honestly, I've fallen down the rabbit hole of my so-called endgame and I keep going here every time I write about the next chapter. It kills me how long there's been from the recent one-ch story to the end. But I can do whatever I want and I'm gonna continue from "endgame" ch, however, the story will still continue from "new life on mewni" it will just take much longer.

There was very busy at the Butterfly castle. Maids rushing to sweep an extra time and the cooks putting their finishing touches on the feast that would satisfy the important royalties of Mewni. Every patrolling guard had nicely polished armor and walked with extra oomph.

In the teleportation room, you wouldn't ever guess it would be just that with the giant decorated horseshoe table with many fancy chairs. Twenty-two seats in total. Star had asked for there only to be twenty-one seats as the Monster kingdom only had a widowed queen, but Eclipsa insisted on the extra seat.

Star stood in the room ready to greet and welcome any guest that could be coming at any minute now. "Alright people! Good work but you must all be going now."

Star is dressed in an elegant blue dress with her hair flowing down her shoulders. She was quite simply stunning. It wasn't common for her to be dressed so elegantly and so all took just one last look before they left for good.

Soon the place was bare except for her. She wasn't really nervous about the many royals that would be visiting, but more of the semi-fake threat that would be the topic. She was now very conflicted. Before she had no hesitation as they could end Mewni, but now knowing the truth she had the sick and disgusting want for them to stay and keep Mewni occupied.

They came 4 months ago. A band of marauders that terrorized the people of Mewni. They were ruthless as they left people's homes in ruin. Not even domains were safe as the castle Avarius fell to them. She felt slightly sorry for them as they had restored their ruined castle not too long before they came and had to return to their house in the forest of certain death. They would most likely not come, hell she didn't even know if they are alive, but she had a seat for them anyway.

Two people entered the room and she knew without even looking that they were her parents. The retired monarch to the butterfly kingdom. "Hi, Mom and Dad. So what do you think? Everything good?"

Her mother had a pleased smile along with her father, "Star it's perfect. We know it's not been easy but you are doing very well."

"Exactly, listen to Mooncake. But don't be afraid to ask for help. I may be old but I do have a few nuggets of wisdom left in me."

"Thanks, but it should be about time for the meeting to begin. So grab some welcome drinks."

Moon and River each took a glass and filled it with the refreshing and light drink that Star had in a giant pot. "Star I must say that this welcome drink is just delightful."

" It really is, but the name is very odd. Can it only be used to welcome guests?"

"I don't know, it's just something I learn from Earth parties, but I don't see why you couldn't drink it all night."

"You better not River," Moon warned her husband.

River just smiled and laughed, "No worries my dear. I wouldn't be caught dead being drunk with Rock," the last part he spits with aggression.

Moon consoled River and Star returned to oversee everything just one more time. Everything was in place and nothing was missing. Candles were lit and a pleasant breeze was felt throughout the room. She was about to go and check the maids that were ready to serve once she gave the signal-

A portal opened in the room and out came King Larry Kelpbottom and his queen Lea Kelpbottom of the Waterfolk kingdom along with two guards who she recognized. They had been representing the Waterfolk kingdom during the great tournament.

"Greetings Larry and Lea, I hope you are all doing well?" With a flick of her hand did she float two cups and scooped some welcome drink for the two royals.

"Thank you, Star. We have been well despite the blight that is those savage barbarians."

"It's a blight that is a scorn for us all. However, I hope- no I'm certain we will dispel them from our dimension sooner rather than later."

"We will pray for that. We really do..." The water people quietly take a sip from their offered drink.

"Oh, before I forget I'll have to thank you for your shipment of seafood. They've become rather popular here and it's really no wonder," Star held her cup up to make a small toast.

"It's nothing really. We are allies and need to help each other, especially with the threat on the horizon."

"Larry, we will have ample time to discuss them later. Let's enjoy ourselves for now," Larry smiled awkwardly and apologized for souring the mood. Moon and River approached the three and began to talk idly while the rest of the royals arrived.

The next who arrived were Queen Spiderbite and her daughter Penelope and of course their guards. The next ones to come were the following Kings and Queens of the remaining kingdoms of Mewni there were a few exceptions. The Pigeon kingdom where Rich came too and Jaggs from the Jaggy kingdom. All but two were present.

The Avarius family didn't come as expected and the last was the newest kingdom, the Monster kingdom led by Eclipsa the queen of darkness. It wasn't a surprise out of all four meetings she would always be the last.

