Bloom Potter-Chapter 2

"Chapter 2: Finding Bloom" Severus Snape said, getting the book and opening it to the correct page.

Hagrid gets to the lighthouse the latest letter for young Bloom Potter is addressed to, thinking about how McGonagall nearly had a fit at both the amount of letters that had been written for the girl…and the first address.

"Um, no offense to you Hagrid but why is he the one to introduce Bloom to the wizarding world? When it was always one of the professors who did it instead?" Charlus asked.

"Yes, I am wondering about that as well, but also I am wondering why professor McGonagall is worried about her letter? Or should I say letters?" James asked, looking worried. Nobody had a clue so they all became silent to hear the story that will most likely give the answers to the questions asked. They would have asked Izaya but she would have said that they would get the answer if they just read the story.

The Cupboard Under the Stairs.

It was as silent as a grave. They all hoped that they had heard wrong. That the heiress of an ancient and noble house wasn't living under the stairs in a cupboard. But there was no mistaking it, the words were there and they weren't hearing things as they all so hoped they did.

"WHAT! PETUNIA!" Lily Evans shouted in anger at her sister and her family."HOW COULD YOU?"

That was what made everyone start into action, the purebloods felt justified that they were correct about muggles, but hated them for abusing a pureblood family heiress. The muggle-borns finally saw the reason why some purebloods hate muggles. The half-bloods just want justice for the poor girl. While the marauders have started a pay backlist on a piece of parchment.

The Half-Giant quickly shakes his head, trying not to think about McGonagall's wrath - which can be terrifying - and knocks on the door. Which falls to the ground, he accidentally knocked a little too hard.

"Oh, Hagrid." Professor McGonagall said fondly. While looking pleased that her wrath is so very terrifying still.

He sees a boy with black hair pressed against a wall, and who he presumes to be Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

"Oh great, at least we don't have to hear about how they look," Sirius said happily.

Young Bloom, though, with her distinctive fiery hair he remembers from when he last saw her, is nowhere to be found.

"So she has red hair, I wonder how red it would be?" Remus stated. When James and Lily looked at him he quickly continued." I just mean if Hagrid thought she had distinctive fiery hair, that must mean that not only does she have red hair, but that he never saw her shade of red hair before." They started to nod and look away, as Remus let out a sigh of relief. You don't want to piss Lily off with her temper or James with his, now that he thinks about it.

Vernon's face turns purple, and he yells "I demand you leave at once! You're breaking and entering!"

"Like that would mean anything, Hagrid only listens to Dumbledore." Bellatrix snorted at the very thought that he thought he could order Hagrid around ignoring the look she got from her parents.

Immediately deciding not to fix the door, Hagrid walks over and says "Dry up, Dursley, you great prune." To get his point across, he effortlessly bends the barrel of the shotgun so it's pointed up.

"Thank you Hagrid," Lily said looking relieved as did all those who grew up in the muggle world.

The resulting shot blows a hole in the ceiling - it also gets a chuckle that Hagrid picks up on. "Bloom?"

"Where is Bloom?" Regulus and Sirius asked at the same time. Making them look at each other and then Sirius looked away making Regulus sad. He really wanted his brother back, but it looks like he never would get him back.

It came from…the fireplace.

"What… Why would it come from the fireplace?" Remus asked, looking intrigued.

She's hiding in the lit fireplace?!

"Why would she do such a thing, what if she got hurt?" Molly asked worryingly.

Sure enough, a head of fiery hair pokes out of the flames to stare at him warily.

"Oh Bloom sweetheart, Hagrid wouldn't hurt a fly," Lily said.

"Lily-flower you're talking to a book," James said.

"I know that Potter, and don't call me Lily-flower," Lily said, blushing in embarrassment.

Vernon's face turns another shade of purple, as she comes out with nothing more than a bit of soot on her for the experience of hiding in a fireplace with a fire going, but Hagrid says "Got something for ya. 'Fraid I might've sat on it at some point, but it'll taste good nonetheless. Baked it myself, words an' all."

"Oh no, sweetheart doesn't eat it, I'm sorry Hagrid, it's just the food you make is barely edible as it is," James said to the book then at Hagrid.

"Oh it's na'thing I und'stand, not tha' great of a cook, nah need to apologize, James," Hagrid said, understanding his reasoning.

When Bloom opens the box wrapped with some ribbon, her face lights up at the cake he made. "Thank you! It's wonderful." She holds it closer to her body after glancing at Dudley, who's staring at the box greedily.

"Oi! You little pig, don't you dare eat her birthday cake," Sirius yelled.

Hagrid also hands her the letter for her, but she grins at him and says "No need. I managed to read one already. Know it by heart by now. Didn't say anything about the first one, but then letters kept coming."

"Wow, it seems that she has more brains than James," Remus said Jokingly.

"Yea-Hey Mooney why?" James yelled at Remus.

Vernon verbally explodes " WHAT?! "

"Uh-oh," Lily started "Get outta there."

Bloom grins at him half-cheekily, half-furiously, and says "Dear Ms. Potter, we're pleased to inform you that you've been accepted at Hogwarts, the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The rest is instructions, stuff I'll need - I memorized those as well, if you're wondering."

"Wow, first off nicely done. At least she knows what was being sent to her. And second off, don't piss them off." Anthony Wood, a sixth-year Gryffindor and the keeper/captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

Vernon yells "You'll not be going, you little freak! We swore when we took you in we'd put a stop to all this rubbish!"

"How dare that man yell at my granddaughter. Of course, she will be going to Hogwarts." Dorea Black yelled from her seat in anger at how Bloom was being treated.

"Don't forget dear, that man had also called magic 'rubbish,' for shame. And trying to stop Bloom's magic could have killed not only her but the whole of surrey." Charlus Potter stated in anger.

