In the hallway of Cinderella Castle, Silver made his way to the castle library. Belle had requested Silver to grab some books in the library she wanted to read but didn't have time to do so due to the meet and greet, shows, parades, and more. So Silver happily helped her out and was given a list of books she wanted him to grab from her.
He managed to reach his destination but noticed that one of the library doors was slightly open, just a little bit. Curious, Silver assumes that someone must have forgotten to close the Library door. Silver walks up and enters the library.
When he enters the room, he sees a beautiful library in a gothic revival style in white, blue and gold, with bookcases covering all the walls. Three large French windows that face Liberty Square with elegant baby blue curtains. There are only two tables to the middle of the room, with a fireplace to the north side and also a white and blue Gothic furniture with a golden crystal chandelier above right close to the fireplace.
However, this library isn't empty at all. Silver noticed a Colombian girl wearing green circle glasses on her face, a small fennec fox who's literally about the size of a toddler, and a Border Collie mix dog. But Silver suddenly recognized someone with them, a young adult, who's sitting on the wheel ladder stair, had two-tone red and white hair, their eyes matching those colors as well, wearing armor made of ice that looked to be radiating heat and a tail sticking out.
It was N, the one who competed in the Sorcerer Tournament. Judging by their expression, it seemed to him that N (along the other three) was searching through every book in the bookcase.
Silver stepped inside and greeted N. "N! Hi!" Silver ran up to them, causing their attention. "Oh it's so wonderful to see you! I haven't seen you since the Tournament and the party at the House of Mouse! How are you anyway?"
"Oh, hello Silver" N greeted him back but continued looking for something. "I'm good after all, thank you."
"Surprised to see you here in the castle library." Silver response.
"So what brought you here in the library?" N asked, finally looking down at him.
"Oh I'm actually running some errands for Belle," He explained to the young woman. "You see, she ask me to grab her some books at the library so I'm happy to help the friend out and-"
"Listen Silcer-"
"Uh, my name is Silver…"
"-As much I want to engage in this… friendly conversation or small talk with you but as you can see, I am very… VERY… busy." N exclaim.
"Oh."
"In case you don't know," N began to start explaining to Silver. "My friends and I are looking for an enchanted book that was accidentally sold to the library." He explained. "That book is very important to me and I need it back. We searched for that book for about forty minutes and if the book ended up in the wrong hands, who knows what would happen."
"Oh you mean this book?"
N looked down and was shocked that Silver had managed to find an enchanted book in the matter of seconds. "W-what!" N gasp. "H-how!?"
"Oh I just found it in the box where the other books are." He pointed his finger over his shoulder at the box that said "New book" written on the front that they were searching right next to the library entrance door. "And I finished gathering some books that Belle wanted to read." He smiles, while placing five books onto the table. "Hmm…" Silver tilted his head and rubbed his chin as he stared at the books before looking down at the list. "I better double check to see if I got all of them."
"Are… you… freaking kidding me!?" N shouted, raising their voice. "We spent forty… FORTY minutes searching for that book and you managed to find it in just a matter of seconds!!!"
N took a deep breath. "Sorry…" They apologized. "I am trying to improve myself by being nice to others and not let my anger get the best of me."
"That's quite alright," Silver smiled, patting their shoulders. "I'm sure you will have a lot of friends! And you already got one." He hugged them, wrapping his arms around N shoulder.
N was taken by surprise. "Wow… I have never had someone hug me before." They smiled.
"You know, maybe after this. We could hang out together!" Silver said to them. "Oh we could go to Disney Spring, and eat ice cream or go on the ride!"
"Yeah… that would be nice." N nodded. Their tails began wagging side by side.
Silver notices a Colombian girl standing behind N. "Say!" Silver began to speak. "Aren't you from that new movie Encanto?"
She nodded her head. "Yup!" She smiled. "The name Mirabel! Pleasure to meet you!" She shook his hand.
"Likewise," He smiled back at her. "I love that movie! I just watched it about a week ago! It's a pleasure to meet you in person."
"As much as you like chatting with my friends, I would like to have my book back please." Just as N was about to take an enchanted book from Silver, the middle window of the library was shattered. Something or someone flew through the shattered window with a broom and snatched the enchanted book out of Silver's hand.
The one who snatched the book has green skin wearing a blue dress along with a grey apron and the red beanie hat. "It's Suzanne the Wicked Witch!" N call out.
"Give that book to N!" Silver yelled at her. "It doesn't belong to you!"
Suzenna responds back with a cackling. "Not anymore!" She said, "It's mine now! Finder keeper! Loser weeper. Ah! Ahahahahah!"
Suzenna began chanting some spells as she levitated the book in thin air. The book is open causing her to make wind around the library. She slammed the open book to the library floor, slowly rising up to the ceiling was a dark green tornado and the sound thundered inside. The witch cackles as she flies in her broom inside of the tornado.
N could see the books in the library were beginning to fly off the bookshelves and most of the pages of the books were ripped off. But N's attention was immediately drawn towards Silver who was now holding on to the leg of the table for his dear life. They notice Silver slowly losing his grip due how strong the tornado is.
N quickly rushed to help Silver by taking his hand and holding onto the pillar. "Hold on Silver!" N shouted loud enough for him to hear.
"I….I don't know if I can!" Silver could feel his hand slowly being free from N just before he slipped through their grip and flew into the tornado as the sound of his scream can be heard. Soon after, Stan was also sucked up into the tornado. N turned to look behind them and saw Mirabel was hiding behind the fireplace while Finnick was clinging onto her skirt so as to not to get stuck inside the tornado like Silver and Stan. N turn back again to see the tornado.
N couldn't just keep holding onto the pillar and waited for this to be over, they needed to rescue Silver and Stan. Without thinking and without hesitating, N let go of the pillar and began sprinting toward the tornado and diving inside.
The huge tornado slowly, slowly, and slowly died out until it's completely over. Mirabel and Finnick, the only two survivors, open their eyes to see the complete chaos and mess the tornado caused. Most of the books (and some were open) are found on the floor title of the library. Some had their pages ripped out, while most pages can be seen scattered around the area. The shattered pieces of the window were found lying next to the broken windows .
"We need to find Gabriel!" Mirabel exclaimed in panic.
Both Mirabel and Finnick quickly rush out of the messy library to find Gabriel.
When N opened their eyes they noticed that they, Silver and Stan were floating in midair. They had no idea where they were. It was pitch black and the only light source was the dark green tornado they were in with random pages flying around with them.
"Where are we?" N shouted with their voice distorted. "What's happening?"
Everyone let out a scream as the tornado began sucked them down a strange swirl. They were transported somewhere with a bunch of objects they were passing by. An elegant gothic style mirror, white rose covered in red paint, a turtle shell, and a pumpkin carriage that was falling close to the trio, and many other objects that were blurred by them. The trio were screaming as they were flipped in the air, N lightly hitting the sides of the hole.
"Wh-What is happening?!" Stan screamed.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Silver screamed as he fell.
But soon they all saw what looked like the bottom light of the hole. But when they were almost about to hit the end, there was an elegant bed in the air. But the bed bounced them off one by one and they continued falling before. Due to the light of the bottom hole, N, Silver, and Stan both closed their eyes shut and everything went white.

The portal opened up in the sky and out came was the trio. They continued screaming all the way down, passing by some clouds they came across just before they landed on a huge white cloud.
"Woo, have to say this. That was the softest landing I've ever felt." N commented as they enjoyed the feeling of the cloud. "It's like the clouds are made out of marshmallows," They added just before they started getting up.
"Hey, guys. Do you know where we are?" N asked, looking around to see a bunch of beanstalks scattered around the clouds as well as some mushrooms (some are big like the normal tree and others are about 8 feet tall).
"Beat me!" Silver got up and N let out a gasp as they suddenly noticed that Silver wore a completely different outfit. He's not wearing the one he wore earlier but instead wore something that belonged in the Elizabethan era.
"Silver!" N called out to the glasses-wearing young man, their mouths wide open in shock. "Your…. Your outfit! It… it is different from the one you were wearing earlier!"
"What!?" Silver spoke, he looked down and gasped as he was stunned to see that he's not wearing his usual attire but something out of the Elizabethan history book.
Silver wears a dark brown skirt trimmed with a broad band of dark fabric at the hem, with a brown bodice and sleeves and a long half-bottom white apron. An elaborate purse hangs from his belt, and he wears a white cloth-covering headdress that covers his black curly hair.
"Huh…." Silver was in shock at this historic attire, he looked up and noticed he's not the only one that has his outfit changed. "I could say the same thing to you, N, you look completely different! And so to you Stan!"
