that the man was in fact familiar to him. And if he was correct, he could only guess how Lucifer had gotten him on his side.
Azazel: "Leviathan?! As in THE Leviathan that our Father slain himself in the depths of the Ocean?!"
Leviathan: "Slain?! Your puny excuse of a God did not slay me crow! He merely banished me to the depths of Hell!"
Lucifer: "There you have it!~"
Azazel: "No no no no, that doesn't explain anything Brother. We were there when he came out of the waters with his HEAD!"
Leviathan merely scoffed and rolled his eyes. Lucifer only kept his charming smile and closed his eyes.
Lucifer: "Hmmm, would you like me to explain it Levi?~"
Leviathan kept quiet for a moment, before he grunted in what seemed like annoyance.
Leviathan: "No. I'll tell this ignorant crow myself."
Azazel almost made a remark about how he himself was a serpent or a literal fish, but he held his tongue.
Leviathan: "Did you know why he even came down to my domain in the depths of the Ocean? He had somehow learned of my desire to walk amongst the mortals."
That reason perplexed only Azazel, Lucifer and the rest had already heard the tale and simply kept quiet out of respect.
Leviathan: "I wished to walk with the mortals. Tired of the water that surrounded me, I simply wished to obtain a body of my own and feel the earth beneath my feet."
His eyes were looking passed Azazel, as if he as envisioning a future long gone. After a moment he snapped out of it and glared at Azazel.
Leviathan: "And what did that so called God say to me? He said I was UNWORTHY of walking amongst his creations! That I, the Serpent of the Sea, should stay where I belong!"
At this point he was seething, his breathe causing the air around him to crackle from the sudden cold.
Leviathan: "When your Father came down to the depths of my domain, he was the aggressor! I merely protected myself, and protect myself I did. Your 'mighty' God may have scratched my scales, he may have broken several teeth from my jaws, but not once was he close to ending my life!"
Leviathan then brought down his hood, showing his new body to all to see. His dark blue scale-like skin glittered as light bounced off it. His now visible hands that lifted off the hood showed his talons and built muscles on his arm. His face was of a handsome decently aged man with long dark blue hair that were colored in the shape of fins.
Leviathan: "Once he got it through his thick skull that he wouldn't be able to kill me, he simply banished me once I let my guard down. Next thing I knew, I was in the lowest part of Hell's ocean."
Lucifer then decided to add his own part of the story.
Lucifer: "Which is where I found him~ Although one thing to clear up, this is just a puppet that we created for him to inhabit~ His serpent body is still in the waters of Hell, so I simply offered a deal to fix him up with a body made of his own scales in the meantime~"
Azazel: "*sigh* That explains why I didn't recognize you at first. But that still doesn't explain how our Father had his HEAD when he resurfaced that day."
Leviathan: "He must have used my scales or teeth that I had left behind to form an illusion of some sort. *tch* I should have killed him the moment he entered my waters."
Leviathan, now finished with his introduction, simply pulled his hood back on.
Lucifer: "Heh, now with the introductions out of the way, why don't we get to what this is really about."
Lucifer stated as he put both of his elbows on the table, his hands clasped together and hiding how his smile had faded away. Though it didn't hide how his eyes lost their playful nature.
Azazel: "I'm sure you know exactly why I called you here."
Azazel leaned forward and reflected Lucifer's pose. His eyes and face never once losing their stern look.
Lucifer: "Of course...*sigh*...and what exactly do you expect me to do Azazel? Since when did you become like Gabriel and expect me to hold your hand to guide you through your own mess?"
Azazel: "..."
Lucifer: "Hmmph, the problem with what you are asking me is, what do I gain from this Azzy?"
Azazel: "Depends on what you are trying to gain from this. You started this to begin with, I'm merely following in your example."
Lucifer simply looked at him with a deadpan look.
Azazel: "...What can I give you that would get you to help?"
Lucifer: "The Throne."
His immediate response was quiet but still carried over to Azazel.
Azazel: "Still the same power-hungry lunatic as always huh?"
Lucifer: "I don't want HIS throne, I want THE Throne. You know exactly what I am speaking of."
Lucifer squinted his eyes at him, the other 3 simply stood and awaited for anything to happen.
Azazel: "And if I do know what you are talking about, what exactly are you gonna do with it? Will it finally quench that hunger for power, or are you going to want seconds?"
Azazel glared at him with full killing intent. What would be the point of doing any of this if they were just going to go back to square one.
Lucifer: "..."
Lucifer stayed silent. Azazel didn't know if to take his silence as a yes or if this was just another part of his plans to manipulate him, but he wasn't going to take any chances.
Azazel: "It was a mistake calling you here Brother."
Azazel put his hands on the table and stood up. He turned his back on them and was about to walk onto the magic circle he prepared beforehand that led to the Grigori HQ. Once the magic circle appeared, he stepped on it and was only stopped by the sudden movement of a chair.
He turned his head to see Lucifer right behind him looking directly into his eyes.
Lucifer: "Did you know, that being the first Angel created by our Father comes with its perks~ Look into my eyes Dear Brother and tell me, what do you see~?"
Azazel stared into his eyes and as if he was paralyzed he couldn't turn away. His surroundings were getting blurry and he felt as if he was floating. However, he could only gaze into the ocean blue eyes as they seemingly warped and spun.
Then it all turned dark.
—
Azazel's POV
I was suddenly brought back to consciousness. I was somehow laying down on the ground, but there was no surface. I couldn't tel if I was upright or if I was still laying down. I was about to get up when the voice of Lucifer sounded from behind me.
Lucifer: "Ah, you're finally awake~"
I turned and there he stood with the same devilish grin on his face.
Azazel: "What did you do?! Where am I?!"
The last thing I remember was trying to leave after the meeting with him. The constant headache I have right now isn't helping me think clearly either.