It mattered little as the meeting was quite lively with her father and King Pony Head having rather loud storytelling of their prime golden days. None had voiced their complaints. She was content with staying outside of conversation as she needed a small break from greeting and talking with each royal house.

"You looked tired. Hard to set the castle?"

Looking to her left she saw Prince Tom, "Yeah it isn't exactly a relaxing activity hosting for great guests such as yourself."

"oh man, you definitely need a break tomorrow. You sound like Queen Spiderbites."

Star shook her head with displeasure, "Politics are really rubbing off on me and is annoyingly hard to get off. But it's necessary as the current queen."

"I guess it really is hard to become the ruler of a kingdom. Kinda makes me worry," the tone of his voice matched his insecure feeling about the future. She could sympathize she had been there herself when she first became queen herself.

"I'm sure you'll be fine. Besides, when you become the ruler we can vent to each other," Star joked.

Tom held his drink up for a little toast, "We can be venting buddies then."

"Cheers."

The two talked about their recent development with Star and her administrative advances and Tom about his demonic arts. They half-heartedly promised to spar with each other, but with the amount of work the invading forces created it would have to be on hold for a long while.

Somewhere Pony Head joined the relaxing and informal conversation. It would seem that none had taken the formal ethics more hurtful than herself. "B-fly I can't take this anymore. I want to party and not be mingling with these old mares."

Star resisted the urge to roll her eyes, "it's been 10 minutes since the meeting started."

"Girl you're making me depressed right here. If it's only been 10 min I guess I'll just die."

Star smiled at her best friend, even with Mewni being at the boiling point she had never changed. It's an oddly admiring and courageous quality.

The lively atmosphere died as a single portal opened. Out came the Queen of darkness and a single personal butler. "Greetings esteemed fellow royals of Mewni."

There were a few moments of silence and could you blame her that she was among them? Eclipsa looked gorgeous as always with her Earth-inspired dress but Marco had drawn the most eyes even hers. Normally Eclipsa would be in focus as she didn't make any effort to hide her hands and forearms.

It wasn't that he was dressed spectacularly impressive it was the opposite. Normally he would be wearing a decorated elegant suit with slick hair and he would be at most a handsome butler that served a royal.

The one who escorted Eclipsa wasn't just a mere butler but they knew that he was the usual butler as he had his face on display. He wore battle-hardened armor but his posture was still on point. He held Eclipsa's hand even when she had made it through and bowed slightly to her.

Star collected herself and stepped forward, "Great to see you're doing well Eclipsa, but do you really need to be fashionable late?"

"I apologize but I had to prepare something important for this meeting," Eclipsa used her non-occupied hand and stifled a rude smile.

Star raised a curious brow and leaned closer, "Could I acquire to what that might be?"

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to wait for when the meeting truly begins," there was a slight tease in her voice as she showed her small smile.

"I'll be waiting in suspense then but speaking of suspense. How come Marco isn't in his usual attire?"

"Why don't we ask the gentleman himself?"

Marco now had the direct focus of everyone in the room. He was calm as always and leisurely kissed her hand before letting it go earning him a disgusting response. It wasn't a new gesture but the hand he kissed was so veiny and contaminated it still irked the royals.

"First I will apologize for us being late as I'm to blame." It was a slightly loud statement as it was directed at everyone, but not so loud that if you didn't pay attention you wouldn't be interrupted.

He then directed his attention to Star and bowed to her, "Queen Star I'm sorry to disappoint but there isn't a reason for my armed attire. I'm her highness's close servant but also her loyal protector." He bowed deeply before returning to Eclipsa's side.

Every royal family greeted her as it was a courtesy. Marco stood silently as Eclipsa did her formalities. His attention was grabbed by a guard who he recognized was from the Jaggy mountains based on the kingdom's unique armor's crest.

"So you aren't just a pretty face outsider?" The provocation was clear and he properly should take it as her being spiteful, but from what he knew and what he felt it would seem she was curious to test his sword.

He spared her a side glance "I wouldn't mind a spar if our esteemed leaders would allow so."

"I wouldn't mind a bit of entertainment before the meeting truly begin," Eclipsa had heard the quiet probing of the battle-loving Jaggy knight. She turned her gaze on the king and queen of the Jaggy kingdom, "Would you allow a friendly spar?"

"That's an odd request. Why do you want a spar?"

The female knight bowed very deeply, "it's by my request. I'm sorry for acting so rude." She also bowed slightly to Eclipsa as an apology.

"very well, we will allow the spar."

