My maid is rich right?!
Izuku and Momo were staring at each other in confusion and disbelief.
'Why is Yaoyorozu a maid?! Isn't her family like ridiculously rich?!'
'Why would Midoriya order from our service? I-Is he a closet pervert?!' The thing that Yaoyorozu forgot was that due to her shock, she was still in that neko-maid pose with her paws up.
"Y-Yaoyorozu, what are you doing here? Also, you can put your, er, paws down." He scratched his cheek, looking away as he pointed out that she was still posing for him.
Momo grew flushed cheeks before quickly putting her hands down, trying to recompose herself with a flustered scowl at him. "I should be asking you that! Why did you order our service, and for that matter how did you find out about it!"
Izuku stiffened, 'I can't tell her that I got the idea from Mineta, she'll kill me and then him!' He let out a nervous laugh as he did his best to tell the truth but not all of it. "Welp, I got this flier a-and since my mom is overseas with my dad, I figured I could use the help. Actually, it's not that I 'could' use the help, but actually that I really do need the help, it's been taking a toll on my body."
Momo had her arms crossed under her bust, hearing out his explanation with a raised eyebrow. She closed her eyes in thought after he finished, and then let out a trusting sigh, meaning she believed him.
"I suppose it was simply a matter of time before one of my classmates found out. We might as well be professional about it." Yaoyorozu uncrossed her arms and opened her eyes, walking into his home, not even waiting to be invited in. Izuku opened the door wider and stepped aside to let her in and then closed the door, looking at her as she surveyed her surroundings. "This place is a mess. You really are hopeless Midoriya." She let out another sigh, but this one was of disappointment.
'What, but I thought I did a good job.' But Izuku wasn't about to tell her that he was recently rushing around trying to clean as best he could. 'Although Yaoyorozu does have high standards, I guess she would make a good maid... Wait, why is she a maid?' Izuku ruffled the back of his hair, with a chuckle before saying, "Y-Yeah, I guess. This place has been kinda falling about, I spend so much time patrolling and studying I barely have time."
She nodded with a huff. "I'll cut you some slack, but only because of how much of yourself you've sacrificed for everyone else. But a proper hero should be able to take care of themselves as well as others."
Izuku sagged his shoulders letting out a breath of defeat. "I have always had a problem with that, huh?"
"Well, no matter that's why I'm here, right?"
"Um, Yaoyorozu, why are you here? I m-mean why are you a maid? Isn't your family-,"
"That's none of your business!" She snapped.
Izuku's eyes went wide. He glanced to the side in thought before returning his eyes to her with a small wince. "S-Sorry I didn't mean to..."
Momo gasped, realizing she just had a small outburst. She cleared her throat. "No, it's quite alright. I'm the one who should be apologizing, that was not proper of me. Although don't worry about it Midoriya, I'm just working for the experience."
Izuku wanted to believe her but also realized it was best if he just let it go, for now at least. "Oh, that makes sense, you used to take care of us at the dorms. Your tea was always the best!" He gave her his trademark sunshine-freckled smile to lighten up the atmosphere.
"Oh, Midoriya," Momo grew that same expression of gratitude that she had during their first year when everyone asked her to tutor them. "I'll go make some tea, right away!"
"Oh, okay, let me show you where we keep everything. A-Also the only thing that really needs cleaning are the dishes." He explained as he showed her where everything in the kitchen was, "If you want, I can help."
"Nonsense. You hired our services so you can rest up right? And as your classmate, I would rather you recover your stamina, especially after how hard we fought to make sure you got the rest you were running away from." She was referring to the time when Izuku had to leave U.A. and the class had to fight him to bring him back. 'Even then you didn't want to take care of yourself, you were simply concerned for everyone else.' At this point Yaoyorozu was shoving Midoriya out of his own kitchen, insisting he relax in the living room. 'Seriously why does Midoriya always treat his own well-being as unimportant when compared to everyone else... Doesn't he understand how important he is?'
"Okay, okay, I get it. Thanks." Izuku chuckled because, despite the fact that Yaoyorozu seemed to be slightly annoyed at him, he thought it was sweet that Momo was acting like how she did at the dorms, nowadays they didn't hang out as much.
"Hm, what's got you laughing." After she finished shoving him away, she had her hands on her hips, waiting for his answer.
"I'm sorry, it's just I never thought of you as a maid before, but you're actually really good at it huh? I feel like we're back at the dorms. I bet you have a lot of customers request you." He honestly thought that because it had only been a short while but he already felt rejuvenated simply around Momo. His cheeks grew a tinge of blush but he didn't know why.
"Eh? Me? Customers?" Momo's agitated expression faltered and in its place was one of confusion. He honestly thought she was good at her job? Why? She hadn't even done anything yet so why did his complement feel so earnest. 'I can't let him know I don't have any loyal customers, it will be a poor reflection on me!' She coughed to hide her blushing cheeks before turning around, heading back to the kitchen as she replied so he couldn't see her reddening face. "Well, yes our service does have many customers and it's t-true that I am one of the most requested, i-its lucky you got me." But in truth, she was the only available because no one ever requests her.
"Really? Then I hope it won't be too difficult to get you next time."
Momo paused in front of the sink, turning to the living room. "N-Next time?" Momo couldn't believe it, was he asking to be a personal client?
Izuku didn't know why but he suddenly grew embarrassed. He had to scratch his cheek and look away as he said, "Y-Yeah, I mean if that's okay with you... B-But if you want I'll ask for someone else and we can pretend this never happened."
Momo shook her head. She thought about it for a moment and decided to say it like a proper Neko-maid.
"Don't worry, you'll always be a priority for me, Master!"