Lucifer: "Now, now, let's just calm down~"
He said as he held up his hands in front of him in a surrendering position.
Lucifer: "I merely wanted to talk to you without interruptions~ Tell me, do you know what's so special about my eyes?~"
I raised an eyebrow in confusion. His eyes? What about them? I couldn't sense anything different about them, not like Beelzebub's eye socket that radiated a murky feeling.
Lucifer: "*sighhh* of course you can't sense it dear little brother~ When our Father created me, he gave me the gift~"
Lucifer started walking closer to me, making me back away a little. I still didn't know what his main goal here was.
Lucifer: "The Eyes of Truth."
His voice sent chills down my spine with how quickly it lost its playfulness.
Lucifer: "Eyes that can see the Truth in all that I can see. Our Father gave them to me as a gift for being his first Angel and servant."
He started circling around me as he talked, I simply followed his figure out of the corners of my eyes.
Lucifer: "However, simply seeing the Truth isn't all that it can do. With time I learned several things that came with these eyes. The two most important of them is that 1; the Truth also includes events that have already occurred. The past itself counts as the Truth you know?"
The headache is still there, but it was lessening as time went on. Allowing me to think about where he's taking this. The fact that he can see into the past is already alarming, an ability such as that would be invaluable for interrogation of information.
Lucifer: "2; it works on Gods."
I almost couldn't process what he said. Gods? His Eyes of Truth work on beings with Divinity? Impossible, God wasn't crazy or stupid enough to give someone that much power. Immortality for a mortal? Sure, that was nothing compared to what Lucifer is saying to have. He's surely lying.
Lucifer: "Now don't look at me like that. You seem to think of me as a liar, that wounds my heart Azzy~ But tell me, when have I ever lied? Twist my words and lead everyone astray is what I do, it's not my fault they can't see underneath the underneath~ But outright lying? No, no, I would never."
It's true that the times I have talked to him he had never once lied to me, tricked me sure but he never lied. But then again, he could be using his words to distract me right now.
Lucifer: "Well... It's more like I can't lie~ Every blessing has its curse~ And this one in particular is one nasty curse, I can't lie or I'll crumble to dust."
Azazel: "And how would you know that? If what you said is true, then how would you be able to know, I doubt your eyes told you that."
Lucifer: "And that's where you are wrong, dear Azzy. It is because of these Eyes that I was able to live this long. Now think for a moment and piece together what I've told you, surely you can do that, can't you little Azzy?~"
Ignoring his little taunt at the end, I rubbed the bridge of my nose to get the headache to subside for a moment.
Azazel: 'Seeing the Truth is the main function of his Eyes. He can't lie himself as he stated it as a curse for his blessing. God was the one that gifted it to him, but...his Eyes also affect beings of Divinity meaning that it should also affect...God himself. The Truth also means seeing the past as the events of the past are already set in stone, so that means..."
Removing my hand from my nose, I turned my head to the side to look at my Brother head on.
Azazel: "You saw something that our Father did, didn't you."
Lucifer grin seemed to get wider and more sinister.
Lucifer: "Of course I did, who wouldn't? And I wasn't the first to do so."
Azazel: "And what exactly does that mean?"
Lucifer: "Exactly what I said~ I wasn't the first and surely I won't be the last. Wanna know what exactly I saw in the Truth about our Father? The Lord of Heaven is insane, he is but a madman given form. I, Lucifer Morningstar, am the first Angel to be created by God? More like I was the first to survive long enough to be named."
Azazel: "Yo—you don't mean that—"
Lucifer: "Of course, with my Eyes, I saw what He had done. His first Angels, the prototypes to be exact, was what I saw when I used my Eyes on Him. The very firsts died before being given these Eyes, the others that did survive were experimented on and died after telling a lie to Him. Turned to dust and exposed of."
I gulped a little loudly, but he didn't seem to mind.
Lucifer: "So let's just cut to the point, you need my help and I need yours. I help you get (Y/n) out of Heaven and you give me the Throne that comes with him."
I was puzzled at how he knew of (Y/n) but then remembered that he has been making eye contact with me. I cursed my stupidity before turning away from him.
Azazel: "And you have yet to answer my question of why you even want the damn thing."
Lucifer scoffed at me.
Lucifer: "It's simple Azzy, I simply want what you want, freedom. I want to be free from that madman of a Father. We both know that Throne is connected with all of Heaven, with it we can finally put down the lunatic for good, we can finally release the rules that hold us down. Angels won't have to worry about keeping their desires in check. Fallen and Devil alike can mingle with one another without being condemned to Hell."
I wouldn't say that I wasn't tempted to accept the offer, however, I don't know if that was his voice tempting me or his eyes. I didn't like any of this and he knows it if that grin of his is anything to show for.
Azazel: "And if I refuse?"
Lucifer: "Then it will be your loss~ Aren't YOU the one that called ME for MY help?~ It's not like you have any other options, I've seen you try already~"
Azazel: "Fucking bastard, just how much did you see already?"
Lucifer: "Who knows?~"
The sly bastard had probably already knew everything there is to know. If those Eyes of his really do work then the whole operation would be compromised.
Azazel: "...fine but under 4 conditions."
Lucifer simply gave me a closed eye smile.
Azazel: "1: A section of the territory you own will be given to the Grigori. 2: Once you get that damn Throne, we break it apart when we are done with it. 3: An alliance between your faction and mine. And finally 4: Under any circumstance where the Grigori deems you to have betrayed us, we have the right to cut off this deal with no repercussions."
Lucifer opened his eyes and stared directly into mine. He didn't say anything and merely brought his hand out in front of him, waiting for a handshake.
Lucifer: "..."
Azazel: "..."
