Quick AN: Just to set the record straight, the version of Zuko that I'm using in this story is the one from Legend of Korra, where the scarred Firelord has lived a full life and his daughter now leads the Fire Nation. Just wanted to clear the air there for those of you who probably didn't watch Legend of Korra for one reason or another. (Like if you lost interest after a few episodes, or you just didn't like the sequel to Avatar The Last Airbender in general.) Now, with that out of the way, let's move on to the new chapter of the story and the final part of the Imperial Discoveries chapters!

Disclaimer: I still don't own Danny Phantom or any other franchise used in this story!

Imperial Discoveries Part 3

At a dojo in the Imperial Capitol, a young woman who looked to be about nineteen years old was sparring with a fellow warrior. Looking closely, we can see that she actually has many of the same physical characteristics as the emperor, Danny Fenton, himself. Black hair that spiked in a forward motion but was longer than Danny's used to be and was pulled into a low ponytail in the back, and didn't have that now iconic white streak, icy blue eyes that were the same shape as Danny's, and even the same skin color! Currently, she was dressed in a blue martial arts gi with a red long-sleeve T-shirt under her top, red wrist guards, a red belt, and red tai-chi shoes. On the left side of her gi's top and the back was the Japanese character Ryu, meaning Dragon in the Japanese language, in a circle.

This woman is Danielle 'Dani' Fenton, Danny's adopted little sister and another one of Danny's Generals.

On the third year of Danny's 'disappearance' from Amity Park, Dani had felt something calling out to her. She followed this feeling and was led to the Veil. The young Halfa knew exactly what it was, as it was one of the few things that Vlad had ever educated her on besides brainwashing her into being a pawn for him to make the perfect clone son of Danny, so she knew that nobody had ever returned from beyond that wall of fog alive or in one piece. But she felt compelled to go past this fog and follow the feeling that she had in her heart that seemed to be pulling her to the unknown lands beyond it. So, against her better judgment, Dani flew through the wall of fog and found herself right in the middle of a battle between two armies!

The (at the time) fifteen-year-old Halfa couldn't believe her eyes! People were fighting and dying all over the place, blood being spilled for reasons she didn't know! But what she did know was that she didn't like it! One army was made up of these humans in black and white samurai uniforms wielding swords of all things, some of which changed drastically, while the other had been comprised of what Dani could only call masked monsters of varying sizes and shapes with pitch black holes located in various parts of their bodies, though the most common places where in the chest and stomach areas. There were even some of these humans wearing white and black clothing (totally different color scheme, note the sarcasm) and all of them had fragments of masks on their faces. These ones also wielded blades, but theirs not only changed their form, but also drastically altered their user's physical appearance to take on attributes similar to the monsters they fought alongside!

Leading them was this shifty-looking man with slicked black hair who just had vibes that screamed a great similarity to Vlad. Mainly because his eyes showed this unending lust for power. She could sense how his own blade seemed to have the power to create illusions like some ghosts she's met and fought against in the past.

Then she saw who was leading one of the armies, and slowly defeating the other army.

It was her cousin/brother/DNA template, Danny! And boy, he had really changed since she had last seen him. But she didn't have time to dwell on that, nor did she have time to wonder what he was doing in a place like this as she quickly flew down and repelled a monster that tried to attack her cousin/brother from behind! Naturally, Danny was shocked to see Dani there, but the two of them quickly resolved to talk about the situation later. A lot happened in that battle, but to summarize, the two of them joined forces with the black robed samurai who Dani quickly learned were called Soul Reapers, and Danny led them to victory against the man who was leading the creatures known as Hollows. With Aizen dead and the device he was using to create the Arrancar, the Hogyoku, destroyed in the battle, the Espada saw no reason to remain loyal to him and once the rest of the Hollows had been driven back to Hueco Mundo, they agreed to discuss the terms of a treaty between their two factions. Since the wounds of war were still quite fresh in everyone's minds, both sides had agreed to a non-aggression pact in the beginning. If the Soul Reapers didn't attack the Hollows, then the Hollows would leave the Soul Reapers alone and vice-versa.

Naturally, Dani had some questions for her male counterpart, such as why he was fighting in a war in the first place, but eventually she resolved to join him in unifying the land and became something akin to his second-in-command. And as it turns out, since she was Danny's clone, she actually developed all the same powers as he had when he still had them. And since he had experience with them, Danny decided to help Dani get a handle on her own new powers. Particularly her ultimate technique: the Banshee Scream!

Which is basically a more high-pitched variant of the Ghostly Wail that Danny was known for when he still had his ghost powers.