N wears a dark brown tailored jerkin tunic with white long puffy sleeves with ruffle trim, matching doublet and legging, a pair of leather boots, and matching dark brown flat hat with a single white feather. A leather belt waist pouch wraps around their waist along with their sword and their tail sitting out underneath the tunic.
The dog simply wore a black jerkin tunic with just a white blouse shirt with long medium puff sleeves and a black doublet pant and matching flat hat on his head.
"I don't believe it!" Stan exclaimed. "Although, I do look rather nice if I do say so to myself."
N wasn't sure of their new look. "Hmm, does this… pants… thingy… whatever this is, make my butt look big?"
"Not really," Stan responded. "But hey! At least you got those kardashian booty!" The dog laughs at his comment while N glares at him.
Just then, N gasps and notices something in the distance. "Guys… I think you better see this…" Silver and Stan turn to face their direction and gasp as well.
In front of them was this gigantic and humongous medieval structure, a small castle with Gothic features reinvented! They all couldn't believe the size of that castle, the trio are basically the same size as the ants when looking up!
"Woah! That's some huge castle right there!" Stan's words cause him to spook the young boy.
The young boy turns around and stares at the trio. This young boy has tan skin, messy hair, small double eyelids to monolid eyes, has a slightly high bridge nose and he appears to be filipino. He has a slender body type with jet black hair and is wearing the billowy sleeves of the creamy blouse that's layered under a brown tunic. His look comes together with pants, boots, and a wide leather belt that cinches his waist in.
"You scare me!" The young boy exclaimed.
"We're terribly sorry about that!" Silver apology to the young boy. "We didn't mean to fright you, honest!"
"What's your name?" N asked the kid, "I'm N." They introduced themselves before turning their heads toward Silver and Stan. "This is my friend Silver and the dog named Stan!"
"Hello!" Silver curtsy at the boy. "It's very nice to meet you…. Um…. would you be so kind as to exactly what your name is?"
"Jack," the boy revealed his name to the trio. "My name is Jack, it's lovely to meet you three."
"So Jack, what brought you here?" N question the young boy.
"Well you see, yesterday my mama wanted me to sell our cow to earn money for food." Jack explained. "So I did and I sold it to the man who gave me three beans that he said to be magical!"
"Wait a minute." Stan exclaimed, pausing Jack's story. "So you mean to tell us that you just accepted this "magical" bean from the complete stranger who you sold your cow to without even bothering to question him?"
Silver and N shush him and let Jack continue his story.
"Anyway, my mama got mad-""I would be mad too if my son came home with three beans!""Stan! Shush!''-and I came home with three magical beans rather than the money. She threw it away through the window and then I woke up in the morning to see this very tall beanstalk!" He pointed to the green beanstalk poking out of the cloud in the distance.
The trio realize that they are in the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. They know what the story is about and they know they will encounter the giant later on.
"I climbed up this huge beanstalk which led me to this castle!" Jack turns around and points at the castle. "I wonder what's inside?"
"Well, there's only one way to find out!" N said encouragingly before walking toward the castle and facing the other over their shoulder. "We must enter inside!"
Silver, Stan, and Jack eventually gave a "oh well" look and followed N. Together, they head toward the castle just before they climb on the stone porch. N give Silver a boost by bending down and lift Silver feet up to the porch. Silver managed to climb up before helping Jack by grabbing his hand and pulling him up. Both boys pull the dog up to the porch.
Once all three are on the stone step, N easily pulls themselves up without their help. N dust themselves before addressing the group.
"Okay everyone… whatever happens past this door, let's stick together."
"Okay."
"Of course."
"Yup."
There are a few words of agreement said to N's sentiment. N, feeling more encouraged by this, leads the group through the door underneath.
When they all entered the castle, they were greeted by this lovely interior design. It was filled with a rich assortment of tables, chairs, and case furniture that evoke the furnishings and lifestyle of Tudor and Elizabethan. An open lifted fireplace was placed right between the case as well as some portraits hung on the wall and the metal chandelier hanging on the ceiling.
The group were in awe of this magnificent room. Being the size of an ant, they never knew how huge and gigantic it is from their point of view.
"This is amazing!" Silver takes a look around the room, so admire this lovely architect. "I've never seen anything like this before! I feel like I'm stepping into Thornbury Castle!"
"This room is bigger than the New Year train station!" Stan commented.
"Somebody, and I mean somebody who is gigantic than us, lives here." Jack added.
Right after Jack said "gigantic", the loud footsteps can be heard. Due to the vibration that the sound is making, the group couldn't stand on their legs and fell to the floor of the castle. The sound is getting louder and louder. It sounds like it's coming from that stairway.
"What's going on!?" Jack said, terrified.
N, Silver, and Stan both knew who's making that sound. In a panic, they quickly hid one of the table legs and stared at the stairs.
"I think I know who's causing this noise." N exclaim.
Entering the room was this huge man with Filipino features like Jack. The Giant dress in the very Tudor era. He wears a fur-trimmed red overgrown with split hanging sleeves over a jerkin and an embroidered and slashed doublet and sleeves. He wore black stocking and polish shoes, he wore a single ring on each of his fingers. The flat hat is covered in velvet and decorated with gems and white three feathers.
"Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell someone inside of my home!" The Giant walked around his room and took a sniff.
"It's the giant!" Silver whispers softly to the group while staring at the giant. "What are we going to do?" He cried.
"If the giant spotted us! We might be eaten!" Jack added.
"No way on earth I will become the giant food!" Stan against the thought of being the giant snack. "We need to get out of here!"
But the trio know that they can't unless they help Jack reach his happy ending. All they have to do is find the goose that lays golden coins… well… if they find them… and get them out of here!
N spotted a stack of wooden logs right close to the window above. This gives them an idea, they turn to face the group behind them. All scared and terrified.
"Guys!" They spoke calmly to them. "I have an idea! Huddle!"
All four of them form a circle together.
"Okay! What's your plan N?" Stan asks them.
"Listen," N spoke seriously to them. "This may sound ridiculous… But we need to make a run toward that stack of wooden logs right next to the fireplace!"
"Are you out of your mind!?!?!?" Stan shrieked only for his mouth to be covered by their hands.
"I know! I know!" N response to the dog. "But trust me! I know what I am doing."
The group nodded and ready to follow N's plans and instructions. N peak over the leg, seeing that giant is turning their back as he's trying to find them.
They all run up to a pile of logs, which are next to a fireplace and beneath the window. The Giant turned around, he spotted them but decided to wait to see what happened.
"Up those logs! We can make it!" N shouted behind them.
The group hops up to the highest log, but the window is still too high for them to reach.
"Oh boy, no way we can make that jump!" Jack exclaimed.
"Silver!" N shouted at him. "Give me a hand with that poker there!"
N and Silver run off and return carrying a log poker. They hold it up and try to reach the windowsill, although the poker is fairly heavy.
"That's it! Little more! More!" N instructed him. N and Silver manage to firmly rest the tip of the poker on the sill.
"You first, Silver!" N ordered Silver before nodding.
"You got it!"
Silver walks up the poker to the sill, followed by Jack and Stan. However, the Giant pulls the candle lever and the metal door comes down, blocking the window and causing the group to fall and slide down the poker.
"Fee fi fo fum!" said the Giant. "I'll lock you up, cuz you're so dumb!"
"Um…. Rude!" Stan exclaimed.
"Silver! That bellows!" N points to a bellows lying next to the logs.
N and Silver jump down onto the bellows and then to the floor. The Giant approaches the logs and laughs as he spots Stan and Jack.
"Push, Silver! Push!" N rotate the bellows so that it faces a pile of dust.
"Oh no!" Jack gasps as he and Stan huddle together.
The Giant grabs the three of them and laughs. He then turns and faces N, as they run onto the bellows' handle and begin bouncing on it like crazy.
"Fum fee fi faddit! You have really had it!" The Giant laughed.
A large dust cloud builds up which causes the giant to sneeze, and he drops Stan and Jack.
"There's gotta be a way out!" Stan exclaimed.
The group runs over towards another door, which opens a crack.
"In there," N pointed. "Quickly! Into the other room!"
The group enters the room, but comes to an immediate stop.
"I don't believe it!" Silver gasps in surprise. "It's a mountain of gold money!"
The group looks up and sees a huge pile of gold coins that almost reaches the ceiling. At the top of the ceiling is a birdcage with a small hole in the bottom.
"It's absolutely amazing!" Stan mouth drop.
"Incredible!" Jack bent down and picked up one of the coins. "With this kind of money, we could be rich!"
The giant closes the door behind them.