Lucifer: "Well?~ What are you waiting for?~"
Azazel: "I'm waiting for you to say it! I'm not falling for your tricks Lucifer, state the conditions for the deal."
Lucifer: "Oh fine! What happened to the carefree Azzy that I used to know? You are so boring!"
Azazel: "State the fucking conditions Lucifer!"
Lucifer: "*tch* I, Lucifer Morningstar Devil of Hell, accept the conditions brought upon this Deal by Governor General Azazel of the Grigori. To give up 40% of my territory to them, to destroy the Throne after its use, to forming an alliance between our groups, and giving the Grigori the right to void this Deal under suspicion of betrayal by yours truly. So I ask you, will you accept this Deal with the Devil?"
Lucifer once again stretched his arm out, but this time I grabbed it with satisfaction swelling within me.
Azazel: "I accept."
As soon as I accepted, a demonic magic circle appeared near both of our chest area. The circle glowed a bit before entering our bodies and disappearing from view.
Lucifer: "And with that, the Contract has been made and is bonded to us through our souls. It was a pleasure doing business with you little Azzy, but I must head back to Hell and organize my military. My 72 pillars are getting angsty for a fight with some Angels. Buh-bye~"
With a small wave, he disappeared into the darkness. No sooner did he leave did I feel myself losing conscious.
—
3rd POV
Beelzebub: "Is it done?"
Lucifer: "Of course~ Don't tell me you doubted my abilities?~"
Asmodeus: "Of course not, we are simply wondering if we should begin now."
Lucifer: "Ah! Yes, let us begin. With everything in place we should have no trouble with breaking into Father's domain."
Leviathan: "And what about the crow?"
He asked while pointing at the unconscious Azazel lying on the floor.
Lucifer simply eyed the man before shrugging his shoulders.
Lucifer: "Activate the teleportation circle, it would surely take him back to where he came from~"
Leviathan nodded his head before walking over to Azazel's body. He then tapped the floor with his foot, shooting some magic into the circle to get it to activate. Azazel's body shimmered before disappearing.
Lucifer: "Let us go gentlemen. Our friends back in Hell are finally allowed to let loose~"
Lucifer walked to the doors leading out of the room with the other 3 in tow.
Many ? Later
Explosions filled the sky, coloring the once white clouds with an array of colors. Screams and shouts filled the air as people fought with one another. Bodies limped, heads flew, arms struggled to wave around their weapons and magic. Angels, fallen or not, and Demons fought against one another. Holy light was tossed and clashed with demonic spells, tainted weapons from the Fallen cleaved into the Angels that were too tired to dodge.
How long had they been fighting? No one on the battlefield knew. They didn't have the leisure to count the days and nights as they continued to add bodies onto the piles of corpses. The forces of the Grigori and Lucifer's Demon army struggled to get closer to the Gates of Heaven, but with each passing moment it felt like they were being pushed back. The frustration of losing their ground and comrades was clear on all their faces. Angel, Fallen, and Demon alike panted and gasped for breathe while they could.
A simple skirmish.
All of this was but one of the many skirmishes that the opposing sides had. The spectators that were the other Pantheons had all grown bored after the first few. Only the Gods of War and Conflict watched with unending interest. They would have joined into the fray if it were not for the Solitary Treaties that they had in place.
Time on the battlefield, that was the sky, was nonexistent. No one but their superiors and the leaders of each faction knew how long they had fought for. Said superiors and leaders had yet to join the war. They merely watched and analyzed as well, except for God who had gone silent at the start of this war and had yet to make an appearance. But his presence had been felt on different continents and regions.
Funnily enough, these regions and areas were also where these skirmishes occurred.
Today, however, it seemed that this skirmish was going to turn into a Legendary Battle. The first indicator was how silent the sky became. Everyone seemed to have froze. Magic no longer was being casted by the Demons. Both sides of Angels stopped their projectiles of light. None of them moved as they simply stayed still floating.
*ROOOOOOAAAAARRR*
*ROOOOOOOAAAARR*
Two loud roars overlapped each other as the sky shook around them.
Their faces paled, their eyes dilated and were constantly on the move, searching for the cause of their nightmares. There was no one that didn't know the primal battle cries of the powerful beings they came from. With them being in this particular part of the European continent, there were only a select few who could cause the Earth to shake and the sky to tremble.
A mighty gust of wind propelled those unfortunate enough to be caught in it. The tiny storms of wind cut through the unfortunate soldiers near it. Their blood flew as did their bodies before dropping to the earth below.
One pair of giant scaled-wings and another pair of feathered wings burst forth from below and upwards into the clouds above. Their massive length and width, while attached to the massive bodies they accompanied, casted shadows over the small, in comparison, soldiers.
Those that resided where they came from were killed instantly before they could react as the 2 massive bodies smashed into them, reducing their bodies to red paste.
The massive figures were in a fierce battle of strength as they clawed at each other. Their altitude was increasing and increasing, almost to the heights of Heaven's Domain.
But before they could cross the boundary, they stopped and separated. The sun shined on both of them, revealing their identities for all to witness.
Demon Soldier: "D-d-d-dragons!"
Fallen Angel: "O-O-OH SHIT RUN!"
Angel: "The Two Heavenly Dragons!"
The dragons, one with white fur and feathered wings and the other with crismon red scales and scaled wings, were Albion and Ddraig. All the Pantheons near the European continent both feared and respected these ancient beings and had even gave them both the title of Heavenly Dragon, making them the Two Heavenly Dragons. Ddraig with his flames that burned anything, even the soul, to ash. Albion with his poison that could kill Gods with even the smallest of drops.
Albion and Ddraig paid no mind to their panicking retreat as they stared at each other.
Ddraig: "HAHAHAH, IS THAT ALL YOU CAN DO ALBION?!"