Currently, Dani was sparring against another of Danny's wives and the master of this dojo. It was the Saiyan warrior known as Fasha. She's rather average height as far as Saiyan females go, and for all intents and purposes looks totally human… if not for the brown monkey tail growing out of the base of her spine, which she keeps wrapped around her waist like a belt to keep enemies from grabbing it. She has fair skin, pink colored eyes, which are an oddity among Saiyans, and short black hair that's flat with cropped spiky style bangs. Her outfit consists of an old style black Saiyan Battle Jacket over a pink leotard style undersuit with a pair of white gloves and boots, a long golden leg warmer on one of her legs, and white leg bands on both of her legs.

Fun fact: Saiyans have a natural weakness that stems from their tails, which are actually highly sensitive and packed with nerves. If someone grabs a Saiyan by the tail, especially if they squeeze it, a Saiyan will become totally immobilized and rendered powerless because of the intense pain they feel from it. However, Saiyans can actually train their tails to the point that this is no longer a real weakness.

And Fasha has done just that.

Now, I know what you're thinking: 'How is Fasha even alive right now? Weren't she and the rest of Bardock's crew killed by Dodoria and his men years ago?'.

Well, the answer is quite simple, really.

Two words: Dragon Balls.

That's right. With Goku's approval, Danny gathered the seven wish granting orbs known as the Dragon Balls, summoned the Eternal Dragon Shenron, and wished the former Low-Class Saiyan warrior back to life. Bardock and the rest of his crew would have been resurrected as well, but they chose to stay in the afterlife rather than being revived.

They were, however, made part of an elite group of warriors created by King Yemma to take down rogue warrior souls if they started causing havoc in the afterlife, since he didn't want another Janemba incident to happen. So, in a way, they were let out of HFIL for good behavior.

Fasha was wary of Danny's intentions at first due to how she was betrayed by Frieza and killed by Dodoria, which was a natural and reasonable response, but over time she got to know Danny better and found herself drawn to him. Now, Saiyans are a proud race of warriors. They dislike fighting weaker opponents, and really love a challenge. And under normal circumstances Saiyan men are only ever attracted to strong women. Well, the same can be said for Saiyan women being attracted to strong men. And it doesn't have to be physical strength, either. It can be mental strength, emotional strength, even spiritual strength!

And because of his training and how hard he continued to push himself even during the war, Fasha found herself falling head-over-heels in love with Danny. Which was only enforced as she got to know him even better than before.

And now, here she is. Married to the man she loves, an empress, and master of a highly successful dojo that has taught many students and helped them flourish into great fighters.

Currently, both Fasha and Dani were sparring in a boxing match as Dani wanted to broaden her arsenal when it comes to close range combat. As she deflected another punch, Fasha was bouncing on the balls of her feet with a confident smirk as her pink eyes were narrowed in concentration.

"So, you think you have what it takes to beat me this time?" Fasha asked.

Dani grunted as she threw some more punches and jabs while bobbing and weaving to dodge Fasha's own, but the grin never left the Saiyan's face as she just did what she does best in situations like these.

And that would be taunting her opponents.

"What's the matter, kid? Too slow?"

Dani didn't let it get to her. She just kept pace with the Saiyan woman as they both continued to trade blows, neither landing a single hit as they were all blocked, dodged, or deflected. Granted, Fasha is holding back a lot, but she's still taking the lesson seriously. Just like she does for all of her students.

'Fasha's been teaching me how to box since I first arrived here,' Dani thought to herself as she and Fasha ended the spar in a draw. 'And she's gotten surprisingly strong, even by Saiyan standards!'

Dani exhaled as she calmed down from the adrenaline high that the spar had brought.

"Thanks for the workout."

"You'll learn the ropes one day, squirt." Fasha said as she jumped out of the ring. "Just keep those hands up."

Removing her gloves, Dani followed Fasha to the small kitchenette where the woman was humming a tune to herself as she prepared one of her post-workout drinks. It was one called Tiger Tonic which she learned how to make from a hero known as Wildkatt. An older generation hero who fought crime with nothing but his fists and sometimes helped Fasha teach her students the fine art of boxing. Dani watched in slight disgust as Fasha loaded up a blender with things like a whole banana, a can of tuna, two drops of hot sauce, and a couple of raw eggs.

Good thing Saiyans have such strong stomachs, otherwise she'd have probably gotten sick after drinking that stuff the first time.

"You know, it's a bad idea to eat raw eggs." Dani said.

Unfortunately, Fasha couldn't hear whatever else she was saying over the blender as her drink was being mixed.

"What's that, Dani? You want a glass?" Fasha asked as the bender stopped.

