Bonnie wakes up to the wonderful smell of breakfast. As she walks out she has a sly smile on her face knowing she has a question she wants to ask Ron.

Ron, hearing the door open, says "Good morning Bonnie."

"Good morning. I had a question for you."

"Go ahead." Ron tentatively responds seeing the grin on Bonnie's face.

"Why did you give me a pair of your shorts and one of your t-shirts to sleep in? Are you trying to make up for not having a girlfriend by having me dress as one to fulfill some fantasy?"

Run stammers through, "Huh… What … Girls sleep in their boyfriends clothes?"

Bonnie breaks out laughing at him.

Ron stares at her before turning back towards the breakfast he is preparing.

When Bonnie finishes laughing, she says, "I really needed that. And yes, girls wear their boyfriend's clothes to bed sometimes if they are the right size because boys clothes are more comfortable then girl's"

"I am glad you feel better today. I was worried you were not going to sleep well and wake up in a bad mood."

"Now why would I not sleep well and why should I be in a bad mood?" Bonnie ask indignantly

"You were almost kidnapped, you had an awkward call with your family, you are in a strange place, any of those things would put people in a foul mood."

"You make it sound like it is obvious that I should have not slept well and chewed your head off this morning."

"That was what I was expecting. Then I saw that impish grin and I knew something was about to go poorly for me. I am just happy it was you mocking me."

"You're happy about that?" Bonnie inquired

"If the alternative is that you are unhappy then yeah I am okay with the mocking."

"Suit yourself" Bonnie replies as Ron slides her a poached egg on an english muffin with a creole hollandaise and a side of bacon. "That's great."

"Thank you."

After breakfast is done and cleaned up Bonnie turns to Ron and asks, "So what do we do now."

"So your mom called you out of school for today and tomorrow. You might need this." Ron hands Bonnie a new cell phone. "Some people are probably going to be wondering where you are. Some rules."

"Yeah. I know. Don't tell them about you. Don't tell them where I am. Anything else, oh great protector of mine." Bonnie finishes with a sarcastic flare.

"That about sums it up as long as they know you are sick and they can't visit you. Should be okay." Ron stated

Bonnie turns on the phone and sees all her contacts, old messages, missed calls, and wonders How. After getting in touch with a few people and explaining that she is out for the next couple of days she looks to see Ron pacing and asks, "What's wrong with you?"

"I like knowing what is going on, and I can't get updates because then I would want to get involved and if I get involved you would be left alone and that is the one thing I can't do. I do not like not being involved so I am in a state of conflict."

"Okay I will change the subject. Why don't you have a girlfriend?"

Ron blurted out, "What?"

"I know girls are interested in you. You know Tara is interested in you. So why don't you have a girlfriend?"

"It is not like I am not interested. It is that I do not know how long I could commit to dating someone."

"Kim does missions and finds a way to date someone." Bonnie said

"Kim also knows that when a mission is done she is going back to her home. If I get called away for a mission, I may have to stay in another country for a few months. How do you explain to someone that it is not that I don't like you, it's just I have a massive secret I can't tell you about not because I don't trust you but because people's lives are at risk and I may need to be out of reach for days maybe weeks at a time."

"That seems challenging"

Ron adds, "Also, if someone actually finds out who I am and what I am doing. They may go after them."

"Okay so this is a bad topic." Bonnie pauses and pivots to, "So since there is not a good topic. If you were in charge, what would you do?"

Ron answered, "I figure out what level of involvement your dad is in. Hopefully he has some evidence that I can use. I obviously can't convince him to testify because he believes his family is at risk if he does. So I start looking into the organization and figure out who is running it, who is overly eager to run it, and who has access to information."

"Why?"

Ron answered, "I need the head of the organization because unless he is gone, you are in danger. The overly eager person is the perfect fall guy since he is already causing stress."

Bonnie asked, "Why do you want to know who has access to information?"

Ron answered, "People always have more access to information than they should. One person that has access to information and will be the right level of passive and that is the person who you get the information out of."