"And that's why I never told you about that first letter, just slipped it under my door for later. I'm going, and I'm not letting you stop me."

"That's actually a very smart idea, I'm so proud of you, baby girl!" Lily said happily.

"You could tell she doesn't have James' brains, as he would have opened his letter in front of them," Remus stated jokingly.

"You're talking as if Potter even has a brain. He's just a mindless, reckless, hot-headed lion. He just rushes into danger blind, which shows you how brain dead he truly is." Severus snapped with a scowl and a sneer in his voice.

"Shut your mouth Snivellus," Sirius sneered angrily at Snape. "Unless you want me to do it for you?" Sirius threatens Snape.

Before there could be a full-blown-out fight/duel between Severus and Sirius it got interrupted by someone unexpected.

"Enough Sirius" James said, shocking everyone in the great hall, especially Severus "I want to know more about my future daughter. And in this century please." James added. Severus, shocked by Potter standing up for him in the most subtle way possible, continued reading as thanks for stopping Black from threatening him any longer.

Petunia sneers at Bloom, and says "I knew this day was coming. You're just like my freak of a sister. Just as strange and abnormal, just as unnatural. My parents were so proud when Lily got her letter - oh, we've got a witch in the family! I was the only one to see her for the freak she was. And then she met James, and got herself blown up - and then we got landed with you. "

The great hall is silent with horror at how Bloom found out about her parents' horrible demise. The purebloods were outraged by this woman and how she treated her own sister and niece. They would gladly put the fear of magic into her and her despicable family. The rest of the great hall felt anger, sadness, and disgust at what that woman just said. If any were to ever meet her she would wish she was never even conceived by the end of the meeting.

One thing registers with Bloom more than the rest - the words 'blown up.' "You told me my parents died in a car crash! You've lied to me about everything my whole life!"

Hagrid immediately notices the fire leap higher at Bloom's anger - he's about to say something when Vernon yells "You put that fire out this instant, you little freak! I won't have you-"

"How dare he-!" Professor McGonagall started, before cursing in Scottish.

"Oh, what's a great muggle gonna do about it, huh?" Lucius Malfoy mocked, with a drawl and closed-off expression.

" Out?! You want it OUT?! WELL HERE! " The fire blows out of the fireplace in a geyser. Bloom shouts "Now it's out! And so am I!"

"Oh, dear, it seems even though she was adopted she got not only my mother's temper, but lily's as well. I pity the poor souls on the opposite side of her anger. Though I would never pity those creatures that are your sister and her little family Lily-Flower." James stated.

"Oh shut up, Potter," Lily said as she had been blushing quite hard.

Dudley yells "Mummy! I want her cake! Make her give it to me!"

"Oh, cry me a river you Wittle Cry Baby." Bellatrix mocked Dudley's tantrum.

Hagrid gives him a pig's tail for that one.

The entire great hall was silent trying not to laugh until one of the Prewett twins (Fabian I think) let out a loud snort. Then like a dam bursting, everyone, everywhere in the great hall was laughing their arse off.

Bloom glares at him, the fires around them leaping higher, and Hagrid says "Well, now, you're a thumping good Witch already, even without getting trained. Can't wait to see what you'll be doing once you've been trained."

"I stick by what I say, from the looks of it. She is a thumping good witch, Indeed," Hagrid stated, nodding his head in agreement.

"I hate to agree with the help," Lucius sneered," I have to admit that the oaf is correct, your daughter is indeed very powerful."

The whole great hall watched in shock that Lucius Malfoy just agreed with Hagrid of all people. Of course, he still insulted Hagrid which many arents happy with.

He gets fixed with an intelligent blue gaze, and she says "You haven't seen much yet. Shall we be off? Before you ask if I'd rather stay, my answer is absolutely not."

Hagrid grins, then leans down and says "Don't, uh, don't tell anyone about that tail of Dudley's. I'm technically not supposed to do magic outside of the school."

"Oh, what am I going to do with you hagrid?" McGonagall asked, sighing in disbelief.

While Hagrid is turning ruby-red in embarrassment, the students in the great hall all laugh at the embarrassed half-giant. The adults are a bit more disappointed in how Hagrid used magic on a muggle when he wasn't allowed to do any magic at all.

Bloom winks at him, and says "If you don't tell anyone about this."

The door comes flying into the wall, and the impact is hard enough to turn it to splinters.

"Deal."

Cake box in hand, she apparently calls all the fire in the room to form a barrier between her and her family - she walks out with her head held high, and soon enough she and Hagrid are high in the sky.

"That's good, at least she can still hold her head up high," Lily stated in relief. "That means my sister and her family didn't destroy her sense of worth."

"Thank merlin for small miracles eh, Lilyflower?" James asked happily.

"Yes James, Thank merlin for small miracles," Lily said unconsciously. "And don't call me Lilyflower Potter."

"Whatever you say, Lilyflower." James argued back, "You do know that you called me by my first name right Lilyflower."

"What no way, you must be hearing things, potter!" Lily stated, looking away so he couldn't see her blushing face.

And, as Hagrid learns, she loves it! And the cake she eats on the way, she loves that too - declares he must be a master chef to make a cake this good.

"And that's the chapter done," Severus stated as he closed the book.

"Very well," Izaya stated, making everyone jump. "Now I believe it should be a good time for a small break. So everyone eats some breakfast if you haven't yet had the time. Mister Weasley if you need any explaining about muggle things please ask during this break and I shall answer any questions you have for me. If anyone wants to know the answers as well, you may come to hear them as well. And finally, after I answer your questions, Mister Weasley I shall bring forth some people from the future to read with you all."

"Of course, thank you, Miss Peverell," McGonagall said to Izaya.

"It's my pleasure," Izaya said back to McGonagall.