She quickly filled two glasses with the possibly toxic drink completely oblivious to Danielle's look of utter revulsion of the stuff.

"Tiger Tonic may be a Wildkatt trademark, but it sure has helped me with my own training. Fills you with vim and vigor." said Fasha as she handed the younger girl a glass. "Drink up!"

"Uh… thanks."

As the Saiyan downed her own drink, Dani took the opportunity to dump hers into a nearby potted plant… witch quickly died afterwards as it rapidly shriveled up, turned yellow, and lost its leaves.

"Well, I'll get out of your hair soon enough. I'm sure you have lots more classes to teach." Dani said.

Fasha just set down her now empty glass and sighed as she stared out the window.

"There'll be no more sparring today. Or for the rest of the week. It seems like no one wants to throw hands with this Saiyan anymore." Fasha said, lamenting the recent lack of students.

"Maybe it's good that you had some time off. I know that Danny and the others have been really worried about you, especially after that heart scare." Dani commented.

She was referring to when Fasha first contracted an unknown heart disease that only affected Saiyans. It caused her extreme pain and left her bedridden for weeks! They tried using a Senzu Bean to cure the virus, but it just made it worse! Fortunately for Fasha, Goku had contracted that same heart virus during the war, but thanks to Wakanda's advanced medical technology they were able to synthesize a cure for the virus that fully cured Goku in a week. They had quickly made a batch of the antidote for Fasha and cured her, but she still sometimes suffered from a few lingering side-effects of the virus, since it seemed to have mutated after Goku took the first cure. Even now, Wakandan scientists are working around the clock to find a way to fully cure Fasha and get her back into fighting shape.

But that didn't mean that Fasha liked being told to take it easy.

One thing about Saiyans is that, if anything, they're very stubborn.

"Again, with that retirement talk?" Fasha asked in anger and denial. "I'm telling ya, I'm completely fine! That was nothing but some heartburn. Hot sauce in the Tiger Tonic. There's still too much fight left in this body for me to just hang up the armor."

Dani would have given a retort, but she was cut off by the arrival of a Stealth Force agent.

"My apologies for interrupting, but the emperor requests your presence at the palace. Both of you. We've just captures some intruders from the other side of the Veil, and they're being brought to the palace for possible interrogation." the agent said.

Fasha nodded and replied "We're on our way."

The agent nodded and shimmered away like a ninja while the two girls went to get changed before making their way to the palace. If these people are who they think they are, then this whole situation is going to go so far down south that it'll hit Space Antarctica! If it hasn't already done so!

***Later at the Palace…***

The large van that had been used to transport Vlad, Team Phantom, the Fentons, Valerie, and the GIW agents came to a stop in front of the palace where it quickly backed up and two Stealth Force soldiers opened the back.

"We're here. Everyone, get out. And no funny business." warned one of the men.

Knowing that they couldn't fight their way out of this one, especially since they already tried, everyone just quietly exited the van where they were lined up at the entrance to the palace. It was a truly breathtaking structure for the foreign group. They'd never seen such a remarkable piece of architecture before, combining the best aspects of Feudal Japanese and Medieval English building styles into one! All while keeping all of the modern conveniences!

'Whoever's in charge here sure has it good.' was the collective thought.

"Follow us, interlopers. We'll take you to the throne room where the emperor will meet with you and find out your true intentions." said a familiar cat woman.

That's right: it's Yumi. She was currently dressed in the standard Stealth Force uniform which, like Soi-Fon's own, left the entirety of her back exposed. This was both to make the most of her natural flexibility and to prevent her uniform from being shredded due to the use of a special technique that, under normal circumstances, only members of the Fon and Shihouin clans were allowed to learn. Yumi was one of the few exceptions to this rule.

"Wait a minute, you're that same receptionist from the check-in station!" gasped Maddie who immediately recognized her.

"She also happens to be my Lieutenant and a proud member of the Onmitsukido." Soi-Fon said with that same smirk on her face. "Now all of you come along quietly. The emperor will see you now."

Giving a few members of the group a light shove to get them moving, the Amity entourage followed Soi-Fon and Yumi as they were led to the emperor's throne room. As they walked down the halls, those who had combat experience kept glancing around trying to map out every door and window as a possible means of escape should a confrontation occur. Too bad for them every single one of them was guarded.

"So, how likely is it that we'll actually be seeing the emperor when we get to the throne room?" Valerie asked.

"Oh, quite likely, nya.~" replied Yumi. "His Imperial Majesty just got done with a meeting with the generals of the Imperial Military Council and is awaiting your arrival as we speak."