"That's right!" The Giant said to them as he stuck his face through a wicket gate in the door. "And since you admire my gold coins so much, you may remain with them for the rest of your lives! Eventually, you'll be crushed by them! Watch this! Lay!"
In the cage is a normal-sized goose. Upon hearing the Giant's command, she forces herself to lay a few gold coins, which are soon lost in the huge pile.
"That goose is gonna smother you all! With all his money, I could fill my castle with rich and expensive! Lay!" The Giant chuckled before closing the wicket gate.
"Hey Giant! King Henry the eighth call! He wants his clothes back!" Stan shouted angrily. "Or else your head is on the chopping block!"
More coins are laid coming out of the goose… butthole (sorry about that…), which falls down the pile and rolls around on the floor.
"Can you help me? I gotta get outta here! I'm laid out!" She pleaded to the group down below.
"You've gotta get outta here?" Sliver places his hands on his hands, glaring at the goose. "Um, excuse me? How about us? We want to get outta here too!"
"I know a way out if you can get me down." She responded.
N runs up to the top of the pile and bends away at the cage bars. The goose escapes from her cage, so she and N run down the pile of coins to the floor.
"Whew! What a relief, I am finally free!" The goose stretched her body. "That giant makes me do it with a magic spell!"
"Okay, since we got you out of that cage, where's the way out?" Jack asks her.
"Under there!" The goose points to a branch in a corner surrounded by coins. "Before the coins covered it, I saw part of the garbanzo beanstalk creep through a tiny crack!"
Everyone walks up to the crack and N and Silver along with Jack shovels some coins out of the way to reveal a crack in the floor.
"Look, the crack's grown bigger!" The goose pointed out.
"Great!" N said it in joy before turning to face everyone. "Once we exit the crack, we're good as gone! Is everybody ready?"
Everyone jumps through the crack, slides down the branch and cheers. As they ran along the branch, staying close together and making sure not to fall down, Silver saw something in the sky flying toward the group.
"Um… guy. I think you need to look over there."
Coming flying toward the group was no other than Suzenne the witch.
"It's Suzenna!" Stan exclaimed.
Suzenna cackles just before she faces the group. "My, my, my!" She said, coldly. "What do I have here? Two fools and their pets escaping the giant castle!" She cackled again before she continued. "I hope there aren't any birds flying around here! You might have to be careful dearly, you don't want to be their dinner."
She waves her hand so she can start chatting her evil dark spell. "Sky of blue! Cloud of white! Summons the hungry birds! Their delicious food is waiting to be eaten!" Suzenna cackles before she flies her broom into the huge cloud.
Stan swallows his apple. "Birds…. What did she mean by 'hungry birds'?"
His questions were soon answered, coming out of the same cloud that Suzenna flew in was a bunch of hungry crows flying toward the group.
"Does this answer your question!?" The Goose said in fear.
"As a matter of fact, yes!" He shrieked.
"Wait!" Silver shouted. "I have an idea!"
"What!" They all look and stare at Silver, waiting to hear about his idea.
"RUN!!!!!!"
What a excellent idea! All of the group scream, running down the beanstalk while the bunch of crow swoops down upon the group. Some crows puck their hair and pinch their skin.
"No!" Stan cried. "Not my tail!"
"Shoosh!" Silver tries to shoosh them away. "Oh please leave us alone! We are trying to escape the Giant!"
"Ouch!" Jack shouted. "Not my hair! How are we supposed to leave them!"
"Only one way to fight 'em!" Stan said to them.
"Already ahead of you!" N plucks a bean from a pod. They passes it to Silver, who passes it to Jack, who then passes it to Goose, who chucks it at the crows.
"Take that!" Goose threw a bean at them. "That should teach you birds a lesson!"
The group do the same with more beans thrown at them until the crows are all gone.
"Way to go, guys!" N cheer.
"Woo-hoo!" Jack jumps up and down. "Come on! We have to get to my house!" By this time the group had climbed down, down, and down until he was very nearly home. As soon as they all reached the ground, Jack ran to call for his mother. "MAMA! MAMA! Bring me an axe, bring me an axe! Quickly!"
His mother came rushing out with the axe in her hand. "What's going on-OH MY GOSH WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?!?!" When she came to the beanstalk she stood there with fright and shock, for there she saw the giant with his legs just through the clouds in the sky.
"Mama! I know you are shock-"
"YOU BET I AM!!!!"
Jack took hold of the axe and gave a chop at the beanstalk, N also helped Jack out by taking out their sword and chopping the beanstalk.
[Song: Timber - Pitbull, but the lyric have been change]
N:
It's going down, I'm yelling timber
The Giant felt the beanstalk shake and quiver, so he stopped to see what was the matter.
Jack:
You better hold on, hold on tight
Then Jack and N gave another chop with the axe and sword, the beanstalk was cut in two and began to topple over the long deep cliff.
N:
Let's make a day, we won't remember
Then the giant and the beanstalk came toppling down.
N & Jack:
We'll be the one, you won't forget
Then the Giant let go of the beanstalk, he screamed as he plugged down to the cliffs. His voice slowly went soft and soft until they heard him no more and the sound of the beanstalk crashed to the ground.
"He… he's gone!" Silver calls out to everyone.
Everyone cheered and celebrated, they couldn't believe that they had defeated the Giant. But what they didn't know was that the beanstalk was bringing the castle down with it. Coins break out through a wall and rain down on Jack's cottage.
"Coins! And more coins!" Jack said in a happy tone.
"Oh we're rich!" Jack's mother began picking up some coins that had fallen from the sky. "Ahahah! We're rich! We're rich!"
Just then, a portal opens up behind the trio.
"Look!" Silver call out. "The portal!"
"Looks like it's time for us to leave." N said to them
"You guys are leaving already? Okay then. I'm going to miss you, all. And thank you all so much for helping me defeat the giant and cut down the beanstalk." said Jack as he hugs each of them.
"You're very welcome, Jack. We better get going. My friends and I have more adventures to go to to defeat Suzenna." said Silver.
Stan jumps inside the portal first followed by Silver and then by N.
"Bye, Jack." The trio said goodbye before the portal was shut.
"Bye, everyone!" said Jack.
Off they go to another story.
Storybook 2: 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓣𝓪𝓵𝓮 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓵𝓮𝓮𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓑𝓮𝓪𝓾𝓽𝔂
The trio were then teleported to a different story.
Both trio opened their eyes once the light died down. They stare at each other and see that they notice that they are now wearing a different attire than before.
Silver wore an white blouse that featured a square neckline with ruffle trim and elbow length sleeves with a ruffle lace bell bottom. He even is wearing an 18th century style black stays with a lace-up on the front. He has a fern green midi length skirt with ruffle hem and also has a half bottom white cotton apron with a small ruffle trimmed around the edges with two pockets.
Underneath the skirt was a pannier pocket hoop with cotton petticoats on top of the hoops. He wore white stockings, an black Mary-Jane low pump, and still wore his black square-frame glasses. His hair was styled into a tête de mouton (translate: sheep's head) with short curls and some locks on the nape. He has a black choker wrap around on his neck and a ruffle mob cap on the back of his head.
N wore this white cotton blouse with elbow puff style sleeves trimmed with lace. They happened to wear a heavily woven black cotton vest with the white ruffle collar cascading out of the top vest and their tail sticking out underneath. They wore a forest green below the knee breeches, high white stocking and black colonial style shoes with gold buckles. On the back of their head was this pretty tiny flower headpiece consisting of white roses and baby breaths. They also have an black shoulder strap sword holder on their right shoulder with their sword tuck.
As for Stan, the dog simply wore an black scare tie around his neck.
"Man! You guys look so good!" Stan compliments them.
"I don't know," N said. Not sure how they feel about this. "It… kinda itchy to be honest." They are not wrong, it starts to feel itchy and they start starching their arms.
"I… love it!" Silver immediately began twirling in his dress. "I just love the way my skirt twirls!" Silver squeal, beam in happiness.
"Sooooooo……. What story are we in now?" N took a look at their surroundings, they are in a wood with a lot of trees and some few flowers here and there.
"I have no idea where we are," Stan responded. "Are we in Marie Antoinette?" Then the dog gasps in panick. "Does this mean that we're going to lose our heads!?"
"What!?" N exclaimed and shouted at the frightened dog. "No! Nononono! We are not in the France Revolution! No one is losing their head today!"
Silver slowly stops twirling. "Maybe it's best we could try and find a village or a town. If so, maybe it would be best to stay together as a group and not to get separated from each other." Silver suggested.
N nodded, "Agree." They said, "we better start walking right away."
"Fine, but if we happen to be in the Revolution! I am outta here!" Stan promised them.
