A/N

So for years, I have had so many requests to finally do a Buffy Supernatural crossover and well...I'm finally doing it!
I hope you all enjoy this, I've put a lot of thought into how this story was going to play out.
Disclaimer: I own nothing, not Buffy nor Supernatural.

A HUNTER'S FAVOUR TO THE SUMMERS FAMILY

2005: TWO AND A HALF YEARS POST THE DESTRUCTION OF SUNNYDALE, CA

CARPINTERIA, CA_SIX MONTHS AGO

It had been 2 and a half years since the destruction of their home since The First was sent crawling back into hell; now after all that time, things for the Summers sisters had finally settled. Between, Big Bads, bad relationships, and a disastrous year in Scotland which included so much drama that the two sisters still had nightmares about it. Buffy mainly, given Dawn had at one point turned into a freaking giant and kept threatening to squish her.

But now things were good, almost normal.

Now over 2 years later a now 24-year-old Buffy and a 19-year-old Dawn had returned to California for a reason neither of them would ever have expected...a new edition to their family.
Their father had remarried 3 years ago and now the two sisters shared a newborn baby brother.

Christopher John Summers.

He was 6 months old today and probably the cutest thing either of them had ever seen. And while Christopher being born was a happy occasion there was also a darkness to it, their father's new wife, Christopher's mother passed away from complications just days after their brother's birth, hence their return. Their father had been distraught and struggling to balance: his life, his grief, and a newborn, it had been so long since he had a baby and he never imagined he would be doing it all over again, let alone by himself.

However he wasn't, the two girls had packed up and moved in to help, Dawn transferring to UCLA, staying on campus most of the year but back for most weekends and holidays. Buffy while still patrolling and trying to keep her new town safe was now following her mother's footsteps working at a small art gallery during the day. Hell despite the odd vampire and demon killing, things were pretty much normal...well more normal than they ever had been.

"I think my favorite part of his work is the way his stokes tell a story." Buffy tells the prospective buyer as she gestures to the new painter they had just gotten in from a new artist "The battle between good and evil and the way the strokes move into a middle ground, showing the more grey area of morality." Pausing the blonde smiles at the piece before focusing back on the couple who were smiling at the painting "I'll give you a moment."
With that, the blonde turns, and her heels click loudly against the floor as she walks over to the front desk circling around she takes her seat before sighing as she spots the phone ringing, where the hell was the damn intern?

Looking around she huffs as she couldn't spot him anywhere, he was probably hiding in the back again, one older lady yells at him and he cries and runs. God only knows how bad his reaction would be to a vampire.

"Coopers Gallery how may I help you"

"Hi, Sweetie."

"Hi, Dad." The blonde says with a smile, it was strange, for years their relationship had been estranged especially after her mother's death, but after the destruction of Sunnydale, Natalie his wife had really pushed him to get back in contact with his daughters. Honestly, Buffy had to admit, she did really like Natalie, for one she was age-appropriate, after his dalliance with his assistant the blonde had thought he would never get out of his mid-life crisis, but then Natalie came around. "I'm at work everything okay?"

"Yeah, fine...my business trip got extended till Monday will you and Dawn be okay with Chris?"

Buffy sighs before glancing at her calendar, however, luckily she could exhale in relief, Dawn didn't head back to school till tomorrow "It's fine dad. Dawn got Chris tonight and I'm off work tomorrow. We'll be fine."

"Thank you so much. Alright, I gotta go. See you Monday."

"Alright bye." And with that the blonde hangs up before running a hand through her shoulder-length blonde hair, it was still so strange to her how much her life had changed since Sunnydale. But honestly, she had never been this happy, not in a long time.

"Dawn just give him the bottle!" Buffy yells over the phone as she ducks out of the way from the vampire that leaped at her head, as she ducks she turns her head and winces at the sight of the way the vampire goes flying headfirst into a gravestone, she couldn't help but hiss at the sound of his head hitting the stone, that's gotta hurt.

"Buffy, I didn't come here to babysit! I came to do laundry and still money out of your wallet!"

Buffy groans in annoyance and stands, quickly jumping onto the tombstone swinging out her leg kicking another vampire in the face as he runs at her. Sighing she lifts her phone back to her eat and groans "Just do it. And Dawn if there is any money missing from my wallet when I get back, I'm going to post all those photos of you dressed as mini mouse drunk all over the internet understood?"

