Jonah woke up to an all-white walled bedroom, with leopard-printed rugs and a king-sized bed with golden sheets. Checking if he was fully clothed, which he was, he panicked and tried to find Emma, who wasn't here with him. Something was definitely wrong. What had happened? All he remembers was...Rowan. DAMN. Rowan cast a spell on both him and Emma...now...where WERE they? At Rowan's house? Fuck. He needed to get out of here, but first, he needed to find Emma. As he tries to open the door, it wouldn't budge.
"Fuck!", he yells as he kicks the door.
Then. An idea. He tried to get the door down. After a few attempts, the door finally broke down and his leg started to cramp. Struggling to walk, he scanned the main hall, which had pictures of him and what seemed to be his whole family. Jonah shuddered. Is THIS what it felt like to be in a dead assassin's house?
Focus, Jonah. Find Emma first. Then kill Rowan.
As Jonah found a near-opened door, he poked his head through the crack and saw a girl with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a white blouse and light-blue jeans. She was applying pink lip-gloss on and was looking at her vanity mirror. God, she was gorgeous...but...
"Hey. Where am I?"
The girl turns and nearly screams but stops. "My, aren't YOU a gorgeous one?"
Jonah mentally rolls his eyes. "Thank you, but I really need some help."
The girl slowly smiles. "Can I be of service...?"
Jonah didn't like the looks of this girl. "What's your name?"
"Rachel. Say...aren't you one of Rowan's friends?"
"Friend is an understatement. What is he to you?"
"My big brother.", she said, twirling her hair.
Good God.
"Listen to me. Your brother cast a spell on me and my friend. Have you seen her?"
Rachel looks at him. "Yea."
"Really...?"
"Come with me."
As she left, Jonah was scared. Should he trust her? She WAS Rowan's sister and he did NOT trust wizards. But, he needed to find Emma. Then, it felt like he heard muffled screaming.
"Emma?"
He looked around to see where the noises were coming from. As he puts one of his ears close, he felt a sharp pain upon his back and soon, his eyes were covered.
