Ron was wandering the halls on his way to lunch. This large blonde wearing a letterman jacket suddenly blocked his path. "So here is the punk that thinks he can dance with my girlfriend."

Ron rolls his eyes thinking so this is Bonnie's boyfriend. Could this be anymore of a stereotype? Ron smiles, does an over the top bow like he is taking a top hat off, and says, "It would be my honor to dance with you as well."

The large blonde says, "We can dance and I will lead." The large blonde makes a fist and winds up to punch Ron. Ron sees this and avoids by bending over a picking up a quarter he dropped earlier. A now more enraged jock is present after being shown up by someone looking at a piece of change and gets ready to punch again. Ron decides to flip the quarter towards the punching hand and says, "Catch". This temporarily slows down the raging jock. Ron then says, "I guess we are not dancing. So what's your name, and how did you get that nice jacket?" Ron decides to ask questions to diffuse the situation, but knows that he messed up when he taunted the jock earlier.

The jock answered, "Brick and I'm the starting quarterback." Ron thought cliche complete. Brick continued, "I'm also the guy that is going to make you regret dancing with his girl." While Brick was saying this Ron moved so that behind him was a door that swung both directions. Ron answered, "Can I give you a piece of advice?" The jock just laughed and swung again. As Ron dodged the big fist he said, "Don't punch with your throwing hand." Bang and crack. Brick's fist hit the door and the jock brought the fist towards his face to look at. Ron interjected, "Second, don't hit doors that can hit you back.'' The door came swinging back and hit the jock's arm which had a fist at the end leading to the jock punching himself and knocking him out. Ron thought I better tell Barkin about this and be ready for more retaliation. No one likes being shown up.

Ron finally made it to lunch and found someone he had met in class, Felix. Felix and Ron started chatting about video games when they were interrupted by Bonnie. Bonnie was trying to get some leverage back on Ron after the dance. She looked at Ron interrupting the boys' conversation and said, "You know where you sit determines where you are on the food chain."

Felix froze and Ron looked at Bonnie and said, "I'm sorry were you talking to us."

Bonnie, annoyed with this mysterious blonde, barked, "Yes."

Ron answered, "You are more than welcome to join us, but you better have some important thoughts on Zombie Mayhem."

Bonnie rolled her eyes, but the look on her face changed to stunned when her blonde friend Tara sat down. Tara looked up and said, "What? I like video games."

Felix and Ron both said, "Awesome"

Bonnie looked at Tara and said, "Come on let's go."

Ron jumped in, "I think that's her call. If she wants to sit here then it's her decision."

Bonnie glared at this new kid and said, "I am on top of the food chain. I decide where my people sit."

Ron smirked, "What's this food chain you love so much?"

Bonnie, frustrated on the verge of making a scene said, "It's the law of the school. It determines who is popular and important. I am on top of it so I can determine who is what."

Ron replied, "That seems like a burden. Maybe you should relax and play some Zombie Mayhem and then you could join us."

Bonnie just storms off to join the rest of the cheerleaders.

Tara, Ron, and Felix start talking about video games until a rumor mill ravenette girl approaches the table with her redheaded friend. "Excuse me." She interrupts the conversation.

Ron turns and says, "You are welcome to join us. I think… You might have to ask Bonnie. I am new here." Felix, Tara, and Monique let out a little laugh to Kim's confusion. Ron was confused why Monique laughed.

Monique sits down next to the new boy and says, "I am Monique and I have a few questions for you."

Ron answers, "I am Ron. Are you a reporter?"

Moniques responded with, "Nope. I am someone that wants to get information confirmed."

Kim now sits down next to Monique realizing this may take awhile.

Ron continues, "Sounds like a reporter."

Monique says, "I am plugged in with the rumor mill here and I am hearing stories about you."

Ron says, "Hopefully nothing bad."

Monique continues, "Is it true that you and Bonnie danced this morning and then you won a verbal exchange with her."

Tara jumped in, "He definitely did."

Kim is now intrigued and thinks If he can get under Bonnie's skin this new guy might be good for this school and me.

Monique followed up, "This one might be too personal, but (Monique gets quieter) are you playing for the other team." Both Kim and Tara lean in for the answer.

Ron chuckled and said, "No. My mom was a dancer and thought it would be something that I should know."

Both Tara, Kim, and Monique silently rejoiced all thinking cute, can dance, and not gay. This guy has potential.

Monique said, "I will kill those rumors."

Ron, shocked, questioned, "I haven't been here a day, how has that spread?"

Monique answered, "Things move quickly, but it is up to people like me to kill the false rumors."

She continued, "Did Brick try to hit you and you knocked him out?"

Kim interrupted with, "What?"

Ron, trying to calm Kim down and explain what happened, said, "Brick was upset that I danced with Bonnie and probably someone told him about the verbal exchange and he tried to hit me, but he ended up punching a swinging door and knocking himself out. I brought him to the nurse and told Barkin what happened and he said the video cameras backed up my story and let me go."

Kim reiterated, "So you didn't fight him."

Ron answered, "No. I just got lucky and he punched the wrong thing."

Monique interrupted, "I heard that you lured him towards the door and told him not to hit swinging doors while he was getting hit with that." This got the attention from the rest of the table.

Ron asked, "Who told you that?

Monique answered, "No one. I saw it."

Ron confessed, "I didn't want to fight and was trying to find a way out of it and the swinging door seemed like a convenient way to get away from it."

Kim thought He has good awareness that if he wasn't getting into fights at school he could be useful on missions.

Tara and Felix were just trying to absorb what they heard. This person won a fight against a jock and bully without throwing a punch.

Monique continued, "Is it true that you won a verbal exchange with Bonnie before I sat down."

Ron answered, "You are good. That just happened and there is no way that you were in the room for that."

Monique gave a confident look and said, "Thanks."

Ron looked at Kim and said, "Hi Ron Stoppable and apparently I am making too much news in this school. And you are?"

"Kim Possible and you really are making a lot of news on your first day."

Ron chuckled and said, "I am learning about how to act here. I was home schooled before this and have not spent much time around other kids my age."

Monique said, "No wonder you took on the Queen B. You don't know you are not supposed to disrupt the food chain."

Ron asked again, "What is this food chain that I keep hearing about?"

Kim jumped in, "It is something Bonnie enforces so that she can lord it over people that she is more popular than them."

Tara jumped in, "It is something Bonnie's older sisters ingrained into her head about how school is supposed to operate."

Ron, still not getting a clear answer, "So what is it?"

Felix answered, "A popularity scale. If you are high on it you are popular. If you are low on it you are not popular. If you don't register then you are probably in the middle."

Ron looked at Felix and said, "Thank you. Can you not be on it?"

The table just shook their heads.

Ron said, "Gotcha." They spent the rest of lunch in a pleasant conversation