Albion: "HMMPH, RUNNING THAT MOUTH AGAIN AREN'T YOU DDRAIG?! I DEVELOPED A NEW TECHNIQUE, WATCH AS I DRAIN YOUR STRENGTH AND USE IT FOR MYSELF!"
Ddraig: "IS THAT ALL?! YOUR PATHETIC TRICKS ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO MY NEW POWER!"
Ddraig charged at Albion, causing whirlwinds to pick up unfortunate soldiers and slaughtering them. Albion braced himself for the impact and waited for the moment to unleash his ability.
*BOOM*
The impact alone caused the clouds around them to quickly dissipate, creating an arena of open sky. Albion turned his neck and bit into the shoulder of Ddraig as Ddraig himself clawed at Albion's stomach.
*BOOOOOST*
*DIIVVIIDEE*
The constant repetition of those words accompanied their battle as their newly made techniques boosted and consumed their power. Ddraig's new ability that he made, "Boost", doubled his own power every second, while Albion's "Divide" divided any opponents', that he touches, power by 2 and gives it to himself. Other abilities that they possessed much like Ddraig's "Blazing Inferno of Scorching Flames" were sealed as both Albion and Ddraig countered each other almost easily. Having no other way to prove who was the better rival, they had agreed to simply develop new techniques and fight through physical prowess.
After a few moments where they traded blows, they once again separated. Both equally injured, they once again were at a standstill.
Ddraig: "IT SEEMS ONCE AGAIN THAT FATE DECIDES THAT OUR RIVALRY MUST CONTINUE! HAHAHA!"
Albion: "INDEED. LET US FINISH THIS ONCE AGAIN WITH OUR CLAWS AND JAWS!"
As they were about to reengage, a flash of light blinded them. Being unable to see, they were blind-sided by a vast amount of magic and holy light from the reorganized soldiers.
The soldiers were from all 3 factions of the Biblical faith. An unofficial ceasefire had been made while the Two Heavenly Dragons were fighting. With their new goal of removing the dragons to continue their conflict, they prepared themselves for a fight that they knew they could not win alone.
Ddriag: "WHO DARES INTERRUPT OUR FATED BATTLE!"
Albion: "IT SEEMS WE HAVE SOME DISCIPLINING TO DO!"
As the dust clouds disappeared, the newly allied forces froze in fear once again. It was one thing to attack a dragon with a sneak attack, it was another to face their wrath head-on. And so the first victims of the legendary battle were a group of 39 Demons that were swallowed whole by Ddraig.
His jaws closed with a mighty clamp as the rest regained what little composure they had. The next victims were torn apart by Albion's claws as he crushed them into a bloody pulp.
Their morale was low, but in the face of he mighty dragons, their morale ceased to exist.
That was until the a pitch black, with a red outline, bolt of demonic energy blasted into Ddraig's chest, pushing his back.
*BOOM*
Lucifer: "Worry not dear friends~ In the face of The Devil of Hell, these overgrown lizards are nothing~"
The voice of Lucifer brought upon a calming affect to all Angels and Demons alike. Whether that was the charming side-effect of the Devil or just the relief that help arrived, they didn't know nor were just glad to not have to fight these monsters alone.
Floating above the soldiers, to the level of the 2 dragons, were the leaders and generals of Hell and the Grigori. However, no High member from Heaven were to be seen. It did not go unnoticed by the leaders like Azazel and Lucifer, but they ignored it for the situation at hand.
Azazel: "SCATTER!"
Not needing to be told twice, everyone put distance between themselves and the mighty entities. The only ones left near them were Lucifer, Beelzebub, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Lucifer's 72 Pillars, Azazel, Baraquiel, Shemhazai, and several others.
Ddraig and Albion recovered from being disoriented and flew high to gain altitude, quickly blocking the sunlight from those below.
Lucifer: "EVERYONE! THIS WILL BE THE BATTLE OF YOUR LIFE'S! FIGHT FOR ME! FIGHT FOR YOURSELVES! FIGHT FOR FREEDOM! FIGHT FOR HELL!"
His natural charisma drew forth a hidden feeling within every soldier. The sparks of bravery and loyalty spread through their ranks. The soldiers cast away their hatred for one another and resolved themselves to kill the mighty dragons or die trying.
EVERYONE: "OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!"
Their battle cry shook the sky the same way the dragons did. Teleportation circles appeared around the soldiers below, Fallen and Demon soldiers quickly came through the flashes of light. Their once diminished numbers had now become several times bigger than what they originally started Angels of God were getting nervous, as they worried that their own comrades up above would not support them. However, their worries were for naught as the sound of the Gates of Heaven opening was heard.
*CREEEAAAAAKK*
The Gates slowly opened right above the dragons in the sky. At the entrance stood several High Cardinal Angels including Kokabiel, Isasiel, Nuezel, and more. The 2 Angels leading them were Seraph Michael and an unknown Angel that seemed to be made of metal as his skin reflected light.
Lucifer all of a sudden started chuckling, drawing many eyes to him.
Lucifer: "Kukukukuku! YOU MADMAN! YOU CERTAINLY HAVE DONE IT NOW! HAHAHAHAHA!"
Seeing the questioning gazes of those around him, Lucifer calmed himself and began explaining.
Lucifer: "It makes sense for you not to know him, you all are too young. But that Angel is but the one and only Voice of God, Metatron!"
Many gasped in shock. How could they not? Metatron, the Voice of God, was said to have perished during a large battle in the Dimensional Gaps. Only the oldest of Angels were able to pass on his tale of achievements in battle. Not only was he the Voice of God, but he carried the Highest Authority of all Angels excluding Lucifer himself. Carrying the teachings of God within his words, he was said to have been able to turn even the most wicked and vile heretic into a devotee of God.