With that, they began walking to see if there was any town or a village they could find. During their walk, Silver began to admire the beauty of nature and the woods. He can hear the sound of the birds chirpy, the smell of beautiful flowers. He can feel the wind blowing his face and smelling the air.
"Don't you guys love it!" Silver asks them sweetly, he smiles softly as he starts to hum as he's picking up some daisies from the ground and making them into small bouquets.
But N wasn't, their mission was to find the village, find the witch, defeat her and return back home… once N figured out how to get back home exactly.
"Silver," N began to speak up in a serious tone to the young man. "I know you love it but we need to find a village." But Silver was still continuing picking more daisies.
"Oh I know," Silver responded back. "But you don't think that maybe… perhaps we could use a little break? And just relax for a bit, and enjoy the wonderful nature and greenery."
Silver notices a nice lovely lake in the distance, not that far from where they are standing. "Look!" Silver pointed out his finger. "There's a lake right over there! We can rest there and take a little break!" He suggested.
"Nice! I am so thirsty right now!" Stan began to wag his tail and both began to run toward the lake while N let out a sigh and followed them behind.
When they got there, Stan immediately started drinking the lake as Silver used his hand and drank it. "Mmm, so fresh!" Silver turns and sees N just standing there against the tree. "Come on N! Drink some water! You need to stay hydrated!" He said.
N gave in and sat on their knees next to Silver and drank it. He was right, this water is so good and fresh as well. "You're right!" A smile began to form on their face. "It tastes so good!"
Silver giggle. "See? I told you!" He sang.
"Alright! Fine! We can relax for a while." N finally cave in.
The trio rest for a bit to gather their strength. Stan was rolling around on the green grass, right across from N who's taking a nap underneath the tree while Silver sat on the rock and began making a flower crown from the flowers he picked from the ground earlier.
As Silver was grabbing more flowers on the ground, he noticed something in the distance caught his attention. Being so curious, he got up from the rock and headed in that direction to investigate and found out. This causes attention from N and Stan as they watch Silver away from them and stop about a few feet away from the cliffs.
When N and Stan got up and stood next to Silver, they saw something completely unbelievable. Sat atop a picturesque hill sits a gorgeous looking castle with Romanesque Revival style architecture, its silhouette looking like something straight out of a fairy tale with many towers. The castle was covered in ivy and thorns as if it was abandoned for decades
"It's very beautiful," he says. Silver has never seen this castle like it.
"I can't believe it." N was in awe. Without thinking, three of them decided to head over to the castle in curiosity as to who lived there. However they do think that if there's a castle, then there must be a village nearby that they would go to.
It takes them about twenty or thirty minutes for them to finally reach the castle. The trio were extremely exhausted from walking but they managed to reach the beautiful side of the castle.
"Whoa." Silver smiles as he admires the ruined castle.
"Now that's the most amazing castle I have ever seen. I think I might cry." N exclaimed, still amazed by it.
"Go ahead. I won't judge." Silver slowly approaches the single door that is covered in thorn and ivy. Silver analyzes and notices that due to the thorn and ivy, the door couldn't be open.
"Hmm, it seems that we couldn't get in." Silver turns to look at N and Stan.
N look at their sword. Perhap they could cut down the thorn and vine.
"I believe we can get inside." N moved toward the door and Silver stepped aside and stood next to Stan.
N took out their sword from their sword shoulder strap, they took a deep breath before swinging the sword at the thorn and ivy cutting it to cut down. Once every part had been cut down, N managed to cut it down so they could open the door.
N place the sword back inside and press their hand against the door and open it widely enough for them to enter inside.
N walks in first, Silver and Stan follow them behind.
The trio climb up the stone stairs of the tower and reach the door at the end, N open the door which surprisingly and shockingly is not locked. When the trio walked out of the tower, they were greeted by the courtyard of the castle. They happen to find that many people seem to be laying on the ground, some are standing up, and others are sitting down.
"Man!" Stan said, the dog stared down at the woman who was laying down on her back with a spilled wine cup in her hand. "That must be one heck of a party they threw!"
N slowly approached the man and took one notice of his attire. The man dresses in the short doublet that is worn over a voluminous shirt with wide ruffles at the cuffs and flat, curve-cornered collar, petticoat breeches.
Judging by the way the man was dressed, the clothes are decades older than what they are wearing right now. In fact, it looks like everyone in the castle jumped out of The Night Watch painting by Rembrandt. Which means that everyone is dressed in this 1650s attire while the trio dress in 1750s getups.
"It seems that everyone is not dead." N shook the man to see if they could try and wake him up but with no anvil. They tried to hear his heart, but it was still beating and his stomach moved up and down.
"He is asleep." They answer to Silver and Stan. "But he's not the only one…" N turn to look at everyone who is also asleep. "Everybody in this entire castle is also asleep too."
"This is kinda amazing that everyone here is not… well…. bone." Stan's response.
"Wait a minute…. The castle is covered in ivy and thorns…. everyone dresses differently than us… and all of them are asleep." Silver gasps as he realizes the situation. "I think I know what story we're in." Silver turns to face them. "We're in the Sleeping Beauty story!"
"So that explains why this castle is covered in ivy and thorn and why everybody else is asleep." N finally understood the situation. "They are all put to sleep until the princess is woken up with the kiss!"
Silver nodded at them. "Once the spell is broken, then everyone in the kingdom will be awake from their hundred year nap."
N stare at the tallest tower of the castle. "If I am correct, the princess must be sleeping on top of the tower!" They pointed up the tower where they assumed the princess was sleeping.
With that information they have gathered, the trio decided to explore inside the castle to find the sleeping princess. When they all stepped inside the interior, Silver and Stan were amazed by this beautiful and wonderful baroque interior. They were overwhelmed by the dazzling splendor. Never in their life has they seen just majesty.
Even when the castle was destroyed or ruined by the ivy and thorns, it's still simply beautiful. It looked like it had been decorated by the same people who had done the Palace of Versailles.
They were bombarded with rooms of marble and gold and paintings: ceilings painted to the company of the angels and Greek gods, and the portraits hanging on the wall. Wherever they go, it is gold, gold, and gold, so they never lose sight of how wealthy this royal was.
"It's so beautiful!" Silver stared himself in the reflection in the marble pillar. "Whoever did this deserves the award for best architect design."
N see that all of the staff, guards, nobility, and the king and Queen were found asleep like the rest of them.
They continue to explore every inch of the castle until N notices a spiral stairway and makes a dash up to the stairs with Silver and Stan following behind them and heading straight up the topmost tower where they believe the princess is sleeping. They managed to climb to the top of the tower at a fairly decent pace.
As soon as the trio reached the final room at the top, N burst in. They weren't quite sure what they were expecting to find, given that one-hundred years had passed since they were cursed, but their thoughts were so preoccupied by the princess laying atop the single bed with her arms resting on top of her chest and the blanket embroidered in gold lay on top of her.
She was the most beautiful princess in the kingdom. The princess has dark skin with her beautiful black Afro hair that she wears in a bun at the back of her head with a cluster of Afro framing her face. She wore a smooth, tight, conical white satin bodice with a dropped shoulder. Slashed sleeves are caught with jeweled clasps over voluminous chemise sleeves.
A bush of thorn and ivy surrounded the bed making the sight even more beautiful and there happened to be a spinning wheel just a few feet away from the princess.
"She…… is…… beautiful!" Silver awe in the sight of the beauty.
"Even she's under a sleeping curse," Stan added. "She looked gorgeous and not…. bone like the others. Who knew that one hundred naps would make you look good!" Stan exclaimed. "No longer why everyone wants some beauty sleep, so they can look good like her."
Silver walked toward the portrait of the princess hanging on the wall that read "Princess Rosetta of Oland Kingdom".
"Hmmm." Silver tilted his head and rubbed his chin before looking at the sleeping princess. "So it seems that this Sleeping Beauty is Princess Rosetta."
N step into the balcony and see that all of the castle ground is guarded by sharp prickly thorns and ivy as well as the path and bridge. "If the thorns continue to grow like this, it would be difficult for her true love to reach the castle."
"Well then, we better find a prince and lead him here to the castle and wake Sleeping Beauty up!" Silver suggested.
The trio walk out the princess room and climb down the tower. They walk out the tower door that they first walked into and begin their search of finding the prince that can break the curse.
They began searching in the woods, it was half an hour later when the trio tried to find the prince but yet no sight of him. They passed a large, grassy clearing before going on a trail that followed the river. It was pleasant in the late afternoon sun, with mist from the fast-moving water rising up toward the trio. They walked one way for about two miles before turning back. Silver frequently admires the flowers on the grass before N grabbing his wrist to take this mission very seriously. Silver pointed to the trees, explaining the differences between fir trees, and cedar trees. The Western Hemlocks were the only type of fir tree they saw, but there were a couple different types of cedar trees.