"What is the right level of passive?"

Ron answered, "If the person is too passive then they are an easy fall guy and the person in charge will think they got turned, and everything is over. If they are too aggressive, then they are also too easy of a scapegoat. You need someone who isn't so passive that someone will believe they gave up evidence, but not too aggressive so that you can make it look like someone more aggressive gave up what we need."

"Sounds like you have thought it through."

Ron nodded and stated, "I had some time last night. I had some trouble sleeping."

Bonnie asked, "Why?"

"After I hurt someone, it takes me a little while to forgive myself."

Bonnie asked, "They were going to hurt me so why are you upset with yourself?"

"Even though I know what I did was the right thing. Part of me doesn't like that I did it. So I needed a distraction and thought about how I would infiltrate and solve the problem. And when that didn't work I meditated for about 20 minutes and found some solace and was able to sleep."

Bonnie continued, "I wish I could meditate myself to sleep. I slept really well for a few hours because of all the events of the day, then woke up for a while and had trouble with all the events. Eventually, I was so tired I fell back asleep."

"I am sorry you didn't rest well. You want to talk about it."

"Not really. I want to ask you more questions."

Ron begrudgingly agreed, "Fine. What do you want to know?"

"You said your mom had you track down and disarm Navy seals. What else did she have you do?"

"I trained with multiple special forces. It was some pretty intense combat training."

"So did they train you to kill?"

Ron answered, "I have firearms training and weapons training if that's what you are asking."

"Have you killed anyone?"

Ron answered, "No. Hopefully I will never have to cross that line, but there is always a weapon on me in case things go the wrong way."

"Always, even at school?"

"Yes. it isn't anything that looks dangerous or that is metal so people won't know."

"What is it?"

"Can't tell you."

"Can't or won't?" Bonnie asked

"Both"

Bonnie glares at him, "Why are you telling me all this?"

Ron answered, "I feel like I know a lot about you and you know very little about me. So I figured I would lessen the knowledge gap. Also, who is going to believe you if you told them about this?"

Bonnie process what Ron told her and asks, "Wait. What do you know about me?"

"I know you love dancing. That your sisters torment you constantly, and that you fear that you may end up like them. Your mom doesn't hide her favoritism towards your sisters. You are your dad's favorite, but he doesn't go out of his way to show it because of how outward your mother is. Although you are dating Brick, you don't really like him. He is more of a human accessory then someone you actually want to be with. You don't like letting people get to know you because you are distrusting of them. You are envious of Kim even though you too are pretty equal in most areas and you have her beat in a few and she has you beat in a few."

"What do you mean equals?"

"You are both equal at school. Sure she may beat you by a small amount, but that is just because she is insecure about how smart her brothers are so she is clawing for those last few points more than you. Cheerleading you are dead even. You are slightly higher on your precious foods chain. You are definitely the better dancer, but she is the better fighter."

"Do you think she could take you?"

"Doubtful."

"Someone is cocky. She knows 16 kinds of kung fu."

Ron counters, "It is not the number of moves, but how you use them."

Bonnie stifles a giggle

Ron continues, "If she fights with a defined pattern or rhythm then I just need to find it and make her fight outside of it."

"Is that it?"

Ron answered, "That is a very simplified version of it."

"So there is no way she could beat you?"

"I guess if she caught me by surprise, I was incapcitated, or at a disadvantage somehow she could, bit in a clean fair fight probably not." Ron pauses and then asks, "Why are you so obsessed with besting her?"

"She is little miss perfect and I want to beat her at something she is good at."

"Why not beat her at not competing?"

Bonnie questions Ron's question, "Huh?"

Ron explains, "She is so competitive that if you don't compete with her she will eventually make a misstep and you will have an advantage."

"I never thought about it that way."

Ron added, "You too are very similar and have most of the same weaknesses. So if you think about what would throw you off your game it probably will get her too."

"Interesting."

After a pause, Ron asks, "Any more questions?"

"What are you making me for lunch?"

Ron answered, "Po boy. The bread should be ready to be baked soon."