"I thought that the emperor was the one in charge." Jack inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"He is. But when he was just starting out, he assembled a council of advisors to aid him in managing the empire. He had doubts about leading an entire kingdom despite his exemplary displays of leadership on the battlefield, so he old combat instructors volunteered to act as advisors to help him run the empire until he was confident enough to make the big decisions on his own." Soi-Fon said as they approached a large door with carvings of two dragons circling each other in a taoist yin-yang fashion.

Having been expecting them, the guards at the door simply bowed to Soi-Fon and her Lieutenant before stepping aside and opening the door for them.

"Approach and be recognized by the emperor and his empresses!" exclaimed one guard.

Vlad and the others were pushed into the throne room where they saw a man dressed in a strange form of armor with a mask covering his face and a hood hiding his hair. Clipped to his belt were two metal devices that had the appearance of cylindrical sci-fi style sword hilts. He was sitting on the main throne which was also the most intricate. And there were eight additional thrones in the room that were smaller than the first, but no less intricate. Four on each side. And in each one sat one of the empresses, the wives of the emperor.

Urd was sitting on the throne to the emperor's immediate right and was now wearing her usual attire which was rather fitting for a literal goddess like herself. It was a purple dress that was both stunning and somewhat revealing, but not so revealing that it would be called slutty. She looked on at these intruders with a somewhat bored expression.

To Urd's left was Tayuya, her hair done up in a bun with a pair of decorative chopsticks holding it in place. Her face was done up with a light bit of makeup to accentuate her natural beauty, and she was garbed in one of her royal kimonos which was gold with red dragons printed on it and held closed by a dark red obi sash around her waist. Unlike Urd, Tayuya was openly glaring at these intruders. Both because they entered her home with the intent of infiltration, and because they interrupted her flute practice.

On Danny's immediate left was a young woman with golden yellow eyes, fair skin, and long black hair done up in a topknot held in place by a golden hair clip in the shape of a stylized flame. She had red lipstick on and was garbed in fire themed military clothing that was primarily dark red with black trim and sharp black armor on her upper body. She had this presence of power that demanded respect from those around her, yet she held great humility in her eyes as well. This was Azula, the lost Princess of the Fire Nation.

Next to her was a young woman with dark skin, cyan blue eyes, and long black hair that was done up in a set of three wolftails. She was dressed in an elegant blue dress that hugged her curves and accentuated her figure. This is Korra, the current Avatar and the Waterbender in the current Avatar reincarnation cycle. Though she has her doubts about it being actual reincarnation despite the past Avatars claiming otherwise.

Next to Korra was Fasha who was still in her usual Saiyan armor. She didn't bother to change because she prefers to remain completely battle ready and usually doesn't wear dresses or kimonos or fancy women's clothing like that unless she absolutely HAS to. And even then, she does so under protest!

The remaining three thrones remained empty, as the other three empresses were currently deployed on missions of their own. Mostly missions of diplomacy, but those can change in an instant under certain circumstances which is why they're always prepared for a fight.

"Well, well, well. I didn't think I would see any of your faces ever again, let alone in my empire." said the emperor, his voice slightly distorted by his mask.

Naturally, the Amity entourage was confused by this statement. The emperor has seen them before now? When was that? Wouldn't they remember being in the presence of royalty?

"Um, I'm sorry your majesty, but… do we know you?" Maddie asked, trying to be as respectful as possible.

The emperor chuckled and said "I suppose you wouldn't recognize me by my voice alone. I guess I've changed some in these past seven years."

He reached up and gripped his mask with both hands.

"Allow me to shed some light on the matter."

With a loud hiss of pressurized oxygen being released, the mask was removed to reveal the handsome face of the emperor beneath. And as he lowered his hood, Vlad, the Fentons, Team Phantom, and Valerie recognized the emperor right away for who he was.

"Danny?" they gasped.

Danny smirked and said "I've been expecting you all."

Vlad couldn't believe his eyes. Danny, the little badger as he so often called him, was the emperor of this grand empire? It was outrageous! Totally unexpected! It was so shocking of a revelation that only one thought crossed Vlad's mind in that moment.

'Oh butternuts!'

***To Be Continued…***

Ending AN: When you read about Danny's armor, picture the Armor of Darth Revan from the SWTOR computer game. Look it up if you don't know what it looks like. Anyway, guys and girls, that's it for this chapter. But come back next time to see just what Danny does when Vlad finally gets around to asking for help with Amity Park and the rest of the world's ghost troubles. It might seem a little predictable but trust me when I say that next chapter is still going to have its share of twists and turns! Thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!