The Angel of Metal did not wait or give any orders as he flew faster than any could see towards the dragons.
As they were distracted by Lucifer's encouraging speech and Heaven's reinforcements, nobody saw how Albion and Ddraig were gathering their Draconic energy and were close to unleashing it towards the allied forces. All but one, as Metatron arrived to them, he didn't even open his mouth to speak.
Metatron: "Under the Lord's gaze and Domain, we, his Creations do his bidding."
His voice resonated throughout the sky, seemingly coming from all directions.
Metatron: "His teachings, his blessings, under his guidance we learn to love and learn to live. We are all EQUAL under the Heavenly Lord's Throne. AMEN!"
Metatron then clapped his hands together in a prayer, and in that instance the ball of draconic energy that Albion and Ddraig were building up seemed to have shattered into bits of light.
Ddriag: "WHAT! IMPOSSIBLE! FOR A MERE PIGEON TO HAVE DONE THIS, I'LL ERASE YOU FROM EXISTENCE!"
Ddraig shouted in rage while Albion was already in front of Metatron preparing to chew him to bits.
Before he could snap his jaw, holy spears exploded near his eye causing him to miss. Ddraig then came from behind Metatron and smacked the Voice of God down to the surface.
As Metatron was shot to the ground, the others started giving out orders and forming plans. The Angels of God spilled through the Gates of Heaven, the Fallen and Demons of Hell ascended towards the Two Heavenly Dragons.
Explosions rippled across the sky and their massive bodies. Their scales protecting them and only the small unnoticeable scratches indicating any damage.
Beelzebub removed his gloves and punched Ddraig along his back. The effects were instantaneous, the scales on his back began to lose their crimson red color and started becoming gray. Being the Lord of the Flies and one of the future Great Satans, Beelzebub was the embodiment of Gluttony and his abilities reflected that. His own flesh and blood had the ability to consume the very life out of anything it touched.
With the scales becoming brittle, Orobas, one of the 72 Demon Pillars, followed up with an attack of lightning. The scales not being able to take up the force peeled off to reveal tissue underneath.
Ddraig: "DRAAAAUUU! LITTLE INSECTS!"
Ddraig quickly turned using his wings and pulverized Orobas, effectively killing him in a single blow.
Flauros: "DAMMIT, OROBAS!"
Angered, Flauros flew upward and summoned forth hundreds of demonic circles.
Flauros: "PERISH!"
Numerous attacks of different elements rained down on Ddraig's wings. Some creating holes while others bounced off his scales.
Metatron, who had recovered from the fall, was currently flying all around Albion. Letting loose some volleys of holy light, as he continues to offer prayers that effectively shatter any energy the Two Heavenly Dragons try to use.
Albion: "NUISANCES, ALL OF YOU! MY QUARREL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU LOT!"
Albion creates distance between them by flapping his wings. The action causes some of his feathers to fall of his wings.
Not seeing any harm, several soldiers stupidly allow the feathers to touch them. Those who knew of Albion's abilities immediately warned those that have yet to touch them.
High Cardinal Angel: "STAY AWAY FROM THEM!"
Gremory: "AVOID THE FEATHERS!"
Penemue: "YOU USELESS WHORES, TOUCH THEM AND I'LL BE THE ONE TOUCHING YOU AT THE END OF THIS!"
At Penemue's threat, everyone frantically dodged the slow falling feathers.
Albion flapped his wings before floating still. He gazed at them from high above before he brought his hand towards them in an open palm.
Everyone that was currently focused on him waited for the attack to come. However, Albion simply closed his hand into a fist. And calmly stated.
Albion: "DIMENSION DIVIDE."
At that moment the heads of all those that touched the feathers simply disappeared. Blood sprouted from their necks as they slowly limped and then fell.
The allied forces were given no time to process what happened as Albion was already sky-diving towards them. His speedy descend scattering feathers all across the battlefield, effectively making obstacles for the allied forces and restricting their movement.
Back with Ddraig, the scales and tissue that were once exposed had now healed. The constant sound of "BOOST" let everyone know of the ever growing strength of their foe. Their attacks did little to no damage. Even Lucifer's demonic attacks were starting to become redundant.
Azazel: "None of this is working!"
Lucifer: "You don't think I can SEE that!"
Shemhazai: "Oi! Now isn't the time for jokes Lucifer!"
Leviathan: "And what EXACTLY do you expect us to do about it!"
Using teleportation magic, they completely dodged Ddraig's onslaught. Reappearing several miles away from the battle, the group of 4 simply turned to each other.
Azazel: "Shemhazai, I think it's time to do the thing."
Shemhazai choked on his spit as he stared at Azazel wide eyed.
Shemhazai: "You can't be serious! It's not even ready yet! It's only in its prototype stage!"
Azazel: "But it still works right?"
While Lucifer and Leviathan were confused, Shemhazai continued to deny the use of the "thing" they were speaking of.
Shemhazai: "And how will we activate it huh?! I've only been able to get it to be manually activated! There is no remote or console we can use that puts a great distance from its blasting range!"
Azazel: "I've got a plan already, just get the damn thing!"
Shemhazai: "Crazy bitch, we'll see about that!"
Just as Shemhazai was going to leave, Lucifer grabbed his cheeks with his hands and turned him to look into his Eyes. It was only a brief moment before Shemhazai pushed him away and left, but it was enough time to understand what they were talking about.
Without acknowledging Azazel, Lucifer turned to Leviathan.
Lucifer: "Leviathan, leave that body. We need you at your fullest now."
Leviathan: "*tch* Just when I was getting used this one."
Leaving in a teleportation circle, Lucifer joined back into the fray leaving Azazel confused on why he was planning. Leviathan gave him a glare before also leaving in a circle.