A minute goes by and there's no sign of the handsome prince anywhere in the forest at all. The trio decided it would be best to take a break for a while before they continue the search. Luckily for them, there's a lake nearby surrounded by willow trees and since there's a lake they can drink some water to stay hydrated. It happens to be the exact same lake where they first take a break.
They gather some wood sticks they could possibly find in case it gets too dark so they can make a fireplace to keep them all warm. Stan was resting underneath the willow tree while Silver and N dip their feet into the lake.
"Soooo…… What now?" Silver played with his finger before looking at N.
"If the wood gets too dark, we will have to spend the night here tonight." N spoke in a serious tone. "Then in the mornings we will continue searching for the prince who can break the curse."
Silver lay his back on the grass and stared at the sky. "Let's just hope Suzenna doesn't cause some trouble for us, if she did, I know we can do it!"
Just then, the sound of the bushes can be head behind them,
"What was that?" Silver was an alarm of that sound.
N stands, looks into the bushes and trees surrounding them.
Sensing something behind them, they squint their eyes. Then, they could hear the sound of footsteps in a nearby bush which alarmed the trio. N slowly took their sword out, Silver stood behind N while Stan was in protected mode in front of them growling at the sound.
Silver gasps, "Is it Suzenna? Her minions? Have they come for us!?" He quickly picks up some rocks on the ground as his weapon.
The sound keeps getting closer… and closer… and closer to the trio.
"On the count of three, we jump and attack them." N whispered to Silver, the young glasses wearing man nodded to the idea.
"One…."
The trio began slowly approaching the bushes, and each step they took, their heart pow faster and faster.
"Two…."
One step, another step, another step, and another step while only raising their weapon in the air.
"Three!"
The three of them scream and charge at the bushes only to reveal a rabbit jumping out. They stop and stare at the rabbit who hop away from them.
The trio lower down their weapon, watching the rabbit hopping away.
"Oh, it's just a rabbit." N groan in annoyance, putting their sword back inside the pocket.
Silver let out a soft chuckle laugh. "Well… at least it's not a giant like we encounter before-"
"Excuse me?"
The trio scream in shock and terror by that voice, Silver and Stan both jump into N arm in Scooby-Doo style with the dog on top and Silver in the middle.
Came out of the bushes was this handsome man with dark skin dressed in an open beige coat jacket with filigree flock pattern, and gold embroidery. Inside was a white cotton a white shirt with ruffles in the long bishop sleeves and with a large white cascading ruffle on the front and a satin cream vest with gold embroidery and eight buttons. He wore beige knee breeches with button cuffs along with white stocking and colonial white polish shoes. His box braided hair was pulled into a lower ponytail tie with a satin bow that matched the color of his coat. He also happens to have a sword belt with the sword poking out from his coat and a white stallion horse.
"Were you the one making that voice?" The man asks. His voice is a bit loud and smooth-worthy that would instantly make someone fall in love with him. He's coming closer to the trio. "I am awfully sorry, please forgive I didn't mean to frighten you three."
"Oh!" N blinks, dropping Stan and Silver to the ground. "It's… not that," They clears their throat, "it's just that… you… a… a…"
"Spook you three?"
All three sheepishly nodded at him.
"Well, you did… kind of surprise us out of nowhere." Stan responded to the man.
"You can talk!?" The man quickly pulled out his sword underneath his coat and pointed at Stan. Both N and Silver quickly shield him and protect him.
"Woah! Woah! Woah!" N exclaim. "Please lower your sword down sir!"
The man did as he was told, he put his sword away and stared at the trio. "My apology," he said. "But you have to forgive me, I never seen a talking animal before."
"Where we come from, there are many, many animals who can actually talk like us." Silver told him. "Even those who can walk on two legs."
N roll their eyes before facing the man. "So what are you doing here in the forest by the way?"
"Oh! I was just exploring the wood for some peace." The man explained to them. "You see, I'm Prince Julian of Gutbert Kingdom. I have come here to the woods to release my stress from my royal duty."
The trio opened and closed their mouths. They couldn't believe their eyes! They're talking to a prince! A prince who is royalty! The prince who can break the curse and kiss the beautiful Princess Rosetta, the Sleeping Beauty from her slumber!
"You're a prince!?" Stan exclaimed.
"Yes," he, now revealed to be Prince Julian, admits. "I am, after all, a prince. Consider that my mother is the Queen which makes me a prince. Does this change anything?" Julian sks, with this weird look in his eye.
Sadness? Guilt?
"Well… no, guess not." Silver responded back to the prince.
The prince looked relieved. "Good because I enjoy having this friendly chat with you three today."
The trio and Julian sat down together on the grass while the prince horse ate some grass from the ground. The group enjoy having a conversation that they completely forgot what to do once they found the prince.
"Who are you three? What's your name?" Prince Julian asked the trio their name.
"I'm N," N goes first. "This is Silver" Silver waves and smiles at him. "And the dog Stan!"
"What brings you three out here in the woods? After all, I did give you my reason for why I am here." Julian questions the trio.
"Right! Right!" N stood up from the grass. "You see, we are out here because……."
How did they put this exactly? Well, they can't say they are looking for the prince who can break and that happens to be him.
"We just came back from the Castle of the Sleeping Beauty." Silver quickly answered the prince's answer before N could.
This caught the Prince in surprise. "A Sleeping Beauty?"
"Yes," Silver smiled at the prince before turning his head to the castle in the distance. "In that castle and within the thorn and vine live the beautiful Princess Rosetta of Oland!" He explained. "An evil fairy put a spell on her, and would make her sleep for one hundred year! To break the curse, only the prince can awaken her from her slumber."
Prince Julian rubs his chin. "I've heard the tale of the Sleeping Beauty ever since I was a little boy." He said before standing up and looking at the castle in the distance. "But I alway thought it was just a legend."
Silver stood next to him before shaking his head at him. "No, your highness, it's not just a made up story. This story happens to be real!"
N nodded, agreeing with Silver. "It's true! We happen to know our way to the castle of the Sleeping Beauty is at."
"And yet there's a castle right there," Prince Julian spoke softly.
"If you like, we are happy to guide you to the castle." N offered him.
"Yes please," Prince Julian nodded his head. "Please take me to the castle, I would like to meet the legendary Sleeping Beauty."
Stan wiggles his tail. "Will do buddy, let's go meet that princess!"
The prince offers the trio for the ride to the castle with his white horse.
"Oh heck yeah!" N quickly responded, getting on the front of the horse. "No way I'm going to walk over there for twenty or thirty minutes! I am not going to suffer that anymore!" The prince helped N climb up and they sat behind them, N helped pull Silver up as well where he then sat behind them and wrapped his arms around N waist.
"Lead the way Stan!"
The dog dash off and the prince's horse follows him as they head toward the castle of Sleeping Beauty. They ran as fast as they could, passing by the river, jumping over the wooden log, zooming from tree to tree, and running down the hill.
It wasn't long until they reached closer to the castle, just five point twenty five mile away.
"We're almost here!" Prince Julian announced to them.
They get closer and closer to the castle, they can feel their heart race beat faster as they approach the castle. However, their excitement didn't last for long. It wasn't until the group heard of the sound of the witch cackling behind them. N and Silver look over their shoulder to see Suzenna again flying in her broom.
"Oh no!" Silver exclaimed. "It's her! She's going to cause more trouble again!"
Suzenna flies past them until she stops in front of the castle and turns to face the group. She started to twirl her hand over her head and cast a massive wicked spell.
"A forest of thorns shall be their tomb. Born though the skies in a fog of doom. Now go with the curse and serve me well, round the castle cast my spell!"
Suzanne sent the spell-filled, crackling black cloud around the castle easily overtaking the speeding rider and his escorts. As lightning struck, the spell licked the ground around the castle and vines quickly grew with their sharp thorns interlocked. There were many black thorny plants covering nearly all parts of the kingdom including the gate of the castle.
Suzanna laughed in triumph as Prince Julian horse sided to a stop in the embrace of the thorns. The gang got their clothes caught on the sharp thorn and if they try to free themselves, it will tear their clothes. "Try getting your way inside the castle you fools!" The witch flew away as the gang could hear her cackling in the distance, getting quieter and quieter until the cackle was no more.
The thorn grew faster than they could ever before trapping the group, N and Julian tried pulling out their sword but due to the thorns surrounding them, they got a cut. Suddenly, huge thorns swoop up and grab Silver and Stan from the horse and they find themselves trapped in a cage made out of thorn vine.