Dawn grumbles loudly under her breath before finally huffing "Ugh fine! But I'm sleeping in your bed it's nicer than the couch."

"Hey! Dawn—" The blonde's eyes widen as the line goes dead, she couldn't help but scoff, she was going to kill her, and when Chris was old enough she was going to tell him all the ways to kill Dawn himself.

"You little Bi—" The blonde is cut off as a third vampire leaps at her tackling her off the tombstone, the blonde groans as she goes rolling across the muddy floor, could this day get any worse!?

Pulling herself up she twirls the scythe in her hands and places her phone into her pocket before facing the vampires currently circling her "Bring it, boys."

As the first vampire runs at her the blonde swings her leg out to the side shoving it into the vampire's gut as he drops to the ground she swings the same leg round again slamming it onto his face sending him face-first into the mud.

Spotting the other vamp leaping for her, she ducks under his arm, as she comes up behind him she swings her leg at his neck before flipping the scythe in her hand, as she catches the handle she swings the axe at his head before quickly leaping into a side Ariel out of the way from the third vampire.
As she lands she spins her leg around her foot connecting hard with his face, the vampire growls before backhanding her across the face, the blonde stumbles before spitting the blood out of her mouth, "I make sales with my smile asshole!" She yells as she drives her fist into his balls before swinging around the scythe cutting him in half from the head down.
Huffing she turns to the vampire who was still on the floor and twirls the scythe in her hand before driving the stake into his back. As his body turns to dust she sighs, she really needed to get some sleep, her quipping was not as good as it used to be.

"Dawn?" Buffy calls as she locks the front door and dumps her weapons bag on the floor of the dark hallway before throwing her jacket on the couch as she enters the living room.

Sighing realizing she was asleep the blonde heads into the kitchen and reaches into her dad's liquor cabinet, pulling out the bottle of bourbon the blonde pours herself a very large glass before taking a nice sip.

She had to admit she had picked up drinking a bit more in the past few months, between working 70 hours a week, helping her dad with Chris, Slaying plus making Dawn's college payments on time...she felt like she had gone from 24-44 in the space of a few months.
Taking her glass she begins to head upstairs, placing the glass on the side table by her brother's room she yawns loudly before quietly walking inside of her brother's room and she couldn't help but smile at the sight of her adorable sleeping brother. While listening to twinkle twinkle little star on repeat all night was not so great she did love him.

She never would have expected to have another sibling, especially one 24 years younger than her.

Placing his blanket over him she smiles down at him before carefully heading out the room, closing the door as carefully as she can she picks up her glass before heading down the hall to her room. Walking into her bedroom the blonde downs the rest of her bourbon before throwing herself onto her bed closing her eyes she soaks into the mattress for a few moments before sighing. She really needed to shower and get the vamp dust off her.

However, the idea of a shower was quickly swiped from her brain as she feels something wet drip onto her forehead, the blonde groans in annoyance assuming it was another leak in the pipes, sighing she opens her eyes only for them to go wide in horror and a loud scream to escape her lips.

"Dawn!" The blonde screams as she stares up at her sister, she was pinned to the ceiling her eyes wide open blood covering her throat from where it had been slit.

The blonde jumps up from the bed and tries to get to her sister only to jump back and land on the floor as Dawn's body suddenly goes up in flames "Dawn!" She cries in horror before panic fills her as the flames begin spreading around the room "No!" She screams again as tears stream down her face before her eyes widen as the ceiling begins giving out and the window shatters as the fire begins spreading rapidly.

Panic fills her and as smoke begins filling the room she pulls herself out of the room only for her eyes to widen as she spots the fire spreading out into the hall "CJ." She breaths in worry before running down the hall to her brother's room. Grabbing her brother she picks him up before running as fast as she can downstairs, grabbing her weapons bag she gets them both outside and out onto the front lawn.

As she holds onto her now screaming brother the blonde turns her head staring in horror as their house burns to the ground with their sister inside.

Buffy drops to her knees sobbing loudly before with her spare hand she reaches for her phone and dials her dad's number.

"Dad...Dawn's dead."