In the depths of the ocean in Hell, at the bottom where the light never reached, a massive body of scales uncoiled itself fro its cave. A pair of golden amber eyes opened and narrowed, waiting for the chance it would be called to the carnage.

Somewhere In the Dimensional Gap
God was seen floating in the emptiness of the Dimensional Gaps seemingly searching for something. The "battle" with his rebellious children had started already while he was away from Heaven. Though he paid little attention to them, he could appreciate their persistence as it allowed him to venture into places that piqued his interest.
God: "Omega, please try to keep up."
The individual that followed behind him, Omega, simply nodded his head stiffly and faced into the distance of the void. His white hair stayed the same over the years, his eyes were closed, his white priest coat and suit simply swayed side to side.
God simply moved on, there was little time to search and reseal Trihexa.
Unknown to God, a small figure watched them from a distance. Only Omega sensed them and had his head facing them the entire time. Neither made a move to engage with one another, they simply floated.
Omega opened his eyes slightly, revealing violet eyes, as he gazed at the small figure of a girl in the distance. Her black hair that reached her ankles swayed within the void, her black lolita-styled dress was paired with a headwear that was on her head. A small smile was on her face as she raised her hand and waved it in a small greeting.
However, once their eyes made contact, she vanished.
Omega stopped raising his hand to return the greeting and simply looked at where she once was.
Seeing nothing, he closed his eyes and turned to follow his Creator who had formed a great distance.

Back To The Battlefield
Shemhazai had arrived carrying a small rectangle shaped device that was the size of his entire body.
He scanned the area, looking for Azazel. Not seeing him around, he turned to a nearby Demon.
Shemhazai: "Oi! Where's Azazel?"
Demon: "Huh? How should I know?"
Shemhazai clicked his tongue in annoyance. It would seem that he would have to start the plan on his own. The only problem was choosing which of the 2 dragons to use it on. There was only one device, meaning that they had one chance to immobilize one of the two threats.
Baraquiel: "Shemhazai!"
Hearing his name being called, he turned to face Baraquiel who was flying towards him.
Shemhazai: "Just in time Baraquiel, I need your assistance!"
Baraquiel nodded his head.
Baraquiel: "That's precisely why I came. Azazel told me to find you and to assist with your plan."
Shemhazai: "Good, we are using this on Ddraig. Ddraig's strength increases as the battle continues, it's best to eliminate him now."
Baraquiel nodded his head again before turning and ordering multiple allied troops to follow his lead.
Baraquiel: "Then let us serve as the diversion."
Shemhazai: "Much appreciated friend, but be on your guard. Once this thing detonates there will likely be less than a few seconds to get to a safe distance."
The device that Shemhazai was carrying is actually a prototype he and Azazel planned to perfect. A prototype of a bomb that uses the chaotic energy when holy and demonic energy is mixed together. These opposite powers would clash with one another for dominance, each clash multiplying the force and energy produced until a chain reaction occurs that neutralizes both of them in an explosion. The device keeps the chaotic energy bottled up for a certain amount of time until the canister explodes from the force, unleashing its pent up energy to the surrounding area. Because it was in its prototype stage, neither Azazel nor Shemhazai knew just how much force would be contained until it explodes. In the worse case scenario the device would explode as soon as it is activated, the best case scenario would be it would built up till it envelopes the entire body of Albion.
That would mean whoever activated it would for sure perish either way.
In the distance, the battle with Albion continued as the allied forces struggled to avoid the continuously falling feathers.
Shemhazai, Baraquiel, and the small brigade of troops following them braced themselves for another engagement.
Shemhazai: "Everyone, get Albion's attention, I need to safely anchor this onto his body."
Everyone: "GOT IT!"
With that they scattered and quickly informed those around of their plan as they ascended towards Albion.
Shemhazai lifted the device in front of him as he opened the console to set the timer.
Shemhazai: 'Shit! For a dragon that size the amount of buildup would need to be 60 minutes!'
He didn't know if they had 60 minutes to spare as with each passing moment, their forces were being depleted at a considerable rate. That wasn't the only problem either, as he didn't know if the device could withstand the chaotic buildup of 60 minutes, it was sure to blow before the 20 minute mark in a best-case scenario.
Gritting his teeth he pushed the start on the timer. The device hummed as the holy and demonic energy reacted to one another instantly. With little time to spare, Shemhazai immediately flew upwards toward Albion while dodging the occasional stray feather.
—
Beelzebub projected a magic circle that consumed a feather that came close to him. Although he was the embodiment of Gluttony, he couldn't exactly consume the majestic feathers of Albion without serious repercussions. So he begrudgingly turned them to dust before he could fully consume them.
He noticed a few careless soldiers about to be touched by some, so he projects a huge wall of spells to eviscerate them.
Beelzebub: "DAMN FOOLS! GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
Hearing him shout they frantically look around themselves and create distance from Albion. Baraquiel, hearing him yell comes over.
Baraquiel: "A plan is in play, we must distract Albion while Shemhazai prepares the device he and Azazel made."
Beelzebub looked at him unsure.
Beelzebub: "And this device has the power to face off against Albion The Vanishing Dragon? Preposterous!"
Baraquiel: "Believe what you will! But know that if there is even a slimmer of a chance that this may work, I would gladly jump head first into their jaws!"
The others around them seemed to have agreed with that statement as they increased their attack on Albion who was currently chasing a battalion of Angels.
Beelzebub glared at Baraquiel.
Beelzebub: "FINE! What would you need me to do then?!"
Baraquiel: "Simply do what you have always been doing, fight with all you have."
And with he left to support the battalion being chased by the dragon.
Beelzebub flew after him, but not before grabbing a gem from the pocket of his suit and putting it into his eye socket. The gem that was placed into the empty eye socket seemed to have been consumed by the void.