"N! Prince Julian! Help!" Silver cried out. "Get us out of here!"
As much as they could help but they're still trapped! They couldn't use their sword or else they would get even more cuts.
"Do not worry!" They hear a soft and motherly voice. "Perhap I could help."
Floating above them was a woman with a darker skin tone and a plus size body type. She had a black short hair with a few baby hairs, she's dress in this gorgeous golden gown with off the shoulder neckline and puffy sleeves with white trim on both the neckline and sleeves, a flowing elegant gown and a pearls beading headpiece wrap around her head with a single pearl drop. The woman drove in the beautiful golden carriage pulled by two white elegant swans.
"Allow me to introduce myself." The floating woman said with a gentle smile. "I'm Felicity, one of the thirteen fairy and one of Princess Rosetta godmothers." She greeted them. "Good even to you too N, Silver, and Stan."
This shocked the trio, how could they possibly know their name? They never met nor encountered her before when they came here.
"How did you know our names?" N ask her. "We never actually met you before."
Felicity responds back with a smile. "That's correct my dear, while it is true that we have never met before but I have watched you from the moment you three arrive." She answered.
"Listen, more helping us than less talking!" Stan exclaimed from the cage. "It's messing my tail!"
Felicity took out her magic wand which happened to be gold with gold leaves and branches, she then closed her eyes and cast a spell. N and Prince Julian's sword began to glow white.
"Arm yourself with these enchanted mighty powers of strength. May these swords be stronger than ever before! For these weapons of righteousness will triumph over evil and darkness with love and light!"
Once she flew over them and finished casting a spell on their swords, N and Prince Julian pulled out and began to chop their way through the heavy thorns, but it was a bit trickier than expected. But the thorn grew again and again, this didn't stop N and Julian. They keep chopping the thorn that Suzenna cast.
Silver and Stan were still held prisoner in the thorn cage high up. N know there's no possible way to get up and free them nor can they get them down.
N snaps the thorn from the branch and points at the horse's thigh, causing the horse to shout in pain and shoots N up to the cage. N uses their sword to cut the thorn cage and free Silver and Stan. The trio fell down and landed on the horseback.
"Thank you N!" Silver smile. "You save us!" That's when Silver noticed in front of them.
"Guys Look!" Silver said.
Now they are facing the castle gate doors. N and Prince Julian got off of the horse and began chopping the thorn off the gate of the castle. Once all of the thorns and vines are chopped off and the doors are once able for the group to access inside.
The prince was relieved. When they enter through the gate, the group notices that the entire kingdom is still asleep, some are standing, some are sitting, and others are laying their back on the ground. However, they wouldn't be able to wake up from their eternal slumber until the beautiful princess woke up from her curse.
Prince Julian looked all around and until he started to look up to the higher tower of where the princess lay at. Prince Julian made a dash up to the stairs with the trio leading and headed straight up the topmost tower. He wasn't quite as agile now in his advanced age, but he managed to climb the tower at a fairly decent pace.
As soon as he reached the final room at the top, he stepped inside the princess bedchamber. He wasn't quite sure what he was expecting to find, given that one-hundred years had passed since the kingdom had fallen asleep, but his thoughts were so preoccupied by the beautiful princess laying atop the single bed.
"The enchanted Sleeping Beauty!" The prince gasped softly. "Just like the legend said!"
The Prince stood at the side of Princess bed. The prince kneeled down to a pretty princess, feeling her beautiful Afro hair gently. The prince bowed his head to the sleeping princess. She lay there, forever sleeping and forever beautiful. Still he knew with his heroic heart that he could save the damsel, all he had to do was kiss her. With a swell of prideful trust in his ability to be a hero, he gently placed his hand on the side of her face and caressed her soft smooth cheek. The prince immediately felt the strange sense of being out of place when he touched her. He couldn't help but compare them, and it tore away at him.
Now he grabs the princess hand, so smooth and soft like the fluffy cloud. He loved the princess so much, and was willing to protect her. Even when she was in deep sleep, she was the most beautiful princess of all the land.
"And now…… I am here to wake her."
The prince leaned in and took her hand, placing a kiss to the back of it as he closed his eyes before pulling back abruptly when he felt her hand move and her eyes open up. The princess looks at the prince and a smile slowly appears on her face. She began to sing.
[Song: Will you be there - Micheal Jackson]
Rosetta:
Hold me
The princess reaches her hand out to Prince Julian.
Julian:
Love me and need me
The prince took her hand and helped her stand up from her pillow.
Rosetta:
Kiss me and free me
The princess began to sing as the prince sang to create a beautiful harmony.
Both:
I will feel there
They gaze at each other's eyes with love inside. Silver placed his hands on his chest. "Is this so romantic?" Silver awe.
"At least he kisses her on her hand rather than on the lip considering she's asleep." N mutter.
The princess kept smiling at him. "I've been waiting for you. I knew you would come."
"But how could you possibly know about my love? The prince questioned her softness.
"In my long one hundred year sleep, The Good Fairy sent me wonderful dreams of you." The princess answered his question. "A dream where I have been woken up by a handsome prince of my dreams."
"It's true," Once again, Felicity came flowing into the princess's bedchamber balcony. "When she was under a sleeping spell, I sent her a beautiful and wonderful dream of the handsome prince who's destined to break her curse."
"So, does this handsome prince happen to be… me? My princess?" asked Prince Julian.
"I suppose you are… my prince," She said as she reached out and touched his face and the prince leaned forward and kissed his princess again. The kiss was powerful enough to wake up the others in the kingdom.
Just as this was happening now that the princess is awake, everyone, outside and inside, has started to wake up as well. The trio rush to the tower balcony and notice that all of the thorns suddenly vanish while the ivy and vines remain there with beautiful white roses that began to blossom and covered every part of the castle, the wall, the towers, the windows, and even the bridge.
They could hear the sound of the people cheering and celebrating.
Prince Julian stares at the trio. "Thank you for guiding and helping me to my princess." said the prince.
"Your welcome, your highness. It's our duty to do stuff like that." said N.
Just then, a portal on the wall opens up as it's time for them to go.
"You guys better get ready for the celebration," said Silver.
"What about you? Aren't you coming with us for the celebration?" The princess asked. "Sorry, your highness. We would love to join you but I'm afraid we have to go." Silver responded back to the Sleeping Beauty.
"Do we have to?" Stan whined, "They are about to start the party! And I want to eat some of their food they got!"
"Their food is literally one hundred year old!" N crossed their arms and reminded the dog. "I doubt it tastes good from all those years."
"You're leaving already? Alright, I will miss you. I hope to see you three again someday." said the princess.
"Thank you again for helping me, you three." The prince thanked the trio again.
"We're happy to help," N is the first one to step inside the portal while Stan follows them behind. As Silver was about to step inside, he looked over to his shoulder and gave them one last goodbye wave to them. "Goodbye Prince Julian and Princess Rosetta! I hope you have a wonderful life together!" He shouted as he stepped inside, the portal was then closed.
"Goodbye!" The couple and Felicity shouted back.
And now off they go to another story of the storybook.
Storybook 3: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕎𝕚𝕫𝕒𝕣𝕕 𝕠𝕗 𝕆𝕫
N, Silver, and Stan were then transported to another story of the fairy tales book. When they open their eyes, they are in some sort of dark place. Lots of dead trees (most still have dry and dead leaves) and the sound of crows.
"Where are we now…?" Silver asks, but when he looks down and gasps to see what he was wearing.
He's wearing an off the shoulder white bodice that features two puff drawstring sleeves with blue trim on the top and bottom, an high waisted tea-length skirt that has an a-line silhouette with a petticoat underneath the skirt and white bloomer above his knees. Bias straps suspenders go over his shoulder with white buttons to accent.
He wore a white ankle-length sock with a low silver glitter slipper. Although his hair isn't long enough to make a lower braided pigtail like Dorothy so instead his curly hair has been smooths out in a half up half down with a periwinkle blue and white checkered bow in the middle. To complete his costume, he carries a dark brown straw basket in his arm.
Silver looks to see that N is dressed as a scarecrow. They're wearing these dark green plaid shirts with long puff sleeves with the cuffs with their tail underneath the shirt. They also wore dark brown long overalls and an black scarecrow hat. They even wore light brown boots and a few straws poked out of his attire and held an axe instead of the sword to match their already established scarecrow looks.
As for Stan, the dog wore a hooded jacket using hook and loop fasteners to fasten under his belly. Attached the hood features fur, ears, & red bow and a tail attached to back.