Star had been observing the events step by step and now watched as Marco and Eclipsa had a wordless conversation. She could see that Marco wasn't thrilled about the development. The smile he had for Eclipsa would fool most but not her and the slight teasing smile by Eclipsa certainly made it clear.

Star felt the need to step in, not solely to help Marco but also to be a little petty to Eclipsa for leaving her curiosity unsatisfied. "How about we wait for the spar until we are eating? The meeting should be on the way unless it should carry on the next day."

All gave small confirmations in agreement and a grateful nod from Marco. It would be terribly rude to the Butterfly kingdom if the guests were to disregard the host's reasonable decision.

So the meeting truly began. The royals found their seats with each of their guards behind them. The seats for Avarius and the one beside Eclipsa were bare.

"Marco, take a seat," Eclipsa motioned for him by tabbing the chair beside her. The other royals and guards would be surprised if she hadn't asked for the same as the three other meetings.

"I couldn't possibly. I'm just a humble servant my queen."

"Nonsense, you are so. much. more." Eclipsa said with the tenderness that was so unbecoming of a queen. It was a tone that should be contained to one's own private time and possible chamber.

"my queen, doesn't it already have a certain someone for it?" They were taken aback by his comment. Has she found a husband? That thought seemed to be on everyone's mind besides the two who knew the truth.

"No," the look Marco had was one of curiosity. After all, if she didn't choose to introduce Globgor then he would just continue tormenting Mewni until the kingdoms unified for the purpose of expelling him.

"But you are right there is a certain someone. However, he's just another dear servant like yourself, but it would seem you've been spoiled too much," Eclipsa smiled coldly at him.

"Uuuuuu, someone's getting the cold shoulder!" The loud voice belonging to Pony Head. Her father sighed loudly but otherwise remained silent.

Marco used the distraction from Pony Head and gave her the stinky eye before he got on one knee with his head down, "I beg for your forgiveness, it was a thoughtless comment."

"Is that all? I guess I really am too lax with you," Her voice was still disapproving but he could practically feel the hidden smug smile she wore.

He could feel the atmosphere of the room thickens at the anticipation of what would happen. With the reputation that Eclipsa did they imagine the cruelty he would undergo, some even felt glee at his fate.

He raised his head and his hand ready to receive her, "I will accept any punishment you so desire, my queen."

The cold fury that her face portrayed melted and under it was a beautiful smile, "lovely self-judgment and I have just the punishment in mind, but it'll have to wait until it's more private," she placed her hand in his own and he gently held her four fingers.

River nudged to his wife at the sudden change and whispered, "Moonpie, do you think there's a deeper meaning when she offers the seat to him?"

"Whatever you desire," he kissed her hand and returned behind her as any guard should.

"I don't think her monsters would tolerate that, but I could picture him being a consort."

Star heard her parents and they weren't the only ones, but she had to take control and get this meeting started, "I think enough time has been wasted. So allow me to start with the information that I've found a new encampment of theirs."

"Another one?" "Didn't we just raze one a week ago?"

Star raised her voice over the comments, "the point is what that encampment means."

"THEY ARE DOING ANOTHER RAID!" Prince Rich said in his loud and deep voice.

"You are correct, it's located northeast of here in the forest of certain death. I believe they are targeting the monster kingdom, the Johansen kingdom, or my Butterfly kingdom."

"They can come if they want! We'll kill them all and feed them to our warnicorns!" King Rock declared out loud.

"Seem like a waste," Eclipsa commented. King Rock turned his aggressive face to her, but the one who spoke was Star.

"Eclipsa is right. We finally found them before they commenced their raid. I say we act preemptively and not reactively for a change." Star took a quick glance around and found none of the other royals opposing.

She took an extra moment and studied Marco. When their faces met he simply smiled politely. This would be an instance where she couldn't read anything from him.

"I propose we simply deal with it as always."

The solution was simple but effective. All the kingdoms that aren't vulnerable will send their elite forces while the closest kingdoms will be the bulk of the subjugation army ready to march. It would allow the kingdoms to be safe while dealing with the enemy.

That being said, the times the kingdoms helped without complications would be none. "Star we suffered quite a lot in the last clash we had, but we will send an appropriate force, however, we lack the force to reinforce all three kingdoms." Star resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the Spiderbite queen.

"You should save us all some time and just introduce Globgor," Marco whispered in her ear.

Eclipsa raised her hand to remove his face like he was an annoying fly. The gesture made him return to his guard duties. The only kingdoms that didn't make an excuse were the Butterfly kingdom, the Pigeon kingdom, the Waterfolk kingdom, and the Lucitor kingdom.