As soon as it vanished, Beelzebub's already chubby from seemed to have grown more in size and muscle mass.
Beelzebub: "Fight will all I have? I'll show you all that I have to fight with!"
His transformation complete, he was now 4 times the size of a regular Demon, making him a giant among the allied forces. His power seemed to have also quadrupled as his presence was easily recognizable in the battlefield.
His once chubby form was now muscular, his mouth widened as his mouth reached to his ears. His empty eye socket was now replaced with multiple glimmers of gems. And his one good eye had turned to multiple eyes much like that of a fly. His once deformed hands split open to form 4 steel like appendages. Demon wings sprouted from his back that glittered like stars.
Beelzebub: "ALLLBIOOOON!"
The dragon stopped its pursuit and turned his neck around to face the challenger.
Beelzebub: "I, BEELZEBUB LORD OF THE FLIES, CHALLENGE YOU!"
Using the dignity and pride of the dragon against him, Beelzebub initiated a duel that Albion could not reject. Since Beelzebub had now proved himself to be a worthy opponent, Albion turned to face him.
Although their sizes were no where near the same, Beelzebub's bold statement and increase in power was worth mention.
Albion: "TO CHALLENGE ME, THE VANISHING DRAGON, TO A DUEL. YOU MUST BE EITHER BRAVE OR FOOLISH. BUT I SHALL NOT JUDGE! COME, I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE!"
Unlike Ddraig who would have likely ignored a duel from a weak opponent, Albion respected and honored challengers whether they were mortals or Gods. It's why he could put up with Ddraig's shenanigans for so long.
The silence was suffocating, as everyone watched the duel about to start. Only Shemhazai and a few others under his command were waiting for an opening.
Beelzebub tightened his multiple fists and covered them in his usual corrosion.
Albion opened his mouth and breathed out before charging forward.
Due to the size difference, he reached Beelzebub in a matter of seconds.
*CRACK*
At the last moment before contact, Albion's head was swiftly knocked to the side. Beelzebub had not only blocked his attack but punched the dragon with enough force to crack his scaled head.
Albion: "AHHHHHH! IMPRESSIVE!"
Getting more motivated, Albion brought his tail around and swiped at Beelzebub. But he was already flying towards his face.
Beelzebub quickly put more power into the corrosion on his hands as he thrusted them into the skin of Albion. The scales quickly losing their vibrant white glow and turning to dust.
Albion: "DIVIDE."
The sudden loss of strength quickly made Beelzebub realize his blunder as he tried to make some distance.
Albion then opened his mouth to consume the Demon but not before Beelzebub launched several spheres of demonic energy into Albion's mouth causing explosions to erupt.
Albion closed his mouth with a mighty chomp, but ended up receiving no taste of flesh and blood. The smoke from the explosion covered his eyesight, not allowing him to see Beelzebub's form diving towards his chest area.
With all 4 appendages cocked back, Beelzebub punches with full force repeatedly. With punches, so fast, they start breaking through the tough scales that covered Albion's torso.
*CRACK*
*ROOOOOAAARRR*
The roar of pain from Albion let everyone know that they had a chance to finish this.
As Beelzebub was repeatedly beating down on Albion's chest, he failed to see Albion's tail sneaking up on him.
A white blur moved and sent Beelzebub flying across the sky. With his chest able to take a breather, Albion started focusing on on making a draconic sphere and was planning on attacking Beelzebub as he was dazed.
Beelzebub on the other hand was dazed and barely keeping conscious. One hit was all it took for the all this damage to be done to him, even with his true Demon form he wasn't able to face the might of a dragon. His 2 left appendages were gone, ripped right out of his shoulder socket. His face was battered as the gems on his eye socket were shattered and cracked. Luckily, that was the only damage that could be seen. His organs, however, felt like they had been mixed with one another.
After a moment, his vision cleared and was blinded by the pale-blue light coming from in front of him.
He narrowed his eyes and he could only helplessly look as Albion finished charging his attack.
However before it could be let loose, Shemhazai chucked the device that he was carrying into the jaws of Albion.
Only 25 minutes had passed, but any longer and they would never get another chance as this. It was a miracle that the device was able to withstand for 5 extra minutes.
Before the draconic sphere could be released a static ringing sound was heard by all.
No that wasn't the cause, the static ringing sound was the only thing everyone could hear. Even Ddraig and those fighting him were experiencing the deafening high pitch noise.
It seemed as if time froze for a moment as Albion had his jaw open with the draconic sphere still growing. That was until reality itself seemed to have warped, the vertex being the bottom jaw of Albion. Reality seemed Sri have warped and bended to that specific point, ripples could be seen through the sky and soon everything flashed white as Albion's sphere seemed to have collapsed in on itself.
There was no explosion. No sound.
Luckily those near Albion were able to teleport away, but even that didn't protect them from the effect of the device. Everyone was blinded and stunned by the sudden flash bang.
Soon, moments after the world of white, reality seemed to have fixed itself and everyone slowly gained their ability to see and hear.
The first thing they heard was the gargles and screaming of a dragon.
Albion: "GARDEDDDLHSE ! GLAGHLAHGAH!"
Nobody could understand what he was saying, but they understood one thing. He was in intense pain. And his current state reflected that.
His body was scorched black, his wings and feathers were barely hanging to each other on their bones. His lower jaw and tongue hung loosely by one end of his mouth, most likely due to his own attack combined with the device. Albion's eyes seemed to have melted under the intense heat, his left side of his skull of visible as it showed cracks along the way up to his head.
Seeing the state that they put one of the Heavenly Dragons in, everyone as shocked and terrified. However, only a few grinned madly at the sight. One of them chuckled and went into full blown laughter.
?: "kukuku...KEKEKEKEKE... AHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHH!"