"How come you guys get to wear that amazing clothes but yet I only got to wear this lame-o lion costume." Stan started to complain. Silver and N look at each other and analyze their costume.
"Guys…. I don't think we're in the Magic Kingdom anymore." Silver called out, looking at his surroundings.
"I think we're in an Wizard of Oz." N said to them.
"Is Wizard of Oz even a fairytale?" Stan questions them.
"Beat me," N answered back, not sure how to answer the dog question. "I mean…. sure there is magic, witches, flying monkeys, talking animals, munchkins… but they don't have any fairies."
"If only Gabriel was here with us, he would answer your question considering he knows everything." Silver added.
As the trio walked further and further into the spooky woods they spotted a sign nailed to a tree which N read aloud to them.
'Danger! Danger! Suzanne's castle is four miles away.' N read and looked at the others questioningly. Silver looked determined to continue.
"We should continue," Silver responded. "We're almost at her castle. If she is in her castle then we better come up with a plan to defeat her and get back home." N agreed and led the way into the woods.
As they walked, the winged monkeys approached from the sky. The trio get frightened as they run, the winged monkeys swooping down to the ground. Silver is chased by two winged monkeys.
He tried wacky and hitting them with his straw basket in order to defend himself. "Help! Help!"
"Silver!" N yelled as they raised their sword but there were dozens of the winged creatures. N began swinging and slashing their axe around in an attempt to ward them off. "You guys try to get into safety! I can hold them off!"
Both Stan and Silver attempted to run. However a pair of winged monkeys grabbed Silver. Silver scream tried to fight off and twisted his body around to see the ground flash underneath him as the monkeys flew off with him.
One flying monkey attempts to pick up Stan to carry him off as well but was unsuccessful due to the dog taking a bite on the flying monkey's hand to free himself. All of the winged monkeys fly back to the Witch's castle and within moments a large, dark fortress rises out of the mountainside and it was on the topmost balcony that the monkeys carrying Silver dropped him onto the concrete floor.
Silver got up and turned to get a look at the winged creature who was guarding the balcony, Silver ran and headed toward the door but another monkey stepped in and blocked his way. With no way out, Silver was trapped and looked around. The room was lit by some candles and there were several books as well as what appeared to be potion ingredients and various powders on the shelves walls.
In the centre of the room was a massive glass ball filled with what appeared to be dark smoke. Silver gingerly approached the massive glass ball when the door opened and entered the room as the witch herself.
Suzanne.
But Suzanne was wearing another dress attire rather than the one that Silver first saw her wearing in the library.
It was a black witch attire look. The cotton blouse has a lace jabot cascading from the classic high collar. A lace ruffle finishes the high neckline, and long tapered sleeves are made of horizontal pleated cotton running the entire length from shoulder to wrist. A wide black lace ruffle finishes the cuff. The matching skirt is gathered to a buttoned waistband and a wide cotton flounce finishes the hem.
On top of her head was an black witch hat made from black wool/rayon felt and has a double-thick wired brim which stands out on its own. A long black mesh ribbon tail trails down the back and a pair of lace-up black Victorian style boots. Her hair was tied into a lower bun and she's holding a broom in her right hand.
"Ah Silver, how nice of you to drop in." Suzanne commented. "What an unexpected pleasure. It's so kind of you to visit me in my loneliness." She chuckled.
"What are you gonna do with me?" Silver exclaimed, trying to be brave but also scared. "Turn me into a frog? A beast?"
Suzanne cackles in response. "You and your friends have been more trouble to me than worth one way or another." She walks to her table as Silver stares at her.
"But it'll soon be over now!" She shows him the large hourglass that has blood-red sand. "Do you see that? That's how much longer you've got to be alive."
Silver gasps in horror. "What!?" He shrieked.
"Oh! But don't worry my pretty." She reassured him, patted his top head and placed the hourglass onto the table. "It won't take long! I can't wait to see the look of your friend's face when I give them the news!"
Suzanne walked out of her room along with the flying monkey and locked the door, she placed her key inside of her pocket skirt and patted the key. Silver immediately ran to the door and tried to open it. He cried for help, but no one would come and help him, he was all doomed.
"No, you can't keep me here! Let me out! You must let me out! Oh, please!" Silver cried. Suzanne cackles at his cries and walks downstairs leaving Silver in her room locked up.
Back to N and Stan, Stan use his nose to lead N to the Suzenna's fortress where Silver is kept inside which he managed to did. They hid behind the dead trees and giant rocks.
"What's that?" Stan whispered to N.
"That's the castle of Suzanne, the Witch." N whispered back to him.
"Don't tell me Silver's in that awful place?" Stan whined. "Oh, I hate to think of him there. We've got to get him out."
"Don't worry." N gently pet the dog head. "We will rescue him and find the way to defeat Suzanne once and for all.
Stan sees someone and looks at them. "Who's them?"
Outside of the Witch's castle. The guards are marching as they chant.
This gives N an idea. "I've got a plan how to get in there!"
"Oh good. You got a plan." Stan rolled his eyes.
"And you're gonna lead me." N lead toward the dog ear.
"Yeah……." That's when Stan realizes what N said. "Wait what! Me !?" Stan was surprised.
N roll their eyes. "Yes, you."
"I gotta get him out of there?
"That's right." N nodded.
"All right, I'll go in there for Silver. Wicked Witch or no Wicked Witch. Guards or no guards, I'll tear them apart. Ruff!" Stan starts to get into position and ready to fight. "I may not come out alive… unless that's possible, but I'm going in there. There's only one thing I want you to do."
N raises their eyebrows. "And what is that?"
"Talk me out of it." Stan tries to leave.
"Oh no, you don't!" N grab Stan's tail and pull him back.
"Ugh, come on!" Stan groan.
N urges Stan to do it as they both watch the guards march. The one guard approached them as Stan felt scared and whimpered, N shushed him. The guard came down and ambushed them. Then N and Stan fight back the guard overpowering him. N is now wearing the guard's uniform and Stan is hiding inside the coat. The guards form a line to march into the castle.
N comes down and follows the Winkie guards into the castle, the castle drawbridge closes and N stops and thinks. They quickly hid in one of the hallways and unbuttoned their guard coat, releasing Stan.
"Finally!" Stan jumps off of the coat and stretches his body out. "It sinks inside! They really need to wash their clothes more often, it smells like garbage in there! Seriously though, do they have a laundry room in this fortress?"
N immediately take off the guard uniform and check to see if the coast is clear.
"Where do we go now?" Stan asks.
"Can you smell or scent Silver in this fortress Stan?" N ask the dog.
"I will see what I can do…" Stan uses his dog scent to find Silver. He did manage to catch his scent. "I know where he is! Follow me!"
They both run upstairs to the tower, they make sure to not get caught or spotted by the guards and Stan leads them both to the locked door where Silver was locked in.
"Wait! We better make sure." N said to Stand before approaching the wooden double doors. "Silver, are you in there? It's us! N and Stan!"
Inside, Silver ran toward the door. "Yes! It's me!" He answered. "Suzanne's locked me in!"
"Listen, N. It's him!" Stan's tail began to wag. "We gotta get him out! Come on! Open this door!"
Silver looks at the hourglass running out, terrified. He pounds on the door. "Oh, hurry! Please hurry! The hourglass is almost empty!"
"Stand back!" N starts chopping the door with their axe as the hourglass runs out then Silver comes out and gives N a hug. "Oh thank you N! And thank you too Stan! Both of you!" Silver smiled and thanked them for breaking him out.
But no sooner had they taken one step away from the broken door, the trio heard an ear-piercing screech. One of the flying monkeys had been sitting perched above the door this whole time. At the sight of the group, he raised his wings and took off down the corridor, shrieking, the torches bursting into flame.
"Quick, you guys! This way!" N pointed in the other direction. "Hurry!"
Silver and Stan went ahead while N looked up as they and the other two gasped. The flying monkey had called on Suzanne's army as they ran toward them with their weapon in hand. The three immediately run toward the window.
While Silver and N went to the window, N spun around and used their axe to keep the guards at bay. Then they jumped up onto the window with Silver and Stan then the three of them all hopped off of and onto the roof. N slid down a rocky slide behind them to get away from the guards and the flying monkey started to alert a few more.
The three of them landed onto the foyer stairway of the fortress. N could see the door open, they immediately grabbed Silver wrist and spirited toward the open doors. But the doors suddenly slam shut in front of their faces.
"No!" N shouted.
"Leaving so soon are we?"
All three heard the witch's voice behind them and saw they were surrounded by guards and Suzanne appeared at the top of the stairs.
"You know. It is very disrespectful and rude to leave without informing your host, I guess I'll kill you three now!" Suzenna crackled as she made her way down the stairs, broomstick in hand and evil in her eyes as she looked at them.