"Lovely almost 40 minutes we could have avoided," Marco whispered to her again.

Eclipsa raised her hand to remove his face and actually made contact with her backhand. "Be quiet," she reprimanded him.

Star and some of the others who had watched the two during the other kingdoms' excuses wondered what kind of joke he told as Eclipsa seemed to enjoy herself quite a bit after his repeated whispers.

Eclipsa stood with her business face on, "Before anyone promises me any aid I have an important development to share." She looked at the various royals and was nervous to speak. This was somewhat reminiscent of when Meteora was born. She was going to trust Mewni.

"Globgor is back."

One second passed... then two... then ten, but no reaction was given. They were like frozen in time. Marco looked at the suspenseful Eclipsa and sure enough, time wasn't frozen. Sitting she had her hands properly intertwined as she sat and waited. He saw her veins slightly pulsating or more specifically lightly shining.

The sounds of breaking glass were heard and like a broken dam that's been holding on for dear life, it just flowed. "WHAT!" "The Mewman eater?!" "King of the monsters?"

"We must seize him immediately," the one who spoke was none other than King Ponyhead.

"No, he has assimilated into my kingdom. He's not an enemy and will be a much-needed help to dispel the invaders."

"That's a very convenient excuse. In fact, why haven't we heard about him before?" Spiderbite kingdom had always been hostile to the newest added kingdom to Mewni. Unfortunately wasn't she the only one who feared or hated the Monster kingdom.

"Because he was just found recently. But it doesn't matter when or how, what matters is that he's sworn loyalty and become my second in command. He's not the enemy."

"Please we don't even know if you're not the enemy?" The queen of Jaggy mountain commented.

"Queens!" Star shouted and got the focus of everyone," Sorry for raising my voice, but we can't fall apart now. I understand if you are worried, but it's clear that there's a bigger threat than Globgor."

"You are too young to know the power he possesses. He's a threat that cannot be allowed to flourish. Have you forgotten the rampage that befell by their offspring?"

Star was outraged by her reply and the boring meeting was now thick with tension and hostility. The one that Marco had his eyes on where Eclipsa. He couldn't see her face but he could feel the rage in her soul. He got his hand on his sword like every guard was at the moment.

"Queen Spiderbite," the name is spoken with potent venom, "Need I remind you that it was I who resolved and ended the rampage. He's serving me and if he was the enemy then I would be the enemy and if I was... You would be dead."

"Protect their majesties."

The guards of the Spiderbite kingdom and Jaggy mountain drew their weapons. Marco took a step forward and drew his own. He was now beside Eclipsa and had a clear view of her pulsating black veins. His free hand was on his dimensional scissors ready to cut a portal at a moment's notice.

"Stop! We can't be divided like this!"

"It's clear on what side you have chosen. Then again you've always been oddly friendly with the witch who mothered an abomination." The royals of the two kingdoms rose from their seats.

"We abandon this temporary alliance," The King of Jaggy mountain said in his deep voice.

"We are leaving as well," so the two kingdoms left. The down mood and tense air were uncomfortable and it didn't lessen as he sheathed his weapon.

The king of the Waterfolk rose, "my kingdom has always been neutral on Mewni's internal affairs and so we will also leave the alliance and remained neutral. I repeat we don't share any stance with Spiderbite or Jaggy."

All Star could do was give a terse nod, she somehow managed to keep a straight face. Her face did darken as King Pony head also declared his will to leave.

It was a logical decision his kingdom was safe from the common raids and he could save his army and stand better if Eclipsa ever became an enemy.

Queen Lucitor shared somewhat the ideals that the Waterfolk people did, "My wife said we aren't abandoning the alliance. We will only support any endeavors regarding the alien marauders, however, we won't be helping-"

"There's no need. The Monster kingdom also leaves the alliance, perhaps then it can end the other royals' fear tantrum."

She raised her hand and Marco took it, he didn't mind the pulsating hot hand. He didn't spare a single moment to open a portal and gracefully guided her through. He turned and gave one last polite smile before he also left.

On the other side of the portal was his small rented house in the Monster kingdom. Eclipsa stood in the middle of the room, he barely had enough space to close the portal as she hadn't moved since coming here.

"Well, that-"

Marco was quieted as Eclipsa hammered his chest with baled-up fists. She rested her forehead on her hands as tears fell down, "It's so bloody frustrating..."

"I know." His voice was calm and gentle. He embraced her, pulling her closer to him, "I know..."