The insane maniacal laughing of a man who lost his mind was heard. Everyone stiffly grew scared as they turned to the man who they knew just lost his mind.
The individual was wearing a battle rob of white armor. They had long black hair and wings that were just as dark. Both of his hands were on his head as he gazed with his insane eye at the tormented Albion.
He was once a High Cardinal General in God's forces. But now he was but a Fallen Angel.
The man laughing and growing more hysterical was Kokabiel. His bloodlust was growing with every passing second and nobody knew what to do.
Kokabiel: "KAKAAKAKAKAKAKAAKAKA! MIGHTY DRAGONS MY ASS! HOW DOES IT FEEL ALBION, TO BE POWERLESS AGAINST OUR MIGHT?!"
He was rambling over and over.
Many backed away from him, while those that also lost their minds smiled in glee.
Ddraig: "ALBION!"
The amount of rage in Ddraig's voice showed just how much he truly cared for Albion. Much like a certain duo, Albion and Ddraig had formed a bond with each other as each battle they had progressed, making them feel sort of like brothers in a sense.
Ddraig, in his blinded rage, sped through the shocked crowd towards Albion in order to somehow help. Unfortunately, his rage only led to his demise as Lucifer appeared right in front of him, looking directly into his eyes.
Ddraig: "OUT OF THE WAY SCUM!"
Lucifer: "My apologies, but I can't allow that. Look into my Eyes and tell me, what do you see?~"
Ddraig: "I SAID OUT OF—"
Ddraig's body froze stiff as he became entranced by Lucifer's Eyes.
Lucifer: "NOW ASMODEUS!"
Asmodeus, the Demon of Lust and Desire, nodded his and began chanting. Being a Demon of Lust and Desire did not necessarily mean that he was a being meant for sex, it generally meant that his power correlated to his Desires. The stronger his Lust for a Desire is, the more powerful he becomes in order to achieve said Desire. And at the moment, his Desire to bring forth a companion was at its strongest.
A teleportation circle appeared over Ddraig's paralyzed form, its size around half the length of his body.
Once the circle was complete, a huge amount of water gushed out of it, and soon the form of a large serpent came diving down onto Ddraig's back.
Leviathan, the Serpent of the Sea, released a loud growl as he coiled himself around Ddraig's torso. His serpent form was scaled dark blue and an aura of ice surrounded his body.
Leviathan: "Those are some nice wings you have there~ Mind if I borrow them?~"
Leviathan, after securing himself around Ddraig's body, bit at the base of one of his wings and released a chilling ice breath. The air crackled as the ice quickly spread across the base of the wing.
Leviathan, the Serpent of the Sea and the newly made Demon of Envy, the stronger and more advantageous his opponent/prey was, the more life-threatening his abilities became. With a being such as a Heavenly Dragon, that ice breath would be able to freeze the core of the planet in only 1 hour.
Once the ice breathe subsided, Leviathan, with a mighty bite, tore Ddraig's left wing off his back and consumed it.
Ddraig, under great pain, howled as he broke free from Lucifer's hold.
Ddraig: "GAAAAAAHHHH! INSOLENT WORM! GET OFF ME!"
Ddraig reached behind his back to grab Leviathan but he tightened his grip around his torso. Leviathan latched his jaws onto the other wing, and quickly started releasing more of his ice breath.
Ddraig, missing one wing, quickly felt himself descending. In front of his was his rival and "brother" Albion who was falling in the distance as well. Long gone were Albion's screams, only the lifeless corpse of The Vanishing Dragon was left as they both fell at the same time.
Leviathan, with a the sound of a *CRUNCH*, broke off Ddraig's final wing. Just as Leviathan was about to release himself and teleport away with Asmodeus's help, Ddraig quickly turned with a fiery rage in his eyes.
Ddraig: "AND JUST WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING WORM?!"
With a swift turn, Ddraig grabbed onto Leviathan's head. Ddraig forcefully broke the seal he placed on himself that restricted his original abilities and opened his mouth.
Ddriag: "KNOW THE WRATH OF A MIGHTY DRAGON!"
"BLAZING INFERNO OF SCORCHING FLAMES!"
Ddraig's mouth opened and crimson flames burst forth. Leviathan, sensing the intense heat, opened his own mouth and ice burst forth.
As they continued to fall, their breathes battled with one another. Although, Leviathan's power of the Sin of Envy continued to power him through the struggle, it did little to push back the flames that could reduce anything to nothing but ash. The crushing force of Ddraig's claws on his head did not help his predicament.
Leviathan felt his scales melting and fusing with his organs. His blood boiled and his head felt light due to the crushing force.
Ddraig: "BE CONSUMED BY MY FLAMES!"
With that shout, the flames of Ddraig did a final push that blasted through Leviathan's Serpent head and into the sky above. Leviathan's serpent body went limp and uncoiled itself from Ddraig, but Ddraig didn't bother to brace himself for the oncoming ground.
As Ddraig descended, he merely raised his head and gazed upon the carnage that he created with his breathe.
Up above, Ddraig's flames consumed multiple allied troops and even when it ended, the final breathes of flames exploded and scattered embers.
As the embers slowly rained down on the survivors, they were lit aflame as soon as they touched them.
Ashes then soon began to rain.
Ddraig: "...looks like this is my win, huh, Albion..."
Ddraig chuckled dryly as the corpse of Albion neared him. They both seemingly gazed at the sky as the embers danced their life away. It took all of Ddraig's power to overturn that seal he placed on himself, his wingless back was numb from the cold and most likely his spine was frozen as well.
Ddraig slowly closed his eyes as his life slowly left his body.
Only once he fully closed his eyes did he and Albion impact the ground, shaking the very earth itself with their weight and presence.
In the middle of The Great War between the Biblical Factions, the Legend of the Two Heavenly Dragons was put to rest.
