Through the Fire

The sensation was not excitement but fear,

The fear that you get when something bad is near.

But this is far worse than you've ever imagined,

Two cruel green eyes, hungry and maddened.

The ones that he'd cut down lay at his feet,

Their hearts would never again pump and beat.

I couldn't see much through the flames and the smoke,

But what I did see was the deaths of all the town's folk.

This is Sephiroth, Sephiroth, Sephiroth,

Long silver hair that looks as silky as cloth.

Sharp green eyes that laugh at you inside,

They make you buckle, and want to run and to hide.

He destroyed my hometown, Nibelheim it was,

I don't understand him, but I think it is because:

He wants to be a god, a ruler and a king,

He'll destroy anyone, anyplace or anything.

This is Sephiroth, Sephiroth, Sephiroth,

Long silver hair that looks as silky as cloth.

Sharp green eyes that laugh at you inside,

They make you buckle, and want to run and to hide.

He'll be with his mother, Jenova is her name,

To kill, to rule, to dominate is their game.

And there he stood, was that a sneer I saw?

And then he turned, the flames as his door.