N looks at the chandelier which gives them the idea. The Wicked Witch shrieks and throws the hourglass to the floor below which it bursts into flames and is destroyed. N cuts the rope with their axe which causes the chandelier to land on the guards trapping them. N, Silver, and Stan run for their lives as they head down to another direction.
"Seize them! Seize them!" She ordered them. "Stop them, you fools stop them! Seize them! Seize them!"
She along with the flying monkey runs with the guards then the trio go up the stairs.
"There they go! Now we've got them! Half of you go this way, half of you go that way. Hurry! Hurry!" She orders her minions.
The trio ran down the stairs and along the parapets of the castle.
"Where do we go now?" Stan asks N.
"This way. Come on!" N said as they ran to their run and they saw the guards come down the stairs. "Oh crap! Go back! Go back!" Half of the guards come down as well. The trio scream as the guards corner them with their spears trapping them once again.
"Well! Ring around the rosie!" Suzanne came forward to the trio group. "A pocket full of spears! Thought you'd be pretty ones, didn't you? Well, the last to go will see the first three to go before you! And your mangy dog too!"
N, Silver, and Stan cringe in fear then the Wicked Witch raises her broomstick to ignite the twig tail from some of the candles hanging from the ceiling and aiming it at them.
[Song: Scream and Shout - Will I am ft Brittany Spear
Guards:
She sayin' oh we oh, we oh, we oh
We saying' oh we oh, we oh, we oh
The witch let out a cackle as the guards moved closer and pointed their sharp pointed spear at the trio who were now trapped in the corner with nowhere to escape.
Suzanne:
I wanna scream (Guards: Oh we oh) and shout (Guards: we oh) and let it all out (Guards: Oh oh)! I wanna scream (Guards: Oh we oh) and shout, (Guards: we oh) and let it all out Ah! Ahahahahah!
N, Silver, and Stan steps backward from the fire and the guards as well. They were now trapped with nowhere else to escape, N already had their axe out but due to the fact that there were so many guards, it was impossible for them to defeat them.
Guards:
oh we oh, we oh, we oh
As they took a step back, Silver felt his foot hit a bucket. However, before he could question why there was a random bucket full of water sitting there, Suzanne had lit N's sleeve on fire causing them to jump up and down and trying to get the flame out of their sleeve and Silver reacted instinctively.
Guards:
You are now, now rocking with!
"SILVER!!!" N shriek, still trying to get the flame out.
He immediately grabs the bucket behind, and throws it at both N and Suzanne.
"You wicked witch!" Silver shouted, successfully dousing the flames on N's sleeve and soaking Suzanne's head and body.
The trio were all startled as Suzanne let out a blood curdling scream and she looked like she appeared to be shrinking…. No wait… she's actually melting, melting into the concrete floor! None of them knew what to do or how to even stop it as Suzanne melted before their very eyes, screeching like a banshee as she did so.
"You! You fool! Look what you've done! I'm melting! Melting! Oh what a world, what a world! Who could have thought a boy like you could ruin my beautiful wickedness!" Suzanne claimed as she melted and melted away. Her cries fade out as everyone looks down. Stan sniffs a puddle of her green skin liquid, her witches attire and her broomstick.
For a moment there was complete total silence as N, Silver, Stan, and everyone stared at what remained of Suzanne.
Silver finally drops the now-empty bucket that was in his hands, quickly covering both his mouth and nose with both of his hands with pure shock and horror expression in his wide eyes. The flying monkey approached Suzanne's remains and then looked at the trio.
"You!" He slowly raises his finger and points at the terrified and frightened Silver. "You… you killed her!" He said with a grin. "You actually killed the witch!"
"I-I-I swear! I didn't mean to but N's sleeve was on fire and honestly, I didn't think she would melt!" Silver replied truthfully and apologetically, and yet also panicked. He genuinely did not expect the wicked Suzanne to melt. Both N and Stan nodded, agreeing with him. Neither of them expect that to happen. But then again, they are in the Wizard of Oz story so she is expected to melt from the water.
However, they didn't actually think she would melt like that since she isn't the actual wicked witch, she's just playing her character.
"Don't worry, you've freed us all. She's been keeping us prisoner here for years, forcing us to work as her slaves. Now we're free thanks to you." He beamed at Silver as the guards and the flying monkeys began cheering for him.
"Hail! Hail to our heroes! The Wicked Witch is dead!" The three of them smiled knowing that they were all free. Free at last, no longer to serve under Suzanne command.
Suddenly the celebration was interrupted by the wind that began blasting and brushing by everyone in the fortress, also knocking N's scarecrow hat off on their head. Everyone looked up and saw the magic golden light that began to eat away every part of Suzenna's fortress like mad. All of the bricks, candle wall-mounts, banners, and others of the fortress were sucked away in a magical tornado.
"What?!" N yelled in dismay.
Then, one-by-one, each guard and the flying monkeys began to puff away into puffs of golden smoke, some even trying to flee but were puffing away like the rest.
"Guys!" Silver cried out before he and Stan both moved closer to N and Silver clung his arms around N's arm tightly. "N…. what's happening!?!?"
The horrified imp, the only three remaining huddled together in the middle, while shouting in alarm as the whole world around them was tearing away and disappearing.
"What is going on?!" Stan then panicked.
"N!" Sliver looked at them. "I'm scared!"
Then the concrete floor under them, the only thing remaining, crackled away and all three began falling down into an abyss of pure golden light while screaming out loud in horror, before everything went black for them.
N, Silver, and Stan slowly opened their eyes, and winced. They could hear shouting nearby and wished it would stop, because it was giving them a headache.
"They're back!" someone shouted, and they sat up, puzzled. Looking around, the trio realised they were lying on the title floor of the library. A few feet away from the shattering window, N was getting shakily to their feet, and holding out a hand to Gabriel.
"What happened?" N demanded, confused.
"The freaking Witch happens!" Finnick supplied.
"You were all sucked inside of the book by her so Finnick and I managed to escape from her and went to find Gabriel for help." Mirabel explains everything. "So we did and he managed to get you guys to get out of the storybook."
"Are you guys okay?" Gabriel asks them, a bit concerned about his friend's well being.
N rubbed their head. "I'm a bit dizzy. Feels like someone dropped a house on me." Saw out of the corner of their eye Silver on the floor looking for his glasses. "Does everyone see my glasses? I can't see anything at all!"
"Found it!" Mirabel grabbed his glasses and gave it to him, to which he thanked her.
Stan was groaning as he stretched his body. "Boy! It's so good to be back!" He grinned, looking back at his friends. "And it looks like we're back in our regular clothes again!"
"I will say!" N stretch their arms and legs. "We went to three different stories and had to help the main characters reach their happy ending!"
N, Silver and Stan both began to tell their friends about their incredible journey they went through, how each outfit they wear matched the story setting they are in, how they met the fairy tales characters and N also helped Jack cut down the Beanstalk to defeat the giant, helping Prince Julian reach Princess Rosetta to kiss the sleeping beauty. They even talk about defeating the wicked Suzanne.
"Then, Silver just threw a bucket of water at her!" Stan told them.
"Which he didn't mean too, he was intent on throwing it at me to get the flame out of my sleeve." N added.
"But I did especially end up killing her by accident" Silver chimed in. "Her guards were extremely overjoyed and how happy they are that she's dead and no longer has to serve her anymore."
"Really huh?" Gabriel chuckled. "Judging by the way you three tell your adventures to us. You three surely have an amazing adventure don't you?"
"Oh it's Gabriel," Silver let out a soft smile. "It really does. While I do enjoy our adventure inside of the storybook, there's one place that I would alway come back to."
"Like what Silver?" Gabriel asks him.
Silver responded back with a giggle and a soft smile.
"There's no place like home."
I try my best to make the two story time period accurate. Jack and the Beanstalk takes place in the Elizabethan Era while Sleeping Beauty takes place in the Rococo Era (100 year later). I double check to make sure every character that dresses accurately to the time period that the story takes place and also takes creative liberty of their outfit as well in the Wizard of Oz.
Also fun fact: In the Wizard of Oz section, Silver wears a pair of silver slippers which is a reference to the book by L. Frank Baum novel that the film is based on. However, the color of the slippers was changed from silver to red ruby to show off the Technicolor.
Credit goes to pem cosplay art on Instagram, I based Silver Dorothy costume from his version of Dorothy.
Anyway, review if you can. I would like to see your thoughts about this chapter so far! The reviews are the best form of motivation! Let me know what you think and see you all for the next one-shots chapter. Thank you. :)
